Ezra awoke in the middle of the night, instinctively reaching over to feel for Sabine. When she wasn't there, he immediately got out of bed and went to look for her, however he wasn't in a panic. Her Force signature seemed calm, which was all the reassurance he needed. He checked the refresher, but she wasn't in there, so he went into the kitchen, smiling when he saw his Mandalorian warrior goddess leaning against the counter sipping from a steaming mug of caf. Her baby bump was peeking from the bottom of her shirt, which made Ezra smile even wider. She was glowing.

"Hey", he said warmly.

"Hey", she responded, struggling to stand upright with her heavy pregnant belly, "Couldn't sleep."

Looking at the chronodisplay on the wall, Ezra chuckled. "You thought you'd solve the problem with caffeine?" His wife reached over and thwacked him in the center of his chest. "Save the smartassedness, pal. You know caf helps me think." Ezra jokingly sighed in fake pain as he rubbed his chest. "Yeah, yeah, I know. So, what's on your mind?"

Sabine sighed and brushed her hair out of her face. It hadn't been this long since a few years before they were reunited. "I just... I've been looking back at the past lately... stuff that happened while you were gone."

"Mandalore?"

"Yeah... Mandalore..."

When he had returned to Lothal, the news of what had transpired on Mandalore shortly after his and Sabine's adventures there broke his heart, because he knew she regretted not being able to help her people.

"'Bine", he said lovingly as he wrapped his arms around her loosely, "We've talked about this. You're not at fault for any of that."

"I know", she replied as she rested her head on her husband's shoulder, "I accepted that a long time ago... but I was thinking about it again because of how... different I feel."

Ezra raised an eyebrow. "Different how?"

"Well, when it happened, obviously I was torn up beyond reason, but now, when I think about it, I know I made the right choice. I had to stay on Lothal because you were counting on me, and I promised I'd never break your trust. When my mother told me about what happened, I felt weak, but I realize now that you've made me stronger than ever... it doesn't hurt anymore, because I know I did right by you."

Tears formed in Ezra's eyes. "Sabine... if you had went to help your people, I never would have held that against you. Don't ever think that."

"I know, cyare, I'm just saying it doesn't hurt to think about anymore... because I know that with you in my life, nothing can break me down to that level again." She tilted her head and stood on her toes to kiss him softly.

We are one together...
