Kara's POV

That night, I ordered a pizza and demanded that Alex come over. I needed to tell someone everything and I knew she could be trusted. Hopefully, the D.E.O. could help with security.

"What's up? You've never actually demanded a sister night." Flipping open the pizza box, Alex studied me. "Kara?"

"I…I did a thing," I paused. "A few things actually." I started to pace around the apartment. "Multiple times…."

"Is this about your date? With everything going on, I've not been able to ask how it went." Alex watched me go from one side of the apartment to the other. "What's going on?"

"I slept with her," I blurted.

"With who?"

"The woman from Saturday night. Well, not the original woman. She stood me up. Thank goodness! I went home with a second woman. We slept together and we cooked breakfast together. After we had morning sex…"

"Actually…that's pretty normal," Alex shrugged. "Do you like her? More than just for a good night?" She paused. "Will you sit or stand still? You're making me dizzy."

"Sorry." Sitting at the table, I covered my face. "Clark is going to kill me."

"Why?" She took a bite of pizza. "What does he have to do with this?"

"Because I slept with Lex Luther's little sister…" I grinned. It took a moment for my words to sink in.

"You did what?" Alex exclaimed.

"And I want to do it again." Alex stared dumbfounded. "I slept with Lena freaking Luthor and, Alex, I really want to date her. She's nothing like Lex. Even though the woman I met Saturday night was guarded, the woman I woke up next to wasn't. She's doing everything she can to help with the investigation. She wants to help Supergirl. And…"

"And what?" Alex smirked. "What am I about to be dragged into?" She motioned towards my face. "That's your puppy dog eyes and pout."

"She asked if I could come to the renaming ceremony tomorrow as Kara Danvers and as Supergirl if Lex's henchman tries anything."

"She knows you're Supergirl? You told her? How good was the sex?" Each sentence got louder and higher pitched.

"I didn't tell her! She recognized me!" I grinned remembering Saturday night and Sunday morning. "It's really, really good. I didn't know you could do that five times."

"My record is six," Alex murmured. "Wait, overall or in one session?"

"Session." I took a triumphant bite of pizza.

"Damn." Alex shook her head. "Do you have another date planned? Leave it to you to sleep with Lex Luthor's little sister."

"Dinner Wednesday night. Will you come tomorrow for backup?" I pleaded. "It deals with Lex Luthor so, technically, D.E.O. related."

"J'onn is not going to like this." Alex rubbed her temple. "If you've already scheduled a second date, that's a good sign. Just don't sleep with her again until date three at least."

"Lena and I discussed that already and both agree we want to get to know each other before having sex again." Rubbing my face, I groaned. "Alex, it's going to be so hard. She looks at me a certain way and I want to rip my clothes off. Another look makes me want to fall to my knees. I'm pretty sure if she looked at me in a loving way with a soft smile I'd give her anything she asked for."

"You've got it bad for her," Alex smirked.

"I'm fully aware, Alex!" The older woman laughed. "But Saturday was basically a date. We got food to go and watched half a season of Grace and Frankie before sleeping together."

"Oh. So, you actually got to know some stuff about her beforehand?" I nodded. "Since you're head over heels for her, she's definitely not the ice queen everyone says she is."

"She is the polar opposite of an ice queen."

Xxx

Before leaving for CatCo, I sent Lena a text. Good morning. Hope this is okay. See you soon. -K

Of course it is. While yes, we've not been on an official date, let's call Saturday night one. I have a feeling we're already acting like a couple anyway. See you soon. -L

Sounds perfect. -K

Arriving at work, Miss Grant was waiting for me. "Close the door."

Doing so, I placed a coffee cup on my boss' desk. "Yes, Miss Grant?" She's working on the Lena Luthor story.

"You're a good judge of character and have spent some time with Miss Luthor. I want to know your take on her."

I've spent more time with her than you think. "I believe what she says about wanting L-Corp to be a force for good. She wants to help Supergirl if needed."

Miss Grant's brow rose. "A Luthor and A Super working together? That would make one hell of a headline."

"She took over Luthor Corporation and is rebranding it to get out of her family's shadow. She seems genuine." I need to shut up before Miss Grant-

"You seem to know more about this woman than any of us." An inquisitive brow rose. "Why is that?"

Lie like your life depends on it! "I just know what she's told me and what I've seen."

"Hmm." The older woman studied me. "Something's gotten into you," she paused. "I like it."

You have no idea what's gotten into me. "I took your speech to heart. So far, I like the person I'm becoming."

"I'm glad." Putting her glasses back on, Miss Grant cleared her throat. "I want coverage of the ceremony. Can you handle it? You'll have to fight other media outlets." Her brows creased. "What's that grin for? I'm being serious."

"I won't have to fight anyone. I was invited by Miss Luthor herself," I smiled triumphantly. "While other outlets are in the crowd, CatCo will be up close and behind the scenes."

Miss Grant's jaw slacked. "You were gone for an hour." She stood, leaning forward on her desk. "How the hell did you manage a plus one invitation?"

"You said I would make a great reporter," I grinned. "I better get some work done before I head to L-Corp." Exiting Miss Grant's office, I could feel her stare burning into me.

Arriving on Lena's floor, I smiled. "Hi, Jess. I'm here to see Miss Luthor."

The dark haired assistant glanced over Lena's schedule. "Yes, she said you'd be joining her at the ceremony. I'll let her know you're here." Picking up the phone, Jess waited. "Miss Luthor, Kara Danvers is here. I will." Ending the call, she motioned towards the door. "Go ahead."

"Thank you."

Entering the spacious office, I smiled seeing the brunette. "Hey, ready to go?"

"Almost." Closing a file, Lena placed it in the desk drawer. Getting to her feet, she grabbed something before walking my way. "How's your day been?"

"It's been good. I got to genuinely shock Miss Grant this morning."

"Do tell," Lena chuckled. Carefully, the CEO clipped a media badge to my jacket. "I thought this might help." Her hand lingered a moment on my chest.

"She asked if I could handle coverage for today since I would need to fight off other media outlets. I said I could handle it because you invited me."

Green eyes brightened with mischief. "I wish I could have seen her face."

"It was priceless." I did my best to imitate my boss' expression, causing a wholesome laugh to fill the office. I finished telling Lena about the meeting with Miss Grant and she smiled.

"Thank you, Kara. You being in my corner helps more than you realize." Stepping forward, Lena kissed my cheek.

Humming, I smiled. "You're welcome." Feeling my cheeks warm, I laughed. "Better let my face cool off before we leave. As an assistant, Jess knows far more about you than you realize. If she's anything like I was with Miss Grant. She'd clock us in a heartbeat."

"Luckily, Jess wouldn't bat an eye. Eventually, she'll realize I'm dating someone. She's not the type to sell someone out to the media. Cat and I are lucky in that respect. We have, or had, amazing assistants." Seeing the time, Lena slid into her coat. "Shall we?"

Rounding the corner, Lena sighed in disappointment. "I didn't expect a huge crowd because of my brother but I hoped there would be more than twenty people."

"You've got this." I stood to the side as Lena approached the podium. I nodded towards Alex when she came into view. Giving Lena a thumb up, I smiled.

"Thank you all for coming today. My family owes a debt to National City and Metropolis. By renaming my company L-Corp, I hope to usher in a new era. One that-," Two explosions erupted behind the podium raining pieces of glass and concrete into the plaza.

Chaos ensued as the people who came started to panic. Changing quickly, I helped Lena to safety. James and other officers helped people get out of the plaza safely. I did what I could to keep citizens from being trampled.

Finding Alex, she was fighting a man who had kicked her gun away. As I landed, two shots fired into him as he loomed over my sister, gun in hand. Looking in the direction of the shots, I was shocked to see Lena. Pressing on the man's wounds, Alex smirked. "Thanks. Can one of you call for an ambulance?"

"Of course." Releasing the magazine, Lena tossed it to me and emptied the chamber in a matter of seconds. Glancing towards Alex, I tried keeping a straight face. Pulling out her phone, Lena dialed 9-1-1. "This is Lena Luthor. A man has been shot and needs medical attention. Police have already arrived. The L-Corp Plaza. Thank you." Ending the call, the brunette studied us. "What?"

"Agent Danvers. I would shake your hand but…" Alex motioned towards the bleeding man. "I appreciate your help."

Lena's brow rose. "Danvers? As in…"

"Yes. Can the three of us talk later?" Turning her attention towards me, she continued. "Thank you, Supergirl."

"Of course." As police and paramedics approached, I flew off to see if I was needed elsewhere.

Once everyone was cleared out, I stayed to help the construction workers make the area safe for civilians if they crossed the tape line. The process went quickly since I could move the busted concrete with ease. Landing, I smiled at the workers. "Is there anything else I can help you guys with?"

"I think that's it." One man wiped sweat from his forehead. "Thank you, Supergirl. My sister was here and you saved her from being trampled when her heel broke." He paused, shaking his head. "I don't see how people can walk in high heels let alone run in them."

"It can be hard sometimes." I laughed, clicking my heel against the ground. "Have a good rest of your day. Thank you for helping!" With that, I flew off.

Landing behind CatCo, I changed into civilian clothes and ruffled my hair. Exiting the elevator, I could hear Miss Grant demanding to know where I was. "I'm here!" I made my way into the office. "I got trapped in some rubble and Supergirl had to get me out."

"Are you alright?" James asked, trying to back up my story. "I saw you and then the bombs went off."

"Yes, I'm fine." Turning towards Miss Grant, I fixed my glasses. "I'll have coverage notes on your desk tomorrow. I overheard Supergirl say that Lena Luthor saved an officer."

"How'd she do that?" Miss Grant's brow rose.

"She shot him. I can add it to my notes and you can ask Supergirl for clarification. Or I can. Either is fine."

"I'll do that." Miss Grant studied me. "You look disheveled. Did you get checked out before coming here?"

"No. I came here straight away."

"Get checked out and I'll see you in the morning."

"Thank you, Miss Grant."

Before I got to the elevator, James caught up. "Who did she save?"

"Alex," I whispered.

"Oh, wow. Maybe she is different."

The doors opened and I stepped inside. "She definitely is. Give her a chance." The doors closed before my words could fully process on the man's face.

Meeting Alex, we made our way to L-Corp. "Did the guy survive?"

"Yes. Your girlfriend is a damn good shot. Two non lethal shots without much thought. Not many can do that."

"Alex!" I looked around to make sure no one overheard. "She's not my girlfriend."

"Yet," my sister smirked knowingly.

Arriving at Lena's office, we were met by Jess. "Oh, Kara! I'm glad you're safe. Miss Luthor said you were fine but I was still worried when you didn't come back with her."

"Yup. I'm fine." I smiled, rubbing the back of my neck. "Nothing I can't handle. Can we go on in?"

"Yes. Miss Luthor gave everyone the rest of the day off to make sure our loved ones are okay. I was about to leave."

"That's nice of her," Alex mumbled.

"She's a great boss. See you next time, Kara."

"Bye." We watched as Jess made her way to the elevators.

"Even her assistant likes you," Alex smirked.

"I'm a very likable person," I joked.

"As long as you're not hungry," Alex muttered.

Lena was ending a phone call as we entered the office. "Hey," she smiled. "Did you get everything sorted with Cat?"

"I did. She might call you for a source."

"Nothing I can't handle." Lena's gaze moved towards Alex.

"So," I motioned towards the older woman. "This is my big sister."

Lena held out her hand. "It's nice to meet you. I'll answer any questions you or the authorities have."

"Nice to meet the woman who makes my sister pace her apartment in a flustered tizzy," Alex grinned.

"Flustered tizzy?" Lena grinned. "I need details."

"No! No, you don't." Both women laughed. Maybe this was a bad idea. I'm going to be red the rest of my life if these two team up to pick on me.

"I'm glad you're both safe. The man I shot, is he going to make it? Is it safe to assume he's connected to Lex?"

"Yes to both." Alex hooked her thumbs into her belt loops. "We believe he's the only one currently."

"We're keeping an eye on everyone who could be tied to your brother," I added.

"Then I'm in good hands," Lena nodded. "Thank you both."

Stepping away, Alex clicked her earpiece. "Danvers."

"Were any employees hurt?" I took a step closer to the brunette.

"No, thankfully. I let everyone leave early if they wanted to check on friends or family who may have been at the ceremony or surrounding area."

"That's what Jess said as we arrived." Hearing a commotion outside, I turned as Alex drew her gun. "Get down!"

The door to Lena's office was pulled from its hinges and thrown aside. A half man half cyborg walked in. His robotic eye locked onto Lena. Picking up the door, he threw it towards us. Blocking it, I pushed it aside as I closed the distance between us.

Getting him out of the office, I kept blocking his attacks. Now that I'm away from Alex and Lena, I don't have to worry about hurting them. "Who sent you?" I demanded. Switching to offense, I did my best to gain ground. He's strong! Catching my arm, I cried out as my shoulder was dislocated.

As if called, the cyborg released me and ran. Breaking a nearby window, he lept from it. Getting to the window, I saw him scale his way down the building and into the night. Holding my shoulder, I winced. Ow. This really hurts.

"Supergirl!" Alex and Lena came racing down the hallway.

Carefully, Lena wrapped her arms around me. "I'm glad you're okay."

"My shoulder is dislocated but other than that, I'm fine." Nuzzling the woman's shoulder, I melted into the embrace. "I need a sun lamp but-," Stepping back, I looked towards a worried brunette. "I can't…" Crap. I'm not making sense. "Alex, that's the second time today," I pleaded. Let the sister mind reading work. Please.

"What?" Lena glanced between us. "Why are the two of you looking at me like that?"

"Space Dad is going to kill us," Alex sighed. "But first, let's get your shoulder back in place."

"Who?" Lena questioned.
