Anthony returned to school the following Saturday. Lily and their friends spent the time getting him caught up. Anthony had a bad case of the cold and his parents wanted him to stay home until he was over it.

On September 1, Lily was in the study room during her study break working on her Transfiguration essay. Julia and Brandy was with her as they had the same study break and they were working on different assignments. Lily was thankful that they used regular pencils and pens here instead of quills. She always had the hardest time writing with the quills when she was little.

Lily stood up to stretch and went out into the library proper. They had about fifteen minutes before their last class of the day. The three of them had their general studies course as the last class of the day. Lily was enjoying learning French. Each week they had to work in their workbook. The teacher even said that after the first nine-weeks, they would start translations and speaking in French just like they had done the previous year. Lily returned to the study room and packed up her books.

As Lily was packing her bag, she thought about her second year so far. Audrey was adjusting well to living at the school and was doing well in her classes as were all the first years. They seemed to strive under the mentorship of the second years.

As Lily and her friends left the study room, a teacher approached them. Lily had a feeling of dread come over her. Something had awoken her a few nights previously, but Lily couldn't figure out what it was.

The teacher said, "Ms. Murphy, please follow me to Mrs. Allen's office."

Renee said, "Of course."

Lily said, "I'll make sure to take plenty of notes, Renee."
Renee nodded.

Lily watched as Renee followed the teacher to Mrs. Allen's office. The group then went to their respective classes. Lily loved learning French. She had already decided to continue taking French class into third year. As they were packing up, Jasmine came into the room and went over to the teacher.

Lily shook her head and hoisted her bag onto her back. Julia and Brandy were talking about what they were planning on doing that evening.

Jasmine approached them. She said, "Lily, I need you to come with me to the infirmary. Ms. Sampson was injured, and she is requesting you."

Lily practically ran to the infirmary with Julia, Brandy, and Jasmine right behind her. In the infirmary, Lily saw Audrey surrounded by her friends. Lily walked over to her and said, "Hey, how are you feeling?"

Audrey said, "Right now, ashamed. We had physical education today and while running I twisted my ankle."

Lily said, "Well at least you just sprained it. Imagine having to have a break fixed?"

Audrey laughed. Her friends relaxed.

Lily said, "How long you going to be in here?"

Audrey said, "The nurse said probably until supper, if not, then curfew. She wants to make sure the sprain is healed."

Lily nodded. She said, "I'll see you at supper or curfew then."

Audrey smiled. Lily, Julia, and Brandy left the infirmary then. As they were heading to their study room, an announcement came over the intercom. "Mr. and Ms. Potter, please come to Mrs. Allen's office."

Lily grew concerned. They were calling for both James and her after they had already pulled Renee out of class earlier. Lily bid her friends good-bye and headed to Mrs. Allen's office. She reached there at the same time that James did.

James said, "Any idea what this is about, Lily?"

Lily shook her head as she knocked on the door. They were bid to enter. Lily and James entered. There was Renee, Emily, and Henry sitting on a conjured couch holding each other crying. Lily walked over to Renee and hugged her.

James said, "Mrs. Allen, what is going on?"

Mrs. Allen started to explain, but then her fireplace flared and outstepped Allen Murphy, Renee and Emily's father. He said, "Ah, good. Everyone is here."

Lily said, "What's going on, Mr. Murphy?"

Allen said, "By the looks of it, Renee, Emily and Henry have already been told, however, I will say it again. Belinda Murphy, my grandmother, and your great-grandmother passed away day before yesterday. Father is in the process of getting a portkey to England to get funeral arrangements set up."

Lily was devastated. Belinda was so sweet. Lily said, "Mr. Murphy, can you tell me if Aunt Petunia made up with Belinda or not?"

Allen said, "I do not know. I sure hope so, but we won't know until we arrive in England."

Lily nodded. Belinda's passing coincided with when she woke up from a dead sleep. Her magic had felt the loss of her great grandmother.

Mrs. Allen said, "You guys are excused from classes until you return. You will not receive any penalties from having late homework."

They flooed to Franklin ranch where the rest of the Murphy family were waiting. Victor said, "We will be portkeying to New York, then from there taking an international portkey to England. On arrival, Mr. Potter will be meeting us. We will be staying at his home, Potter Manor until the funeral and will reading."

Ten minutes later, they took the portkey. After arriving in New York, Lily said, "Mr. Murphy, its going to be nearly midnight when we arrive in England."

Victor nodded. He said, "This is a special time. The ministries agreed since it is an important matter."

Half hour later, they arrived in England. James and Lily ran to their father. Harry pulled them into a hug. He had tears in his eyes. He looked at the Murphy family and said, "I'm so sorry."

Victor said, "It was time, Harry. I thank you for letting us know."

Harry nodded. He led the way to the floo and they all left to Potter Manor. Lily went to her room and cried. Renee came into her room and they cried together.

Gertrude popped in with a couple cups of hot chocolate. Lily thanked her.

Lily said, "I wish I had gotten to know her more."

Renee said, "You got to know her when the time was right. I knew her as much as I could with living in the states and her living here. I know grandfather asked her to move to the states with him, but she refused in hopes that one of her daughter's contacted her. It kinda worked when your father contacted her with the news."

Lilly nodded.

A few days later was the funeral which was held at Murphy Manor on the grounds. Many friends and distant family of the Murphy's were in attendance. Dudley and his family was there, however Aunt Petunia wasn't.

During the dinner afterwards, Professor McGonagall walked up to the Victor and offered her condolences. Professor McGonagall was actually good friends with Belinda and had gone to school with her.

The next day was the will reading. Dudley and his wife attended, along with Harry and Ginny.

The goblin said, "Welcome to the will reading of one Lady Belinda Murphy. You all are here because you were mentioned in her will."

The will was read and each person present received a bequest. Harry was astonished that he was related to Rowena Ravenclaw through the Murphy's. He hadn't paid that close attention to the heritance test.

Back at Potter Manor, Lily and Renee were working on their homework that Julia had texted them about. It was a relief that they had someone that could let them know their homework. They were due back at Ilvermorny in two days.
