Haley was in the middle of packing a few suitcases for her trip to Atlanta, which both her and Nathan leaves in the morning for. They were gonna stay at her parents for a few days after Thanksgiving. Haley had thought about getting a hotel, but when she saw,the hotel costs. Haley decided it would be cheaper to stay with their parents. Besides there's plenty space and lot of room as well.
Zipping up her third suitcase when she heard a knock coming from her front door. She blew out some air as she turned around and walked out and across the living room towards the door. Pulling the door open, Haley sighs softly. " Hi.,"
" Still mad at me?" Nathan asked softly.
Haley shrugs her shoulders as she crossed her arms against her chest." That depends though."
" On what?"
" On if your seriously considering of actually meeting Taylor tomorrow. "
" Hales... why are you so against me wanting to meet your sister? I've already met Quinn and you had no problem with that. So, what's the problem with me wanting to meet Taylor?" Nathan asked with confusion as he couldn't understand why Haley is acting like this.
" I have my reasons Nathan." Haley answered as she walked away from him and walked towards the couch and sat down. " Taylor isn't exactly my favorite person right now and I'm still pissed off at her for what she did four years ago."
" What are you talking about? What did Taylor do? " Nathan asked as he walked further into the apartment and closed the door behind him as he walked over to Haley." Haley, what's going on?" He asked as he sat down next to her.
Haley exhales deeply as she pinch the bridge of her nose as she closed her eyes."Nothing is going on, cab we just drop it." Haley was already getting irritated and frustrated with Nathan's questions that she just wanted him to drop it already.
" What? No, I can't drop it Haley. Look I'm about to meet the rest of your family, but for some reason I can't meet Taylor and you won't tell me why. Don't you think I deserve to know why?" Nathan asked softly.
" Why do you even want to know? " Haley asked softly as she shook her head and looks down.
" Because I need to know what I'm up against. " Nathan answered with a chuckle.
Haley closed her eyes for as she took a deep breath. She really can't believe that she's actually going to have this conversation with him. But Nathan's right he does deserve to know why she doesn't him to meet Taylor tomorrow, let alone be around her.
She sat up as she. turns around and looks at Nathan." When I was a freshman in College, I met a guy in my English class. His name was David Smith and he was also a freshman. Anyways, we sorta hit it off and we started dating. Everything was great between us... until four years ago. "
" What happened four years ago?"
Haley sighs deeply as she ran her hands down her face." Taylor happened."
" Damn, how did you find out? "
" I caught them in bed together. I had just gotten back from New York, Brooke had her fashion show in New York that weekend. So she invited me and Peyton to go along with her. Anyway when I went David's dorm room to surprise him. The surprise ended up turning on me." Haley answers bitterly.
" But Hales, that was four years ago though."
Haley brought her eyebrows together as she glares at Nathan for a moment. " David dumped me for Taylor Nathan. During our Junior year of college. He leaves me for my sister. For my fucking sister!" Haley spats out.
" And I get that Hales. But I'm not your ex boyfriend. I am just meeting Taylor that is all. I don't want to sleep with your sister and I don't plan on leaving you for her either." Nathan said honestly as he looks deeply in her eyes.
" Oh really? Why?" Haley asked as she raised her eyebrows as she challenged him.
Nathan nods his head as he gently grabs Haley by her ankles and pulls her down on to the couch and settle between her legs as he leans his head down and gently rub his nose against her." Yes really. Because there's only one James that I need in my life, and that's you Haley James." He whispers against her lips as he pressed his lips against hers and kisses her deeply and passionately.
Haley smiles against his lips as she was very pleased with his answer as she kisses him back with so much passion and desire as she wraps her arms around his neck and hooks her legs around his waist as,she slowly arches her back.
Nathan smirks as he felt her legs around his waist as he pressed his body down against hers as he gently kisses her chest moving towards her neck as he grazes his fingertips against her thighs." Mmmm, I love you Haley James. " He mumbled against her neck as he nipples and sucks on her neck and groans against her neck.
The next morning Haley was in the kitchen making breakfast for her and Nathan before they head out on the road and drive to Atlanta to visit her family for Thanksgiving. If it was just her going then she wouldn't have to worry about anything. But since it's not just her and she's bringing Nathan along with her. She's a little nervous about introducing Nathan to the rest of her family. It was fine when she introduced Nathan to her parents when they came to Brooke's wedding. But this time it's her whole family and she's little nervous about the whole thing.
She's also worried that Taylor won't keep her distance either. When Haley called Taylor late last night after Nathan went to sleep, Haley made Taylor promise that she will keep her distance from Nathan the whole time they're there and Taylor swore that she will keep her distance since she was already bringing someone anyway. Haley just hopes Taylor stays away. Haley exhales as soon as she heard her cell going off.
" Hello." Haley greeted as soon as she answered her cell.
" Hey sis." Quinn answered as soon as she heard Haley's voice. Five months ago when Haley confronted Quinn about David, they haven't talked to each other for at a least month. Even though Haley had forgiven Quinn for giving David her phone number and they are talking again, Haley won't forget.
Haley looks up at the sky as she roll her eyes." Hey Quinn." Haley said as she glanced over her shoulder as she noticed Nathan walking into the kitchen. She reached for his plate of food and hands it to him." What can I do for you?"
" Well, I was calling because I was wondering if you and Nathan left for Atlanta yet."
" No, we are about to eat breakfast first. Why?" Haley asked as she wonders why Quinn wants to know if they left yet or not.
" Well, the thing is that. Clay's car won't start and I was kinda hoping that maybe you and Nathan can let us carpool with you guys." Quinn normally won't ask Haley for favors like this. But with her car at Keith Scott's Auto repair and now that Clay's car won't start. She really doesn't have a choice.
Haley exhales deeply as she nods her head." Yeah, we can pick you guys up. Just be ready to go in a couple of hours oh and Quinn, make sure you are not bringing too many suitcases with you. "
" Whatever Hales, I don't have that much suitcases to pack." Quinn said with a chuckle and an eye roll.
" Just be ready Quinn. Bye." Haley said as she hangs up ending the conversation. Tugging her cell into her pocket. Haley grabs,her plate and cup of coffee and joins Nathan at the table. Setting her plate and cup down Haley leans over the table and kisses Nathan gently as she smiles against his lips." Good morning."
" Mmmm, good morning." Nathan said softly as he kisses her passionately and deeply as he pulls back." So, what did Quinn want?" He asked as he started to eat his eggs and took a drink of his coffee as he watched Haley sit back down.
Haley exhales deeply as she answers his question." Well seems like Clay's car won't start and since hers is still in the shop. She asked if we could pick them up and ride with us, as we head out to Atlanta." Haley said as she took a drink of her coffee before setting her cup down.
" And when did you tell her that we will be there?"
" I told her that they should be ready in a couple of hours."
" Quinn, do you really need all of those suitcases?" Haley questioned as she noticed Quinn had at least four suitcases with her." We are only staying with mom and dad for a week." Haley reminded her with a small chuckle.
" I know,that, but I need everything that's inside of them." Quinn answered as she glanced over at Clay in hopes,that he would help her out some how.
Clay shook his head as,he noticed Quinn was looking at him." Oh, no. Don't look at me. I also told you were bringing too many suitcases. As matter of fact I suggested that you at least should bring two or three. But you shot down my suggestion." He said with a shrug as he continue to help Nathan load up Haley's suv.
Quinn huffed as she rolled her eyes as she knew,that she wasn't win the argument and there was already three against one, so she gave up." Fine, you guys win. I will only bring three of my suitcases." She said as she grabbed the biggest suicase she has and rolled them back to the house.
" Thanks Quinny, and hurry up. I wanna be on the road as soon as possible." Haley called out as she got behind the wheel and closed the door as soon as she heard Nathan walking up to her door." What?"
" I thought I was driving." Nathan answered with a smirk as he assumed that Haley would want to ride the back with Quinn, so they can catch up.
Halry nods her head as she started up the engine." You are and you will. But I kinda wanna drive for the first half." She said with a smile as she got her seatbelt on." Are you good with that?"
Nathan nods his head as he leans in and pecks Haley lips a few times." Yeah, I'm good with that." He answered as he walked around the suv and got into the passagner side.
Once everything was packed into suv and everyone was inside and buckled in. Haley pulled back the stick, putting the suv into drive and started to drive away from the beach house. Heading towards Atlanta.
" Oh before I forget Haley. Our grandparents are gonna be joining us for Thanksgiving as well." Quinn mentioned as Haley made a stop at a red light. She crindge by the look on Haley's face as she noticed Haley was glaring at her from the mirror above.
" Which ones?" Haley asked gritted out her teeth.
" Both of them." Quinn answered quietly.
Haley sighs deeply as she started to drive as the light turned green." Perfect. Just what I need right now." Haley said under her breath. Haley hasn't spoken to any of her grandparents. Well at least not with both of her grandmothers, not since her and David broke up. Both of her grandmothers seems to belive that her and David was like the perfect couple and they sorta are not too thrilled that Haley let him go. As matter of fact, they were kinda hoping that Haley and David would get back together.
" What's wrong with your grandparents?" Nathan asked with concern and confusion at the same time.
" Your about to find out." Haley answered simply as she drove them past the Tree Hill exit sign.
A: Here's a new chapter and yes it's a little long. Actually I'm gonna try to make every chapter longer this time. Also I'm gonna have Haley introduce Nathan to the rest of her family in the next chapter. So stay in tune for that.
