With the Giraffe's tooth out of the way all that was left was the blood, titan and their own. Upon returning to the demon realm they saw Eda and Raine. The two were coming back from a date. "Hey Luz Amity, how are you two doing?" Eda said as she gave the two a big hug. "Not much just grabbing some potion ingredients. By the way, do you know where King is?" Luz said. Much had changed in the owl house since that summer in the boiling isles. Raine had moved in with Eda after the two had gotten back into a
relationship. Even in spite of their status as Prime Minister of the Boiling Isles Raine insisted on living in the owl house with Eda. It was an adjustment for Eda sleeping in a real bed for the 1st time in years but one she was more than happy to do for Raine. " Last I checked he was out with Steve joy riding." Eda said as she pulled out a glass for apple blood. "Eda remember, one glass." Raine said as they went to sit down. "Yeah yeah I know. You're lucky I love you so much to cut my drinking down." Eda said as she put the appleblood jug away. " So what potion are you two brewing?" Eda asked before taking a sip of apple blood. "It's a surprise we will tell you when we're done." Luz and Amity said as the two headed out the door….
Later….
After a bit of searching they found King and Steve at Grimgub's pub enjoying some drinks. "Luz Amity, how are you doing?" King said, giving the two a bear hug. "Hi buddy we are doing fine. Now if you could, your bear hug is crushing us." Luz said thinking of how when the two had first met King was desperate to break free of her hugs. "Oh sorry, I forget my strength sometimes." King said. With his growth had come not just magic but impressive strength. The strength to lift 10 tons in his current size. When he
shifted size his strength was enough to lift entire islands. "Hey King, can we speak to you in private?" Amity asked as the titan looked to his buddy Steve who said"It's fine by me I'll be here when you're done." And like that the three of them went off to a separate table. "So what do you two want to talk about?" The Titan asked as he took a sip of his apple blood. "Well to put it simply we need your blood for a potion so we can have a baby." Luz said, causing King to spit out his drink." Wow you two are having a baby."
King said as the two shushed him." Not so loud. We aren't ready to announce it." Luz said as the Titan nodded as he understood and respected their decision." So will you let us take some blood for the potion?" Amity said as King began to laugh, causing the two to be confused. " It's funny you think I would even say no. You guys are family. Of course I'll give you the blood you need for the potion. When do you need it anyway?" King said as he finished his appleblood." Well right now would be good." Luz said,
causing King to freak out."Um, can we do it next week? I've got lots of titan stuff to do." King said as he tried to avoid the dreaded needle."Come on buddy you said we were family. You can handle a needle for a minute for your family right." Luz said, doing her best cute face. A face she knew nobody could resist. King took one look and knew he was beat. "Alright make it quick." King said as Luz pulled out the blood draw kit and the two walked towards the bathroom. One could hear a scream followed by a large thud noise then silence for 5 mins before the two walked out King a bit woozy and Luz triumphant holding a vial of titans blood."Alright lets get home we got some brewing to do…..
Noceda-Blight residence an Hour later
Luz and Amity had a cauldron with water boiling as water was the base of all potions. "Okay according to the book first boil water in a small cauldron then add the titans blood." Luz said as she poured the blue blood into the cauldron causing the water to take a blue color and a magic aura emanated from the cauldron. "Luz you sure you know what you're doing. We could just get Morton to brew it for us." Amity said as luz added the gryphon's feather and trash slug egg." Don't worry my lovely sweet potato, Eda taught me everything about potion brewing. Now we grind the giraffes tooth before we add it to the mixture. Now where is the mortar and pestle." Luz said as amity brought
over a large wooden one. "Amity, that's the pilon I use to make mofongo, the stone one next to it." Luz said as Amity went back to grab the correct one as Luz made quick work of the tooth and poured the powder into the potion."Now we stir and wait 5 minutes for the ingredients to fully mix. Perfect time to draw our own blood." Luz said as she went to grab the blood draw kit." You know for an ancient book on potions the directions are pretty specific." Amity said as the two headed to the bathroom." How did you
learn to draw blood anyway?" Amity said as Luz began cleaning Amity's arm with rubbing alcohol. " My mom showed me during take your daughter to work day as a kid. I mean it was on a dog but the only differences are you have to make a fist and I have to apply a tourniquet." Luz said as she tied it around Amity's arm causing her slight discomfort. "Okay I see the vein now, remember what I do bec you will have to do it for me." as she prepared to insert the needle. Amity nodded and Luz put it in the vein
causing a red stream of blood to make its way towards the vial she had inserted at the end of the device. It didn' take more than a minute for the vial to reach sufficient capacity for luz to remove the needle and dispose of it. She quickly undid the tourniquet and applied a kitty bandaid to Amity's arm." Alright now it's your turn." Amity said as she followed Luz's instructions to the letter and soon they had two vials of blood ready to be added to their potion. As they made their way back to the kitchen the potion had
changed. It went from a dark blue to a glowing light blue. Amity took a ladle and filled a potion bottle with enough for 1 person before putting it aside." That's for Viney and Skara." Amity said before filling a second bottle with the potion. "Now Luz we add the blood and shake it." Amity said as luz poured the two vials of blood in the bottle causing the potion to turn a glowing purple." Now the question is who drinks it?" Luz said as she put it down on the kitchen countertop." Luz I have to drink it. Remember what I told
you. A witch fetus has to draw magic from the mothers bile sac to develop their own. We want our child to have every opportunity to grow into becoming a great witch." Amity said as she stared at the potion." Oh your right, I almost forgot." Luz said as Amity removed the cork stopper and chugged the potion. It was disgusting. All she could taste was the iron in the blood. It would honestly give Eda's elixir a run for its money in the gross department. After finishing the potion Amity felt a sudden sense of drowsiness. As if she needed to nap. " Luz I feel tired, let's go to bed, it's pretty late." Amity said as the young couple headed to bed with dreams of their baby awaiting them.
