The Ahsoka premiere was a roller coaster of emotions. On the one hand, it was great to see some of my favorite characters again, but on the other hand FUCK YOU DAVE FILONI EZRA DOES NOT SEE SABINE AS A SISTER HOW FUCKING DARE YOU COMMIT SUCH HERESY?!?!? Anyway... while I'm suffering an emotional breakdown... have a new oneshot.

It was morning on Lothal. Ezra was waiting for Sabine to get out of the shower, idly sipping his caf as he read the news on the HoloNet. It was some boring article about another New Republic official being outed as an Imperial Remnant spy. This was unfortunately becoming all too common. The New Republic's arrogance kept it from fully rooting out Imperial sympathy in its ranks

Suddenly, a blood-curdling scream erupted from the refresher followed by a loud crash. Ezra dropped his mug and immediately bolted into the room, gasping when he saw Sabine laying on the floor on her back, writhing in pain. "Sabine, what happened?", he asked as he knelt beside her. She groaned and looked up at him with tears of pain in her eyes. "Floor... wet... I slipped", she choked out, "I didn't hit my head, thank the Force." Ezra chuckled and gently scooped her up. "Lemme get you in bed, love."

Sabine winced as her boyfriend lifted her up. Her lower back was sore, having taken the brunt of the fall. When he set her in bed, Ezra gasped when the towel slipped down a bit. He saw a small circular scar on her lower right abdomen. "Sabine, what the kark happened?" She looked at what he was looking at and sighed. "Oh yeah... I never told you about that... right before me and Ahsoka went out looking for you, that Sith bitch we fought showed up at the tower and tried to kill me... she got me off balance and got a lucky hit..." Ezra was tearing up as well now, and he gently leaned down and kissed the scar. Sabine shuddered and she got goosebumps. "E-Ezra..."

"Why didn't you tell me?", he asked as he covered her up with the blankets.

"Didn't think it mattered", Sabine responded as she settled into bed, "It was in the past." Ezra sighed and shook his head. "Doesn't matter, Sabine. Trust me, I know better than anyone, even the smallest things can come back to hurt us in ways we don't expect." To prove his point, he lifted his sleeve and showed her the blaster scar on his shoulder. "This still hurts me... inside and out."

Sabine raised an eyebrow. "Inside? How does it hurt you inside?"

"Because it reminds me of the day I left... the day I wasn't sure if I'd ever see you again..." Ezra couldn't stop a tear from rolling down his cheek. Sabine reached up and rubbed his arm. "Well... since we're spilling the truth about things that hurt us... I know this is probably irrelevant now, but... the message you left for me..." She trailed off, and Ezra immediately knew what she was referring to. He nervously rubbed the back of his neck. "Yeah... that... I have an explanation."

She simply stared at him, indicating that she was listening. Ezra cleared his throat and laid down beside her, staring up at the ceiling. "I wanted to actually tell you how I felt but I was afraid... afraid that if you felt the same way, and then I left, I'd be leaving you the same way Kanan left Hera." He was fully sobbing at this point, so Sabine rolled over and kissed his cheek. "It's okay, cyar'ika. I'm here... we're together." Ezra choked back his tears and hugged Sabine tight, burying his face in her neck. The Mandalorian patted his back and kissed his shoulder.

"I love you... inside and out."
