A/N: Hey guys! I'm back with Part 1 of a special 3 part drabble set I'm doing for this series! Hope you like it!

The night is young and sparkling and she can't keep the smile off her face when she steps into the restaurant. He's already there, at the corner booth, their booth, as she likes to call it.

"Hey babe." The words leave her lips easily, followed by a quick kiss to his cheek as she sits down in front of him.

"Hey."

She orders her favorite wine, smoothing a nervous hand over the white cloth as she looks at him.

She never believed she'd get this lucky. He's sitting in front of her with that same wide smile on his face that he had the day they met. He takes her hand in his and everything just feels right.

One day, she'll figure out why he chose her.

But today she just sits and stares and takes in the way his eyes shine in the dim light, how he plays with the stray curl from her pinned up hair, the soft way he tells her she's the one he wants.

It's beautiful.

She sighs happily. Love, she thinks, should be like this. So full of—

Shattering glass, breaks her out of her thoughts as the wine spills over the table and onto the floor.

A waiter is rushing over, telling her it's okay but she doesn't know why.

There's a wetness to her cheeks. She touches her face to find a black, inky substance staining her fingers when she looks down.

Heart racing, she looks in front of her to find the seat empty. The dim light is brighter, daylight is filtering through the nearby window now.

The shards of glass are gone, leaving the white tablecloth as pristine as it was two years ago. But the wetness on her cheeks persists, strands of hair sticking to her face as they fall out of her ponytail.

Something's wrong.

She frowns, shaking her head and stirring up the dust that's settled down. Something is definitely off, something…

Closing her eyes, she takes a deep breath to settle herself.

The waiter brings her favorite wine, and he takes her hand. Everything feels just right as he presses a kiss to her knuckles and reminds her that she's the one he wants.

Glass shatters all over the white cloth but she stays still, rooted in her spot, just sitting and staring.

One day, she'll figure out why he left.

Please Review! I'd love to hear your thoughts!
