We apologize for the delay and would like to explain the reason behind it. Initially, in this chapter, Naruto was supposed to meet his demise. However, thanks to the generosity of Midnight Lost and GraeFoxx, who granted us permission to incorporate elements from their captivating stories, "The Last Prayer" and "Darkness Falls," we decided to alter the course of events. In order to seamlessly blend these two narratives with our own, we conducted thorough research on both stories. By the way, we highly recommend reading their exceptional works as they are truly remarkable.
Naruto was determined not to tarnish her reputation or let his classmates underestimate his abilities. To achieve this, he opted to employ the Uchiha Intercept Style in the battle. By doing so, he effortlessly thwarted every incoming attack and even anticipated Sasuke's moves, who seemed visibly perturbed by Naruto's tactics.
He swiftly shifted between the Uzumaki and Hyuuga styles when he noticed her on the verge of tears, overwhelmed by frustration. Although he couldn't see the chakra network without activating his bloodline, preventing him from targeting vital points, he cleverly utilized the techniques of these styles to retaliate against his opponents. Fortunately, nobody suspected that he was employing henge to conceal more than just his distinctive whisker marks.
In a matter of minutes, Sasuke found himself expelled from the sparring area, deemed the loser. However, Mizuki had to intervene to halt the battle, as Sasuke relentlessly rose to his feet, determined to conquer his opponent. Astonishingly, Sasuke was forcefully thrown out of the sparring circle not once, not twice, but a staggering five times. Meanwhile, Naruto effortlessly breezed through the fight without even breaking a sweat.
"Take a seat, you two! It seems like Sasuke wasn't giving it his all during his match, so let's not waste any more time. Sit back and observe your classmates as they spar - who knows, you might just pick up a thing or two!"
After concluding their intense sparring session, Sasuke inexplicably chose to distance himself from Naruto, sitting as far away as possible. Sakura and Ino, with their piercing glares, couldn't help but praise Sasuke for showing mercy towards Naruto. Although hurt by Sakura's remarks, Naruto wisely refrained from engaging in an argument with the two girls. Instead, he silently observed as their teacher conveyed a message without uttering a single word.
Naruto found himself sandwiched between Neji and Shikamaru, contemplating the futility of attempting to wield the Hyuuga style without the coveted Hyuuga Clan's Dojutsu. Without this essential element, harnessing the true potential of the Hyuuga Style seemed like an impossible feat. Naruto couldn't help but wonder why he had even attempted it in the first place, knowing that it would inevitably spark gossip and unnecessary trouble.
Naruto couldn't care less about gossip. "You know, sticking to just one style like the Hyuuga's is usually limited to family members. But I believe in expanding my combat skills by learning different styles. My training isn't rigid because my mother always said that learning is a lifelong journey. It would be interesting to spar with you, Neji, and hear your thoughts on my Hyuuga Style. Unfortunately, our teacher gets to decide our sparring partners, doesn't he?"
Neji found himself inexplicably smiling at this peculiar turn of events, as if he had finally encountered a kindred spirit in Naruto. It was as if, for the first time, he had met someone who shared his beliefs and understood his loneliness. Meanwhile, Sasuke seethed with anger, shooting venomous glances at Naruto, while Sakura and Ino attempted to console her by assuring her that Naruto would eventually face the consequences of his actions.
After the class ended, he made his way back home, skillfully evading the persistent individuals who had been tailing him since he left the Academy. As he approached the entrance to the cave, a chilling realization struck him - his shadow clones had been mercilessly attacked from behind by unknown assailants who swiftly fled the scene, leaving no trace behind. "Using the shadow clones was a clever move, Naruto, but perhaps next time you should consider confronting them instead of enduring such a cowardly assault. Anyway, why don't you create a shadow clone now so that we can prepare dinner together? You can share your experiences from your first day at school while we enjoy our meal."
Naruto yearned to convey to her that he understood the events of his day, but engaging in a disagreement with his mother seemed inevitable. He feared that she could see right through him, yet he also recognized that his mother respected his perspective. Thus, he obediently followed her instructions. Transforming swiftly into her human guise, the Shadow Clone ascended the stairs and commenced preparing dinner. Naruto attempted to lend a hand, but Kurama adamantly refused, urging him to focus on his homework if he desired to be productive.
Naruto wasted no time in completing his homework as soon as dinner was prepared. He neatly set it aside, knowing that his mother would review it after their meal. His mother, aware of his dedication, was more curious about his first day at school. As they settled down to eat, she gazed at him with a familiar smile, eager to hear all about his experiences.
"Naruto, my dear, tell me all about your first day at school!" Naruto couldn't believe his mother's question. Didn't she already witness it herself? "Mom, can we please have dinner first? I'm not really in the mood to talk about it, if you haven't noticed from my tone." But now his mother was even more curious. What could have upset her beloved son so much? She hadn't noticed anything that could have caused him distress.
I can't just ignore this, my dear boy. Please, enlighten me. What could have possibly stirred up such anger within you? Normally, you're always full of joy and wear a smile on your face. But now, I must admit, I'm quite concerned about you." Naruto gently placed his utensils on the table, pausing for a moment before responding, "Alright, let me explain. Today's classes were all about the foundation of Konoha, the intricate theories behind Nin and Ninjutsu, and the historical origins of ninja arts. It was basically a recap of everything you taught me when I was just a three-year-old, but presented in a way that was about ten thousand times less exciting."
I found myself tapping my own foot vigorously to ward off the drowsiness that threatened to consume me. I dutifully responded to the mundane, predictable questions, but to make matters worse, I was stuck in the middle of the classroom. To my left, there was a student who seemed more captivated by the formations of clouds than the lesson at hand. On my right, sat a girl with a dog perched atop her head, adding an element of eccentricity to the scene. And just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, there was a girl, clearly annoyed, who pretended to be a boy and was treated like the esteemed "prince" of our class, Konoha.
After taking a satisfying sip of tea, he pressed on, "During my practical lessons, it felt as though everyone anticipated my failure in rising from the ground. Despite their doubts, I persevered in restraining myself from unleashing my full throwing and hitting prowess on my targets. And when I faced off against the girl who disguised herself as a boy, the judgments continued. People either labeled me as a showoff, completely misinterpreting my intentions, or dismissed my success as a mere stroke of luck. On my way home, I cleverly dispatched two shadow clones to divert the attention of the two individuals tailing me since we left school. Little did they know, both of them ended up with a painful stab in the back."
After expressing his thoughts, he eagerly dug into his meal, a feast comprised of foraged and hunted delicacies from the treacherous Forest of Death. "Son, I understand why you're feeling upset. But remember, these individuals are mere mortals, prone to their own flaws and limitations. They simply lack the knowledge to act differently. As I've always advised you, when dealing with humans, take their words with a pinch of salt. And if all else fails, don't let it consume you."
"We may not be regarded as equals to humans, but we must tolerate their presence. I must admit, I felt a sense of pride when you offered that advice to those two individuals. And yes, my dear son, I am well aware of how your day unfolded. As your mother, I hold your opinion in high regard, just as you value mine, because I love you. Now, after we finish our dinner, let's discuss your explanation regarding your lack of a Doujutsu. We both know the truth, don't we? Your eyes possess a power that could surpass the Sharingan, Rinnegan, Byakugan, and even the Tenseigan. That girl named Sasuke probably didn't even realize that you had closed half of her chakra pathways."
"Son, spill the beans. I can sense the chemistry in the air, and it seems like you're head over heels for this girl. You've been treating her with such tenderness." Naruto couldn't fathom his mother bringing up such a topic during dinner. He didn't go easy on her; he merely matched her strength and skills. There was no need to flaunt his full potential in front of those who once wished him harm.
"Mom, every single girl in this village despises me for merely existing. Do you really believe that I stand a chance at finding love in this wretched place? I can't even escape this village if I wanted to. You know firsthand the cruelty they inflicted upon you in the past, and they view us both as nothing more than tools. If we were to attempt leaving, they would stop at nothing to capture us. Mom, I never properly thanked you for teaching me everything I witnessed today. I'm sorry, but you are a million times superior as a teacher compared to those in the Academy!"
With a chuckle, she playfully remarked that Naruto shouldn't be too tough on Iruka. According to her, teaching prowess is a product of wisdom gained through years of experience, and in her eyes, Iruka was just starting out. "Alright, you've completed your homework. Show me how well you've done. Remember, my dear, everything you do reflects on me as your mother. If you turn out to be a troublemaker or a class clown, it would mean that I failed as a mother in raising you."
Surprisingly, Naruto's homework contained only two errors. However, fate intervened and the Academy textbook itself was to blame for his incorrect answers. Firstly, it falsely claimed that the Fourth Hokage, Naruto's father, had never been married nor had any children. Secondly, it wrongly stated that Jashinism, a religion, involved worshipping an evil deity who demanded the daily torture and sacrifice of innocent souls by its followers. Despite the textbook's affirmation of Naruto's mistakes, his mother was determined not to let him learn such misleading information.
Without revealing her secret, she chooses not to disclose the existence of his younger sister. "Well done, my son. You only made two mistakes. Firstly, the Fourth Hokage did not have any children. However, a long time ago, I was sealed inside a young woman named Kushina Uzumaki. Unlike my previous hosts, Kushina treated me like family rather than a mere source of power. We shared a deep bond, so much so that when she got married, it felt as if both of us were marrying her husband."
She made a valiant effort to suppress the crimson hue creeping up her cheeks as the memory flooded her mind. "Minato Namikaze, her husband, was the epitome of passion. Every intimate moment they shared was an overwhelming experience, unlike anything I had ever felt before," she confessed. Naruto's face turned a deep shade of red, his embarrassment evident. "And when they conceived their child, I was there every step of the way throughout her nine-month journey. So, my dear little kit, it is true that Minato Namikaze, the Fourth Hokage, is your father, and both of us are your parents," she revealed, her voice filled with affection.
"Regarding Jashin's perceived evil nature, it's important to consider that she may appear as such to those who are cruel and corrupt. After all, as the Goddess of bloodshed and carnage, she takes pleasure in tormenting and consuming the souls of the wicked. The more wicked they are, the more she relishes in their suffering. So, in a twisted way, true Jashinists do indeed sacrifice and torment individuals. However, it's crucial to note that these individuals are only those who are irredeemably wicked and corrupt. As for labeling all Jashinists as evil, I wouldn't necessarily agree. For instance, your father was a Jashinist, and your mother was the last champion of Jashin. This suggests that not all Jashinists are inherently evil."
"Thanks to Jashin, I gained the ability to enter your body and create a seal that safeguards both you and me from anyone attempting to expel me. Once, I had a lover who happened to be a thief. This foolish person took pleasure in trespassing and stealing precious items as a reward for his successful break-ins. I made it clear that I would have no association with him if he persisted in such unethical behavior."
"It's quite amusing how my ex-boyfriend, Youko, underestimated my determination. To his dismay, I was dead serious about ending our relationship, and I did just that. For countless centuries, he relentlessly attempted to win me back, resorting to chaos and calamity, even impersonating me. He believed that tarnishing my reputation would leave me with no option but to return to him. Little did he know, I remained resolute and unyielding."
Naruto labeled these tactics as the foolish actions of a dimwit, resulting in a smile from his mother. "On the night when it was believed that I was assaulting the village, I was actually in a cave on the outskirts of Konoha. Your mother, Kushina, was experiencing excruciating contractions as you were about to enter this world. The fox that launched the attack was none other than Youko, masquerading as me."
"Due to the immense stress and the circumstances surrounding your birth, Naruto, you came into this world with a frail and feeble body. In a fierce battle against Youko and his ally, your mother and father, Kushina and Minato, fought valiantly alongside me. Unfortunately, they lost their lives in the midst of the conflict, or at least that's what I believe. The last thing I remember is encountering Jashin, who appeared before me and revealed that in order for you, my son, to survive, I had to make a sacrifice. Without hesitation, I relinquished my physical form, offering myself to be infused within you, so that my chakra could aid in strengthening your body. Jashin placed a seal upon you, ensuring that no one could separate us or manipulate you against your will."
"As the son of her last champion, she promised to personally visit you after your graduation from the academy. She wants to explain your responsibilities as her next champion. Believe me, Naruto, she isn't as wicked as people portray her to be. Once you become her champion, I will finally regain my physical form, and you won't have to bear the burden of providing me with a shadow clone as my vessel. There are so many things I've longed to teach you, but couldn't. Once I have my body back, I'll pass on the knowledge of demons to you. Being my son, you possess the blood of a Quarter-demon, but most of your abilities are sealed until the time is right."
"It's not just a sentimental declaration, my dear son. The truth is, being my son entails a significant responsibility. Youko, driven by your unique scent, will eventually track you down and challenge you. My only wish is that by then, you will have become her champion. That's why your training was tougher than anyone else's, and why I dedicated myself to teaching you. As a mother, I would never want my offspring to endure any suffering, and I am no exception to that."
Naruto absorbed every word, and without hesitation, he embraced her tightly. Kurama had been anxious about his reaction, fearing rejection or hurtful words. But this unexpected display of affection brought tears of happiness streaming down her face. It was undeniable that her guidance and training had made Naruto stronger than his peers. However, once he achieved the rank of Genin and was offered the opportunity to become Jashin's champion, the seal would be lifted, revealing his true form and unleashing his extraordinary abilities.
Kurama was well aware that her son would eventually find a partner, as it was bound to happen. However, she couldn't help but find it amusing that numerous girls who secretly admired her son had attempted to track him down to his home. Unfortunately for them, his residence was incredibly secure, and their lack of skills prevented them from discovering its whereabouts.
The following day in class proved to be the perfect opportunity for a refreshing nap. Let's be honest, Kurama's mom was a far superior teacher compared to Iruka. When she taught history, it wasn't just a matter of talking about it; she brought history to life. Kurama could witness the events unfold before his eyes, feel the excitement of battles, and even hear the powerful speeches of the Hokage and Generals as if he were truly present. How was Kurama able to do this? Well, unlike Iruka, his mom had actually experienced those moments firsthand and truly understood their significance.
Using a unique projection technique, she enabled individuals to project their memories onto any flat surface. It was akin to witnessing the past come alive before their eyes. He immersed himself in the negotiations between the Senju Clan and Uchiha Clan, witnessing the birth of Konoha. He observed the fierce battles of the first and second shinobi wars, and even witnessed the formation of the ninja division. The speeches of the previous Hokage resonated with him, as if he were physically present, listening attentively to their inspiring words.
Iruka's hidden talent, often overlooked by others, lies in his impeccable aim. Whether it's a piece of chalk or any other object, he possesses the ability to hit a student square between the eyes from a distance of twenty feet. "Naruto, do you understand the reason behind my request for you to stay after class today?"
Naruto glanced at him before casually settling down on a nearby chair. "So, let me guess. You either need my assistance in grading those mind-numbing tests, or you're fuming because my boredom with your history lecture led me to doze off and snore in the midst of the class, once again."
Iruka's frustration was evident in his tone and words. "You know what, Naruto? I don't need your assistance in grading. I already have Mizuki helping me with that. But what really bothers me is why you find my class so boring. I've been teaching it for years, and no one has ever fallen asleep. So, tell me, why is it suddenly dull to you? Your words are really hurting my feelings."
Naruto casually mentioned that he had already mastered all the historical content, thanks to his mother's teachings, which were a thousand times more captivating than his own. Naruto simply instructed him to lower the screen he had been using for his photo slideshow. Iruka couldn't help but wonder what Naruto was up to. "Alright, today we delved into the peace treaty between Sunagakure and Konohagakure, which marked the end of the last epic shinobi war."
"My mother was the one who taught me about this incredible event." It all started when he began performing a complex thirteen hand-sign technique. And then, he named it the Memory Projection Jutsu. As he activated the jutsu, the memories came to life, appearing on the surface as if the very air had transformed. The voices and sounds from that monumental event, where Suna and Konoha signed the peace and alliance, echoed through the air. Iruka couldn't help but be in awe of what he was witnessing.
As he stood there, he observed the entire spectacle unfold before his eyes. And as the event came to a close, the image faded away. "Now, can you honestly say that a plain lecture is as captivating as what you just witnessed? My mom has every significant event, every battle, all stored in her memory, and I've watched them countless times since I uttered my first word."
Iruka had a sudden realization, comprehending the reason behind his actions. "Teacher, please understand that my intentions are not to disrespect you. I am simply feeling bored and unchallenged. I yearn to actively participate in class, to witness my classmates hanging onto every word. Unfortunately, this cannot be achieved through mere lectures. I have already acquired enough knowledge to pass my final written exam at this very moment, but I must keep it concealed so as not to offend you or come across as boastful."
That's when Iruka burst into laughter, exclaiming, "So you've been hiding a more effective method to teach my class, you mischievous rascal! Don't tell me next that I can speed up my grading by utilizing the clone technique." And just as he uttered those words, I couldn't help but inform him that using the shadow clone technique would indeed expedite his paperwork. It's common knowledge that those who possess the ability to perform the shadow clone technique share memories with their clones. So, why would I even need to mention it to him?
Little did Naruto know, his words had reached the ears of his fellow teachers. Unbeknownst to him, they had been secretly listening, intrigued by his suggestion of utilizing a projection technique to enhance their teaching methods. The concept of using Genjutsu to project memories or illustrate the subject matter had sparked their interest. However, it was Naruto's ingenious idea of employing Shadow Clones to tackle the dreaded paperwork monster that left every single teacher dumbfounded, causing them to slam their heads against their desks in disbelief.
It's quite surprising how a punk could possess knowledge that never even crossed their mind. Every teacher in the school was a Chuunin or higher, making it obvious that they would be well-versed in the shadow clone Jutsu. This concept had such a profound impact that creating just one shadow clone could reduce the time spent on paperwork by half. In fact, many of these teachers were capable of creating at least four shadow clones. After enduring years of poorly written answers in tests and quizzes, it becomes painfully clear that students prioritize speed over accuracy when it comes to completing exams.
Naruto strolled out of the academy, a sense of accomplishment filling his heart. He believed he had fulfilled his good deed for the day, and the thought of going home brought a glimmer of hope to his otherwise ordinary day. Little did he know, there were two unexpected individuals awaiting him outside - an irate lady and a melancholic princess. Naruto couldn't help but wonder, could his day possibly take a turn for the better? These two girls, disguised as boys, seemed rather displeased with his prolonged conversation with his teacher.
"Could you spare a thought for your superiors? We've been patiently waiting for you for the past hour. Since you seem to lack any sense of responsibility, we have important tasks to attend to. How dare you keep us waiting like this?" Well, that was more of a grumble than a complaint, but it definitely came from the previously mentioned irate individual. Naruto couldn't help but wonder if she needed more fiber in her diet.
"Well, well, well! Apologies, but I must confess that I had absolutely no inkling that I would have the pleasure of encountering either yourself, Kiba, or the esteemed princess here. A simple note, informing me of your desire to have a conversation with me after class, would have effortlessly resolved this entire predicament. Now, pray tell, what might the two distinguished heiresses of the noble clan wish to discuss with me?"
Sasuke appeared quite displeased, "Not only do we not want anyone to find out that we communicate with you, but even the most foolish student in our class would mistake the note we sent you for a love letter, you imbecile. Kiba is curious to know how a clanless loser like you manages to defeat every person you spar with in class. Personally, I couldn't care less, but I must admit I was intrigued to hear your shameless fabrications."
Naruto grimaced, clutching his chest dramatically, "Ouch! Those words hurt, especially coming from my own cousin. Little do they know, I am a noble clan member, far more than they realize. It's not my fault they never paid attention in history class. I am a proud member of the Uzumaki Clan, which means I am connected to the Senju Clan, Uchiha Clan, and Hyuuga Clan. These clans are all intertwined as descendants of the sage of the six paths. And yet, here I am, offering a free tutoring session to the very people who just insulted me by calling me an idiot."
Kiba was seething with anger as he confronted Naruto. "Alright, let's just hypothetically assume that what you're saying is true," Kiba began, his voice dripping with frustration. "But here's the thing, Naruto. You're an orphan, without anyone from your clan to guide you. So how on earth do you manage to defeat both of us in every single sparring match we've had so far?" Naruto, completely oblivious to Kiba's fury, couldn't fathom why he was so upset.
"I do have a parent, you know. My incredible mother has been my guiding light, teaching me everything I know. Unfortunately, I can't allow rude individuals like you to come anywhere near my home or meet her. As for our little scuffle, I've been taking it easy on both of you." Naruto swiftly leaped onto the nearby roof, ready to head towards his supposed home, leaving Sasuke and Kiba standing there in utter shock. However, Sasuke quickly reacted and grabbed Naruto before he could make his escape.
