Chapter 18 – Bachelor Party Part 2

The pirates who had arrived on the scene had boarded the party barge. The Bozaks did the same as they boarded on the opposite side. The Parry barge crew was sandwiched in between the pirates and the bozaks. Bean and Tavish stared in shock. The twins didn't expect anything like this to happen…and they didn't know that their plans had both collided. The Pirates and the Bozaks stared each other down with anger confusion on their faces. "AY! WHAT ARE YOU FILTHY BOZAKS DOING HERE? GO FIND YOUR OWN CATCH!" said the Captain of the Pirate ship as he points his sword at the Captain of Bozak's ship. The Bozak growled "WE WERE HERE FIRST! WE HAVE BUSINESS HERE YOU SEA-DWELLING TRASH!" The Bozak men became rowdy at their captain's statements. The Pirate captain glared "Sea-dwelling trash eh? Did you hear that men? They think we're sea-dwelling trash! Well, I say we show these bastards what pirates can really do! ARE YOU WITH ME?!" The Pirate Captain shouts as he raised his sword. The men let out a loud battle cry as the two sides charged at each other and engaged in combat. The Party Barge all moved out of the way as the pirates and bozaks began to exchange blades.

"This is not how this was supposed to go…" Both Bean and Tavish thought. "This wasn't supposed to be some stupid all-out battle!"

The Party barge however were all cheering on the battle. Merkimer turned to Tavish "Tavish my boy did you plan all of this? A battle between pirates and bozaks is something I'd never thought I'd see!"

Tavish heard what Merkimer said but didn't reply. He was so frustrated. All the Bozaks had to do was board the ship and take Merkimer as he told them to do. Then Merkimer would be dead and gone. The Pirates and the Bozaks were so focused on each other that they didn't even try and go after Merkimer. They were completely lost in the battle.

"This has gotten out of control!" said Elfo as he hid behind Bean.

"This is amazing! WOOHOOO!" Luci cheered on.

But then there was shouting from the battle as if someone was trying to get their attention. It was the leader of the bozaks. He was shouting at the top of his lungs for everyone to stop fighting. To everyone's surprise, they did and they all turned to look at him. "What are we doing? Why are we fighting?!" He said looking at his men and the pirates. The pirates looked at each other "Because you called us Sea dwelling bastards?" One of the pirates said. "FORGET ABOUT THAT!" The Bozak captain roared "Why in the world are we fighting when we have Princess Tiabeanie, Prince Tavish, and Prince Merkimer right in front of us? We can take them and get twice as much gold!"

The Pirate Captain thought about it for a moment. "You're right! That is a much better plan!"

"WHAT?!" said Bean and Tavish together

"We'll make negotiations on what gets split between us later!" said the Captain of the pirates

"AGREED!" said The Bozak captain.

And just like that. The Pirates and The Bozaks had formed a temporary alliance. They all banded together and turned towards the party barge crew. Trubish and Mertz gulped at the same time and formed frightened expressions on their faces.

Merkimer, however, didn't seem frightened "Ahhh a little interaction I presume? This is one wonderful show!"

"Prince Merkimer I don't think this was ever a show…" Pendergast said to him as he reached into one hoister holding a sword "EVERYONE! ARM YOURSELVES QUICKLY!" He shouts as the men on the barge grabbed the swords as quickly as he could "MAKE SURE TO PROTECT PRINCESS BEAN, PRINCE TAVISH, AND PRINCE MERKIMER WITH YOUR LIVES!"

The Party Barge crew charged as the crowd of Pirates and Bozaks and their swords clashed. Pendergast was fighting hard. He had killed two pirates and two borks by slicing their arms and heads off. Turbish and Mertz were giving it their all. Although some of the battles they were involved in they did end up getting overwhelmed by the Bozaks.

"That's right men! FIGHT! FIGHT ON! Fight to protect your royal princes and princess!" Merkimer cheered on.

"This has gone straight to hell…" said Bean as she watched on.

"I KNOW RIGHT?" Luci said with a big grin on his face.

"We're all going to die aren't we?" Elfo asked calmly as he looked up at Bean.

"Probably…" Bean replied as she looked down at Elfo.

The Party Barge was beginning to lose men. Some had taken out some pirates and even bozaks but there was still some leftover and they ended up killing the men who were tired and weak. Pendergast had tried to go after the captain of the Bozaks but was backhanded away. The Bozak captain and the Pirate captain along with their men turned towards Merkimer, Bean, and Tavish. "Now come quietly! Or we won't hesitate to kill you!" said the Bozak captain.

"Y-You don't scare me! I was born scared!" Merkimer said fearfully as he held up his sword.

Bean, Elfo, and Luci crowd together while Merkimer was huddling up against Tavish. Tavish at this point was furious. Everything he planned had fallen apart within minutes. Tavish reached behind his back and pulled out a sharp long knife. He shoved Merkimer out of the way and slashed at the throats of three Pirates that were coming his way. Blood shoots out from their necks and covers a bit of Tavish's green garments. "WHOA! "said Bean in shock as she looked over at her older brother. Tavish lunges forward and he begins slicing at the necks of the bozaks and pirates. He was so swift and fast a lot of them didn't even have time to react to him. Merkimer backed away slowly and he hides behind a barrel covering his ears hoping that all of this was over. Tavish had made it to the captain of the Bozaks and he swings his knife at him but the captain catches Tavish's arm and he grabs him by the neck and pins him against the edge of the ship close to where Bean was.

"You Bozak bastard…this wasn't a part of the deal!" Tavish said through his teeth.

"Sorry, Prince! Change of plans!" said The Bozak Captain with a malicious grin

Bean was close enough to hear what they were saying. "Deal?" Thought Bean. "Wait…did…Tavish?" Bean didn't have time to dwell on it right now. She had to do something. Bean looked over at the sword that Merkimer dropped and she picks it up she charged at the Bozak captain but was cut off by the pirate captain "I'm sure to get more gold from your father once this is over!"

"PISS OFF YOU SEA-DWELLING JACKASS!" Bean said as kicked the pirate captain straight in the groin and he doubled over. "LET GO OF MY BROTHER!" She screamed as he charged at the Bozak captain and slashed him on the back with the sword. The Bozak captain lets out a roar of pain and he lets go of the grasp on Tavish. As soon the grip around his neck and arm was loosened Tavish began stabbing his knife in the chest of the Bozak. He kept stabbing, over, and over, and over and over till finally, Tavish stopped. The Bozak captain lay on the party barge main deck with stab wounds all over his chest. Bean stared at her older brother surprised at what he was capable of. Elfo covered his eyes as he saw the blood splatter onto the wooden floors of the ship. Luci watched in awe and admiration. The remaining party barge crew along with the remaining pirates and bozaks all looked over at Tavish. Tavish had a bit of blood on his face and he stared over at the pirates and bozaks. "Well…there's still more of you left…shall we?" He said in an unhinged tone. As soon as Tavish spoke those words the captain spoke while in pain "R-RETREAT!" The Captain screamed as he along with his crew jumped off the ship and swam back them. Merkimer came out of hiding and he looked over at the body of the dead Bozak captain.

"HAHA!" Merkimer said in a jolly tone "VICTORY! Great job men! We killed the Captain!" He said as he walked over to the body, picked up the sword Bean dropped, and sliced off his head. "WE'RE TAKING THIS AS A TROPHY!"

The Bozak men retreated as well. Of course not because of Merkimer. But because of Tavish.

"YES! RUNAWAY! RUNAWAY! HA HA HA!" Merkimer cheered. The rest of the Party Barge let out a roar of victory. "Great Job men! And great job to my best friend Tavish!" Merkimer placed his arm around his shoulder. Tavish's first instinct was to stab Merkimer in his fat gut and rip out his intestines…but of course…he didn't do it. It was soon after The Party Barge had arrived at the docks of Dreamland. Everyone got off the ship carrying the bodies of the enemy and allies that had died on the barge.

Bean, Elfo, Luci and Tavish were the last ones to get off. Bean had told Elfo and Luci to go on ahead while Bean had stopped her brother from going any further. "Hey, Tavish wait…" She said grabbing his arm.

"What is it?" Tavish asked tiredly. He felt so drained…mentally and physically.

"I just…I just need to ask you something…"

Tavish stared at her.

"You…hired those bozaks didn't you?" Bean asked, "You hired them to kill Merkimer."

"Yes…just like how you hired those pirates that got in the way of my plans…"

"How did you-"

"Oh come on sister...the fact that you all of a sudden wanted to go on the barge. And then those Pirates showing up?" said Tavish

"Ok but Why?" Bean asked "I don't get it. I thought you and him were like best friends or something!"

"Are you kidding me? I hate him. I hate that fat inbred bastard!" Tavish spat.

"B-But aren't you and him best friends because of-I don't know royal prince stuff?" Bean said confused.

"NO! I don't need him! I never needed to be his friend! He's been nothing more than an annoyance for years!"

"But why kill him? Can't you just tell him to piss off? You wouldn't gain anything out of-" Then just like that. It clicked In her head. Bean stared at her older brother as her jaw slowly opened. "You…you…you did it for me? Didn't you?"

Tavish's eyes met with those familiar blue eyes of his twin sister. The hate and anger that resided in Tavis's eyes were replaced with a gentle look of forlorn. Then his head lowered as it stared at the wooden dock below them. Tavish's messy hair had his eyes as his head hung low. Bean frowned and her eyes became glossy as she reached her hand out to place it on Tavish's cheek. But Tavish would hold up his hand and grasped Bean's hand gently.

"Let's go home…" said Tavish as he let's go of her hand and he turns around. "We failed…" He then started walking off.

Another thought had clicked in her head. That's right. Their plan did fail. All of this work was for her to make sure she didn't have to marry Merkimer. Bean's heart sunk and her hands began to shake and she clenched her teeth. But as soon as that pain arrived…it went away. She gave up. Bean would slump as she lagged behind her older brother back to the castle.

Tomorrow would be her wedding day.
