The accident
Berk, a home for Vikings and dragons, they passed through rough times in the past, but now one year after the war with the Berserkers they are finally in peace
Alvin the Treacherous is now an ally and no one has heard anything about the Screaming Death
One afternoon at academy, Blake was holding three pieces of scrap metal as he walked towards the center of the academy
Not too far away his Skrill, Thunder was waiting for him to arrive
"Okay. Ready, Thunder?" Blake asked, so Thunder nodded as an answer
Blake quickly threw the scrap metal up and Thunder shot a lightning blast, it hit one piece of the scrap metal but the other two attracted some of the electricity and were hit too
"Nice work, Thunder" Blake said as he walked towards his dragon "Keep it up and I'll give you two baskets of mutton for dinner"
Those words really excited Thunder, so he gave Blake puppy eyes trying to convince him to give him the mutton anyways
"Thunder, we've been through this, puppy eyes don't work on me and they don't look good on you either" Blake said, so Thunder looked away and grunted angrily "Toothless taught you how to do that, didn't he?"
Thunder didn't know what to do since Blake was right, so he gave an awkward smile
"It doesn't matter, let's just go back" Blake said as he got on Thunder's back
A few minutes later, they landed at the forge where Gobber was giving an axe to a Viking
"I see you two are back from your training" Gobber said
"Yeah, it was a bit faster than I expected" Blake said before realizing Gobber was standing next to a pile of weapons "Wait, aren't those the weapons I made when Alvin returned?"
"Indeed. They've been locked up for a while, so I thought I'd give them a use" Gobber said
"Sorry about that, I wasn't thinking straight back then" Blake apologized
"It's okay, when I'm angry I also like to make weapons to get it all out" Gobber said "By the way, why do you always go training? Don't you take a break?"
"Well, it's a good way too keep me busy and it doesn't seem to bother Thunder" Blake said gesturing at Thunder "But you're right, I think I should take a break"
Then, a roar was heard just before Hiccup and Toothless landed outside of the forge
"Blake, we need your help" Hiccup said
"To much for taking a break" Blake muttered "Sure, what's going on?"
"Some of the animals escaped the farm and a storm is incoming, you, Astrid and I need to find them while the others take the remaining animals to the Great Hall for their safety" Hiccup explained
Blake nodded without hesitation and got on Thunder's back before flying off
Minutes later, Hiccup, Astrid and Blake were flying above the forest looking for the missing animals but they weren't having any luck
"Has anyone seen anything?" Hiccup asked
"Nothing here" Blake said
"I see something down there!" Astrid said pointing down
Hiccup and Blake looked down and saw two chickens, so they flew down and grabbed them before they could escape
"What other animals are missing?" Blake asked
"Three sheep and two yaks" Astrid said just before a thunder was heard
"We better find them quick" Blake said as it began to rain
"Sure, but maybe we should take these chickens back to the Great Hall" Hiccup suggested
"You guys take them, Thunder and I will look for the missing animals" Blake said
"Are you sure? The storm is staring to get worse" Astrid said
"Don't worry, Thunder knows how to fly through storms" Blake said, so Thunder nodded proudly
Then, Blake gave Astrid the chicken he had and flew off
"Alright, Thunder, let's find those animals" Blake said
They continued to fly around the island but they weren't able to find one, they looked inside the cove and even inside some caves but there wasn't any sign of an animal
"Where could those animals be? We looked everywhere" Blake said before he saw some lightning "We have to go back, there's nothing else we can do"
Thunder couldn't agree more, he was used to flying through storms but he still knew it was dangerous for his rider
They flew off back to the village but… as they were flying a lightning hit a tree that was near them creating a small explosion
Thunder was taken by surprise and lost control over his flight and crashed, he quickly got up and began to look for his rider
It didn't take him long to find Blake but he was left unconscious because of the crash. Thunder without options, he dragged him to as he tried to look for shelter
It didn't matter what he had to do, Thunder would protect his rider with his life
Meanwhile at the Great Hall, all of Berk's Vikings and some dragons took shelter there
Stoick was trying to keep everyone calm until he heard the door open when Hiccup and Astrid entered
"Hiccup, I'm glad you're here" Stoick said as he walked toward his son
"Yeah, and we brought the missing chickens" Hiccup said as he and Astrid placed the chickens down
"However, we weren't able to find the missing sheep and yaks" Astrid said
"Blake chose to continue to look for them" Hiccup said
"Uh… speaking of that…" Fishlegs said nervously as he, the twins and Snotlout walked towards them
"What is it, Fishlegs?" Hiccup asked
"Well… uh…" Fishlegs hesitated
"We found the sheep and the yaks in our way here" Snotlout said gesturing at said animals
"What?!" Hiccup asked
"Yeah, they were running around the village like Tuffnut when he's left alone in the dark" Ruffnut laughed
"That's right" Tuffnut said before realizing what Ruffnut said "Wait, what?"
"Anyway, we should've told you but… we kinda forgot" Snotlout said, so Stoick glared at him "But… what does it matter? You're here and you brought the chickens"
"Blake is still out there looking for the yaks and sheep" Hiccup said as he got on Toothless' back "Stay here, we'll look for him"
"Sorry, son but you can't go out now, it's really dangerous" Stoick said placing a hand on Hiccup's shoulder
"Besides, you know Blake, he's probably on his way here" Fishlegs said
"And Thunder is with him" Astrid said
"The only thing we can do now is wait for the storm to pass" Stoick said
Hiccup didn't like the idea but he knew he didn't have a choice
"You're right, I just hope he's okay" Hiccup said
"Please, stop whining, he'll be perfectly fine" Snotlout said
Time passed and the storm didn't stop until the next morning, the first thing Hiccup did after the storm ended was getting on Toothless' back and go out to look for Blake
Meanwhile with Thunder, he was able to drag Blake into a cave and tried to keep him warm in the cold night
When he woke up, Thunder exited the cave and began to roar hoping to get someone's attention
At the sky, Hiccup and Toothless were able to hear the roars
"Hear that, bud? That sounds like Thunder" Hiccup said
They followed the sound of the roars and arrived at the cave where Thunder was, he quickly took them into the cave where Blake was still unconscious
"Blake! Blake!" Hiccup said as he shook Blake trying to wake him up but it didn't work
Then, Hiccup carried Blake on his back and began to walk back to the village
It took him a while but he managed to do it, when he arrived, he also noticed all of the Vikings were returning to their homes
Hiccup took Blake to the forge where Gobber was cleaning the mess the storm left
"Hiccup, what happened to Blake?" Gobber said as he took Blake on his arms
"I don't know, I found him like that inside a cave, Thunder must've taken him there" Hiccup said
After taking Blake to his room, Gobber left Blake so he could rest, Hiccup was about to do the same until he heard a groan, it was Blake who began to wake up
"Auch, my head" Blake said as he opened his eyes and sat on his bed not noticing Hiccup "Wait, this isn't Outcast Island, where am I?"
"Uh… Blake?" Hiccup called a bit confused
When Blake saw him, he quickly got up and prepared himself to fight if it was necessary
"Who are you? how do you know my name? Answer me!" Blake said
Then, Thunder entered the room and when he saw Blake awake, he happily walked towards him but Blake reacted by looking for a weapon and he only found his spear, so he pointed it at Thunder
"Stay away from me, dragon" Blake said
Thunder didn't understand what was happening, so he stopped and looked sadly looked at Blake
"Tell, where am I before I pierce your heart with his spear" Blake said looking angrily at Hiccup
"Whoa, take it easy. It's me Hiccup, don't you recognize me? And you're at Berk, you've lived here for a while" Hiccup asked
"I don't know anyone with the name of 'Hiccup'" Blake said before seeing his reflect on his spear, that's when he realized his left eye was grey "What happened to me? You did this to me when you kidnapped me from my home?!"
"No, I didn't kidnap you" Hiccup said
"Then, why do you know my name?" Blake asked as looked like he was about to attack Hiccup at any second "If you know my name that must mean you know who I am, and I'm the son of Alvin the Treacherous and heir of the Outcasts"
"It's okay, we can talk this out" Hiccup said
"Leave" Blake said but neither Hiccup or Thunder moved "Are you deaf? I said leave!"
Not wanting to make Blake angrier, Hiccup and Thunder left him alone in his room
He was walking outside of the forge but he saw the other teens walking towards him
"Hiccup, Gobber told us you found Blake" Astrid said
"How is he?" Fishelgs asked
"Did he got hit by a lightning?" Tuffnut asked
"Was he hit by an explosion?" Ruffnut asked
"Well, he's not injured, so that's good" Hiccup said
"See? I told you he was going to be fine" Snotlout said smugly
"Actually, I don't think he's completely fine" Hiccup said
"What do you mean?" Snotlout asked
"When he woke up, he got confused because he wasn't at Outcast Island, he didn't recognize me and he even pointed his spear at Thunder" Hiccup said
"What? that doesn't sound like something Blake would do" Astrid said
"I know, I'm just as confused as you are" Hiccup said
"Um… guys… I don't want to drop to conclusions but don't you think…" Fishlegs hesitated
"The lightning that hit him made him recover all of his lost memories" Tuffnut said
"While making him forget all of his memories of Berk" Ruffnut said
Everyone looked at the twins, surprised that they were able to get that conclusion and that fast
"Why are you looking at us like that?" Ruffnut asked
"It's pretty obvious if you ask us" Tuffnut said
"Actually, that makes a bit of sense" Snotlout said
"I know it sounds crazy but… I think they're right" Astrid said
"I'm aware that could be what's happening but I'm not completely sure" Hiccup said
"So, what should we do?" Fishlegs asked
"We'll have to wait and see" Hiccup said
Back with Blake, he was sitting at the edge of his bed with a pretty bad headache
"Why does my head hurt so much?! Why hasn't it stopped since that 'Hiccup' and that dragon left?!" Blake asked as he took some deep breaths
"How could I have ended here? The last thing I remember was talking with my father before feeling an incredible pain in the back of my head" Blake said
Then, he got up and walked towards the entrance of his room, he opened the door and picked over the edge and saw how the other teens flew away on their dragons
"They ride dragons?!" Blake said before entering his room once again and closing the door "That's impossible!"
He suddenly fell to his knees when his headache got worse but he managed to get up and continued walking
"I guess I'm now a prisoner here" Blake said as he laid down on his bed "They must have taken me prisoner to force my father to surrender"
"But I still don't understand, why did they look… familiar?" Blake asked before placing his hands on his head "When will this headache stop?!"
After at least ten more minutes, the headache disappeared allowing Blake to fall asleep as he kept his spear close just in case one of the dragons tried to attack him
A/n: Hi, I'm back and I've brought you the first chapter for this story, I know this chapter is short, I'll try to make the next chapters longer but I think it works as an introduction for the story
