Audrey and Lily walked up to the school and to the dining hall. Audrey immediately spotted her friends and went over to them. Lily looked around the hall and realized her friends were not there. She saw that Oliver was and he was sitting alone, so she went over.

She said, "Is that seat taken?"

Oliver looked up from the book he was reading, and his eyes brightened at seeing her. He said, "Not at all, Lily."

He stood up and held out the chair beside him for her. Lily blushed at the attention. After putting in her food order, she looked at what Oliver was reading. She saw it was a history on the second wizarding war in Britain. Lily blushed.

Oliver said, "I thought I would read up on it. Its one of the books I picked up today."

Lily smiled. They chatted while they ate some more. As they were finishing up their suppers, his friends had joined them. They smirked at the two of them. Oliver bid his friends good-bye and helped Lily to her feet. Outside in the courtyard, Oliver sat Lily down at one of the tables so that they could continue talking. Lily enjoyed his company but knew she should get back to her dorm and work on her assignments that were due on Monday. They talked for another ten minutes, before Lily excused herself to go back to her dorm. Oliver walked her halfway before kissing her on the cheek and breaking off to head to the boys' dorms.

Up in her room, Lily leaned against her room door and sighed. Oliver was such a gentleman. She went over to her desk and pulled out her planner.

The next day, Lily on her way to breakfast was ambushed by her friends. She knew it was coming. They all started questioning her. Lily held up her hand. She said, "How about we all have breakfast before you start bombarding me with questions?"

Everyone had a good laugh at that and then headed into the dining hall. They sat at a table for 6 and began eating. They talked about their visit to the village and what their experiences were. Lily found out that the group had decided to have supper in the village at the restaurant, Dobby's Caesar Palace. Lily was taken aback by the name.

Lily said, "Dobby's?"

Renee said, "Yeah. Its run by a group of House-elves. Apparently, they came over after the war in Britain to find work and when they couldn't, they opened a restaurant here near Ilvermorny. They had heard about a house-elf named Dobby and his effort at the end of the war in saving your father, so they wanted to honor him in doing this. There is even a magical inn in the village located off the main street called Kreacher's Magical Inn that is also run by House-elves."

Lily was astounded. She had to let her father know what had happened. After they finished eating, they all agreed to meet up in their meeting room to work on homework that each of them had. Lily went up to her room and gathered her textbooks and assignments that were due within the next couple of days and headed back to the library.

Her friends were already there and waiting. They started off by asking about her 'date' with Oliver. Lily went over everything and how he was such a gentleman: opening and holding the doors open for her, holding her purse, pulling out her chair at the IlverShire, and then helping her out of the cart. All her girl friends swooned. While Anthony and Timothy sighed.

After the conversation, they all got to work on their homework. Lily was the one who had the most work to do, as the others were able to get it done during the week, but Lily had Quidditch practice, and worrying about the visit to the village with Oliver hadn't allowed her to concentrate.

The rest of September passed in a flurry. Fall overcame Ilvermorny and its grounds. Turning it into a spectacular sight with all the different fall colors you would see in Massachusetts.

On September 30th, their Defense teacher told them that they would be having a guest lecturer the following week as Mr. Gooding had some family matters to attend to outside of school.

Mr. Gooding said, "I will not let you know who it is, but this person who is a well-known person who has defeated a number of known criminals. He is well respected amongst his peers. He knows a lot about defense against dark arts and is willing to share his knowledge with us for the week and his guidance. I expect you to show him the same respect that you have for me to him and treat him as a member of the staff."

Lily groaned. Julia looked at her, but Julia shook her head. Lily had a reason to suspect that this guest speaker was going to be her father. Just what she needed in the week leading up to the first game of the season. It didn't help that Gregg was injured during practice the previous night and would be out for the first game. George about ranted and raved about it all. Monica had hit a rather vicious bludger at Lily, but it missed and hit Gregg instead. George had thought about switching their games with someone until Gregg was healed and they could find a backup beater as Monica had been kicked off the team at her deliberate attempt at sabotage, but the rest of the team had quickly pointed out that Lily had been training with them since the start of the year, and even beat Gregg to the snitch a couple of times. Then there was the fact they still had one backup beater in Heather Young.

That evening when they got to their study room, Lily said, "Okay guys listen up. By now, we have all heard about this 'guest' speaker standing in for Mr. Gooding next week, right?" Murmurs of assent. "I do believe it is none other than my father, Harry Potter."

Everyone was shocked.

Renee put two and two together, she said, "Of course! It just came out this morning that you would be debuting in the match against Thunderbird, so why not have your father come in, in Mr. Gooding's place as a substitute and that will give him reason to be here for the first match."

Julia said, "I've also heard rumors from the upper years that are taking history of the magical world, that they were approaching the rise and fall of Tom Riddle and that they would be having a guest lecturer on Friday about that."

Lily knew then that her father was coming to Ilvermorny and would more than likely stay the weekend to watch the game. Lily said, "I must go and talk to Mrs. Allen."

Renee said, "Will you be okay, Lily?"

Lily said, "I don't know, Renee."

Lily gathered up her things and headed towards the principal's office. She quickly knocked and was soon bade to enter. Lily opened the door and saw Mrs. Allen staring out the window. Without missing a beat, Mrs. Allen said, "Ms. Potter, I was wondering if I would be seeing you sometime today after the announcement from Mr. Gooding and the rumors about another guest speaker in History of Magic for the seventh years."

Lily said, "Its true then?"

Mrs. Allen said, "I take it your father hasn't had the chance to tell you? It was just finalized yesterday that he would be coming. This was before the incident with Ms. Robledo yesterday evening. I thought it would be prudent to have someone well versed in defense to teach you guys during Mr. Gooding's absence and it also just fell right in with the teaching of the History of Magic curriculum. And if you are wondering if your father will be staying the weekend, I have sent a message off to him about it, and he has yet to respond."

Lily sighed.

Mrs. Allen said, "Now about Ms. Robledo. I do not understand why she would want to attack one of her own teammates with a bludger? Care to explain?"

Lily explained what was going on to the best of her ability. She had been seen hanging out with Oliver on Sundays when she wasn't studying to keep up with her workload, and Monica and her ilk didn't like it.

Mrs. Allen said, "Aww, young love. If it gets worse, please do let me know, Ms. Potter or even Ms. Cutter. Ms. Evans also told me of your awareness of her identity and what she is doing here at the school." Lily nodded. Continuing, "You can also go to Ms. Evans about anything you think she should know."

Lily nodded again. After leaving Mrs. Allen's office, Lily braced herself for the next week. They had a village visit on the 9th and the Quidditch match was on the 10th. Oliver had once again asked her to the village, but Lily said that she would like to go with her friends this time, which for now, she was extremely grateful for. If her father was going to be in still near the school for the match, Lily didn't want to be seen in the company of another male. Oliver had understood her reasoning about wanting to with her friends and decided he too will go with his friends.
