Percy flew to New York. His heart ached. It burned in a way it never had before. Everything was calling him to go back to his family. But to protect him, he had to stay away.

And Percy couldn't go back to camp. Not yet. Percy had told Frank about Percy and Annabeth's 'divorce' being finalized. And Frank definitely told Hazel. And Hazel told Piper. And Piper would tell Leo. And Leo would tell Calypso. Maybe someone would tell Reyna and Nico. Someone would tell Grover. And between all the gossip spreading, other campers would be sure to overhear. The whole camp likely knew by now and Percy couldn't deal it with. Not when his heart was already ripped in two.

Percy stayed in a smelly, roadside motel outside the city for the night. He used the same aversion Percy's mom had when she had married Smelly Gabe. Smelling bad to put monsters off of Percy's scent.

Then Percy scrubbed himself clean. He doubted that it did much, but it helped. He was going to be risking getting detected going to his mom's, but he had to risk it. New York was a big, smelly city and as long as he didn't stay put for long, he would be okay. He just needed his mother's hug, even if she would have no idea what for.

Percy took a deep breath before he knocked on the apartment door. There was a pause before a young voice screamed, "I'll get it."

The door opened and there stood Percy's little sister. She paused for a moment before throwing her arms around his torso. It took everything in Percy not to cry. He hadn't seen Estelle since he and Annabeth had left the city abruptly.

Estelle didn't say anything. She just stayed latched to her brother. Slowly, Percy maneuvered around her and wrapped his arms around his sister. If possible, she squeezed even harder.

"Who was at the door?" Sally came around the corner and stopped dead in her tracks.

A flurry of emotions flashed past Sally's eyes. Anger. Fury. Sadness. Disappointment. Happiness. Too many things to say.

Percy swallowed. "I, we," he took a breath. "I finalized my divorce. I needed to clear the rest of my stuff out of my apartment." The excuse he would use. In reality, Thalia and Grover had cleaned out their apartment sending Annabeth and his stuff to Minnesota.

Percy's mother stood still.

"I'm sorry," Percy blinked. "I should go. I—"

"Percy," Sally began. "Come in."

Percy swallowed again. Estelle let go of him in order to let Percy come inside. Then his mother and he were in a stand-off. Paul stood behind in wife in awe of his stepson finally back in the city.

Then, Sally walked slowly and wrapped her son in a hug. All the anger and resentment gone. Percy let out a single sob as he returned the hug.

"Mom," Percy began.

"I know, baby, I know," Sally rubbed his back. Then, she pulled away and grabbed his face in his hands. "How about we make some blue cookies?"

As they baked, Percy couldn't help but think of Amaya. Of the hole in his heart when he was away from her. Sally thought Percy was in pain because of his divorce, but she couldn't guess the half of it.

Percy wondered if when Amaya was older if he would make blue cookies with her. In reality, she should really make them with her grandma. Amaya's grandma. Sally was a grandmother, and she didn't know it. Estelle hummed happily helping. Estelle had a niece. She was an aunt. Paul was a grandfather. None of them knew how Percy, and their lives, had just changed. And they wouldn't know for a lot longer.

As the cookies baked, Estelle blabbered on and on about school and her friends. Even through it, Percy could sense the resentment she held. She loved Annabeth too and Percy had taken her away.

When Estelle paused in her conversation, Sally butted in.

"Sweetheart, don't you have some homework to get done?" She asked. Estelle started to object, but Sally gave her the listen to me look. Percy would have to perfect that look with Amaya soon (or more likely, Annabeth would). Estelle sighed and left the room.

Sally began to open her mouth, but Percy didn't want to hear it. Too much had been going on. Too much had changed in the last few days. He didn't need to get yelled at by his mom. Then, a thought appeared in Percy's mind.

"I want to take Estelle to camp," Percy began.

Sally's jaw clamped shut as Paul's dropped open. "You what?" he asked.

"I want to take her to Camp Half-blood," he repeated.

"Percy," his mother warned.

"She's a mortal," Paul said.

Percy nodded. "I know, but she's also my sister. She deserves to know why I disappear so often. Why I can't see her now."

"She's too young," Sally countered.

"Mom, I was her age when I went to camp for the first time," Percy said.

"But it was because you had to. I would have held you as long as I could," Sally argued.

"We already know she can see through the mist," Percy added.

When Estelle was young, there were quite a few isolated incidents where she saw a monster. A few times before Percy and Annabeth had, giggling at the silly creatures. Since then, Percy and Annabeth had done their best to shield Estelle from the events, but they could only do that for so much longer. If Estelle saw a monster now, they couldn't pass it off as her imagination. She was just too smart.

"Honey," Paul took his wife's hands. "It's not a bad idea and Percy has a point."

Sally sighed in defeat, knowing it would be a good idea. "You'll look after her the whole time."

Percy nodded. "And I can get Grover to bring her back to the city. Estelle already knows him, and he'll need the practice. Juniper's pregnant."

Sally smiled. "That's amazing. I always thought about when you and Annabeth," she let the thought die. To her, there was no him and Annabeth anymore. She couldn't fathom the reality.

This was exactly what Percy needed. He couldn't spend time with his baby girl so he would spend time with his baby sister (although she was definitely not a baby anymore).

"Estelle will freak when she finds out he's a satyr," Percy said.

"Like, half-goat?" Estelle broke around the corner. Of course, she had been listening in on their conversation the whole time.

Percy grinned. "You want to see a really cool place?"

Sally's eyes widened. "You want to take her now?"

Percy shrugged. "I think it would be good," plus, no one would ask him about his 'divorce' with his little sister around.

Sally frowned. "Percy, we really should talk. I—"

Percy stood up. Anything to avoid the conversation. "I think we should go. Want to meet my horse?"

Estelle's mouth dropped open. "You have a horse?"

Percy shrugged. "I mean, he's not really a horse. He's a Pegasus."

Estelle crossed her arms. "Now you're joking with me. There are no such things as Pegasus."

Percy cocked an eyebrow. "Are you sure? How do you think we were able to tell such great stories when you were little?" He left out the we of him and Annabeth.

Estelle frowned. "I don't believe you."
Percy held out his hand. "I'll just have to show you then."

Estelle glanced at her mom, waiting for permission. Sally gave a curt nod.

"Go ahead. Just make sure you listen to your brother," Sally said.

Percy left the apartment with his sister. Estelle jabbered the whole way up the elevator to the roof. He couldn't wait to show her camp. And someday, he'd get to show Amaya camp. His heart ached thinking of his growing daughter.

They got off the elevator and walked the last flight of stairs to the roof. Percy opened the door and Estelle gasped. There Blackjack waited patiently for Percy's return, his black wings outstretched.

Estelle's eyes were wide. She glanced at her brother. "Am I hallucinating?"

'Sup, boss. Who's the kid? Blackjack neighed.

"Blackjack, this is my sister Estelle. Estelle, this is Blackjack," Percy introduced.

Hello, Blackjack gave a stiff nod. Can we get donuts now?

Percy rolled his eyes. "I can see if we can get some at camp. But we should hurry," before any monsters catch on to my scent, Percy thought.

Estelle's jaw dropped. She stuttered, "Did you, what just, what?" She shook her head.

Percy laughed. "Yeah, my father created horses so I can understand them. That and all sea creatures. The aquarium is a nightmare to go to," although he would definitely take Amaya there one day.

Estelle took a step back. "Wait, horses, sea creatures," the wheels in Estelle's head were turning. "Your dad, Poseidon, he's not, you can't."

Percy placed his hand on Estelle's shoulder. "I'll explain everything at camp. For now, hold your thoughts. Names hold power."

Estelle bit her lip and nodded. She followed Percy who easily hopped up onto Blackjack. Percy helped his sister up.

"Hold on tight," he said, and Estelle wrapped her arms tight around her brother. Then, they were off.

To her credit, Estelle stayed silent as they flew over New York City towards Long Island. Percy couldn't see her face, but by her relaxing grip, he could tell she was in awe. Flying did that to most people.

Eventually, they made it to camp. Flying over the borders was no problem for them even with Estelle as a mortal. They set down outside the stables and jumped off of Blackjack.

Estelle's eyes were still as wide as before as campers milled about. Percy laughed and ruffled her hair.

"Let's go find a place to talk. Then I'll give you a tour," Percy said. All Estelle could do was nod.

Percy began to lead Estelle to a spot near the lake. It was secluded behind a set of trees. It was Annabeth and his secret spot when they needed to be alone, but he knew she wouldn't mind sharing it. He tried not to blush thinking of one of their last rendezvous at the lake when their daughter was conceived.

Percy didn't make it very far before he was confronted by an angry Piper. Piper spent a few weeks out of her summer at camp. She claimed it was to tone up her fighting skills every year, but Percy knew the nostalgia camp carried. Piper was visiting for the next few weeks now.

Percy's mind drifted to Amaya. Her birthday was at the beginning of June. Annabeth and he would be able to celebrate with her before she went to camp every summer. Or maybe eventually she'd want to spend her birthday at camp with her friends.

"Percy," Piper crossed her arms. "I," she frowned. "Is that your sister?"

Piper and Estelle had met a few times. Estelle had been a flower girl in Percy and Annabeth's wedding and Piper a bridesmaid. A few times Percy and Annabeth babysat, and Piper stopped over. But it had been a while since they'd seen each other.

"Estelle, remember Piper?" Percy asked. All Estelle could do was nod while staring at the dagger strapped to Piper's waist.

Piper lowered her voice. "And you told her about all this?" she gestured around.

"I'm about to, yeah," Percy said.

Piper dropped her arms. "Okay, fine. But have you heard from Annabeth?"

Percy stiffened. "Why would I hear from Annabeth?"

Piper gritted her teeth. "I know your divorce was finalized. You two must've had some lawyers or something do it all. Did you see her?"

Percy shook his head. "All I had to do was sign some papers."

"She hasn't been answering my calls," Piper said. "I'm worried."

Percy rubbed his forehead. Of course she wouldn't be answering Piper's calls. She had a newborn baby girl to attend to all alone.

"Talk to Grover or Thalia. They might've heard from her," Percy said.

"I thought Grover was on your side with all this," Piper responded.

"There are no sides," Percy grunted. "He can be friends with both of us. Is that all?" Percy tapped his foot.

Piper nodded and glanced at Estelle. "Good luck." And off she went.

Silently, Estelle followed Percy to the small clearing by the lake. They sat down on two rocks low to the ground.

Estelle swallowed. "Percy, what is this place? Piper had a knife. Kids all around are carrying swords and spears. I-" Percy grabbed her hand.

"Remember the stories I told you when you were little?" Percy asked. Estelle nodded. "They are all true. I'm a half-blood. My father is Poseidon, the god of the sea."

Then he went on explaining it all. The gods and the monsters. The two prophecies he helped save the world with. He showed her his pen that turned into a sword.

"And now," Percy ended. "Poseidon got into a fight with an old creature, Echidna. She put a bounty on all descendants of Poseidon. Monsters attack me normally, but more now. I can hardly leave camp without getting attacked."

"That's why you left?" Estelle asked quietly. "You were always there, and then you were just gone." She had tears in her eyes.

Percy nodded. "I'd been getting attacked often. Then Annabeth was attacked because of me. Really bad. She almost died," Percy swallowed remembering how her heart had stopped. "We moved to camp until we could find another solution to be more protected."

"And Annabeth's mom is Athena, the goddess of wisdom?" Estelle asked.

"Yes."

"From the stories, aren't Athena and Poseidon enemies?" Estelle asked.

"They are," Percy thought of how much his mother-in-law used to hate him. He hadn't known she stopped until recently.

"Do you have any questions about this?" Percy added.
"You said mom could see through the mist, like I can? How do you know?" Estelle questioned.

Percy nodded. "She can. I'm sure she'll tell you about it if you ask. I actually didn't realize you could see through the mist; it was Annabeth. We were babysitting you one time; you must've been two or three when we were home for the summer. We took you on a walk around central park and got you ice cream. Then all of a sudden you started crying and pointed to an old woman who turned out to be a monster. I had no idea. Annabeth figured it out. Since then, we've tried to protect you from it as much as we could. It's scary to see monsters."

"Does she know that you're telling me all this now?" Estelle asked.

Percy shook his head. It would have to be something he'd talk to her tonight about. That is, if she wasn't already asleep from exhaustion already. He'd promised her a daily call. He hoped he wouldn't break that promise on the first day.

"We'd always talked about sitting you down when you turned 12. That's normally when demigods find out who they are. Annabeth was younger but that's how old I was."

"I'm almost 13," Estelle commented.

Percy ran his hand over her hair. "I know. With this bounty business," and his baby, "things have gotten away from me. I'm sorry."

"I'm glad you're telling me now. It explains so much." Estelle squeezed her eyes. "Another thing. Do you have any other siblings?"

Percy nodded. "The big three gods don't have many kids, not as much as others. But I do have one. A brother. His name is Adrian. He's a few months younger than you."

"Do you love him more than me?" Estelle asked.

Percy's heart sank. "'Stelle, honey, why would you think that?"

Estelle shrugged, sniffing up tears. "You don't call anymore. You have this whole life here that I never knew about. I'm only your half-sister. He's your half-brother, but from your dad who is a god. I can't compare to that."

Percy pulled her into a hug. "You're my sister. No one could ever replace you. I love you, 'Stelle. I'm sorry I hid this from you. I was just trying to keep you safe."

They both were. The talks they'd had about Estelle were good practice for their daughter now. Not exactly the same, but Percy had wanted to protect his sister as long as he could from his world. Annabeth had talked with him and agreed. She had been the one to come up with the plan of telling Estelle when she was twelve and had protected her since. Now because of their stupid fake divorce, Percy had to tell his sister on his own.

Estelle pulled away and frowned. "Another thing. You've almost died before?" It was a statement in the form of a question. Percy nodded. "No wonder mom is always worried about you. I thought," Estelle paused. "I thought she cared about you more. Liked you more."

Percy's heart fell. "'Stelle, you didn't really think that did you?" She didn't reply. Percy ran his hand over his face. "Gods, I," he shook his head. "Mom is worried I'll die. The first prophecy predicted it, but it turned out to be about another demigod. And then I was kidnapped for 8 months and lost my memories."

Estelle's eyes widened. "You were kidnapped?"

Percy nodded. He'd left out the scarier parts of his life when he informed Estelle of the demigod world. But knowing Estelle was worried about Sally liking Percy better, he had to tell her of the more worrisome parts.

"It was right after Annabeth and I started dating. The goddess Hera took me, wiped my memories, and eventually lead me to the Roman camp. Then I had to go on another quest which led Annabeth and I to the darkest part of the monster underworld." He shuddered thinking of Tartarus. "I was a mess after. Mom is always worried that the next monster attack, I won't win."

Estelle stayed silent. "How have you stayed alive all these years?"

"Annabeth," Percy answered without hesitation. As soon as he said it, he regretted it. He was supposed to be the cheating husband, not this.

"She's saved your life and you repay her by cheating on her?" Estelle's voice was harsh.

Percy swallowed. He knew Estelle was upset, but he never knew how upset she was. He had taken an important person from his sister.

"I'm sorry," Percy shut his eyes, hating his sister's stare.

"I don't understand what happened," Percy looked at his sister.

"We didn't either," Percy said. He quickly avoided the topic by standing up. "Here, let me give you a tour of camp."

Estelle followed Percy out into the main area of camp. He didn't get far into the tour when Grover walked over. Estelle stopped dead in her tracks. Grover was the friend of Percy's she knew the most. He'd frequently make trips into the city to see them.

"You're half goat!" Estelle exclaimed.

Grover let out a low laugh. "Yeah. It looks like Percy told you about the demigod world?"

Estelle nodded.

"Do you think you can bring her back to the city tomorrow?" Percy asked. "I would, but I don't want to risk being out of camp again so soon."

Grover nodded. "Of course. But Percy, you think we could talk first?"

Percy shifted on his feet. "I'm giving Estelle a tour of camp."

"Someone else can give her a tour," Grover glanced away. He eyed Adrian walking out of the Poseidon cabin. "Adrian!" he called out.

Adrian paused and made his way over to their group. Percy could tell he was favoring his uninjured leg. It had been a while since Leo had made an update to Adrian's mechanical leg. As much as Leo hated Percy right now, Percy would have to talk to Leo about an adjustment. Adrian hardly spoke up about his leg embarrassed.

"What's up?" Adrian asked.

"Adrian, this is my sister Estelle. Estelle, this is my brother Adrian," Percy introduced.

Estelle gave a small wave. "Hi."

"Adrian, I need to talk to Percy. Could you give his sister a tour of camp?" Grover asked.

Adrian's eyes widened, but he quickly nodded. It wasn't often that responsibility was passed from Percy to Adrian.

Percy nudged his sister. "Go ahead. I'll catch up later."

Estelle hesitated for a moment, before heading off with Adrian. Percy turned back to Grover.

"What's wrong?" Percy asked, following Grover.

Grover frowned. "Why would you think something is wrong?"

"Grover," Percy chastised.

"Well, there's just the thing about your divorce being finalized going around camp," Grover began. "And I just wanted to check-in." Grover glanced around. "It had to be hard leaving Amaya."

Percy's heart ached. "I'm trying not to think about it that much. Annabeth and her," Percy shook his head. "It's too much."

"Well, in a few months, if you ever need baby time, feel free to come over," Grover grinned.

"You think Juniper will let me hold the baby? She hates me," Percy said.

Grover rolled his eyes. "She'll get over it. Everyone will."

Percy tried not to think of it, but he was jealous of his friend. Grover would be able to get to be with his baby every day. He didn't live thousands of miles away from his wife and baby. Grover would be able to check-in on Percy now, but soon that would be limited.

"Yeah, thanks G-man," Percy tried to sound upbeat although his heart was breaking.

Just then, he saw Leo out of the corner of his eye. Percy figured now wasn't any better than later to talk to him. Leo might hate him, but they'd have to talk eventually. Percy pulled away from Grover and headed over.

"Leo," Percy jogged up to him.

Leo's body stiffened. "Percy, I don't really want to talk to you. I'm on her side."

Percy sighed. He did it out of instinct, but he placed his hand on Leo's shoulder. Leo jerked and threw Percy's hand off. Percy backed up, hands up.

"Sorry, man, I," Leo cut him off.

"What part of 'I don't want to talk to you' do you not understand?" Leo asked. Percy saw fire at the ends of his fingers.

"It's not about me. It's about Adrian," Percy began. Annabeth and he watched out for his brother. He wouldn't stop now. "I just saw him. He's favoring his leg. You know he won't ask you, so I need to. Can you check it out? Recalibrate it or adjust it or something? He needs it changed."

Leo's body softened. His fire died down. "Yeah, of course. I'll take a look."

"Okay, thanks. That's all." Percy hurried off before Leo could say anything else.

Percy went back to his little house and began to pick up. With it just being him, the place had gotten pretty messy in the past few months. Since Estelle would be staying there tonight, he had to make it at least presentable.

Percy went back after Estelle's toured had finished. He ate dinner with her and took her to the campfire that night where everyone at least pretended to be pleasant towards Percy. Eventually, they made their way back to his little house.

"I have the couch set up for you," Percy said. "I have to run to the bathroom, but then we can watch a movie. Is that okay?"

Estelle nodded. "Sure."

Percy noticed his mistake too late. He was washing his hands when his phone began to ring. But it wasn't with him. He had left it out on the kitchen counter. Out in the living room with Estelle. Percy bounded out of the bathroom, but Estelle had already picked up the phone.

"Annabeth, what," Estelle paused. It was clear Annabeth had video chatted him. Estelle held the phone out in front of her.

"Stellie, where's your brother? Are you at camp?" Annabeth asked.

"Yes, he told me about the demigod world today," Estelle glanced up at her brother. "But why are you calling him? And is that a baby?"

"I," Annabeth sighed. "Percy?"

Percy snatched the phone out of Estelle's hand. On the screen, Annabeth sat in the nursery rocking chair looking gorgeous. She had no makeup on, and her hair was let down. In her free arm, she cradled a sleeping Amaya.

"What do you want me to do?" Percy asked. She was the strategist among them.

Annabeth sighed. "You have to tell her. But Percy, you have to be more careful. The more people who know," Percy cut her off.

"I know. I'm sorry. It's just, I hated to leave you. I quickly visited my mom and decided to bring Estelle to camp. I," Percy stared at his baby girl on the screen. "I needed a distraction. My heart aches."

"Love," Annabeth adjusted so Percy could see Amaya more clearly. "I understand. But if she knows, she has to keep it a secret. Your mom can't know yet. That's too much of a risk."

"I know," Percy commented.

"Okay," Annabeth sighed.

Percy grabbed Estelle's stunned hand and led her over to the couch. They sat by each other so they both showed up in the video call.

"Stellie, met your niece, Amaya Grace Jackson," Annabeth announced. The little baby wiggled on the screen.

Estelle gasped, tears coming to her eyes. She kept switching her gaze between the screen and Percy.

"Niece? You, you have a baby?" Estelle asked.

"Our daughter," Percy smiled.

"But you cheated on her! You divorced each other while Annabeth was pregnant?" Estelle questioned.

"Gods, no, Estelle," Percy shook his head. "You know that bounty I was telling you about?" Estelle nodded. "Annabeth almost died because of it. Monsters would come after Amaya if they knew of her existence. We had to pretend to get divorced to keep her a secret."

Estelle looked at Annabeth for confirmation. "Percy would never hurt me. He's the loyalist person you'll ever meet. So much so that he left us to protect us."

Estelle hit her brother. "I knew it! When mom told me you cheated on Annabeth, I couldn't believe it. It made me not believe in love anymore. But now," she shook her head. "You have a baby!"

Percy and Annabeth laughed. "And I feel like a semi-pro already from helping out when you were a baby," Annabeth commented. Then she grew serious. "But sweetheart, no one else can know. It's Amaya's life on the line."

"Not even mom?" Estelle asked.

Percy shook his head. "Especially not mom."

"Does anyone else know?" she asked.

"Grover and Thalia, but that's it," Percy said.

"They came into the cabin after Percy and I had a fake explosive fight. I'm pretty sure Thalia would have hurt Percy if we hadn't said anything," Annabeth said before Amaya began to squeal. Annabeth began to rock. "Oh, sweet baby girl. Shh. I think you're hungry," Annabeth looked up at the camera. "I have to go. But 'Stellie, call me, okay? So, we can talk."

Estelle nodded. "Thanks, 'Beth. I'm glad you and my brother are still together. And with a baby."

Annabeth smiled at the baby girl in her arms. "I am too."

"We'll talk tomorrow?" Percy asked and Annabeth nodded.

"Next time, you'll have to call me," Annabeth said.

"Yeah. Oh, speak of. Piper was hounding me. You need to at least text her you're okay. I know your busy, but," Percy said.

"I know. I had time today, but I couldn't take my eyes off of her," Annabeth smiled but frowned at the girl's cries grew. "Shh, it's okay Amaya."

"I'll let you go. I love you," Percy said. "And I love you, my sweet Amaya."

"We love you too," Annabeth said before she hung up.

Percy set the phone down and ran his hands over his face. Estelle sat with her mouth open.

"You have a baby," Estelle said.

"Yep," Percy replied.

"With Annabeth," Estelle added. "Who you still love."
"Very much so," Percy said.

"How old is she?"

Percy shut his eyes before opening the picture he had taken two days before at the hospital of Amaya and Annabeth.

"Two days old," Percy said.

"Oh, Percy," Estelle wrapped her arms around her brother squeezing him in the tightest hug ever. "You're such a good big brother. You are going to be a great dad."

"Thanks, 'Stelle," Percy blinked back the tears in his eyes. He pressed a kiss to the top of his sister's head. "Ready for a movie?"
