Chapter 7 – The Princess, The Elf, The Demon and the Wanderer Part 7
Bean was sweating beads as she stared at the many eyes that belonged to these hairy eight-legged spiders. Their hairy legs rubbing against the others as they got closer, and closer, and closer till Bean could see the reflections of herself in the creature's eyes. Elfo and Luci were screaming at the top of their lungs as they awaited getting eaten. Bean closed her eyes fearing the worst. Her life flashed before her eyes. From when she was little, from when she lost her mom, from all the times she had back in dreamland. All the good, all the bad. But…she only saw the bad. Bean couldn't think of one single good thing that had happened that she could at least reflect on. "Is this how I'm really going to go out? Eaten by a bunch of spiders?" Everything seemed to happen in slow motion. The spiders baring her fangs. Elfo closing his eyes accepting his fate. Luci staring up at the fangs, impressed but scared out of his mind. "I…I never had a chance to spread my wings…I'm never going to see the world as I wanted to. I never met someone who could say I truly loved. I finally get real friends but now I'm going to die with them. Why…why is my life so unfair?" Tears began to fall from Beans eyes. Bean could hear the cries of Freya calling out Beans name in anger along with sadness. "So that's just how life is huh? It could just end in such a horrible fashion. I guess…that's it?"
At that final moment of accepting her fate. Her heart stopped. Bean began to feel this surge go through her body. Bean snapped open her eyes. "NOOOOOOOO!" She cried. A surge of energy went throughout Bean's body and went straight to her hands. She holds out her hands and a powerful stream of black lightening shoots from her fingertips and strikes all of the Spiders that had surrounded the three of them. Some spiders were split in half, others had gaping holes in them. The remaining Spider's all backed off and retreated away in fear and confusion. Bean stood there panting with sweat going down her face and neck. She looked at her hands in shock.
"What in the world?" said Freya in awe.
"This girl can do magic?" said Esmee "What kind was that? I've never seen anything like that before!"
"B-Bean! What the hell was that?!" said Elfo, staring up at her with his ears perked.
"I-I don't know!" Bean replied, her hands shaking. "I…I didn't even know I could-I…" Bean was at a loss for words as she stared at her hands.
"Well, whatever the hell it was do it again! Aim it at the big spider bitch!" Luci shouts at Bean as he points at Esmee.
Bean turned to Esmee and she thrust both of her arms at her. But to Bean's disappointment, nothing happened. She kept thrusting her arms at her while making grunting noises, trying to get some black lightning to shoot out. But again, nothing happened. "OH COME ON!" Bean griped as she stared at her hands.
Esmee hissed and glared at Bean "YOU KILLED MY BABIES!" She roared "I'LL KILL-ARGHH!" Esmee suddenly cried. An arrow was seen sticking out her right shoulder.
Bean, Elfo, Luci, and Freya turned in the direction of where it was shot from to see five individuals riding on horses. One girl had short black bobbed hair, light tan skin, and her right eye was bright yellow. "DAMN IT! I missed the headshot!" stated Sophie.
One man got off his horse and he runs towards Bean and placed his hands around her arms, staring her in the eyes. His hair was a dark shade of red and his skin was of an olive color. "Miss! Are you ok? Are you hurt? Don't worry! I Archie, the bravest of the Southwold defense force will-"
"SHUT UP ARCHIE!" said Both Freya and Sophie.
Archie went quiet for a moment. "Help you…" he said in a quieter embarrassed tone.
Esmee screamed as she went for the attack but was pelted by another arrow to the shoulder. Sophie would take out 3 more arrows and try to aim for the head but Esmee swipes two of them away but one hits her on the other side she scurries away to hide.
"Eight-legged Bitch!" Sophie cursed before she gets off her horse. She along with the rest of her team hurried over to Bean, Elfo, and Luci. Archie hurried over to Freya, takes out a knife, and starts cutting through the webbing placed around her.
"Why did you run ahead like that and not wait for us!?" said Archie, glaring at Freya worriedly.
"Ye can nag at me all ye like when we get out of this!" Freya said as she pushed Archie away and grabs her sword and looks towards the direction of where Esmee went. "COME BACK AND FIGHT ME YE UGLY EIGHT-EYED COW! YOU WERE SO CONFIDANT WHEN I WAS TIED UP! COWARD!"
Esmee watched from the dark corners of where she was hiding. Her eight eyes glowing.
Sophie and her men checked on Bean, Elfo, and Luci. "Are you three ok?" She asked as she checked to see if Bean had any wounds.
"Y-Yeah I'm fine! I'm more shaken up than hurt," Bean reassured.
"I think I'm going to need some new pants…" said Elfo embarrassed.
Sophie looked around at the bodies of the dead spiders. Her mouth hung open in shock as she sees a few spiders with holes in their bodies and some cut in half. "Did you do all of this?" She looks back at Bean.
"Well…yeah I guess I did…" Bean said as she looked at her hand.
"Did you guys ever find Fergus and Koga?" asked Archie, as he was holding back Freya as she tried to run after Esmee.
"Well, we found Fergus. He's alive but I think Esmee has a crush on him?" Bean replied. "A-As for Koga…I don't know…" Beans voice was shaky as she rubbed her arm.
"IF KOGA IS DEAD I'LL CUT YE FUCKING HEAD OFF YOU-" Freya began screaming curse words at Esmee that were again never head of by humans of this time.
"No way he's gone," said Sophie confidently "I mean it's Koga we're talking about!" Sophie herself sounded worried.
"Uh…guys," said Luci "We've been standing here talking for a good minute or so, and that spider-girl hasn't made a move yet…"
Everyone turned toward the spider girl Esmee. Esmee had her teeth bared and they could all hear her crying. "You think I'm going to let you get away with hurting me?! You'll all pay for this!" She screamed. She then takes a deep breath and lets out a blood-curdling scream. Everyone covered their ears as the scream sent a chill down their spine. "DAAAAAAAAAADYY!" She screamed. Then everything went quiet.
"D-Did she just say, daddy?" Elfo stuttered.
"Uh-huh.." Luci nods.
There was a rumble beneath their feet. Trees in the distance were being knocked down. Everyone looked on in horror as what was approaching was something bigger, uglier, and hairier. What appeared before the group was a spider that towered over Esmee. Brown, big black eyes and fangs that clicked.
Elfo stared up blankly at the spider and sighed. "Yeah…I'm going to need new pants…"
"Me too little guy…" said Archie.
"Daddy, that bucktooth girl killed my babies! And that one girl with the ugly yellow eyeshot me in the shoulder!" Esmee whined.
The giant brown spider clicked its fangs a few more times before it raised its large hairy legs ready to strike down the group. But before it could, a figure fell from the trees above and lands down on the giant brown spider's head forcing it to lay face down on the ground. The Giant spider lets out a loud cry of pain as blood shoots from its head like a fountain as Koga, yanks the blade out from its head. Soon after Koga came from above, the body of Fergus fell on top of the spider, causing Fergus to let out a groan of pain. "Ow…" He said dazedly. Bean gasped and a big smile appeared on her face. "KOGA!" She cried happily.
Esmee lets out a cry of horror "DADDY!" She whaled.
Koga moves his hair away from his face and then picks some webbing out of his hair "Ugh this is why I hate spiders…" He then looks down at Bean, Elfo, and Luci "What the heck are you guys doing here?" He then sees Archie and Sophie "Archie? Sophie?"
"KOGA!" Archie beamed "Oh my god you're alive!"
"SEE? I told you he'd be ok!" Sophie said smiling at Archie.
Koga picks up Fergus off of the spider "Come on old man! You're not out for the count yet!" He said to him as he hops off the spider.
"You didn't even catch me, you blithering idiot…" Fergus complained. "I could've fallen on the ground."
"But you didn't so everything's fine!" said Koga cheerfully.
Koga would bring Fergus's body over to Archie, Sophie, and the rest of the backup as they all gathered around to check on him.
"Sir! Are you ok? Any wounds at all!" said Sophie, worriedly.
"I'm fine I'm fine!" Fergus said as he pops his neck a couple of times. "Tramutized but fine nonetheless."
Koga looks over at the three of them "You guys followed me? Why?" he asked, in a surprised and curious tone.
"Well excuse us for being worried and wanting to come help," said Bean, crossing her arms and narrowing her eyes at Koga. "Freya was about to run in here by herself because YOU decided to run off on your own!"
Koga raised his eyebrows "Freya's here too?" He said turning around. Once he did Koga was met with a strong right hand to the face that knocked him down to the ground. Freya hopped on top of him and began pelting him in the face with a barrage of blows. "I HATE YE! I FUCKING HATE YE YOU TALL SACK OF SHIT! DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I WAS WORRIED SICK ABOUT YE? I WAS ABOUT TO GET EATEN BY SPIDERS YOU BUSHY-HAIRED FUCK!" Freya ranted on.
"OW! OW! OW! OW! FREYA STOP HITTING ME!" Koga begged as he held up his arms blocking the incoming punches.
"NO! I'LL KILL YE MYSELF!" Freya said as she began wrestling with Koga once he grabbed her hands to stop her punches. "LET GO OF ME! LET GO OF ME NOW!"
"I'LL LET GO WHEN YOU STOP PUNCHING ME!" Koga shouts.
Bean, Elfo, Luci, and the rest of the party just watched the two of them fight. Elfo looked over at Fergus and asked "Should…we stop her?"
Fergus just shakes his head no "Unless you want to have a fist print left on your face."
Suddenly without warning, Esmee in the distance screamed. Everyone turned in her direction as she scurries back into the scene. All eight of Esmee's eyes had tears coming out of them.
"YOU KILLED MY BABIES! NOW YOU KILLED MY DADDY? THAT'S IT! I'LL KILL ALL OF YOU MYSELF!" Esmee screeched as she launches herself in the air and over her father's body.
"WATCH OUT!" Koga said as she grabs Freya and he moves out of the way. Everyone almost got crushed as Esmee lands near them. Esmee holds out her hand and a stream of dark aura materializes in her hand creating a black blade. "DIE!" She bellowed as she swings at Koga. Both He and Freya managed to move out of the way of her attack. Esmee slashed the ground. The soil began to burn and crackle.
"WHOA! POISON BLADE!" Bean gasped.
"EVERYONE! GET READY! WE'RE TAKING THIS ONE DOWN!" Sophie called out to everyone. Everyone roared with confidence as they drew their swords and took out their bow and arrows.
"GET OFF ME!" Freya said as she pushes Koga off and she picks up her sword "I'M COMING FOR YE HEAD!" She screamed at Esmee as she charged at her.
"GODDAMN IT FREYA!" said Koga as she picks up his sword and greatsword and followed in after her.
"Thoe two are made for each other…" said Bean watching them.
"Tell me about it…" said Archie with a sigh.
Esmee spits out webbing from her mouth at Koga and Freya. The two of them dodge the incoming webbing and head straight for Esmee's legs. Koga and Freya together slash violently at Esmee's Spider legs causing her to let out a sharp cry. Esmee then swings her sword at Freya, and she moves to the right and Koga blocks the incoming attack aimed at Freya and blocking it with his sword. Esmee raised her arm again and slashes at Koga but Koga paries the attack with ease then Freya hops in and slices Emsee's sword arm off. "ARGHHHH!" Esmee cried as blood spurts from her arm. "FIRE!" ordered Sophie as she along with her bow team fires arrows at Esmee. Each arrow was striking Esmee in the chest, arm, legs, and her spider-like body.
Esmee's body was covered in arrows.
Koga leaps into the air, grips his sword, and slices off Esmee's head. Her head soars into the air and lands on the ground. Esmee's body goes limp and it flops to the ground.
Koga lets out a big sigh "And…done…" He sheathed
Everyone let out cheers of victory with their swords raised in the air. Freya was the loudest of them all as she picks up the head of the spider woman and holds it into the air with a loud and ferocious battle cry.
Bean, Elfo, and Luci just watched as Freya tosses the head on the ground and she began to punch the decapitated head of Esmee.
"Wow…" said Bean as she watched Freya
"Yeaaah…" said Luci watching as well.
"Please remind me never to piss her off…" said Elfo

Somewhere in an undisclosed location. A meeting was taking place…
A man, wearing silver armor with a logo of two crossed swords sat in a chair tapping his fingers on the table slowly. He rubs his goatee that was tied in a ponytail. The room they were in was filled with men wearing all chainmail. At the end of the table was the last survivor of Noland's squad named Douglas, who sat cowering.
"So…let me get this straight…" said Hector slowly. His voice was deep, smooth, and calm. But had much frustration in it. "Our dear old friend Koga kills noland and takes the dragon key, correct?"
Douglas nods. "Y-Yes, sir…"
Hector nods. He moved his jaw around as if he was chewing something. "I see." Hector gets up from his chair and heads to the window to stare out at the view. He shakes his head in disappointment "I liked him. He was strong, didn't talk a lot, never tried to stand out and kiss anyone's ass. A true swordsman."
Everyone at the table looked at one another and looked back at Hector.
"I was fine with him leaving. But to take what I searched years for. Then, he kills one of his old friends? That's too far." Hector said, turning to his table full of the Order of the sword members who all nodded in agreement.
"Douglas,"
"YES SIR?" Douglas stands up from the table.
"You said he has friends he cares for in his hometown right?"
"Y-Yes sir…but-"
"In that case…" Hector looks back out the window. "We kill them…and take back what belongs to us…"
