A/N CHAPTER 1! Hope you enjoy it.

You'll recognize the opening scene from the teaser I posted. However I did change a few lines so I would suggest rereading this version anyway.

"Look at all the people" Drusilla said walking slowly into the room. "Are they nice people?" She asked with almost childlike curiosity.

"We get on." Spike said with a smile. He eyed the doorway Drusilla had just come from. "Where's Eliza?"

Drusilla didn't answer her eyes locked on The Anointed One. "This one has power. I could feel it from the outside."

"Yeah, he's the big noise around these parts. Anointed and all that."

"Oh please." Spike smirked as another vampire entered the room. She looked like a 13-year-old girl with long black hair and blue eyes. Her outfit was a black jacket, with a white dress underneath. She had a smirk on her face that was similar to the one Spike had first sported when he entered the room. The girl walked past Drusilla and Spike. "Little boy's about as dangerous as I was when I was a fledge."

The other vampire's save for Spike and Dru bristled at her words.

"How dare you!" One of the Vampire's yelled at her. "Impudent child."

"Power he may have." The girl said. "But if he cannot wield it, he is useless."

"Little Liza speaks out of turn." Drusilla said. "Ashes, Ashes, we all fall down."

"Quite right Dru." Spike said. "Now, now, Sweet Bit. Don't you think your being a bit harsh?"

Eliza turned back to Dru and Spike. "No more than you." she said with an air of nonchalance.

Spike looked mockingly hurt. "I can be nice when I want too."

"You just rarely want too." Eliza said with a grin.

Spike's eyes narrowed. "Oi! You are asking for it, little missy."

"Asking for what?" Eliza asked with wide eyes that Spike didn't buy for a moment..

Spike grinned and beckoned her to come back to him. "Why don't you come and find out."

Instead of doing as she was told she stepped even further away the smile never once leaving her face. "I don't think I will." Spike smirked and moved away from Dru as he prepared to have to chase her down.

"Enough." The Annointed one Said. "You said you've killed two Slayers before?"

"Yeah." Spike said straightening while still keeping an eye on Eliza. "I can kill your girl for you. But you keep your flunkies from hurting me and mine."

"What of her?" The Anointed one said pointing to Eliza. "She insulted me."

Spike vamped out and grinned. "I promise you won't have to put up with her for much longer."

Eliza's eyes widened before she ran out of the room. Spike turned and chased after her, "be back with you soon Love." He called as he chased Eliza out of the room.

Spike lay on the bed.

"Little Eliza screams so pretty." Drusilla said.

"That was laughter Love." Spike said. "Are you going to eat?" He said motioning toward the teen girl he had tied up and gagged only a few feet away.

"I'm not hungry. I miss Prague." Drusilla said.

"You nearly died in Prague." Spike said leading her back to bed. "Idiot mob, this is the place for us. The Hellmouth will restore you, put color in your cheeks, metaphorically speaking, and in a few weeks' time..."

"The stars will align." Drusilla said as she lay down on the bed.

"And then, God this town will burn."

Drusilla giggled. "Pretty fire!"

Spike rolled over and lay next to her.

"They're preparing." Drusilla as she listened to the chanting going on below.

"St. Vigeous is coming up. Should be a party."

"You should go with them and cleanse." Drusilla said.

"Dru!" Spike cried. "No."

"The boy doesn't trust you. Nor does he trust Liza."

"Good." Spike said. "He should be wary of me. Will keep him away from the ones I love for a spell."

"They follow him." Drusilla reminded him, then she sat up staring at her hair. "Sometimes I think my hair will fall out and I'll be bald."

"Never happen." Spike said. "Fine, I'll go get chanty with the boys." He said as he stood up "But you have to do something for me." He walked over to the adolescent girl tied up a few feet away untied her and dragged her over to Dru. "Eat something."

Eliza skipped around the town, now that Spike was home, she could look around the town for a few hours before dawn came.

Spike would have brought her back something for her to eat if she had asked, but she'd always preferred to hunt her own food.

It was one in the morning, which limited her food choices a little, but only if one didn't know where to look.

She avoided a human passing demon, and gave what had to have been an Ano-Movic demon a small little wave.

She saw a dumbass kid a year or two younger than her physical body, was walking around town by himself. For a minute she stopped and contemplated going up and talking to him, but then decided against it. A kid this stupid wasn't going to last long anyway.

She found a security guard taking a smoke break outside a parking lot. She wrinkled her nose at the idea of him being her next meal. Smoker's blood had never appealed to her (though other vampires had found the experience relaxing.)

And Woodstock had turned her off the idea of drinking anyone under the influence of any kind of drugs.

She passed by the security guard while holding her breath.

Just as she was contemplating heading over to the Hospital and taking blood from there, she came across the scent of something good. She followed the scent to a nearbye parking lot by an apartment complex and went in, to find a young woman fidling with her purse by a blue Honda. The young woman had long black hair tied back with a white scrunchy and looked to be a foot taller than Eliza was, she wore a white dress with a black jacket on top of it. She looked pretty, and tall, and something inside Eliza lurched when she saw this older woman.

Eliza stared at the woman for a moment or two longer, before she walked toward the woman her face morphing into its vampire form as she did so.

"I'm home." Eliza said as she entered the factory just as the sun's rays were starting to peak over the horizon. Her hair now tied back with a white scrunchy.

"In here!" She heard Spike call for her.

Eliza walked into the room that Spike and Drusilla had claimed for themselves. She entered to the sight of Drusilla sleeping in Spike's arms. Eliza smiled softly.

She walked over to Spike and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"Never asked." Eliza said. "How was the reconnaissance?"

The moment she asked she knew that this Slayer would be interesting. "She's a decent fighter." Spike said his body thrumming with excitement. "Reminds me a bit of Nikki."

Eliza raised an eyebrow. That was high praise, of all the slayers Spike had fought, Nikki had been his favourite. Unlike other slayers who he hadn't deemed worth his time, or Xing Rong whose fight had lasted an evening. Nikki Wood had lasted two days, and she had fought as hard and as desperately as she could until Spike finally snapped her neck in a Subway car.

Until Spike had had her neck in his hands Nikki had never given up.

Spike often said that Slayers had a death wish, and that could have been true for most Slayers, but Nikki had never seemed desperate to die. Quite the opposite in fact, she seemed desperate to get home to her loved ones.

"Nikki almost staked you." She said instead. "Are you sure you'll be able kill this one?" She wondered if this Slayer had family like Nikki had. If her family would come to her aid when necessary.

Like Robin had.

Idly she wondered if the Slayer had someone in her care who was as young as Robin had been.

Spike looked at her annoyed. "I've killed two Slayers in my time. Another Slayer will be child's play."

Eliza pursed her lips and looked down at Dru in his arms. She knew Spike and his desire to keep her and Dru safe would be fueling his actions.

"When will you be killing her?" She asked.

"Saturday, best chance to kill her innit? What with every vampire going on a rampage to kill everything in sight, by the time I get to her she'll be easy pickings."

Eliza wasn't fooled. Patience had never been one of Spike's strengths.

Determination? Yes. Loyalty? Yes. Patience? No.

She wouldn't be surprised if he engaged a fight before the weekend came. Especially since every moment the Slayer was alive risked her finding their hideout and killing them in their sleep.

She nodded and stood up. "I'm going to head off to bed now." She said yawning.

"Morning," Spike said.

"Morning," she said before giving him a kiss on the cheek and leaving the room.

Eliza should have made a bet with someone that Spike wouldn't be able to wait. At the very least it would have meant bragging rights. Even if she couldn't expect any of the vampires here to pay it.

"Maybe I should come." Eliza said. "I can be of help."

"No, I want you here with Dru. Make sure nothing dangerous gets close."

It made sense, Eliza's skill set had always been geared toward avoid and evade, that didn't mean she had to like Spike going out with vampires they barely knew.

She walked toward Drusilla and sat beside her. "Sorry mum" She muttered.

"Little Liza wishes for bigger pastures. Wants to be more than she is." Drusilla said. "Wants to befriend Little Miss Muffet, and free her from the spider, but she can't. Not now. It's not yet time."

Liza and Spike shared a look, but she smiled at Dru. It was always hard to determine whether this was a vision she was talking about or her inane ramblings. Or both.

"I'm happy where I am." She insisted.

"Silly Liza." Dru said patting her on the head. Some tiny little part left over from when she was a human living in an abandoned warehouse in London was mollified at the show of affection. Even if a bigger part hated that she was. "There will be plenty of carnage for you to carry out soon enough." Drusilla told her.

She stepped away from Drusilla's hand, she heard Drusilla's whine but it didn't stop Eliza from giving Spike a hug anyway. "Give her something good for me alright?"

Spike hugged her back. "Will do." He turned to his crowed. "Alright everyone let's move out!"

"Was taking them out against the Slayer now a good idea?" The Anointed one asked her.

"He knows what he's doing, if you want the Night of to go off without the Slayer after you, let him do what needs to be done."

"How long have you been traveling with Spike?"

"Since I was turned in 1890." Eliza said.

"Has he ever lost a fight before?"

"He's still alive, isn't he?" Eliza said. Then she turned around and flounced away to sit by Drusilla. "Do you want me to do you up?" She asked.

Drusilla smiled "You're such a good girl, wanting to make mummy happy." Eliza smiled gently.

Gently she led Drusilla away to her room and sat her on the bed, and gently and softly began brushing her hair.

Eliza had to admit she was a little upset to see the Annointed one burn to death, maybe after a few weeks they could have been friends.

Though to be honest the superior attitude that he had would likely have resulted in Eliza staking the Annointed one himself. So, it was no real loss.

Besides Eliza had know that the kid was going to die soon anyway. He'd threatened her life when they first met. Spike was never going to let that stand.

Though it was funny watching Spike pretending to play nice before revealing his true plan and stuffing the young boy into a cage and lifting him up into the sun.

She skipped to Spike barely giving the smoking cage a second glance. "Sorry about the Slayer." She said.

"It's alright midge." He said. "I'll get her next time." He held Eliza's hand and Drusilla's and lead them away. "Why don't we see what's on the Telly, hmm?"

I don't know how I'll be doing the rest of season 2? It will depend on how much I feel would be beneficial to Eliza's character. Some episodes may have more time spent on them then others, depending on what I need Eliza to do, say, or feel those episodes. I may do multiple episodes in a single chapter while other episodes get a full chapter.

Hopefully I won't spend alot of time on season 2 but we'll see.

Season 4 the chapters will likely be a lot longer. Given the things I hope to accomplish that season onward.
