I'M ALIVE!

Notes at the end

The Instant-Nomu serum.

With the dismantling of the Paranormal Liberation Front and Dr. Garaki's research on the Nomu, the world was free from the monsters that once terrorized the innocent. Of course, the Nomu was also one of science's most significant accomplishments by making monsters in a world of superpowers. When Tokyo happened, the bioengineered humans aided the massive number of villains attacking the capital city with enough power to topple an empire.

Of course, Tokyo saw a temporary end of the bioengineered human chaos. The heroes destroyed the Nomu and how they were created, and without the brilliant Dr. Garaki to recover what was lost, the world hoped that the Nomu species was dead and gone.

Unfortunately, it would take a few years before the beasts returned. It was months after the events on Crisis Island when the first Instant-Nomu hit the streets. A small gang of villains, cornered by a pro hero, used a dose of the experimental serum to escape. Instead, the one Nomu created destroyed most of the city and killed innocents and the villain gang before Endeavor and Deku managed to subdue the threat.

Ever since then, improvements have been made to the serum. The Villain Factory, the group responsible for the Instant-Villain and Trigger and other drugs, had received copies of Dr. Garaki's research. After some time, they introduced the Instant-Nomu. The group held the market for a few years before being ultimately destroyed by a coalition of heroes led by the Symbol of Peace. The heroes destroyed the facility, and prominent organization members were arrested. The authorities collected the serum and the research, and once Abigail Winters created an appropriate antidote, the heroes could take the fight directly to the monsters.

Of course, that was years ago. The Chaos King managed to purchase more than enough serum to keep Deku and the other heroes on their toes. With Instant-Nomu serum being distributed worldwide, no hero society was peaceful. It would only take one moment of curiosity to transform a 2-bit villain into a monster with no regard for human life.

Today, Deku watched two ordinary citizens transform into Instant-Nomu against their will. The Chaos King disappeared as soon as they attacked the young hero group, allowing his subordinates to attack. The tesla coil Nomu charged at Deku simultaneously as the two winged Nomu. The Symbol of Peace regained his fighting stance, and once they were close enough, he leaped into the air.

The tesla Nomu stopped in its tracks to follow Deku's movement. Thrusting his hands out, he fired Black Whip at his three targets and pulled them toward him. "DEFEND THE POPULATION!" He called out. He swung them over his head and slammed them into the roof of the building.

Midoriya broke from the fog and rushed into the fight with his classmates. Bakugo fired a concentrated blast at one of the remaining Nomu, knocking it on its back. Ashido and Iida had skated away, moving the remaining civilians away from the fight. Kirishima and Midoriya slammed head-first into the Discorder villains. The two thugs that injected the civilians with the serum were strong enough to hold the heroes back.

They had stone flesh. It wasn't as strong as the Chaos King's Quirk, but they were sturdy. Kirishima slammed a Red Turret into the stomach of one of them while Midoriya kicked the other with his Shoot Style.

While they fought, Yaoyorozu created two bo staffs for herself and Jiro. The two engaged the remaining villains, with one of them morphing his arm into a sharp blade. His attacks met the Everything Hero's defenses while the Hearing Hero used a combination of bojutsu and her earphone jacks to deflect and shock the villains. Her jacks flew quickly to prevent them from guessing her movements.

As Yaoyorozu continued to block her enemy's attacks, she felt each blow grow stronger. The villain was actively trying to break her guard instead of simply going for the kill. One overhead strike broke her guard, sending her bo staff to the ground. The villain reared his blade and thrust, aiming to kill.

The blade was an inch from Yaoyorozu's stomach when a shield formed and deflected the attack. The small tungsten shield dropped to the ground and was replaced with a spring-loaded boxing glove. The villain had no time to dodge the sudden attack before he was sent flying. She snatched her bo staff and rejoined the fight.

While the battle was happening on the streets, Deku was hard at work dealing with the Nomu that joined in the fray. The winged Nomu that appeared were used as stepping stones for the young Symbol of Peace as he ascended into the air. Using Blackwhip, he carried the Tesla Nomu into the sky and threw him away from the building.

Deku smiled as he pressed the points of his fingers together and held them in a narrow formation. "Blackwhip..."

The Tesla Nomu roared before being slammed in a tapered column of black energy. "BLACK OBELISK!"

The monster roared as the Obelisk sent it high, far into the sky. Satisfied with the distance, Deku reared around and slammed a fist into a Winged Nomu, knocking it back to earth with a massive shockwave. It hit the other one before smashing through the building underneath.

Deku stayed floating above the building. The Nomu remained in the air for a solid minute before it fell onto the roof of a nearby building. This isn't good...he has the Instant-Nomu serum in this timeline! If All for One finds out about this and forces the Factory to make more, my future will be changed. I have to destroy these Nomu and save the others!

He pressed his hand against his pocket. Damn...I have a whole packet left. I have no choice but to administer half a dose into each of them.

Sighing heavily, Deku adjusted his body and fired a small Smash behind him, propelling him through the air and toward his opponent. As he closed in on the monster, the Tesla Nomu grabbed an air-conditioning unit from the roof and threw it at the Symbol of Peace. Deku caught it and used Black Whip to carry it to the roof.

Once he arrived, Deku dropped the unit and punched the Tesla Nomu in the stomach. The monster staggered backward and swung its arm, sending Deku through the air. He slammed into the edge of the roof, crushing some of the cement and causing it to fall. The young hero groaned as he sat up, eyeing the monster. "Oh, you bastard..."

The Tesla Nomu smiled underneath its storm clouds. "It seems the boss knew what he was doing by transforming me," it said.

Deku grimaced. " He transformed you? When?"

The Nomu shifted its stance. "Close to a month now. Maybe more? Time doesn't matter when I'm in storage, unfortunately," it said.

"So that means...it won't work on you," Deku mused.

"What won't work?"

Deku eyed the monster with a fire in his eyes. He clenched his fists and powered up. His already muscular body seemed to shift slightly. "I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry for this...I hope you find peace when this is all over," he said.

The Tesla Nomu slowly approached the hero. "Your death will bring me peace!"

Deku smiled. "Like I hadn't heard that before," he said before charging at the monster.

The Tesla Nomu charged and activated its tesla coils. The Nomu went for an overhead strike, slamming its fist into the roof. Deku leaped over the monster and fired Blackwhip from the back. With the dark energy wrapped around the monster, the young Symbol of Peace turned his body in mid-air and used the monster as a hammer against the building.

The Nomu's tesla coils shut off, giving Deku an opening. The young hero charged and grabbed its leg with the black energy dissipating. Deku flew into the air using his momentum and Float and swung the Nomu back toward the fight scene.

Midoriya became concerned when the two villains started to shrug off his attacks. If anything, One for All and his enhanced training with his older self should've been helping him here. Instead, he was tired. He felt like he was holding back, or their Quirks were standing up to the massive stockpile of energy.

Which didn't make sense unless they had regeneration Quirks.

If it was regeneration, breaking that limit required speed more than power. The physical indicator didn't suggest a variation of Reflection, so that was out of the question. Breaking Flect Turn's limit was easy, but breaking a mirror is more manageable than breaking a rock.

Midoriya swung a kick at the giant villains, but their stone-like skin provided a suitable defense. Kirishima continued to use his Unbreakable form, but his form faltered with every unsuccessful blow to the villains.

Exhaustion. That was it. He was exhausted.

He checked the villains. They were all engaged in battle with his classmates. Their Quirks were physical, but everyone else was...

Wait...there was someone else there. A villain hiding in the alleyway with his eyes shut and his right hand extended toward him. Nobody else had noticed him, so hiding was his intention.

I wonder... Midoriya fired an Air Force blast at the wall, taking a chance with nothing to lose. The explosion rocked the man's eyes open as the rubble hit him. He fell to the ground, and Midoriya felt the waves of fatigue lift from his shoulders.

His assumption was correct. The villain was using a Quirk that induced fatigue on him. It was a Quirk similar to one of Overhaul's gang, according to Uraraka.

The effects were immediate. Kirishima stretched his back, and when he readjusted, his eyes were wide. "OH, HELL YEAH!" He bellowed. He powered up his Unbreakable form and fired a straight jab at the stone villain's stomach.

The result was better than expected. The villain keeled over and groaned when the hardened fist slammed into his stomach. His stone skin did nothing to defend him, which brought another question to the young hero's mind: Was it fatigue that made us think his skin was stone or were we underpowered?

Midoriya eyed his villain, who had glanced over at his buddy as he kneeled on the ground. He glanced at Midoriya with wide eyes, and he threw his hands up. "I surrender..."

Midoriya smiled and nodded. "Thank you," he said.

Before he could approach to apprehend him, a crash erupted over his head. Stone rubble fell on top of them, but Midoriya was fast enough to get the villains and Kirishima safely. The other young heroes scattered when the dust cloud appeared.

As the cloud thinned, Midoriya could feel Danger Sense going off. He waved the dust from his face, and once it was clear enough, he saw why. The Tesla Nomu was flat on its back, growling in frustration. Deku was floating above the monster with his arms crossed. "You're fun to punch," the Symbol of Peace said.

The Tesla Nomu jumped to its feet and roared. "Come down here and fight me like a man!" It boomed.

Deku smiled and deactivated Float, dropping to the ground. When he landed, he started cracking his knuckles. "Fine then," he said. "Let's fight!"

The two charged at each other, locking themselves in a clash that sent a shockwave through the city block. The female Nomu swung at Kirishima, knocking him away while focusing on Midoriya. The young inheritor readied himself for an attack, but Bakugo intercepted the Nomu's advance. He T-boned the monster and blasted it with an AP shot.

Deku dove out of the way as the Tesla Nomu charged its field before slamming its fist into the ground. The Symbol of Peace countered by preparing an Air Force Smash with his right hand. Midoriya watched as his sleek, silver gauntlet transformed, creating the cone shape that his Air Force Gloves made when he would use it.

The Tesla Nomu found itself at the mercy of Deku's assault, firing multiple air shots quickly. The monster staggered backward but was quick to recover and close the distance. The Symbol of Peace backflipped over a car as the Nomu slammed its fist into the engine. The electrical current caused the vehicle to explode, sending Deku onto the roof of the building behind him.

When the smoke cleared, the Tesla Nomu was busy shaking off the debris. It was missing a small amount of its chest, and its head had emerged from the storm, revealing a small head with a brain sticking out of a crown of tesla coils. The left side of its head had been blown off except for the brain and the crown. It staggered as it stumbled toward a power box. Deku had recovered just in time to see the monster grab the box. Its electric field shrank as its chest and head started to regenerate. Once the head had reformed, the Tesla Nomu's electric field had returned to its earlier level.

Deku's eyes widened. Is he using electrical energy to regenerate? I wonder...

The Symbol of Peace leaped off the roof and thrust his arm out. "Blackwhip...Precise Shot!"

A single strand of black energy shot out of Deku's knuckle and pierced through the Nomu's throat, embedding itself into the ground behind the monster. The energy dissipated, and Deku landed on a lamp post. He watched as the Tesla Nomu kept its hand on the power box as it regenerated. Its energy field shrank a little before regrowing.

Deku landed on the ground and smiled. "So...this will be fun," he muttered. He charged at the Nomu with a smile on his face.

Midoriya watched as Kaminari joined the fight with the Symbol of Peace. The Tesla Nomu powered up, creating an electric field. The future Symbol of Peace quickly dodged the surprise maneuver, but the stun gun hero didn't. However, the electric field only jolted the young hero before he staggered away thanks to his Quirk. His hair stood straight up with tiny sparks of electricity running through it.

Deku fired Black Whip, grabbing Kaminari and pulling him to the side. The young hero yelped, but he sighed when he settled on the ground next to the Symbol of Peace. "Ay, man...do me a favor and warn me next time when you're about to do that," he complained.

Deku chuckled. "I wasn't going to leave you there. You seem to be okay, though," he said. "What was his voltage count, though?"

Kaminari rolled his eyes. "I've got no idea, man! He's packing more than me, that's for sure!"

Deku pressed a hand to his chin. "And given your current limit, his output must be exceeding at least three million volts. What's your limit during this period? I remember you surpassing roughly six million volts in the future."

Kaminari's eyes widened. "S-Six million?!"

Deku nodded. "During the last four months, I recall you were improving your charge limit to surpass 2.5 million volts, but my training must've impacted your cap a bit. Being generous here...your limit must be close to three million volts."

Kaminari shrugged. "I haven't measured in a while," he admitted.

"Then you should when we get back, but for now..." Deku leaned to the left, toward Kaminari, as a villain threw a mailbox at him. His muttering started to pick up, glossing over the effects of the previous battle with the Paranormal Liberation Front and his personal need to increase his wattage limit. After another minute of muttering, Deku snapped his fingers. "I got it!"

Midoriya heard his older self exclaim, and when we turned to him, he saw Deku talking to Kaminari. From the look on the Stun Gun Hero's face, it seemed like a plan was being cooked. Deku pressed a hand on Kaminari's shoulder, prompting the young hero to give him a thumbs up.

Deku and Kaminari charged toward the Tesla Nomu. He could hear the command that his future self gave on the way. "Creati, I need five lightning rods! Ingenium, you and my younger self need to evacuate the remaining civilians! Red Riot, keep the villains back!"

"Yes, sir!"

"Pinky, you and Earphone Jack support Red Riot! Chargebolt, you're with me! And DynaMight..."

"DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO!" Bakugo declared as he blasted the female Nomu with a concentrated blast.

Deku smiled. "Do what you do best," he said.

"ONLY BECAUSE I WANNA!"

The Tesla Nomu growled. "What are you planning?" It asked.

"Just a little Toshinori Hero Agency maneuver. You'll see," he said.

Yaoyorozu had beaten back one of the Discorder grunts before unbuttoning the bottom of her shirt. In a flash, five large metal rods appeared from her stomach and settled on the sidewalk. Deku ran up and grabbed three of the rods. "Set up the board..."

As he approached the Tesla Nomu, he threw the rods into the air. The monster followed the rods, expecting the young hero to grab them. What it didn't count on was Deku firing Blackwhip at it. The tendrils of black energy wrapped around the Nomu's torso and arms, binding it. With a mighty swing, Deku threw the monster into an empty part of the street.

From the corner of his eye, Deku could see flashes of blue and green enter and exit the nearby buildings. Jiro and Mina had subdued the remaining Discorder villains and had them bound and surrounded by a pool of acid. The remaining Nomu had disappeared after Bakugo slammed one of the winged monsters into the ground and blew its head off.

With the Tesla Nomu in position, Deku launched himself into the air and grabbed the three rods. With the rods in hand, Deku twisted his body and threw them into the concrete around the monster, arranging them into a triangle.

The Tesla Nomu looked at the rods embedded into the ground and looked at the hero. Deku used Float to stay hovering over the scene. "You missed!" It taunted.

Deku smiled. "Chargebolt: LIGHT 'EM UP!"

The Tesla Nomu turned to see Kaminari thrust his hands out at one of the rods. "Continuous Charge: 2.8 Million Volts!"

The spark connected with the rods, and the trap was set. The current traveled through the three rods, creating a barrier of electricity. As Kaminari held the link, the current started to grow stronger. After a moment, a bright yellow wall of electricity trapped the Nomu.

The beast laughed before it started to charge up. "This will only make me stronger!"

Deku smiled. Instead of responding, he used Blackwhip to grab the remaining rods and bring them to him. With the rods in hand, Deku threw them directly at the monster. The rods crossed themselves as they speared through the Nomu's torso. The monster screamed as the rods sunk into the concrete, trapping it in place.

Everyone watched as the rods connected with the other three. Kaminari's electrical charge merged into the Tesla Nomu's field, and its coils roared to life. "Yessss!"

Yaoyorozu watched the Nomu power up even further than before. "D-Deku! What are you doing?"

"Basic science!" He responded. "Chargebolt: increase voltage amount to 3 million volts. Adjust output to avoid overcharge!"

Kaminari smiled. "We work together in the future?" He wondered.

Deku nodded. "You're the Living Lightning Bolt. You'll do a lot of good in the future. Now strike with God's fury!"

Kaminari's smile sharpened. "You got it! Here are 3 million volts!"

The Stun Gun Hero's electrical charge spiked, creating an even deadlier fence of energy around the Nomu. The monster only laughed as it absorbed more energy. "You are a fool to think you can out shock me! You're only making things worse for yourself!"

Deku smiled. "I have a question for you, buddy! Think of it as my last request," he said.

The Nomu smiled. "Ask away! Amuse me with your petty question!"

"Have you ever heard of a thermal runaway?" Deku asked.

The lightbulb in Yaoyorozu's head lit up. "Of course..."

The monster eyed the Everything Hero. "W-What?"

Deku slowly approached the Nomu. "I'm so sorry about this. If I had gotten to you earlier, I would've saved you," he said.

"What are you babbling about? Saved me? Why would I need saving?"

"Because the transformation is reversible if done before the brain breaks the skull. You must've been transformed for a long time and the serum permanently altered your DNA. I could pump tons of the cure into you, and it wouldn't change a thing..." Deku said.

Uraraka blinked as she heard this. "Find peace in the next life..." Deku said.

The Tesla Nomu's eyes widened. "W-Wait a minute...I-I can't stop!"

The Nomu's protective field expanded enough to touch the rods surrounding it. The electrical current only passed through the rods and returned to the monster. The tesla coils began to smoke as the energy kept coming back. "T-Too much...power! I-I can't s-s-s-s..."

Deku's hand formed a fist. Kaminari stopped feeding energy into the rods, his head smoking from hitting his voltage limit. He shook his head and swatted at his hair. The surrounding heroes only watched as the monster screeched. "I'm...OVERCHARGED!"

The electrical current continued to surge through the Nomu. Its tesla coils burst into flames, causing the monster to scream.

The scream only lasted a minute before the Tesla Nomu was silenced. Its body fell limp, suspended over the ground due to the two rods holding it in place. Without a proper conduit, the electrical field started to lose power. Its body continued to twitch as the fires began to die down.

As the fire started to die down, the young heroes slowly approached the Nomu and Deku. Kaminari stopped charging the rods as the Nomu screamed about its predicament. "D-Did I just...?" He stammered as he stared at the Nomu.

Deku sighed as he approached the Nomu. "Don't worry, Kaminari. While the Nomu was sentient, the man underneath died long ago. The Instant-Nomu serum removes a lot of the subject's humanity when the skull breaks," he said.

The Stun Gun Hero didn't verbally respond to the Symbol of Peace. Instead, he nodded and continued to stare at the dead monster. Deku clenched his fist and turned to the heroes gathering around them. "We still have two more Nomu to account for. Keep your eyes peeled for-"

The ground underneath Deku cracked. The Symbol of Peace barely registered the Danger Sense that went off. A monstrous hand burst through the concrete and grabbed the Symbol. The Male Nomu burst from the ground and threw Deku over the steel rod prison, sending him through the shop's window.

"DEKU!"

Uraraka, Kirishima, and Midoriya rushed into the fray. Bakugo and Iida were with the detained Discorder thugs when the Nomu emerged from the ground. The male Nomu leaped through the window, only to be kicked back out by Deku. The Symbol of Peace shot Blackwhip, trapping the monster. He pulled himself in, but before he could get close enough, the female Nomu emerged from underneath the sidewalk and smacked the Symbol.

Midoriya caught Deku before he could crash head-first into a sedan while Kirishima charged in with Unbreakable active. He slammed into the female Nomu, knocking her off balance. Uraraka grabbed the car that Deku almost crashed into, swung it over her head, and hit it into the monster, sending mechanical shrapnel all over the street.

Deku groaned as he picked himself up. He eyed the two Nomu with wide eyes. "You kids have to be careful! Too many hits could prematurely crack the skulls and render the cure pointless!" He called out.

"WHY DIDN'T YOU MENTION THE CURE EARLIER?!" Bakugo asked as he charged in, intercepting the male Nomu before it could pick itself up.

"Because I'm still in disbelief that the Instant Nomu is in this time..." he muttered before activating his gauntlets. "Disengage the Nomu, DynaMight!"

"DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO, DEKU!" Bakugo retorted.

Deku narrowed his eyes and shot Blackwhip at the explosive young hero. Bakugo didn't have any time to react before his arms were bound to his thighs, and he was pulled away from the male Nomu. The blond hero bounced on the ground before coming to a halt next to Kaminari. "Stay, boy!" Deku commanded.

Bakugo didn't have time to respond before Deku disappeared. The male Nomu roared and charged at the young heroes but was shoulder-checked by Deku. The Nomu soared through the air before Deku intercepted and smashed him into the ground. The Nomu twisted in the air before slamming face-down onto the concrete. The female Nomu crawled from the car wreckage and leaped at the Symbol of Peace.

After his attack, Deku, floating in the air, adjusted his body and fired a twin Delaware Smash, propelling him into the female Nomu. The two bodies crashed in mid-air, causing some onlookers to flinch. While the Nomu's body was genetically stronger than most heroes, Deku was the exception. The power of One for All outweighed twisted science, and Deku won the brief struggle in the air.

Deku slammed the female Nomu into the ground. He raised a fist, but before he could subdue the Nomu, the male Nomu tackled him. Deku slammed into the ground, and the Nomu pinned him with its jaw wide open, exposing its teeth.

Kirishima was about to charge in to help, but Deku beat him to it. The Symbol of Peace flashed Paraly-Stare, causing the Nomu to freeze in fear. The maneuver gave Deku the window he needed to kick the male Nomu away. Instead of resting for a minute, the Symbol of Peace chased after it and slammed its back into the concrete, embedding the spikes into the street.

The female Nomu lunged at him, but the battle was already over. "SUBMIT, FOUL BEAST!" Deku's Paraly-Stare activated.

The Nomu faltered, but a second of recovery was what it needed to continue the charge.

Midoriya watched Deku approach the Nomu with his eyes set on the Nomu. "I. SAID. SUBMIT!"

If you asked any of the heroes about what happened next, especially Yaoyorozu, they would tell you that the blue light coming from Deku's eyes got brighter at his command. The Nomu reeled back and slammed into the ground, skidding to a halt at the Symbol's feet. Its eyes were wide and reflected the blue light coming from Deku.

Once the dust settled, Deku shut his eyes. He reached for his right gauntlet and pressed a button underneath the forearm. A small metal bar popped out with a black cloth under wrap. He wrapped the blindfold around his head with his eyes covered by the metal bar. Once he fastened it, he grabbed the Nomu and dragged it to the male Nomu, who was still frozen from Deku's Quirk.

He kneeled between the Nomu and reached into his pocket. "Yaoyorozu..." He said.

The Everything Hero jumped at her name. "Y-Yes?"

"I need two large blankets right now. Once they're transformed back, they will give you the measurements necessary to make some clothes, okay?" He said in a careful tone.

Yaoyorozu nodded. "Y-Yes, sir."

"Iida, Midoriya, and Bakugo will survey the damage. Take note of the area and begin a report. Uraraka will oversee care for the civilians. Ashido, Kirishima, and Kaminari will go to the police station with the pro heroes. Jiro, come here, please," Deku said.

The group split into their designated teams. Jiro approached Deku as Yaoyorozu created the blankets and gave them to the Symbol of Peace. "Thank you. Now, keep an eye on the Discorders. One of them can cause fatigue to anyone in the immediate area. Make sure he doesn't try anything," he said.

"Yes, sir..."

As she turned to keep an eye on the Discorders, Jiro kneeled beside him. Deku pulled a small egg-shaped container from his pocket and opened it, revealing four syringes. The syringes had caps on them and had the same clear liquid in all of them. "I need you to help me insert two of these into the neck of the male Nomu. Here," he said as he pulled the two syringes from the container and handed them to the Hearing Hero.

Jiro gripped the needles. "A cure?"

Deku nodded. "It's a half-dose since I didn't bring more on this trip. Before the night is done, we need to get back to U.A. so I can gather the remaining dose. For now, this will induce a transformation that'll turn them back to humans. The transformation will be temporary until the full dose makes it permanent," he said.

"O-Okay..."

She was about to uncap the syringes when Deku placed a hand on her shoulder. "I tried to make sure the effects of my Quirk didn't affect you guys, but I must've failed. Take deep breaths and think of a happy memory. Calm your heart," he said.

Jiro glanced at him. "H-How can you do that? First, it was super strength, but now you can fly and shoot whips from your hands. What the hell is going on?"

Deku turned to her. "That's a conversation for another day. We're still on the clock. Deep breaths and happy memories," he reminded her.

Jiro sighed. She uncapped the syringes and lined them up on the Nomu's neck. Deku mirrored her movements, and with a free hand, he raised a number three. "On my count. 3...2...1."

The duo pressed the needles into the Nomu's necks. They pressed down on the ends, injected them with the serum. Once they pulled the syringes out, Jiro handed Deku the two needles while grabbing the blankets and draping them over the two monsters.

The change was immediate. Their bodies started to steam as the same liquid-like transformation occurred, returning their human features. The blankets covered the two, especially the woman. It took a few minutes, but the change eventually returned to their human forms. The woman's eyes were shut as she panted heavily while the man's eyes were wide open. They rapidly scanned the area, taking in as much info as he could.

Jiro's eyes were wide. "I-I can't believe it," she stammered.

Deku smiled as he slowly removed the blindfold. The woman's eyes fluttered open, and her green eyes settled on the Symbol. "W-Wha-"

Deku opened his eyes. Jiro glanced over, expecting to see them still blue.

Thankfully, Deku's eyes returned to normal. "Don't worry; you're safe now. Don't make any sudden movements," he said in a calm voice.

The woman turned to Jiro. "H-Hero?" She asked.

Jiro nodded. "You're safe now," she said. "Rest for a moment."

The woman nodded slowly. Deku backed away and sighed. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone. "Jiro, I need you to call Detective Tsukauchi and ask him to get down here. His number is on my phone. I also need you to call Mr. Aizawa, Principal Nezu, and All Might. They need to come here too. The sooner, the better," he said.

Jiro nodded and grabbed Deku's phone. She walked away to make the calls.

Meanwhile...

The Chaos King gracefully entered the Discorder base of operations with two lackeys behind him. One of them held a metal briefcase in his hand. They shut the door behind him and stood guard against the wall.

The room they entered was relatively more minor than the rest of the base. With the area being abandoned for a few months, the Chaos King found the location perfect for hiding from the heroes. The room had three other people in it: Technophobe and the Governor. They flanked the third person in the room: a tall and bulky man with dark red hair. He wore a beige jacket and combat boots.

The Chaos King smiled as he approached the man. "The great Metal Man of I-Island: Wolfram. How is life on the outside?" He asked.

The man turned around. Wolfram didn't wear the same metal mask that he wore on I-Island. He also wore no face paint. He did, however, have a large scar going up to his left cheek. "You're their boss?" He asked.

The Chaos King smiled. "I'm their king, but sure," he said.

Wolfram eyed the half-giant. "You don't look like much," he said.

"My words and actions speak more than my looks," the Chaos King said. "Of course, you're a notable player in this game as well. You took on All Might and managed to take control of I-Island in one night. You've personally dealt with All for One and possessed incredible power."

Wolfram narrowed his eyes. "Power I've lost isn't power worth discussing. All Might was weaker than what the stories have said. I lost I-Island to a bunch of high-schoolers and an All Might superfan. Why bother me with these empty praises?" He asked.

The Chaos King smiled and snapped his fingers. The lackey with the briefcase approached the Chaos King and presented it. The Discorder boss took the case and opened it, showing Wolfram the contents. The villain's eyes widened as he stared at what was inside. "B-But...how?"

The Chaos King shut the case. "Let's just say that the technology hit the black market in my time. I managed to buy all that I could before the public got wind of it," he said. "I am giving you a chance at revenge. Help me destroy the Symbol of Peace, and all good fortune will be bestowed to you."

Wolfram eyed the Chaos King. "I failed before. Why take the chance with me?"

"Because you are a notorious villain in my time. You are influential, powerful, and you'll accomplish incredible feats that'll shake the Symbol of Peace to his core. I can start your winning streak now, and you can overwhelm him before he can grow in power," the Chaos King said. "Be the bane to the Symbol of Peace."

Wolfram eyed the case. A smile formed as focused on the Chaos King. "Well, don't threaten me with a good time," he said.

The Chaos King smiled.

I'M ALIVE!

I am so sorry for the extra-long hiatus, guys! School and work have kept me too busy even to think. I managed to get a chapter of Into the Fire, and I got a new one-shot out called Raise a Glass, but this chapter had me stumped. I kept trying to get it done, and I almost did, but the whole sequence between the Tesla Nomu's death and here was lost when my Internet cut out as I was trying to save. That was before Christmas too, so when I lost all of that progress...I will admit to feeling dejected for a bit.

The story is almost done. I hope to finish before summer, but we'll see with school and work. For one thing, I was promoted to a manager position, and I got a lot more work than I expected when I applied. I'm on a school break right now, so I hope to get more writing done before my schedule blows up again.

I recently got an AO3 account so that I can follow some stories on there. It's still Newage416, but I'm debating on whether or not to cross-post. I do have some great ideas for future stories, though.

I hope to have another chapter out soon for this and for Into the Fire. Be sure to leave some feedback with a review. It helps me out.

Stay safe out there!
