Author's Note: It's me again, and as I said l said the last chapter, I would get into this. So a lot of people were saying that Sirzechs would've destroyed the commandments out of existence with his powers after seeing Rias Peerage get hurt/killed. However, you forget that he's one of the Maou, and he can't just spam his destruction abilities whenever he wants, no matter what happens unless necessary.
Yeah, he'll be upset that Rias's peerage was killed, but it's not his members. Even if they were, he'd have to move forward and find a way to deal with it. Yeah, I don't think there's a character within SDS verse that can survive Existence Erasure, except maybe DK Meliodas or Full power Chaos King Arthur. Still, you should also remember about the Ten Commandments. Now, the holders of the Commandments can't survive Existence Erasure. However, the effect of their commandments would still be in effect.
The Commandment's power are almost like concepts, the things that govern reality. Grayroad says that the commandments aren't just a curse, they are an absolute power no one can oppose, even by its user. So let us say that Meliodas killed Rias in the first few chapters. Sirzechs would go ballistic and try and kill him in his rage. However, in front of Meliodas, the Commandment of Repose would strip away his emotions due to him losing himself in anger, or being unable to fight due to being in the presence of Estarossa because of the Commandment of Malevolence.
Either way, the Ten Commandments don't get one-shotted as you all would think, the Commandment itself would still have an effect that affects anyone, other than DK Meliodas, the SD, and the DK, along with the Commandment holder of another. Everyone else is still subjected to the commandments power. The hax that the commandments possess is pretty broken, and they can defeat most unless they have a certain hax that can counter it.
The only way to resist the commandments effect is by doing the opposite of what they do, assuming you know what they do in the first place. Also, Sirzechs isn't stronger than anyone in the SDS verse, yes he's stronger than most, but he can be defeated by someone like Chaos King Arthur with Reality Warping, being thrown into Purgatory, Ban's snatch ability to steal his heart or organs, or True magic form Meliodas who has absolute destruction, which is above Existence Erasure.
Basically, Sirzech can defeat most of the SDS characters, but he'll get knocked down by the hax of certain characters despite having his own.
Also, some people complained about Meliodas and Sirzechs not fighting in chapter six, along with Meliodas being bipolar about killing everyone then asking Issei to join him when his original self wouldn't, and Rias getting confident about her brother showing up.
Well, when you're in a world that you know nothing about, you would want someone to tell you what they know about their world. Also, Rias is getting how she was because Sirzechs is really powerful, it would make sense when your strongest ally shows up to get all excited, especially when you're losing a fight against a powerful opponent. Also, Meliodas only played with Issei's emotions to get him to say the answer that he wanted, not whatever Issei knew was right.
Anyway, I'm done with the explanation. Fun fact this is the second time writing this because the first was unsaved and the page reloaded, here's the chapter.
Chapter 21-The Armies Power
(With Meliodas)
Meliodas was pleased when he learned of the many strategies that had been made. There had been numerous strategies that could've been used, but Meliodas couldn't be a part of it. His goal was fighting Sirzechs. Killing the strongest Maou would surely bring their armies to a halt and force them all to surrender. However, another matter drew Meliodas's attention.
"What of this being called Hades? Will he be a problem?" Meliodas asked as Yasaka was surprised that he knew who he was. Well, Meliodas didn't know who the God was, he had only heard of him when Gowther had told him of the various deities and mythologies that had existed.
"Hades isn't a problem. As a matter of fact, he may even be willing to help you. He despises Devils and Fallen Angels, but there may be a price. he is a God after all." Yasaka explained as Meliodas nodded but didn't believe that they had enough time to go and strike a deal with the God of The Dead. He may send someone else as a representative instead, but that was just a possibility.
"I see. I shall think over if it is worth sending someone there to negotiate a deal. Aside from that, can there be any more unforeseen problems?" Meliodas asked while thinking about who could be an excellent candidate to negotiate with him.
"Well, some other Gods may be a problem. I'm positive that my own deities aren't too pleased with me, but until something is said, I shall say nothing. As for now, some Gods that may be a problem are Indra, Shiva, Zeus, and Lord Susanoo. However, Lord Susanoo hasn't interacted with the human realm, so he will unlikely care for the war." Yasaka explained as Meliodas nodded. She didn't say to expect them in the war, but it was a possibility that they could show themselves.
"If I may add. There's another being that we should definitely watch out for." Azazel jumped in as Meliodas, Yasaka, and everyone present looked towards him. "A being called Trihexa, or known as 666." Azazel said as Yasaka's eyes widened for a brief moment. The being that had the God of the Bible place over thousands of Forbidden levels of Seals to seal it away.
"Azazel, for what reason should we be concerned about this being? Last time I checked, the God of the Bible sealed it away at the End of the World." Yasaka asked, narrowing her eyes at the former leader of the Grigori. Trihexa wasn't a name you just threw around for shit and giggles, its name held power, power that should be feared.
"I have my ways. All you should know is that its seal is breaking, and it's eventually going to break free." Azazel explained as he started walking around. "The problem is when it breaks free. It could be during the war, before or after it, but the point is, we need to get ready. I'm actually going to have a word with Shiva to see if he will deal with it." Azazel explained as Yasaka was now silent. Azazel bid his farewell as he grabbed a few Fallen Angels with him. Before he left, Meliodas boldly declared something.
"If such a being truly does escape its imprisonment, then I shall deal with it." Meliodas declared, shocking everyone. Azazel turned to look at him with wide eyes, as did Yasaka. They didn't know what power he possessed to "deal" with a being that needed over thousands of Forbidden levels of Seals to seal it away, but whatever it was, it must truly be something destructive.
"Well, I'm going to go and ask anyway. He's recognized as one of the strongest beings in the world and has the power to destroy it." Azazel said as he left with his small group via teleportation. Meliodas left him to do what he wanted, he wasn't worried for him but decided to keep Trihexa in the back of his mind. It didn't matter if such a being existed, if it stood in his way, he would destroy it.
"Aside from them, and Lord Susanoo, they are the only deities who may interact within the war. Not counting Odin, who is more than likely aiding in the war alongside Sirzechs." Yasaka finished her explanation as Meliodas nodded. A pillar of fire appeared from behind him as Ace walked out of it. He greeted everyone, sending a wink towards Yasaka before speaking to Meliodas.
"The armies are assembled. We're only waiting for your arrival and command." Ace said as Meliodas nodded. He turned to Yasaka as she grew serious and nodded, knowing what was coming next. She already had her best guarding her daughter while she was away, her current duties were needed here, helping with the war that would spare her and her followers along with her daughter.
"Then I shall go and give them a speech. Afterward, tell Melascula and Ophis to prepare a portal to the Underworld. It's time that we get this war underway." Meliodas announced as he left the room, with Ace and Cusack following him. Chandler had noticed that Yasaka seemed conflicted with something and decided that he would stay behind for a bit and confront her.
"Something troubles you my dear. It would be best to tell someone before heading off into a battle, as for your emotions not to cloud your judgment." Chandler said as Yasaka sighed. She knew he was right. Battling against an opponent, especially in war, having your emotions cloud your mind would prevent an effective leader.
"There are times where I think that joining within the war was a mistake. That joining the side of the Ten Commandments may have been a mistake, but I also know that it is far too late to back out." Yasaka explained as Chandler nodded while humming. He could understand her, she was going former comrades for the sake of protecting her child and her people.
"This is a biased opinion, but I believe that you made the correct choice. I have been alongside the young master for the past 3,000 years. I've trained him, taught him, and showed him everything I know. He has made tough decisions just like you, but if there is something that I've told him, it's this." Chandler explained as Yasaka looked at him for more information. "The hardest of choices requires the strongest of wills. It is something that applies to everyone when confronted with a difficult decision. And believe me, Meliodas has made difficult decisions before. You cannot go through life without second-guessing yourself, but as a leader, you must see it through when a decision is made." Chandler explained as Yasaka took his words into her thoughts as she smiled and started walking towards the door with Chandler in tow.
"I must thank you for your words of wisdom. Perhaps when this war is over, you could become my advisor?" Yasaka asked as Chandler laughed before denying her request. He explained that he would always be by Meliodas's side no matter the occasion. Yasaka chuckled at his rejection, knowing that she had expected this as they continued making their way to where the army was located.
(With Meliodas)
Meliodas was standing in front of a chattering army. They all talked amongst themselves as they waited for him to quiet them all down. By his side were his brothers, and behind them were the former Ten Commandments, the Six Knights of Black, the leader of the Yokai Faction, his teacher Chandler along with Cusack, and the Thought Projection of the former leader of the Grigori.
Azazel knew that this was very important, so Gowther taught him Thought Projection magic to be here while also meeting with Shiva. It had been very long since he had seen an army of this large assembled, but it was for a great war. A war that would consume both sides with death, but only one side would be victorious. He sent a small look to Meliodas, he could see that he was slightly nervous, but he was hiding it well.
Perhaps this was the first time he was leading such a massive army? No. The man had led armies in another war before, more than likely just as significant. He was also the leader of a powerful group of Demons. Then the answer had finally come to him. Meliodas was nervous of failure once more. It was understandable. He was the strongest Demon in his homeworld that everyone respected and feared.
However, before Azazel could say something to him, Meliodas had stepped forward and snapped his fingers. Just as he snapped them, thunder boomed across the field that the soldiers were standing in as they all became quiet. They looked to Meliodas, giving them all a glare, and gulped as they saw him sigh before speaking.
"Everyone here knows the cause of this large gathering! We are going to war with the Underworld!" Meliodas raised his voice so everyone could hear him. The beings of the Supernatural look towards one another before Meliodas spoke again. "Yes, it is true that aside from those of the Demon Race, you are all attacking your former home with former lives. However! I can understand that there may be those who are hesitant to fight friends and family, but for this war, we need no hesitance! Which is why I shall grant you all a small portion of the power from the Demon Race." Meliodas declared as demons stared at him. They knew that anyone who wasn't compatible with the blood of the Demon Race would be killed. So they wondered how Meliodas planned on giving them a small portion of their power without death.
Meliodas had raised his hand as his hand glowed in dark energy. He then waved it as the dark energy came off as particles and spread across the massive army as the particles touched them, then dispersed into their bodies. Soon enough, it all had stopped as there was silence before they had all started gaining marks on their forehead or elsewhere on their body. Their magical power had started growing, and some people's eye color had changed to dark purple. This had continued, and while some didn't have a change in eye color, their power had most certainly had.
The Demons stared in shock as their army didn't perish a horrible death. They stared at Meliodas for an answer as he smirked. "The power of being The Demon King. I figured that if my Father could split and give his power, I could do the same. However, I only gave them the powers that the Demon Clan possess, nothing more and nothing less." Meliodas explained as his comrades wondered just how much stronger everyone else had gotten. Gowther knew that they weren't stronger than any of them, but knew that they were stronger than the average Supernatural being.
"Now that you've all gained advancement in power, the only thing I expect from you all is that you show no mercy against your opponents!" Meliodas shouted as the army cheered while their leaders smirked. With this new powered army, the Demons felt even more confident in their abilities of victory. Meliodas turned to Melascula and Kuroka as they knew what he wanted and started gathering their magic as he faced the army again and quieted down.
"This is the moment! We invade the Underworld immediately. While you all are taking it over. I shall be fighting Sirzechs elsewhere, and leave Zeldris in charge." Meliodas announced as Zeldris was shocked but kept calm as he stepped forward. The gigantic portal was opened as the army rushed through with others flying as the Invasion of the Underworld had begun.
Chapter End
Author's Note: Hey guys, here's the chapter it is pretty short, but Ik that I haven't gotten a chapter out in a while, so here it is. I was going to release this chapter after the last one, but I kind of left it at a certain point that I didn't know how to progress from because I had lost the thought behind it all, so yeah.
Anyway, the next chapter is the actual Invasion, and I think after this is where everything starts to become calm...somewhat. I do think that after this chapter, I'll make a filler chapter like a filler episode, just like in anime. Unlike anime, this is for comedic purposes instead of having a catch-up, cause, you know, this isn't an anime or manga.
Aside from that, Meliodas gave his army a boost in power with his Demon King powers. Now, before anyone starts throwing shade and shit, I wanna point out that the Demon King did do it with half of his full power and then split it into ten separate things. So it would be possible that Meliodas, or any other anime character who can do something similar, could grant the powers of the Demon Clan to others.
Welp, this is the end and I hope you all have a good day.
