At the academy, the teens and their dragons reunited in order to discuss what to do with Blake and his… situation

Even Thunder was there but he was laying down at the other side of the academy looking really sad

"We need to find a way to bring Blake's memories of Berk back" Hiccup said

"I know what to do!" Tuffnut said "All we need to do is hit him so hard with a mace that he remembers us"

"No one is hitting no one!" Astrid scolded Tuffnut "That would only make things worse"

"She's right, we could only make Blake's condition worse and there's no guarantee that'll possibly help" Hiccup said

"But I already got the perfect plan" Ruffnut complained

"Let me guess, hit him with a rock" Snotlout said unamused

"Exactly" Ruffnut said

"We could take him with Gothi, she might find a way to make him remember" Fishlegs suggested

"Sorry, Fishlegs, but Blake once went with her in order to see if she could help him but she couldn't" Hiccup said "We need something that might trigger any of his memories back"

"You know, when Alvin first attacked, somehow he was able to trigger Blake's memories by telling him that he was his father" Astrid said

"So, that's exactly what we need to do" Hiccup said

"What do you mean?" Snotlout asked

"His memories are still in there, what we need to show Blake how much has changed his life" Hiccup said "It doesn't matter what he remembers, that'll be our staring point"

"And if I'm not mistaken, when he's starting to remember he has a headache. Has he had any since he woke up?" Fishlegs asked

Hiccup thought for a moment before talking

"He had one but I'm not sure if it was because he was trying to remember of it was because he hit his head" Hiccup said

"So… we're not going to hit him in the head?" Tuffnut asked

"No!" Hiccup, Astrid and Fishlegs said

"Just wanted to make sure" Tuffnut said

"Is the idea still on the table?" Ruffnut asked but no one said anything

"I'll bring Blake here, maybe we could start by reminding him he's a dragon rider" Hiccup said before getting on Toothless' back and flying off

Meanwhile with Blake, he woke up feeling slightly better but he still was tired for not sleeping well

"At least my head doesn't hurt anymore" Blake groaned as he got up before looking at his surroundings "I'm still here, I was hoping I was delirious because of that hit on my head"

Then, he noticed how someone was opening the door, so he grabbed his spear in order to defend himself but he calmed down a bit when he saw Hiccup

"Oh, it's you" Blake said

"Hey, Blake… how are you feeling?" Hiccup asked

"I'm fine, considering I'm a prisoner in this island and I have nothing to do but to stare at the ceiling in this cell" Blake said

"This is not even a cell" Hiccup said "This is your room in Berk, your home"

"Well, for me this is a cell and this is not my home" Blake said as he gave a step forward "I wasn't born here, I wasn't raised here and my father doesn't life here, therefore this is not my home"

Hiccup wasn't sure of what to do, he needed to take Blake to the academy in order to start with his plan but he wasn't going to cooperate

Without much choices, Hiccup decided to play along with Blake

"You know, you're right, you're now our prisoner but my father, the chief, gave you the chance to be one of us" Hiccup said but it sounded more like he was trying to convince himself

"And if I reject the offer?" Blake asked

"Well, you'll be food for the dragons" Hiccup said "All I'm asking you is to come with me, so what do you say?"

"As if I had a choice" Blake sighed annoyed "I'll go but don't think I'm happy with it"

They quickly left the room as Hiccup thanked in his mind all the gods that he could for making Blake believe his lie. However, when Blake saw Toothless, his eyes widened in shock and gave a few steps backwards

"Is that… a Night Fury?!" Blake asked

"Yeah, meet Toothless, the only known Night Fury" Hiccup said

"Toothless?" Blake asked before placing his hand on his forehead with a headache but it quickly disappeared

"Are you okay?" Hiccup asked

"How I am feeling it's none of your business" Blake said "Anyway, where are you even taking me? To the execution room?"

"We don't really execute people or dragons here" Hiccup said

"Then, how do you get rid of enemies? Killing them is the only way to guarantee their defeat" Blake said coldly

That really took Hiccup off guard, he never expected words like that to come out of Blake's mouth

"Just come with me, would you?" Hiccup asked pretending to be annoyed as he got Toothless' back

"Stop right there, we're riding on that thing?!" Blake asked

"Yeah, it's the fastest way" Hiccup said but Blake was still hesitating "Don't worry, he doesn't bite"

"I don't know how is it supposed to do it if it doesn't have teeth" Blake said

"He has teeth actually" Hiccup said, so Toothless showed Blake his teeth

"Then why… ugh it doesn't matter" Blake groaned annoyed. It took him a few attempts but he managed to get on Toothless' back

"Okay, hold on" Hiccup said before Toothless flew off

Blake's first instinct was to grab on to something, so he squeezed Hiccup's shoulders and closed his eyes

Hiccup definitely recognized the grip from Alvin

"Hey, it's okay, you can open your eyes" Hiccup said, so Blake slowly opened his eyes

"Wow… I… I must say it… it's amazing" Blake said

Hiccup gave Toothless some head pats, he understood the message and took another route to the academy

Toothless flew above the forest, allowing Blake to see the beautiful sight but he got another headache

Hiccup noticed this and he smiled thinking that Blake was starting to remember but he shook his head and the headache disappeared

Hiccup sighed disappointed but he knew he had to continue

Then, Toothless flew close to the sea, so Blake stretched his hand and touched it but he quickly pulled it back

Finally, Toothless flew back to the island and landed outside of the academy

"That… that was something I never expected to see" Blake said as he got off Toothless' back

"Yeah, the first time it's something you never forget" Hiccup said as he also got off Toothless' back

"So, why did you bring me here?" Blake asked

"Like I told you, you're now going to be one of us and you must meet the others" Hiccup said as he walked into the academy

"Ugh, how annoying" Blake groaned as he followed Hiccup

They entered the academy where the other teens were waiting

"Wait here, I need to talk with other others first" Hiccup said

"It's not like I could go anywhere else, with your Night Fury you'll be able to catch up with me in no time" Blake said, before Hiccup walked towards the other teens

"Hiccup, you were really able to bring him" Fishlegs said

"Yeah, it wasn't easy but I managed to trick him into coming" Hiccup said

"And why were you flying around the island?" Astrid said

"I tried to make him remember but it didn't work" Hiccup said with a sigh "But for a moment, he looked like he was about to remember"

"So, what do we do now?" Fishlegs asked

"Well, Blake believes he's been taken prisoner from Outcast Island but my dad gave him the chance to be one of us" Hiccup explained

"And how are we supposed to do that? He's too loyal to Alvin to betray him" Snotlout asked

"How about we show him the basics on dragon riding?" Fishlegs suggested "That way he'll start to remember"

"Good idea" Hiccup said "Let's make sure to play along"

Then, they walked towards Blake, who was leaning against the wall as he waited

"Blake, let me introduce to the other members of the academy" Hiccup said gesturing at the other teens "Astrid, Fishlegs, Snotlout and the twins Tuffnut and Ruffnut"

"Don't expect us to go easy on you" Astrid said

Fishlegs didn't say anything, he just waved him a "hi" with his hand

"So, you want to be one of us, huh? Well, I don't think you'll be as good as me" Snotlout said smugly

The twins didn't say anything either, they just giggled, they were definitely planning something

"And what are you? some kind of weird club?" Blake asked as he crossed his arms

"Actually, we are members of this academy" Fishlegs said "Here we learn from the dragons, bond with them and if it's necessary, we keep the island safe"

"If that's so, I guess you all have your own dragons" Blake said, so all of their dragons stood behind their riders. However, Thunder was the only one without his rider

"Why is that Skrill on its own?" Blake asked

"Uh… well…" Hiccup hesitated, he wasn't sure if he should tell Blake that Thunder is his dragon

"That would be your dragon" Astrid said

"My dragon?" Blake asked but it only took him a few seconds to start laughing "That's ridiculous. I mean, maybe with some time, you can make a dragon what you want but, there's no way I'd have a dragon of my own"

"You do, you helped him when you found him injured inside a cave" Fishlegs said

"Me, helping a dragon?" Blake asked just before a headache appeared, so he placed his hands on his head

Fishlegs felt a bit guilty, so he was about to walk towards Blake but Hiccup stopped him

"Wait, he might be remembering something" Hiccup said

"Now?" Tuffnut asked looking at Ruffnut

"Now" she said, she and Tuffnut ran towards Blake with maces in order to hit him in the head

Blake reacted fast and dodged Ruffnut's attack before grabbing Tuffnut's arm, stopping him

"What do you two think you're doing?" Blake asked angrily

"Don't worry, Blake, this is for your own good" Ruffnut said before trying to hit Blake once again but Thunder placed himself between them and growled at Ruffnut

"Alright, that's enough!" Hiccup said, so the twins sighed disappointedly and walked back with the other teens

"What were you two thinking?! Blake was about to remember something!" Astrid almost yelled

"Hey, our plan was pretty good" Ruffnut argued

"Yeah, don't judge before you see it in action" Tuffnut said

"We saw enough, and it didn't help Blake" Hiccup said but the twins looked at each other and smiled

"Are you sure?" Tuffnut said

Confused, Hiccup looked at Blake and realized he was in front of Thunder

"So, you saved me from that attack… thanks I guess" Blake said, so Thunder smiled at him

"Huh, it looks like you've made a new friend" Hiccup said as he walked towards Blake

"You know… being friends with a dragon sounds crazy but… it doesn't feel crazy… for some reason it feels… familiar" Blake said

"If you let us, we can show you how to bond with a dragon, we can show you how to bond with him" Hiccup said "It'll take some time and it'll also take some work"

"If he really knew me, he wouldn't want to be near me, none of you would" Blake said as he turned around to look at Hiccup "No one in this island really knows me"

"Then, let us know you" Hiccup said "You don't have to follow the life that Alvin planned for you"

"Ha, nice try but I'm not going to betray my father that easily" Blake said before looking slightly at Thunder who was sad "But… I like the challenge, so I'll do it"

"You'll do what?" Hiccup asked

"I want to try binding with a dragon" Blake said "Besides, it's not like I have another option if I want to be 'one of you'"

"Well said, rookie because you're got a lot to learn if you want to do stuff like this. Hookfang!" Snotlout yelled, so Hookfang ignited himself up as he roared but he also light Snotlout's pants on fire, making him run around the academy

"Uh… is that a common situation for you?" Blake asked

"You have no idea" Astrid said

"Anyway, we'll start tomorrow morning" Hiccup said "Toothless and I will go to get you"

"So, can I go back to my cell now?" Blake asked

"For the last time, it's not a cell!" Hiccup said

Later that night, Blake was asleep in his room but it didn't seem like he was having a good dream

In his dream, Blake and Hiccup were riding their dragons as they were being chased by a giant dragon, the Red Death

"Well, it can fly" Hiccup said "Ok Toothless time to disappear"

"Us too, Thunder" Blake said before he and Hiccup fly into de clouds

When they were up enough the Red Death lost any track of them completely but suddenly a plasma blast hit the Red Death and followed by it a lightning hit it from a different direction

It continued like this until the Red Death was frustrated and it shot fire all over the sky trying to get them, one of the blasts was able to hit Toothless tail fin setting it on fire

After that Hiccup and Blake were able to reunite "That tail won't last long enough" Blake said

"Okay, time's up let's see if this works" Hiccup said

"I'll be right behind you" Blake said

Toothless and Thunder began to fly ever higher than before "Stay with me Toothless just a little bit longer" Hiccup said

When they were really up Toothless and Thunder began to dive directly at the Red Death who got ready to shoot more fire at them "NOW!" Hiccup and Blake yelled making their dragons fire at the open jaws of the Red Death

A huge explosion happened inside of the Red Death who tried to fly away but its wings were ripped off, Hiccup, Blake and the dragons tried to get away but Toothless tail fin ended up really burned making Hiccup and Toothless fall to the fire

"No, NO!" Hiccup screamed when the tail of the Red Death hit him knocking him out and making him fall of Toothless saddle

Toothless reacted fast and dived catching Hiccup covering him with his body "HICCUP!" Blake yelled while Thunder dived trying to catch Toothless

The last thing Blake saw was the fire heading his way

Blake woke up with a gasp as he sat on his bed, he began to look for danger but he slowly calmed down

"What was that dream?" Blake asked himself "It felt so… real"

Then, Blake placed his hand on his left eye as he began to relate things

"Could it be… no… it's impossible, it was just a nightmare" Blake said has he stood up

He left his room and realized it was early in the morning, the sun would rise soon, so Blake was about to exit the forge in order to go for a walk, he wanted to know Berk a bit better

When Blake exited the forge, he realized Thunder was there sleeping, he tried to be as stealthy as he could but Thunder still woke up and looked at him

"What are you doing here?" Blake asked but Thunder only looked worriedly at him as an answer

Blake was about to say something but his stomach growled, he hadn't eaten anything for a while and he was starting to feel the hunger

Thunder immediately got an idea and flew off, Blake wasn't sure of what to do, so he chose to wait there

Minutes later, Thunder returned with a cooked fish and dropped in front of Blake who picked it up

"Is this… salmon?" Blake asked, Thunder just gestured at him with his head "Is for me? But… how did you know I like it?"

Blake had a lot of questions but he ended up eating the salmon anyway. Then, he realized the sun was starting to raise

"Well, I guess I'll see you later, Skrill" Blake said before entering the forge once again while Thunder looked a bit happy

Later that morning, Hiccup and Toothless took Blake to the academy

"Huh, I'm starting to get used to this" Blake said as he got off Toothless' back

"To be honest, I was expecting you to get sick on your first flights" Hiccup said as they entered the academy

"I don't get sick that easily" Blake said

"Okay, are you ready to start training?" Hiccup asked

"I guess I am" Blake said not sounding too excited

"Are you okay?" Hiccup asked

"I already told you, how I am feeling it's none of your business" Blake said

Minutes later, Blake was standing in front of Toothless

"Feeding a dragon is a good way to bond with them, that way they'll understand you mean no harm" Fishlegs said before giving a rock to Meatlug who happily eat it "Go ahead, try it out"

"Shouldn't I be doing this with the Skrill? I thought he was supposed to be my dragon" Blake said looking back at Hiccup

"I know, but you shouldn't rush things up, you need to learn the basics in order to properly bond with your dragon" Hiccup said

"Okay, I'll do it" Blake said annoyed, he slowly walked towards Toothless and offered him the fish

Toothless first smelled it but he quickly ate it, almost biting Blake's hand in the process

"Hey, watch it!" Blake said angrily

"It's okay, it's okay, I'm sure he didn't mean that" Hiccup said placing himself between Toothless and Blake

"Well, that's something that could happen if you blindly trust a dragon" Blake said "If they have the chance, they'll rip your head off without thinking"

"Why don't we try something else?" Fishlegs quickly suggested

They tried too much things, from teaching Blake how to fly and land with a dragon, to teach him how to fight with them but it always ended in Blake being hurt or in him losing his patience

"Okay, we need to try one more thing" Hiccup said "You'll have to learn to trust a dragon"

"Forget it, I'm not doing it!" Blake said angrily "Every time I've tried to trust one of your dragons, I've ended up hurt"

"Please, just one more try and if it doesn't work, I'll leave you alone" Hiccup said

"Fine, but if it doesn't work, I'll chop your head off with an axe" Blake said

"Don't worry, it'll work, this time we'll work with your dragon" Hiccup said

Minutes later, Blake was standing in front of Thunder

"What you have to do is easy, all you need to do is this" Hiccup said before stretching his arm as he looked down, Toothless slowly walked towards him and place his snout on his hand

"You need to let the dragon know that you trust him and he'll do the same" Hiccup said as he looked at Blake

Blake was a bit hesitant, Thunder saved him a few times through the day but he still didn't trust him

He slowly walked toward Thunder as he stretched his arm, Thunder didn't mode, he chose to let Blake approach but he did close his eyes to let him know he trusted him

All of the teens looked hopeful, they trusted that this would bring Blake's memories back, especially Hiccup

Blake was getting closed to Thunder and was about to touch him but… on the last second… he pulled his arm back, so Thunder opened his eyes

"This is stupid, there's no way this would work" Blake said and began to walk away

"Where are you going?" Fishlegs asked

"I'm going back to my cell or whatever that is, I just want to be left alone" Blake said

Hiccup wanted to follow Blake but he knew he needed some space

"Well, that was a complete waste of time" Snotlout complained

"It didn't help that Hookfang almost burned him alive" Astrid said

"Hey, if he wants to learn how to be a dragon rider again, he must know how to keep a dragon under control" Snotlout argued

"I liked it when Blake almost got hit by that explosion Barf and Belch made" Tuffnut said

"Yeah, that was one of the best explosions I've ever seen" Ruffnut said

"Okay, listen, obviously that didn't work, we need something else that might trigger any of Blake's memories back" Hiccup said

When Thunder heard that, he seemed to have an idea, so he roared to get the teens' attention and walked away

"Where is he going?" Snotlout asked

"I think he wants us to follow him" Fishlegs said

Minutes later, the teens were still following Thunder through the forest

"We've been walking for hours!" Snotlout complained "Where is he even taking us?"

"Snotlout, we've been walking for ten minutes" Astrid said

"But still, that's a lot of time" Snotlout said

Then, they arrived at a cave, Thunder entered and looked back at the teens

"Uh… does any of you recognize this place?" Fishlegs asked

"Not really, and I've seen a lot of caves" Tuffnut said

"Wait, I do recognize it" Hiccup said "This is the cave where Thunder and Blake met for the first time"

Hiccup was right, Thunder took them to the cave where he hid when he first arrived. It didn't take Hiccup long to understand the dragon's idea

"I'll bring Blake here, if we're able to recreate the moment when he and Thunder met, that'll help him remember" Hiccup said

"And if it doesn't?" Astrid asked

"I don't know what else we could do if it doesn't work, it's our only hope" Hiccup said

However, this time he was sure this could bring Blake's memories back, he only needed to try

A/n: Hi, I'm back with the second chapter, it took me a while but like I said, I tried to make the chapter longer, that's why it took me longer to finish
