Mrs. Cutter knocked on the Principle office door. She was then bid to enter. Mrs. Allen looked up and said, "Wilma, how nice to see you. Don't you have office hours right now?"

Mrs. Cutter said, "I normally do, but we have an issue already, Sara."

Mrs. Allen said, "We're not even a week in yet. Have a seat and tell me what's going on."

Mrs. Cutter sat down and said, "Lily Potter came to see me after breakfast this morning. I'm her dorm mother. She received this letter this morning from Mr. Thompson."

Mrs. Allen was puzzled. She took the letter and replied after reading it, "That is disturbing. I did let him know what our rules were when we met over the summer when he accepted the position of third year charms."

Mrs. Cutter said, "With Ms. Potter being a foreign student, I'm concerned for her. We don't get many here at Ilvermorny, and we want her to feel at home here."

Mrs. Allen said, "Yep. I'm glad that she has made friends with Ms. Murphy and her family. I'll speak to Mr. Thompson about this. Its possible he may have forgotten, but it still needs to be addressed."

Mrs. Cutter said, "Also, maybe an announcement at suppertime concerning that if they were asked to meet with teachers outside of office hours/detentions, especially if they aren't any of their own teachers, they need to let the house parent or you know about the issue. This may not be an isolated incident, Sara. The first-gens may not know about certain things."

Mrs. Allen said, "True. I'll think on it. I've been looking into why Ms. Potter was accepted here at the request of her parents. As you know most foreign students have to submit their names to be accepted here, and Mr. Potter told me that they were expecting her to go to Hogwarts."

Mrs. Cutter said, "Then why send her here?"

Mrs. Allen said, "They liked our course offerings, plus Ms. Potter I think wanted to get out from her parents' shadows."

Mrs. Cutter said, "I don't blame her none. Having one famous parent can be cumbersome at times I'm sure, but imagine having two!"

Mrs. Allen nodded. She said, "Thank you for brining this to my attention."

After Mrs. Cutter left, Mrs. Allen sighed. She was hoping this year would be different. Every year it seemed that there was something. Usually it dealt with the sports rivalries. After their previous third year charms teacher had to leave due to family issues, Mrs. Allen had to find a replacement and quickly, so she was able to vet the teacher as she normally did. She was trying to get the paperwork through for that, but there was a lot of red tape. Mrs. Allen decided wrote a note to Mr. Thompson asking him to come to her office during his free period. She put it in her out tray and typed the rune for Mr. Thompson's classroom.

That evening, Mrs. Cutter called a dorm meeting. She said, "There has been an issue brought to light this morning that needs to be addressed. If anyone outside of me approaches you that isn't your teacher, and wants to have a chat privately, please let me or Mrs. Allen know immediately. This morning a teacher sent a note to one of our first years students of Ilvermorny. That teacher overstepped their bounds by requesting a meeting to see how they were doing. Only Mrs. Allen or I have the rights to do that as you are females. If any male teachers or even females act towards you inappropriately, let us know immediately! Ilvermorny is meant to be your home while you are at school which means you are meant to be comfortable here."

One of the older years raised her hand and said, "What happened to the teacher, Mrs. Cutter?"

Mrs. Cutter said, "He's been put on a probationary period which is the norm. If he does it again, he will be let go. We take pride in protecting our students from harm."

"Are we allowed to know who it was?"

Mrs. Cutter said, "Not at this time. Just keep your eyes an dears open for anything unusual."

The rest of the week, Lily, Renee, and Julia met either in the courtyard or the library to do their homework together after classes or supper. They were joined by Deidra, Brandy, and a first-year boy, Anthony Thompson. Lily recognized his name in that her roommates mentioned that he was the another person that was chosen by all four houses.

Lily said, "What house are you in Anthony?"
Anthony looked up and blushed. He said, "I chose Thunderbird. Kinda upset my parents who were Wampuses and Horned Serpent respectively, but I went with my heart."

Renee said, "As you should."

Anthony said, "They are proud of me though. Apparently its rare that someone is chosen by all four houses."

Renee said, "It is. Even more rare for it to happen twice in the same generation."

Anthony nodded looking at Lily. Lily hid her face behind her book. She hated the attention that she got for being chosen by all four houses, but Lily also couldn't help but notice how cute he looked.

On Friday morning, Belle swooped in with a letter tied to her leg. Lily squealed with delight knowing that she had an answer from her parents. After untying the letter, Lily gave her a piece of bacon and thanked her. Belle took off to rest while Lily tore open the letter. Renee giggled.

Dearest Lily,

Your mother and I are pleased to hear that you are settling in alright at Ilvermorny. Your brothers are busy trying to finish up their summer homework that they didn't get to over the summer, much to your mother's chagrin. We are doing alright here. I have spoken with Mrs. Murphy and told her what I have found out. She is pleased that she was able to meet me and that we are related. Aunt Petunia is refusing to see her, which I can understand.

What you tell us about Ilvermorny is very interesting. Congrats on being chosen by all four houses. The way you make it sound, it is a unique occurrence. We are sure that you chose the right house for you even though by the sounds of it, you are not having classes with just your house and living with them like we did at Hogwarts. This makes me wonder what they use the house system for. Maybe you can enlighten us. Your wand sounds beautiful, I can't wait to see it. The dormitories are set up uniquely, but I am glad that they are keeping the boys away from the girls dormitories.

I hope you are doing well in your classes. If you need anything, don't forget the mirror!

Love,

Father, Mother, James, and Albus

Lily smiled. Her brothers were always ones to wait til the last minute to do their homework. She was glad that she was like her mother in that way that she didn't. Apparently her father was the same way in school as her brothers, but her Aunt Hermione said that was mostly due to the influence of Uncle Ron.

With that thought, Lily gathered up her books for her morning classes and went to class. She was eager to learn her first foreign language.
