Chapter 47 Win-x Together!

Faragonda was giving lessons to everyone as they pay attention. "Welcome to Applied Magical Convergence class! The purpose of this subject is to enable you to improve the effectiveness of your spells. It is a very difficult topic and it will require a lot of work."
"Miss, what is magical convergence?" Bloom said.
"It is the ability to combine the magic powers of two or more fairies into ultra-powerful spells." Faragonda said.
"Ooh!" Illya was amazed.
"I know your excited Illya but be a little patient." Faragonda said. "First of all, superior spell casting skills are absolutely essential. You must also come to understand your own magic better than ever before."
"And why's that?" Bloom said.
"It's easy enough to make a mistake by yourself. Combined magic is more complex. No room for error." Faragonda said.
"It's like it takes on a life of its own?" Flora said.
"In a way, that's true, yes." Faragonda said.
"Miss!" Stella calls her out.
"Hmm?" Faragonda looks at her.
"Let me get this straight. You're saying that all of us could combine powers?" Stella said and Faragonda nodded. "Alright, yes! A super Winx spell!"
The original five smiled while Layla looks down, Illya saw it and grabs her hands. "Let's do one together."
Layla smiles at her since she was being nice.
Later
Reiji was waiting for the girls and saw them come out as Stella sits on a bench.
"Oh, these exercises are too much work." Stella said.
"Hey hardwork is that." Reiji said.
"Say how's the little guy?" Flora asked.
"Decode, fine but the pixies still chase after him." He said.
Illya was with Mirta who smiles at her. "Did you do well?"
"Yes." Illya nodded.
Musa walks over to Layla who is standing apart from the others while someone was watching her.
"So, Layla, we should meet up later today and finish our homework." Musa said.
"Listen, I hope you don't mind that Faragonda... teamed you up with me." Layla said.
"Why should I?" Musa said.
"Well, it's just that, you know, the others are better and I'm new." Layla said.
"Layla." Reiji goes up to them. "You shouldn't put yourself down like that."
A guy walks up to them. "Um... excuse me?"
"Huh?" They looked at them.
"Hi, Musa. I'm glad I finally get to meet you. My name is Jared. I'm a Specialist in training at Red Fountain. Uh, Saladin sent me here to learn about your simulator. I'll be writing a paper on it." He said.
"Right, and, uh, how do you know who I am?" Musa said.
"Uh... catch you later!" Layla goes off.
"I saw you at the opening ceremony at Red Fountain and I asked about you." Jared said.
"Why?" Musa said.
"Well, I guess you and your friends looked kinda cool." Jared got nervous.
Reiji looks at him with narrowed eyes.
"Why don't you come with me for a ride? We can talk a bit. You can trust me." He offered.
"I- I don't know." Musa said.
"The thing is, I need to interview someone who's been through the simulator." Jared said.
"Well, alright." She said.
Reiji got stunned as Musa goes with him.
"What the heck." He got mad.
Reiji storms foward making the other girls worried.
"Oh no." They said.
"Hey Reiji, where are you going?" Stella asked.
"I'm going to kick his butt." He said.
"No wait!" They grabbed on to him and dragged him away.
"Why was Musa with that other guy?" Illya was confused.
"Uh... It's complicated." Mirta said.
Later
Musa goes back to the rooms and the girls were there.
"So had fun." Stella said.
"Stella, I was just helping him out." Musa said.
"Well your little fun made Reiji jealous." Stella frowns.
"What?" Musa said.
"Yeah, he didn't like it that you left with another guy that we barely even know." Flora said.
"Oh... I didn't mean to hurt him." Musa said.
"Well you better not go back on the promise we did." Stella said.
Musa frowns at her. "Are you suggesting I would cheat on Reiji, he's the only boy I care about."
"Hey i'm looking out for Reiji." Stella crosses her arms.
Reiji was at his room looking outside a window. "I know Musa would never go against me, but it just doesn't feel right with the guy looking at her like that."
Next day
At Faragondas class she was watching them before she saw Flora and Tecna working on a box.
"And what have you got here?" She asked.
"Well, that hand is living wood." Flora said.
"And we're trying to interface it with my operating system." Tecna said.
"The leaves do have a language of their own. Is it working?" Faragonda said.
"Well..." Tecna looks before the box catches on fire making them back away. "Not really."
"Nature and computers are too different to be compatible." Flora said.
Faragonda walks to where Musa is sending a spell through a plasma rope. All it does, though, is make loud noises.
"I mean, I know it wasn't exactly a symphony, but I think, uh, the lid moved this time." Musa said.
Faragonda walks away to Bloom and Stella who are looking dejected. There's nothing attached to their box.
"Ah, invisibly magic, perhaps?" Faragonda said.
"Really, we don't even know where to start!" Stella said.
"Fire and light are similar in more ways that one." Bloom said.
"Before you can converge your magic, you have to understand it fully." Faragonda said.
"What do you mean?" Bloom said.
"Find the true essence of your power. In your case, Bloom, it's not just fire." Faragonda said.
"It isn't?" Bloom was confused.
"It is actually the Flame of Life. There's much more to it than you know." Faragonda said.
"That's why I have healing powers. It's part of the Flame of Life." Bloom said.
"What about me?" Stella said.
"Light is part of your expression of your power of inner vision, sight, clarity." Faragonda said.
"Uh, what?" Stella got confused.
"Your power bursts forth to energize and illuminate so others can understand." Faragonda explained. "Reiji helped you girls how to sue your powers more creative in combat but theres so much more you can do."
Later at the simulation room
The winx and Illya were there and Faragonda said: "Tomorrow we'll have a convergence test, here in the simulator."
"Test? Tomorrow?" Stella said.
"You really think we're ready for it?" Flora said.
"You should start practicing. If you need help, you can always come to me. But the key lies in each of you." Faragonda then leaves.
"Hey, Musa. Look who's here. You think he came especially to see you?" Stella points at the control room that has Jared.
"Stella, he's here to learn about the simulator. Faragonda gave him access." Musa frowns.
"Guys, let's not start arguing. We need harmony." Bloom said.
"Right. For the simulator test." Flora said.
"And the five of us will cast one big mega spell all together!" Stella said but that made Layla sad as she runs off.
"The five of us? What about Layla? You hurt her feelings." Musa said.
"I didn't mean it." Stella said and Musa goes after her.
Layla was outside and sitting next to a tree.
"Layla." She saw Reiji looking at her.
"Reiji." She said.
"Did something happened?" He asked.
"Layla." They saw Musa come foward.
"It's okay, Musa. I'm okay." She said.
"You know, I come out here too sometimes. When I need to be alone." Musa sits next to her.
"Really?" Layla said.
They nodded.
"Let me guess, Stella said something stupid?" Reiji said making the two chuckle.
"Got that right." Musa said.
"It's okay Layla, she has a habit of saying things without thinking it first." Reiji said.
"Yeah, we all like you. So, what do you like to do with your best friend?" Musa asked.
"I really like dancing, it's my passion." Layla said.
"Really?" Reiji said.
Illya came. "I want to dance too!"
That made Layla chuckle. "Okay."
Reiji smiles but he has a bad feeling that something might happen tomorrow.
Next day at the simulation room.
"Now, Layla, don't worry when the walkway disappears from under your feet, you'll remain suspended." Palladium told the winx.
"Right, I promise I won't panic." Layla said.
Reiji looks at Jared and he looks strange today.
They left th e girls as they went to the control room to watch with Faragonda, Illya sneaks away.
"Alright, girls, pay attention. You'll find yourselves in a quiet village on a bright summer day. You will have to use magical convergence to solve a series of puzzles. Everyone ready?" She said.
"We're ready." They said.
"Let's begin." Faragonda said.
The simulation started but they were in a dark forest.
"What?" Reiji looks foward. "What's going on?"
"I don't know, something altered the code." Palladium said.
"Look." Layla said.
Layla points to something in the distance, they look and see that a little bit away the trees and sky are upside down.
"Oh, my. If the sky is the forest, what are we walking on?" Bloom said.
They realise they are actually hanging in mid-air. Trees shoot up from the ground all around them and they fall to the ground. They jump out of the way of the trees shooting up everywhere.
"We gotta get them out." Reiji said.
Palladium tries a command on the computer. "No can do. Their environment is burnt into hard memory. We can't delete anything and we can't shut it down. However, if we can't delete, we can add something. Girls, I've added the magical data of an exit program, but I don't know what form it will take. So look around for anything that doesn't fit in.
"You mean like something normal?" Stella said.
A monster goes to attack Musa making her gasp. "Like that?"
"A wolf in the woods is normal. So, that's the exit?" Stella said.
It charges at them and Reiji said: "Stella duck!"
Layla tackles her down as it runs off.
"Our first convergence." Stella said.
Something pink flies through the air, catching Tecna's attention. "Look!"
"Professor, is that the exit program?" Bloom said.
"Yes, now you must come into contact with it." Palladium said.
"Come on, let's surround it." Bloom said as they went around it.
Reiji hears laughing and they saw Darcy appear. "Darcy!"
He looks at Jared as he smirks. "You son a..." He punches the guy down.
"Reiji!" Faragonda looks at him.
"This guy was under her control!" Reiji said.
"Who else would have done this." Musa said.
Darcy disappears and the monster appears in her place, it jumps up and eats the exit code.
"Oh no, he swallowed it!" Layla said.
The monster then grows while transforming.
"Come on, girls. Magic Winx!" Bloom said.
The girls transformed and they attacked it with they're magic but no effect.
"No good." Reiji said.
"The monster is completely immune to magic. You've got to find another way to beat it." Palladium said.
The girls fly away and Faragonda said: "I'll try to break the spell Jared is in."
"We need a plan." Reiji thinks. "If I was there it would have been so easy."
The girls were hidding and Bloom said: "That thing is immune to direct magic so we'll have to fight physical strength with physical strength."
"Using convergence magic? We've never done this before." Flora said.
"In theory it's possible if we join our most fundamental powers." Tecna said.
Musa saw the monster coming. "It's found us!"
"Layla, You're the foundation." Bloom said surprising her.
The monster knocks the pillar but they went away, Layla then uses her magic to make a humanoid woman.
"Layla, it has to be bigger." Bloom said.
She makes it bigger but the monster hits Layla away.
"Layla!" Stella said.
The humanoid starts to fall.
"Uh oh, it needs some sort of skeletal support. Bearing Branches." Flora puts vines on it to make a support.
The monster then knocks it down.
" It needs a brain. Central Processor! Creature, hurry, stand up!" She puts a brain on it making it stand up.
"Stella, it can't see anything!" Bloom said.
"Sun Vision!" Stella gives it eyes.
"It can't fight without a will of it's own." Palladium said.
"Bloom your turn!" Reiji said.
"Flame of Life!" Bloom uses her powers making it come to life.
The humanoid fights against the creature hitting it back.
Illya came surprising them. "Illya."
"I was here too!" She said. "My turn, sharp threads!" She sends a big string at the humanoid's right arm letting it grab the monster tying it up.
"Good job." Bloom said making Illya smile before Bloom looks at the humanoid. "Listen, you've gotta get the light the monster swallowed."
"Girls, defeating the monster's not enough. Your creature has to say to open the exit." Palladium said.
"Power of Word!" Musa gives it a mouth.
The humanoid then punches the monster through the gut catching the orb before saying the phrases.
"They did it!" Reiji said.
"Impressive work, I'm very proud of you girls." Faragonda said.
Later outside they were seeing Jared who was on his bike.
"I feel pretty dumb for all the trouble I've caused you, I'm sorry." Jared said.
"It wasn't your fault." Musa said.
"You think we could see each other again?" Jared said.
"Well... I got a boyfriend." She said surprising him.
"Really?"Jared got surprised. "Well I was thinking..."
They looked at Reiji who was shocked to see what he was thinking.
"I'm going to kill you!" Reiji said.
Jared shakes his head.
"I'm going-" Jared rides off as Reiji gets his own bike chasing after him.
The girls chuckled seeing that and Musa said: "That's my guy."
Note: Heres the take on that episode with Illya being there to help them at the end since she was in that room too when she sneaked out, Reiji got jealous of Jared trying to hit on Musa so he chased him at the end.
