After Mrs. Cutter left, Lily looked at the clock and estimated the time difference. Realizing that her parents were probably in bed, she decided to mirror them in the morning. She put the mirror in her desk drawer. The mirror was an invention of her grandfather potter and his friends, Remus Lupin, Sirius Black, and the traitor-Peter Pettigrew. Harry had found the workup for the mirrors in the potter family vault several years back, and had Aunt Hermione do the work on several mirrors. It was done by runes, and Father had never taken Ancient Runes, so had no clue what to do, so he had Aunt Hermione do it for him. He had one made for everyone in the family, and if you needed to talk to someone, you just said their name, and it would notify that person's mirror.

Lily was just gathering up her things for a shower, when she heard the mirror ping. Lily opened the desk drawer and saw her cousin, Hugo's face. Lily said, "Hugo, what are you doing up this late?"

Hugo said, "I wanted to make sure my favorite cousin made it to school alright."

Lily smiled and said, "Of course."

Hugo said, "Okay. I can't wait to read your letter telling us all about yoru journey and the sorting. So, make any friends?"

Lily said, "Of course. I met a girl in Boston, named Renee Murphy, we actually met several of her family, and then on the train I met a muggle-born named Julia Donaldson. Though I like the term they use over here for that. They call them first-gens here."

Hugo said, "I definitely like that better! So what's the housing like?"

Lily and Hugo went onto talk for about half hour, before Lily told him that he should get some sleep and she didn't want him to get into trouble with Aunt Hermione for being up late. Hugo smiled and said good-night. Lily quickly showered, and then sat back down at her desk and wrote a letter home describing the journey to get to Ilvermorny, her sorting, the housing, and then the different sports that they had to offer. After signing off, Lily saw that it was almost nine-thirty. Lily got up and stretched. She opened the window about halfway, so that Belle could come in when she arrived.

Lily climbed into her bed, and fell asleep right away. Belle soared in sometime during the night, and fell asleep on her perch.

The next morning, Lily's alarm went off at 6 am. Lily smiled to herself and sat up on the edge of her bed. She noticed Belle on her perch, and went over to her. She stroked the owl's head, and said, "Hey girl. Glad you made it safely. You rest up today, and when your ready, I have a letter for you to take back to mother and father."

Belle hooted. Lily smiled as she changed into a set of everyday clothes. Since it was the weekend, they weren't required to wear their uniforms. Lily went downstairs and saw that Julia was sitting in one of the airmchairs reading a book.

Lily went over to her and said, "How'd you sleep?"

Julia looked up and said, "Badly. I miss my home, my horse, and family."

Lily said, "I can understand that." Julia warmed up at that. Lily said, "Let's go have some breakfast."

Julia smiled. She marked her page, and said she'll be right back. Lily smiled at her friend. Julia soon returned. As they were heading up to the school, Lily heard her name called. She turned and saw Emily and Renee walking towards her. Lily smiled.

Renee said, "Was wondering if you were up."
Lily said, "I figured I might as well get used to the early schedule."

Julia said, "I'm used to be up at the crack of dawn for chores before school."

Emily said, "So, what are you plans for today?"

Lily said, "I was thinking about just lounging around. Maybe mapping out the best routes to my classes."

Emily smiled. They entered the dining hall and found that not many people were there that early. They found a table and ordered their food. Julia enthralled the girls with what it was like growing up on the farm.

Emily turned to Renee and said when Julia was done talking, "Did you hear? Grandfather has a lead on his sisters."

Renee said, "Father told me yesterday before getting us on the train. I hope he finds them, especially for great-grandmother. Grandfather fears that she doesn't have much time left."

Lily said, "What happened to his sisters?"

Emily said, "As you know, my grandfather was sent here to America in the 70s during the first wizarding war in Great Britain. Before he was born, his parents had two girls, Petunia and Lily. When Petunia was 2 and Lily was just a few months old, great-grandmother and great-grandfather feared for their lives, as great-grandfather was a seer and he had a vision where they would be killed. They thought the only option for the girls was to put them up in a non-magical orphanage for adoption. Afterwards, they regretted their decision, but by the time they tried to track them down again, the girls were adopted into a loving family. The orphanage wouldn't even tell them to whom. Then my grandfather came along a few years later. They raised him, and then sent him here to Ilvermorny to get his education as it was the middle of the war. Thankfully they were never attacked."

Lily said, "I'm sorry to hear that."

'Strange that my grandmother's name is Lily and cousin Dudley's mother's name is Petunia,' thought Lily. 'Maybe its just a coincidence.'

Renee said, "When great-grandfather was dying, he told grandfather the truth. He asked him to swear that he would never stop looking for his sisters and give them each a letter."

Lily said, "I hope he succeeds."

Emily said, "We all do. It would be neat to have an even bigger family."

Henry came in and sat down. He said, "Talking about grandfather's search. Mother told me that the girls' got the last name of Evans."

Lily choked on her drink. Renee thumped her on the back. She said, "Are you okay?"

Lily nodded.

Henry said, "Do you know of any Evans', Lily?"

Lily slowly nodded. She said, "I can't talk here. Meet me in the library in two hours."

Emily said, "There are meeting rooms there. We will secure some. I want to double check my summer homework anyways."

Henry rolled his eyes.

After they parted, Lily ran back to her building. Julia and Renee trying to keep up. Lily had them stay in the common room. Julia took the time to go up to her room to gather some books to study.

Up in her room, Lily closed her door and locked it. She pulled out her mirror and said, "Harry Potter."

After a few minutes, father's face came in the mirror. He said, "Lily! How was your first night at Ilvermorny?"

Lily said, "Fantastic father. Father, what do you know about Aunt Petunia and Grandmother Lily's history with the Evans?"

Father said, "Hmm, it was a lovely family dynamic from what I understood from Aunt Petunia, even though Petunia was jealous of her sister, my mother. Why?"

Lily said, "What is the possibility that there is another Evans family with the same childrens' names as Aunt Petunia and Grandma Lily?"

Father said, "Slim to none. Why?"

Lily said, "One more question. What are the chances that they could've been adopted?"

Father's face blanched. He said, "Lily, what is going on?"

Lily said, "I've made friends with Renee Murphy. Her and her sister were talking at breakfast about their grandfather's search for his long lost sister's that his parents put up for adoption during the first war with Voldemort. They mentioned the names Petunia and Lily. Then their cousin, Henry came and mentioned that they were adopted by a family with the surname of Evans."

Father said, "It can't be a coincidence. I'll head to Gringotts and see about an inheritance test. That would explain a lot. Iris Dursley will be joining the Hogwarts first-years this year."

Lily said, "Oh my. So, if this is what it means, Aunt Petunia was born a squib along with Dudley, but it was returned in Iris."

Father agreed.

Lily said, "What should I tell the Murphys here at school?"

Father said, "Tell them what you want, but ask them not to tell Mr. Murphy until I can talk to Gringotts. The inheritance test is something that they just came up with to help find long lost families that had been thought to have died out. Your Aunt Hermione just found out she was from one of those herself."

Lily was shocked. She said, "How far back?"

Father said, "Several generations. As soon as I'm done here, I'll head to Gringotts. So, what kind of wand did you get?"

Lily said, "Elm wood with a Horned Serpent Scale core."

Father said, "Sounds like a beautiful wand. I can't wait to see it. What house?"

Lily said, "Father, about the houses. I wrote you a detailed letter, but I'll summarize what happened. I was chosen by all four houses."

Father was flabbergasted. He said recalling what Mr. Murphy told him, "But that's rare! Which house did you choose?"

Lily said, "Horned Serpent."

Father said, "Nice, Lily. I've got to go. Love you and I look forward to reading your letter."

Lily smiled. Afterwards, Lily thought long and hard about what she would tell Emily, Henry, and Renee. It was a strong possibility that they were related. She grabbed her bag and put somethings in it she would need to study with. Lily even pocketed the mirror, which had an unbreakable charm on it.

In the Renee and Julia were waiting on her. Renee raised and eyebrow. Lily said, "I'll say it when we get to the library. I don't want to repeat myself."

Renee nodded.

In the library, they quickly found Henry and Emily in one of the study rooms. Once they were inside, Emily activated the silencing charms on the room.

She said turning to Lily, "Okay, speak."

Lily told them what she knew. They were all dumbfounded.

Emily said, "Let me get this straight. Your father's mother, who was the famous Lily Potter who saved her son from Voldemort by sacrificing herself, was before she married James Potter, Lily Evans and she has a sister named Petunia?"

Lily nodded.

Renee said, "But Petunia has no magic?"

Lily said, "Nope, and neither does her son apparently, however, Dudley's oldest daughter, Iris is a witch."

Emily said, "What is the odds of this happening?"

Lily said, "I do not know. Father is going to go to Gringotts as soon as he can and take an inheritance test. Apparently they developed it recently so that they can find lost families. My Aunt Hermione is part of one of those families that had thought to be extinct."

Henry said, "If I remember correctly, your Aunt Hermione's maiden name was Granger."

Lily nodded. Her father's friends were just as famous as he is as they helped him bring the downfall of Voldemort. They had even been coined as the "Golden Trio."

Emily said, "Do you know what family?"

Lily shook her head.

After about an hour and a half of talking and studying ahead, Lily's mirror pinged. Everyone was startled at the noise. Lily pulled out her mirror and saw a message on the mirror, 'Confirmed by test. May tell friends. I will contact Belinda and Mr. Murphy.'

Lily sighed.

Emily said, "What is that little gadget you've got there?"

Lily said, "It's a communication mirror. My grandfather Potter and his friends invented them at Hogwarts back in the 70s. I've got news for you guys."

Renee and Henry both looked up from their books. Henry was in the middle of redoing his Potions essay. Lily rubbed her neck, nervously.

It was Renee who broke the silence. She said, "Your father found out that we are related."
Emily and Henry were shocked.
