Chapter 8: It Come from the Fog
It was now the middle of the night in the city of Vale, and everyone was sound asleep in their warm safe homes.
But then a thick fog appeared in the city, and a large figure was seen walking in the fog.
The figure was as big as a house and had long hair around its head, and despite how large its feet were the figure's footsteps were silent like a hunter looking for its prey.
The figure then stopped in front of a house and its eyes were set on a boy who was sleeping peacefully. The large figure then ready a fist and throws it at the house.
In another room in the boy's house, his parents woke up as they felt their entire house shaking and heard their son screaming.
"Jack!" His mother shouted as she quickly got off the bed and ran out of the room and headed to her son's room.
The mother soon entered her son's room and saw there was a large hole in the wall and saw her son being held by the figure's large hand.
"Mom! Help me!" Jack calls out to his mother.
"Hang on!" She said as she grabbed onto the large hand but the figure easily knocked her back and brought her son into the mist. "Jack!"
The mother rushed forward to save her son but in that moment the fog disappeared and the large figure along with her son was nowhere to be seen.
The mother was left confused about what just happened.
It was now morning, at the house where the boy known as Jack was kidnapped, several police cars were around it along with a crime line after the parents had called the police.
The parents were speaking with some detectives as they told them what had happened last night.
"I told you, it just came out of this fog and that's when it took my son. After that, it just vanished along with the fog." She told them.
The detectives were a little skeptical about that.
"And you're sure it wasn't a Grimm?" The detective asked.
"Yes. It had a hand that looked almost human." She told them.
"Are you sure? I meant no offense ma'am, but we find this story a little far-fetched at best." He told her.
"But I'm telling you the truth!" She told them. "You know what, I'm wasting my time here. I'll just hire a Huntsman to find my son."
"I'm afraid we can't let you do that ma'am. Not until you give us the full story." The detective said.
"But I just did!" The mother exclaimed.
Behind the crime scene, Team HYPN were with the crowd of people in the area as they closely listened to the mother's story about how her son was kidnapped.
"You guys thinking what I'm thinking?" Hitoshi asked his team and they nodded in agreement.
"That a Makamou is involved. Yep, I mean it is obvious." Nagisa said.
"Then you should know we need to go after it." Hitoshi told him.
"Yeah, that is our job." Nagisa said.
"I suppose we should be thankful that today's a weekend." Yuki said before they moved out to find the boy along with the Makamou that kidnapped him.

(The song begins as Hitoshi was at the place his parents died.)
(They see you as small and helpless. They see you as just a child. Surprise when they find out that a warrior will soon run wild.) (Hitoshi then looks at his Henshin Onsa Onkaku, and then looks and sees Hibiki standing in front of him, looking at each other. As the wind blows past them, the title appears.)
(Prepare for your greatest moments. Prepare for your finest hour. The dream that you've always dreamed is suddenly about to flower.) (Yuki and Page, were sitting in front of their mother in their home. Nagisa was sitting on a bench playing some music with his Ongekigen.)
(We are lightning. Straying from the thunder. Miracles of ancient wonder.) (We see an army of Grimm but are soon replaced with an army of Makamou. We soon see Ramon in front of a legion of goons. Then we saw Kabuki, and standing beside him were Dark Decade and Shadow Moon. We soon see the members of Team HYPN in a circle, and the four of them are in charge.)
(This will be the day we've waited for. This will be the day we open up the door.) (While fighting, we soon see the three of them in their Rider forms fighting Makamous.)
(I don't wanna hear your absolution. Hope you're ready for a revolution.) (Then we see the members of Team JNPR looking at the school. We soon see Team RWBY practicing their weapons.)
(Welcome to a world of new solutions. Welcome to a world of bloody evolution.) (We see Ozpin, drinking his coffee, with Goodwitch next to him on an airship.)
(In time-your heart will open minds. A story will be told…) (We see each member behind their respective symbols. Then we move in front of Beacon and see every character one by one with the last one being Hitoshi.)
(Because victory is in a simple soul!) (We soon see Hibiki practicing with his Ongekibou Rekka before stopping when the title appears.)
Team HYPN were heading to a parking lot where Hitoshi had kept his motorcycle.
They soon arrived and Hitoshi was standing in front of a locked garage that was protected by a numbered keypad. He entered the password to open the garage, where his motorcycle was waiting for him.
Hitoshi grabs onto the handlebars and pushes his back out of the garage, that's when he and Nagisa saw that Yuki had brought out her own motorcycle from a different locked garage. It was a HONDA Shadow that was colored purely black and was also big enough for two people. This is the Tatsumaki.
Hitoshi whistles to see that bike of hers.
"Nice bike there, Yuki." Hitoshi said.
"Thank you. But truth be told, it's more like a family heirloom. Mother gave this to me when I inherited the name Ibuki." Yuki said as she rubs her hand on the Tatsumaki.
Nagisa can't help but feel jealous about that.
"Lucky…My Dad won't even trust me with the keys to his car." Nagisa said.
"You mean he still drives around in that jalopy of his?" Hitoshi asked.
"Hey! Don't you dare dis the Raijin like that! One day it will be mine!" Nagisa told him and Hitoshi chuckled as he raised his hands.
"I was only kidding. Jeez." Hitoshi told him, and Nagisa huffed as he turned away from him.
"Sure didn't sound like it." Nagisa said.
"Can we stay focused please. We have a Makamou to find and a boy that needs saving." Yuki reminded her friends.
"Right, right." Hitoshi said before he brought out two helmets and handed one to Nagisa and he accepted it.
Then Team HYPN were riding on the two bikes with Hitoshi driving his Gaika with Nagisa riding behind him while Yuki was driving the Tatsumaki with her sister riding behind her.
They left the city grounds and headed into the forest.
Unknown to Team HYPN, is that the hooded man was spying on them as he was hiding behind a tree.
"Good. They're taking the bite." He said before he followed them on foot.
After arriving in a distant part of the forest, Team HYPN had sent out their Disk Animals and set up camp which consisted of sleeping bags along with a campfire as the sun began to set.
Hitoshi was checking out his Rekka. Nagaisa was cooking a hotdog on a stick over the campfire. Page was sharpening the blades of her weapons while her sister Yuki was on her Scroll to go through a private data file made exclusively by the Oni that holds the data of different Makamous.
"Okay…I think I found our Makamou." Yuki said, getting her team's attention.
"Really?" Page asked, and Yuki nodded before she enlarged her Scroll and brought out a projection of an old painting of the Makamou.
The Makamou is as big as a giant with long hair.
"It's known as the Yamabiko. It is said that this Makamous is able to walk in fog, using it to abduct its prey." Yuki told them.
"Hence the reason why there was fog last night." Hitoshi said in understanding.
"Then we're gonna have to be careful if that fog appears again." Nagisa said before he took a bite of his fully cooked hotdog.
"Agreed." Yuki said in agreement.
"For now, we should get some rest. Who wants to take the first watch?" Hitoshi asked.
After playing a game with rock-paper-scissors of who will keep the first night watch, Hitoshi was the one who received the role while his friends were sleeping in their sleeping bags.
Hitoshi yawns before he leans on his hand.
"Man…I keep forgetting that I suck with rock-paper-scissors. But I shouldn't forget that I'm the leader here." Hitoshi mutters.
(Meanwhile)
The hooded man who had been following Team HYPN was in the same forest. He was standing on a spot that was close to a river, that's when a mist had appeared around him, and a large figure soon emerged from the river as it looked down at the man who in turn looked up at it.
"The Oni is here. Do your part and I will honor our agreement." He told the giant figure, and it nodded before it began to move, and the fog soon disappeared.
The hooded man then smiles.
"Honestly, it's almost amazing what a little torture and pain can do to someone." The hooded man said before he set out as well.
(Next day)
It was now early in the morning. Team HYPN were walking in through the trees to look for the Makamou. As they were walking, Nagisa yawned before he rubbed his eyes.
"Man…Do we really need to wake up so early?" Nagisa asked before he yawned again.
"Well, you know the old saying, the early bird gets the worm." Yuki told him.
"Yeah…accept the worm we're getting is a Makamou." Nagisa said.
"I suppose that's true." Yuki said.
That's when they heard animal noises and saw the Disk Animals as they move towards Team HYPN before they stopped in front of them, Hitoshi knelt down to them.
"Did you guys find something?" Hitoshi asked, and they answered by nodding. Hitoshi then stood up and turned to his friends. "Alright, let's get moving."
"Right!" They nodded.
But before they could follow the Disk Animals, a fog slowly started to appear around Team HYPN.
"A fog…?" Page said.
"Don't tell me…" Hitoshi said.
That's when Page saw movement in the trees as it hid among the fog.
"Over there!" Page pointed and her friends looked but saw nothing.
"What? I don't see anything." Nagisa said.
"But it was right there." Page said before she saw movement once again at another spot. "It's over there!"
They looked but saw nothing due to the fog, that's when Yuki saw movement in another spot.
"I see it! It's over there!" Yuki said as she pointed at it and her friends looked but saw nothing.
Nagisa then spotted movement as well.
"I see it too! There!" Nagisa points at it.
Hitoshi then saw movement in another spot.
"Now it's over there!" Hitoshi said.
Team HYPN then begins to see the shadows moving all around them. They soon formed a circle as they were now on guard for any sneak attacks for any Makamou hidden in the fog.
Hitoshi, Nagisa, and Yuki brought out their respective Henshin devices and used them to transform into their Oni forms, they soon drew out their weapons and Yuki did the same.
They were on guard against the moving shadows hidden among the fog, before one of them jumped at Team HYPN to attack. Hibiki saw it coming and soon used an attack against it.
"Kihōjutsu: Onibi!" Hibiki breathes out his purple flame at the incoming creature, burning it to death as it falls to the ground.
Team HYPN saw that it was a Makamou, that's when the other Makamous came out of hiding and they were Monkey Makamous.
"Great…More monkeys." Todoroki said.
The Monkey Makamous then charges at Team HYPN to attack.
Hibiki dodges two Makamous' attacks and counters by smashing his Rekka on their chests. Hibiki then saw three incoming Makamous charging at him.
"Kiboujutsu Rekkaken!" Hibiki said as he channeled his flames to one of his Rekka creating a flaming sword and Hibiki used to slash three of the charging Makamous destroying them before they exploded.
Hibiki spun his Rekka before he rested on his shoulder as he chuckled.
Todoroki parries two Makamous' attacks with his Retsurai and slashes through them at the same time.
"Kitoujutsu Raigekiken!" Todoroki said as he channeled lightning around his fist and used to punch one Monkey Makamou on the chest sending it flying before it crashed into another group of Makamou before they exploded.
Ibuki was firing nice needles at any incoming Monkey Makamous on the head as they fell to the ground. As she stops firing, Ibuki dodges one Makamou's attack by backflipping before she lands on her feet and fires a lightning bullet at that Makamou, shocking it before it explodes.
Page slashes on some Makamous cutting them down before she changes the form of her swords into chainswords and uses them to grab hold of several Makamous and with a pull with both of her swords she cuts them into pieces.
Team HYPN continues to battle against the incoming Monkey Makamous before the Disk Animals calls out to them.
"Dang it…forgot we don't have time to worry about the small fry!" Todoroki said before he slashes on one Makamou and kicks on its chest.
"Hitoshi, you follow the Disk Animals, we'll take care of things here!" Ibuki told him before she kicked one Makamou to the ground.
"Got it!" Hibiki nodded before he followed the Disk Animals to where they found the Yamabiko as Ibuki, Todoroki, and Page continued to battle against the Monkey Makamous.
As Hibiki was running he soon noticed another group of Monkey Makamous were chasing him.
"Oh come on! I really don't have time to deal with you." Hibiki said in annoyance.
(Meanwhile)
As Team HYPN were fighting against the Monkey Makamou, the hooded man who was spying on them used that chance to enter the Makamous' den which was inside of a cave.
As he was walking inside the cave, the hooded man stopped as he spotted the boy the Makamous had kidnapped, who was in a wooden cage and was unconscious.
He then ignores the boy as he continues to walk forward.
He then stops in front of a piece of cloth hanging on the ceiling, he then removes it and sees it was hiding over hundreds of Dust crystals along with some weapons most likely belonging to Huntsman killed by the Makamou.
The hooded man smirks as he ignores the weapons and picks one of the crystals to look closely at it.
"Perfect. This is exactly what I needed." He said.
Ibuki was firing fire bullets at the charging Monkey Makamous as her twin sister, Page, fired alongside her using her twin guns as they destroyed the Makamous together.
Todoroki then slashes on two of them, destroying them.
Ibuki, Todoroki, and Page looked around and saw that the fog had cleared up and they weren't anymore Monkey Makamous left in the area.
"Alright, that seems like the last of them." Todoroki said as he rested his Ongekigen Retsurai on his shoulder.
"Agreed. Now we need to find Hitoshi." Ibuki said and the others nodded in agreement before they moved out to find their leader.
Hibiki was fighting against the Monkey Makamous on a cliffside with a river beside it.
Hibiki slams his Rekka on each of the Makamous' chests, destroying some of them.
Hibiki then saw the remaining Monkey Makamous charging at him and Hibiki threw fireballs at them with his Rekka, destroying them as they exploded.
Hibiki looked to his surroundings to see if there were any more Monkey Makamous, and saw that there were none left before he noticed that the fog had cleared up.
"Okay. That's it for the small fry, now where's the big monkey?" Hibiki said as he looked around for it.
Almost responding to his answer, a giant figure emerges from the river and stands behind Hibiki as its massive shadow overlaps his own shadow along with the ground in front of the Oni.
After noticing that, Hibiki then turned and looked up at the giant Makamou that was now standing before him.
The Makamou had the features of a parrot and an ape with long brown hair that covered its face with fur on its shoulder and on its legs that almost resembled worn out pants.
This is the Makamou, Yamabiko Okutama.
"Oh…there you are." Hibiki mutters.
Yamabiko swings his massive arm at Hibiki which he dodges by rolling on the ground.
As Hibiki stood up, he fired fireballs at the Yamabiko but the giant Makamou blocked them with its arms before it threw a punch at Hibiki with its large fist.
Hibiki stops Yamabiko's giant fist by catching it with his hands, and that's when he saw the cuts on his body which surprised him.
"What the…?" Hibiki mutters to see those cuts on the Makamou's body.
With Hibiki distracted, Yamabiko used that chance to swing his other hand at him, sending Hibiki rolling on the ground.
Hibiki groaned before he rolled onto his back and saw Yamabiko's giant hand heading down straight towards with the intent to crush him. Hibiki stops it by using both of his hands, but the giant Makamou soon clenches his other hand and throws a punch at Hibiki to finish him…
But in that moment, Todoroki came to Hibiki's aid as he jumps at Yamabiko's fist and uses his Retsurai to slash on its wrist severing its fist.
Yamabiko roared in pain before someone fired a shockwave at it, sending it to the ground and freeing Hibiki from its other hand, and it was Ibuki who used her Reppu in Ongeki Mode.
Todoroki lands next to Hibiki before he offers his hand to him and Hibiki accepts it as Todoroki helps him stand back up.
"You okay man?" Todoroki asked.
"Yeah…Thanks for the save." Hibiki said before they saw that the Yamabiko had stood back up and stomped its giant foot at the two Onis.
Both Hibiki and Todoroki dodges it by rolling on the ground.
The Yamabiko then was about to punch at Todoroki, but Page stops it by using her chainswords to grab hold of the giant Makamou's wrist as she pulls on it.
But then the Yamabiko uses its strength to lift up Page straight into the air and swing her towards it to attack her.
"Page, no!" Ibuki shouted in worry as her sister screamed in fear.
"No, you don't!" Todoroki said as he threw his Retsurai straight into the giant Makamou's eye.
The Yamabiko cried in pain before it placed a hand on it as it stumbled back.
Page soon falls to the ground, and Todoroki catches her in his arms.
"You, okay?" Todoroki asked.
"Yes, thank you." Page said before Todoroki let her stand on her feet.
Hibiki and Ibuki moved to their side before Team HYPN looked at the Yamabiko as it pulled Todoroki's Ongekigen Retsurai out of its eye and threw it to the ground.
"We're not going anywhere like this." Ibuki said.
"Any ideas, leader?" Todoroki asked.
Hibiki took a moment to study the giant Makamou before he looked down at its feet and that's when he got an idea.
"Just one. Nagisa, you and Page rushed to its feet and cut the ankles. Yuki, you use that chance to fire a sonic wave at it again. And I'll deal the finishing blow." Hibiki said before he pulled away his Rekka and pulled out his Ongekiko Kaentsuzumi.
"A daredevil stunt with zero chances of success, huh? I like it!" Todoroki said in excitement.
"Please don't say it like that." Ibuki said before she turned back to Hibiki. "On your signal?"
Hibiki nodded.
"Yeah. On three…two…one!" Hibiki said before he, Todoroki, and Page charged at the giant Makamou with Todoroki and Page running ahead of Hibiki.
The Yamabiko throws a punch at them, they dodge it with Todoroki and Page rolling on the side while Hibiki jumps back.
Todoroki was rolling towards his Ongekigen Retsurai as he picked it up before he and Page ran to the giant Makamou's feet and landed several slashes on the back of its ankles leaving deep cuts on them.
The Yamabiko roared in pain before Todoroki and Page moved away from it and Hibiki shouted to Ibuki.
"Yuki, now!"
Ibuki took a deep breath and fired a sonic wave at the Yamabiko as it hit on its chest, thanks to that along with the cuts on its ankles, the giant Makamou fell onto its back.
Hibiki soon runs and jumps onto the Yamabiko's chest and places his Ongekiko Kaentsuzumi on it before it enlarges.
Hibiki then pulls out his Rekka and declares his attack.
"Ongeki Da: Kaen Renda no Kata!" Hibiki then beats on the Taiko 30 times rapidly.
Then on Hibiki's last beat, the Yamabiko Okutama explodes and Hibiki lands on his feet and his Ongekiko returns to its small size, Hibiki holsters his Rekka and picks up the Ongekiko and attaches it to his belt.
Hibiki then saw his friends approaching them before they did a high wave one at a time.
After defeating the Monkey Makamous along with the Yamabiko Okutama, Team HYPN had followed the Disk Animals to a cave which was the Makamous' den.
They soon walked into the cave, and Page soon spotted the kidnap boy who was in a wooden cage as she pointed to him.
"There he is." Page said before she and Todoroki moved in front of the cage.
"I got this one." Todoroki said before he grabs onto the wooden bars on the cage and breaks them apart. "Easy peasy."
Todoroki gently grabbed onto the boy and pulled him out of it before he and Page checked on him. He was unconscious but thankfully there were no serious injuries on his body.
"Okay, besides a few cuts and scratches, I think he'll be alright." Todoroki said.
"Thank goodness." Page said in relief.
While Todoroki and Page were looking at the boy, Hibiki and Ibuki moved further inside of the cave before they stopped in front of a piece of cloth hanging on the ceiling.
Curious about what's behind it, Hibiki pushed the cloth aside and saw several Huntsman weapons behind it besides that it was completely empty.
"Well…That was melodramatic." Hibiki said before he and Ibuki picked one of the weapons.
"There's many weapons. These must have belonged to Huntsman who were killed by the Yamabiko." Ibuki concludes before she puts the weapon down.
"Yeah. I spotted a few cuts on its body earlier. So, it makes sense." Hibiki said before he put the weapon down. "But what's strange is that some of them look fresh. Like someone fought it not too long ago."
"That is strange." Ibuki said as she studied the rust and dust on some of the weapons. "And judging by the rust and dust on them, these weapons have been in here for some time now. What do you think it means?"
"I don't know." Hibiki said before he turned back to the unconscious boy. "But we should worry about that later. Right now, our top priority is getting that boy back to his mother before the proper authorities get here."
"Agreed." Ibuki nodded.
After the Oni Riders had changed back into their civilian forms, Team HYPN soon left the cave and headed to where they left the bikes as Nagisa was carrying the unconscious boy on his back.
As they were walking, Hitoshi was still wondering how the Yamabiko had received those cuts on its body and who was responsible for that.
(Later at night)
The hooded man was in the middle of the forest as he was standing close to several crates that were filled with Dust.
The reason he was standing in the forest with those crates is because he was waiting for someone.
Then an Aurora Curtain had appeared in front of him and walking out of the Curtain was another hooded man.
As the hooded man approaches him, he soon kneels before him.
"Master." He greeted him.
"It's been a while, Kabuki. I presume that you finished your task?" The Master asked, and Kabuki nodded.
"Of course." Kabuki said before he stood up and gestured to the crates. "As I promise you, over a year's worth of Dust for your use."
The Master then opens one of the crates and picks up one of the canisters filled with Dust to look at it closely.
"Well done, Kabuki. I almost thought that you'll have trouble with this task. It's nice to know that I was wrong for once." His Lord said before he put the canister back into the crate. "Now we can begin studying and mass reproducing Dust."
"Thank you, My Lord. But does that mean my mission is done now?" Kabuki asked, and his master nodded.
"Of course. You're now free to do whatever you want. Just be sure to report back to me if anything happens." His Lord told him.
"Of course. Thank you for this." Kabuki said.
With a snap of his fingers, an Aurora Curtain had appeared beside Kabuki's lord and the crates of Dust before it moved towards and swallowed them and soon disappeared.
As his master was now gone, Kabuki smiles in excitement as he was now free to exact his revenge against his archenemy.
"Finally. Now I can finally get my revenge against Hibiki." Kabuki said before he laughed.
