Author's Note: Hello, and here is the actual chapter for the story. The filler was something I wanted to have some fun with it because I said I would, and I did. I also said that this chapter would come out with it and it did, so you are welcome even though I've been gone for two months.

There's not much to say other than let's get on with the chapter.

Chapter 22-Invasion

(With Sirzechs)

Sirzechs was stressed.

Very stressed.

So much so that he couldn't keep up with everyone around him. He was outvoted and was forced to take some time for himself before returning to his duties. He couldn't try and sneak away as Grayfia was watching him like a hawk and had threatened him multiple times that she would tell his wife.

He listened to her as he was in a hot spring, allowing the hot waters to soothe his muscles and ease his mind. He would admit that this small break was helpful and knew that he would be back on his feet after this.

*BAM!*

His peaceful break was interrupted when the door to the hot springs was thrown open. He silently groaned, knowing that his relaxation time was over and he would need to attend something important.

"Forgive the intrusion, my lord! But Lord Gabriel told me that you are to be made aware of this matter immediately!" The servant shouted as he dropped to a knee. Sirzechs narrowed his eyes as he got up from the water, and in a flash of magic, his clothes were on his body.

"Tell me. Just how important is this?" Sirzechs asked, knowing that he was practically thrown into the hot springs by his comrades.

"It's the Ten Commandments! Their invading the the Underworld!"

(Small timeskip)

Sirzechs was briskly walking through the halls of his home with Grafyia following him. He continued until he reached a double door before he opened them. In the room was Gabriel, Caco Caco, Ajuka, and Falbium. They all had hardened looks on their face as Sirzechs took a seat with a look matching them.

"I heard the news. Where are they and how are we combating them?" Sirzechs instantly asked as Gabriel was the first to speak.

"They've appeared on the outskirts of some Underworld towns and cities. We've sent our own army as a response to combat them, but the enemy seems be empowered. It's difficult to defeat them, but they aren't immortals, they can be killed." Gabriel explained as she used her magic and created a small video of what was happening.

What they saw horrified them. Devils and Fallen Angels were being killed, and their souls were being devoured. Others weren't as lucky. They were either brutally murdered or tortured before being allowed to die. Gabriel ceased her projection, no longer wishing to see any other horrific acts that were being committed.

"Damn them!" Ajuka shouted as he slammed his fist on the table. "They must've used a spell to empower their army. Otherwise, the Mid-ranking Devils that live there wouldn't be having so much trouble on their own." Ajuka finished as he leaned back into his seat. Everyone could understand his frustration and anger. Watching the citizens of your homeland slaughtered like cattle would make anyone angry.

"True as that they may be. The Low-Class Devils wouldn't have survived, even without the empowerment." Grayfia calmly said as everyone knew she was right. "Even so, I believe that while we still can, we should focus on evacuating them while having any Mid-Ranking Devils and higher join the fight. This should also include any Fallen Angels that still lurk around the Underworld." Grayfia explained her plan as everyone nodded in agreement.

"What about Issei Hyoudou? Even though he's been stripped of his emotions, that doesn't mean he can't fight alongside everyone." Falbium said as he clasped his hands together. "We would ask Rias Gremory, but she hasn't seen been since her disappearance. As a matter of fact, her remaining peerage members have no idea where she went." Falbium finished as they all sighed. Sirzechs never wanted to give up on his sister, but even when his peerage members couldn't find her, he had no choice but to give up.

"Honestly, the remaining members of her peerage are all in disarray. Kiba and Akeno are dead, Asia and Koneko are with the enemy, and Issei has been turned into an emotionless robot. Xenovia wishes to leave with Gasper, no longer wishing to participate in this war. I can only assume that this was because of Rias. Irina has great fear within her due to Zeldris and will most likely not flee with Xenovia in fear of falling and becoming a Fallen Angel." Cao Cao explained as he scratched his head. "Honestly, that peerage used to be very respected, but now it's hated due to Rias Gremory, and this entire war is her fault."

Cao Cao finished ignoring the threatening death glare from Sirzechs. Everyone else sighed at the realization and knew that Cao Cao was right, but they wouldn't say it out loud. They needed to get Grayfia's plan into motion immediately and promptly figure out what to do about Issei.

"Well, seeing as you are Rias's sister, Sirzechs, it only makes sense that you are the one who decides what we do with Issei." Gabriel calmly said as she rested her eyes on the Maou. Everyone else agreed as Sirzechs nodded, saying that he'll figure it out later. Now, however, was the time for action as the leaders stood.

"We must now counter-attack. We cannot wait any longer and allow the demons to do as they wish. We strike immediently!"

"Right!"

(With Zeldris)

Zeldris was in the sky, watching the destruction beneath him. The army of demons continued their rampage while Devils and Fallen Angels fled, with others not being as lucky. The Six Knights of Black were sent elsewhere with their own army to cause destruction. The same is said for Vali's team and Yasaka. Azazel's Thought Projection was leading his own army as well, while the rest of the former Commandments went off on their own in pairs.

Zeldris wasn't alone like he would've preferred to be. However, having Arthur Pendragon with him certainly calmed his nerves. He was sure that Arthur would've preferred to be with Vali, but he had no choice. Zeldris could've had Cusack with him, but Meliodas wanted Cusack and Chandler to fight another powerful being that he sensed was elsewhere.

The pair would've continued watching when Zeldris created an Anti-Magic sword to negate a magical attack. Zeldris didn't move, but he looked to his side to Akuja glaring at him. "Have you come all this way to forfeit your life? Or was that pitiful attack supposed to be your magic?" Zeldris asked as he fully turned to stare at his opponent. Akuja didn't look intimidating, but Zeldris could sense the amount of magic within him as he instantly knew that he was another Maou.

"No, it wasn't. I've come here to kill you." Ajuka replied as Zeldris scoffed. He sent a wave of flames towards the Maou as he went to turn back and watch the destruction when he noticed his attack had sizzled away. He also noticed a light green magic circle before he gripped the sword he created as he stared down one of the Maou.

"Zeldris, We should take caution against him. His magical ability allows him to manipulate whatever he wishes and create whatever he wants. He changes things from the formula they are into something else entirely. From turning water into ice or water into steam for methods of attack and defense." Arthur explained as Zeldris nodded. The ability was a problem indeed, but Zeldris was confident that he and Arthur could defeat and kill Ajuka. Even more so when Arthur summoned his sword, Caliburn.

Caliburn has a grip long enough that appears as a two-handed sword with a round pommel at the end, a huge cross-like shaped guard, and a long blade with a gold-colored edge.

"Perhaps I've underestimated you. I assure you that it will not happen again." Zeldris stated as he vanished and appeared above Ajuka. The Maou responded by creating a shield of ice that Zeldris's sword had broken through. Ajuka had backed away to avoid being cut by Zeldris's follow-up attack, but a piece of his clothing was nicked as a small cut on his shoulder healed itself.

"I see. You're using Sword Birth to create Anti-Magic swords, but to use it you need to turn off your magical abilities so that you aren't negating your own attacks." Akuja deducted as Zeldris narrowed his eyes. The man was smarter than he gave him credit for and knew that this was someone who couldn't leave here alive.

"Tell me, where is Meliodas? Sirzechs has been looking for him." Ajuka demanded as Zeldris kept his glare. The sword he held vanished as he summonsed a different one. The one he held was a black Katana as darkness slowly rose from the blade as Zeldris pointed it at Ajuka. Arthur pushed his glasses up as he pointed his blade at the Maou as well.

"Meliodas waits for Sirzechs at Lucifaad." Zeldris replied as Ajuka's eyes widened. How they knew of that place was unknown to him. Sure, they could've stumbled upon the ruins, but for Zeldris to know the name of the ruins was another matter entirely.

"If that is all, then prepare yourself. For I guarantee that this battle will be unlike anything you've ever had." Ajuka declared as he summoned his own sword. The Maou stared down Zeldris was stared back until they both vanished and clashed their weapons.

(With Estarossa)

Estarossa calmly walked through a burning town as icicles suddenly appeared over him and started crashing into the ground. An icicle was about to pierce him when the ice was cut down. Estarossa kept walking while having a smirk on his face as Grayfia landed in front of him.

"I must say that your attack was impressive. You kept the range of your attack minimal to avoid any survivors, but still attacked me at full force." Estarossa commented as Gryfia kept her cold eyes on the demon before her. Behind her were her fellow peerage members. Well, at least two of them were with her.

There was a large man to her right who appears to be in his mid-thirties and is about two meters tall with orange hair that he has spiked up. His body has a large build and emits a wild aura that Estarossa notes is far higher than Sairaorg. His hands were large enough to fit an average-sized human head in their grips. He wears a thick coat that stands out and carries a bottle of sake with him.

To Grayfia's left was a skinny man in his late twenties with sharp eyes and long and slightly wavy hair, a mixture of black and blond. He looked bewitched due to the long slits of his eyes and his shallow smile. He wore a crimson robe with a distinguished design as underneath it was a white shirt with a light brown sleeveless pullover, a red tie, a black coat, and black trousers. (The wiki for him says that he wears a crimson robe...and nothing else for clothing. So, I added something from another anime.)

The two were Surtr Second and MacGregor Mathers respectively. They both had immense magical power rolling off of them, and yet Grayfia was still leagues above them both. Estarossa smirked as Asia landed next to him. He was supposed to take another former commandment with him, but he instead chose Asia to tag along with him. Even so, Meliodas had ordered his brother to take someone else with him if he didn't take a former commandment with him.

"I'm ready to help Sir Estarossa!" Le Fey eagerly said as Estarossa internally groaned. He didn't hate her, he just found her enthusiasm to be too much. Not only that, but Asia was jealous of her because she liked to be around Estarossa. It was stupid, he knew it, but he refused to call her out on it.

"So Asia, you've sided with the Ten Commandments?" Grayfia asked as Asia smirked.

"Indeed I have."

"I see. If that is truly the case..."Grayfia said as the temperature started dropping. Her hair covered her eyes until she looked up and was glaring holes into Asia. "...then I will not have to hold back against you." Gryafia coldly finished as she waved her hand towards them, causing spears of ice to form as Estarossa waved his own hand.

"Evil Hound!" Estarossa chanted as a dog of dark flames came forth and collided with her spell. The only thing that truly happened was that Estarossa's spell had incinerated Grayfia's attack as she, Macgregor, and Surtr jumped out of the way. The devils saw the destruction that his spell caused as they stared in shock that such destructive magic existed.

"Surtr, you shall fight Asia. Macgregor, you are fighting Le Fey. I shall fight Estarossa." Grayfia ordered as the men nodded and vanished from their places. Surtr appeared in front of Asia and delivered a powerful punch as she raised her arms, coated in darkness, to protect herself. While the darkness she used protected her arms from being blown off like twigs, she was sent flying across the town as her arms were purple from the bruising. Asia healed her herself as Surtur came towards her with another punch as she coated her fist in darkness.

Asia started rapidly spinning herself as she countered Surtur's attack and proceeded to pound at his chest with her attack. She continued until she stopped and punched him towards the ground, causing a crater. While this happened, Macgregor made his move onto Le Fey as he was above her and pointed his finger at her, and cast a spell.

"Water Gun!" Macgregor chanted as a small droplet of water formed on his finger. Then, much like a gun, he fired. Le Fey created a shield to protect herself. However, the water bullet pierced her shield as Le Fey's eyes widened as she moved to the side. But the water bullet still pierced through her hand.

"I think that you'll find me to be a very annoying opponent. I see with my own eyes that you're a very powerful sorcerer, but if you do not take this fight seriously, you'll die." Macgregor warned as Le Fey healed her hand. Her playful expression was gone and was replaced with a more serious one as she chanted her own spell.

"Heavenward Halberd!" Le Fey chanted as she raised her hands and lightning formed between them, forming a very large trident. She gripped the lightning-shaped object and threw it at her opponent. Macgregor narrowed his eyes before he chanted another spell.

"Water Dragon!" Macgregor yelled as a dragon of water appeared behind him. It roared before rushed forward and collided with Le Fey's spell before an explosion of water and lighting happened.

During all of this, Estarossa still stood in front of Grayfia with a smirk on his face as Grayfia continued her glare. "I must say, your friends seem powerful. After I kill you I might have to go and help my subbordinates." Estarossa said as Grayfia scoffed.

"Killing me won't be as easy as you think. Your death, however, will not be an easy one." Grayfia replied as the temperature started lowering. She raised her hands as ice started forming on them and on the streets and buildings.

"How ruthless. Have you forgotten where you're standing? If you use that kind of magical power, everyone on your side of the town will freeze to death." Estarossa explained as Grayfia didn't listen. Instead, she followed through with her attack as Estarossa was launched into the air.

"What the hell!? Even though she risked the lives of any survivors, she still attacked me at full strength!" Estarossa thought to himself as Grayfia was flying above him. He couldn't be defeated here, not after everything he's been.

"Killing Saucer!" Estarossa chanted as two saws of darkness appeared in his hand. However, instead of charging the devil, he threw them toward her. Grayfia narrowed her eyes as she raised her hands, surprising Estarossa.

"Does she plan to stop it head on!? She knows our magic would cancel each other, either that or mine overpowers her. But does she really belive that brute strength alone is stopping those!? As of now with my new power..." Estarossa thought to himself as the saws of darkness were within Grayfia's range.

"...Those saws have enough power to obliterate all of India in a single strike!" Estarossa finished his thought as Grayfia caught his attack. She was being pushed back as she channeled magic to her hands and feet. She slowly came to a stop before looking at Estarossa directly in his eyes as she broke his magical attack.

Estarossa looked shocked before he smirked. He chuckled before laughing. He continued until he stopped as a small portal of darkness appeared over his chest. "I just can't get enough of what this dimension has to offer. This is the kind of fight I've been waiting for!" Estarossa said as he pulled a curved sword. He pointed it at Grayfia before aiming towards the sky. Clouds formed as Estarossa vanished and appeared in the sky as he aimed his sword toward Grayfia.

"Indra!" Estarossa chanted as his sword crackled with electricity before a gigantic bolt of lightning was fired at the devil before him. Grayfia's eyes widened at the power coming toward her before she grits her teeth as she created a bow made of ice and aimed it at the attack heading toward her.

"Zeroth Destruction Bow!" Grayfia yelled as she fired an ice arrow. Her arrow had collided with Estarossa's attack as a spiky array of ice exploded when it had made contact. The explosion created a smokescreen that Grayfia capitalized on.

"Guncho Tsurara!" Grayfia chanted as she froze the water in the air around her as she thrust her palm forward firing an array of ice daggers. The daggers of ice, however, never pierced Estarossa as he wasn't in the sky. Grayfia looked around for him but couldn't find him or sense him until she felt a sword pierce her stomach.

"Gotcha." Estarossa whispered as Grayfia coughed blood as she turned her head to see Estarossa with a small smile on his face.

"H-How...? I never sensed you."

"Phantom Force. It's an attack that completely hides my presence, mainly because it places me in another dimension. I can't be seen, I can't be sensed, and to top it all off not only do I become invulnerable to most if not all attacks, but I can also go right through your defenses." Estarossa explained as he shoved the sword further into her stomach. Grayfia didn't scream, nor did she call for help. Instead, she muttered her next attack.

"Discharge." Grayfia muttered as her body glowed yellow before electricity violently exploded from herself. Estarossa howled in pain as he let go of his sword, allowing Grayfia to spin around and punch him in the stomach. Estarossa coughed bottles worth of blood as he felt a few of his ribs break before he was sent out of the electric dome and was crashing through buildings.

Grayfia then removed the sword from her stomach as she healed herself. "If you think that Ice magic is the only thing I know then you're a fool." Grayfia chastised as she dusted off her clothing. She looked through the holes that Estarossa was sent through as she saw him walking back towards her.

"Well, that was unexpected. I'm glad I released my darkness when I did, any later would've been rough." Estarossa explained as darkness flowed off of him. He had burn marks that were healed when his darkness went over him. "All right, I think it's time we got serious. Wouldn't you agree?"

"Indeed. It's time we start fighting seriously." Grayfia replied as the two of them started releasing their magical power. Their power was felt by their comrades as they took a moment to look at them before facing their opponents once more.

(With Meliodas)

Meliodas was sitting upon a rock when he felt a powerful presence heading towards him at high speeds. His emerald eyes had a serious look and he continued sitting as the being landed in front of him.

It was Sirzechs.

"I've been told you were waiting for me. Sorry for the wait, Meliodas." Sirzechs spoke as Meliodas stared at the Maou. Meliodas stood up as he crossed his arms and his demon mark started appearing on his forehead.

"It's quite alright. I haven't been for very long." Meliodas replied as Sirzechs fought back a grin. They sounded like people ready to go on a date. However, their "date" would start with unrivaled destruction, and end in death. "I must ask you, Sirzechs. How did the Three Factions come to peace? From what I know, the Fallen Angels overpopulated the Underworld, Pure Devils started dropping and the Angels, at least high-ranking ones, have enough power to wipe out some of the clans. So how?" Meliodas asked as he took a seat once more. Sirzechs looked confused before he sat down. He had come here for a fight, not to give a history lesson to his enemy.

"Well, I believe that we realized that fighting each other was pointless. We all simply wanted to live our lives and do what's best for everyone. And while some may not agree with us, the leaders of each faction knew otherwise." Sirzechs summarized as Meliodas hummed in thought. He wondered why his father and the Supreme Deity never came to such an agreement. There were many times when Meliodas had sat down and wondered why during the war in Brittania they were fighting in the first place. Was it because of the human's fear of the unknown? How Demons were monsters and Angels were paragons.

Even now, Meliodas knew that this all started because of Rias Gremory's group. He had, essentially, helped them with a threat they were struggling against. It wasn't his intention to help them, but that's simply what happened. However, it was when Rias acted like she wasn't about to be executed and started demanding things from them as if she were their superior.

Even so, Meliodas chose not to dwell on the past. What has happened has been set in stone, and where they are now is because of it. Meliodas shook his head from the memories of the past as he started gathering his magic.

"I'm done with the pleasentries. Let us get down to buisness." Meliodas said as in a flash of darkness he was in his Assault form. Sirzechs didn't reply as he glowed crimson with his power of Destruction. The two leaders stared each other down as Meliodas got into a stance while Sirzechs gathered magic in his hands. Neither one said anything, and they didn't move until a faint explosion from the war caused the ground to rumble.

Which also caused the two leaders to vanish and clash their fists against one another. Starting the battle that would decide the war.

End Chapter

Author's Note: What's up, it's been a month or two since I last updated but here's the chapter. Along with a filler chapter, yeah I get that it won't please everyone but they'll just have to deal with it. Anyway, the battle between Sirzechs and Meliodas has begun, along with many battles that are bound to happen.

There isn't much to say, so let's hope that you don't need to wait a month or two for a chapter. See ya!
