Chapter 63 Dino Crisis
It's been a month since the Borgia incident revealing he was capturing and experimenting on the Hunters for his own gains as vengeance for what happened to his father a century ago.
However thanks to the League, the Wolf Pack and the Hunters including the now redeemed Scarface the whole operation was put an end to once his activates became to concerning to leave to only Sean and Scarface alone.
Now Sean had bought out the shares of the Company thanks To Lucretia who was given a full pardon for her unwilling part in her father's schemes.
With it under his control along with now merging with Yutani corporation the company's technology and plans were being examined to put to some true good use to help build a better world.
Now though.
Sean along with several members of the Wolf Pack Korra included were in a meeting room regarding something new that had come up.
"Recent intel by one of our spies suggests that the nation of Boldinia republic is making a new fuel source." Lane said.
"Why is that a bad thing?" Floyd asked.
"Because of who's making this new fuel source. Dr Edward Kirk." Lane said showing his photo.
"As in the same Edward Kirk who said to have died years ago?" Sean asked.
"The very same. He proposed he could make a new fuel source that could replace fossil fuels. However his project was rejected. Mostly because we found out the Oil companies made sure it was denied before you started buying them up to stop them from getting involved in new fuel ideas." Lane said making him scoff.
"So what is he doing with these guys?" Regina asked.
"Thats what you'll be finding out. The League will stand by to Assist if things get out of hand. I want him back here and More importantly I wanna know if this Energy he talked about can be weaponized. We need every edge against Grendel." Lane said.
"Roger that." Sean said.
Later
The Wolf Pack which consisted of Sean, Korra, Floyd, Regina, Motoko, Roberta and Black Spider had arrived on the island where Dr Kirk was at.
"Ok so we head in and take out anyone that gets in the way and we find Dr Kirk and find out whats going on." Sean said.
"Wait...Something ain't right. Theres no security around here." Deadshot said.
"Probably a guard shift." Regina said.
"Split up." Sean said as they went in separate directions.
Sean arrived by a gate seeing it shredded.
"What happened here?" Black Spider asked.
"Hmm." Sean said seeing bullets on the ground picking them up. "Still warm. This was very recent. Two minutes before we got here at best." Sean said.
"So what were they fighting?" Black Spider asked.
"It wasn't much of a fight. Something clearly happened here." Sean said before the comms turned on.
"I'm in the system." Motoko said.
"Good. Can you tell us anything?" Sean asked.
"The whole place is deserted. I don't like it." Motoko said.
"Hows everything on your end?" Sean asked.
"I don't know whats been going on but the power in the facility has been cut. As long as thats in effect I can't do anything." Motoko said.
"Fine. We'll handle it." Sean said as the two left.
Arriving at where the generator was they found a dead body who had half his body torn off.
"Thats...Disturbing." Sean said.
"This guy's been eviscerated." Black Spider said.
"Wonder what could have done this." Sean said before going into the generator room.
"Ok lets see here." Sean said placing batteries in certain order before it turned on.
"We got power." Motoko said on comms.
"Yeah, Everything is powering up." Korra said.
Thats when Regina walked in.
"I assume you saw the Body outside?" Regina asked.
"You really need to ask?" Sean said before they heard some noises outside.
"Now what?" Regina asked as they went outside.
Outside they found Black Spider missing before seeing another huge hole in the fence like before.
"What the hell happened here?" Regina asked.
Thats when Sean noticed the body was gone making him narrow his eyes before they heard footsteps coming at them.
Only for a living breathing Dinosaur to be seen shocking them.
"What the hell?" Regina asked as it tried to jump on her but Sean blasted it with his spear gun pinning it to a wall.
"Ok...That was beyond random right there. Where did that come from?" Sean asked as he activated the comms. "Guys. We got a problem here." Sean said.
"Your telling us. The whole place is just empty. Theres not a soul around here." Deadshot said.
"For good reason. It's because they're all Dino food." Sean said.
"Say what?" Korra asked.
"Yeah. We just got attacked by a Giant ass lizard." Regina said.
"That doesn't make any sense. Dinosaurs have been extinct for millions of years." Motoko said.
"Maybe it has something to do with the experiments here." Sean said.
"You really think so?" Roberta asked.
"It's more than likely." Regina said.
"Ok. Everyone meet up in the surveillance room." Sean said as they left.
Soon everyone minus Black Spider met up.
"So let me get this straight. You two actually fought a living breathing Dinosaur?" Korra asked.
"A raptor. Happened right after Black Spider vanished." Sean said.
"What is going on here? Does this have to do with Kirk or Grendel Behind it?" Motoko asked.
"I doubt Grendel has anything to do with it. The Most likely cause is something here is not right. Our Spy said this was an energy project. It's possible theres more than that going on." Sean said.
"So how do we proceed?" Roberta asked.
"We should call in Lane and tell him the situation and get in some backup." Deadshot said.
"No. Not yet. Not until we know more about the situation. I don't wanna bring in the others till we know more. Cause if we do bring in others the odds are Kirk if he's alive could destroy his date to prevent us from obtaining it. And that is our primary mission." Sean said.
"He's right. Once we locate and capture Kirk then we'll bring in the others to contain the situation if things get out of hand." Motoko said.
"All right then." Sean said as they all left.
Sean had gone on his own arriving in an office room finding some disk keys before reading a procedure on how they worked.
"Guys. If you see any disk cards laying around make sure you take them. They're used to open certain doors." Sean said.
"Roger that." Deadshot said.
Finding some more along the way he arrived at the top floor to head to the chief's room.
Only to come face to face with a Raptor that growled at him.
"Oh please." Sean said stabbing the head with his Glaive.
Using the disks like before he inputed the code.
HEAD
"Simple code but effective." Sean said as he went in and found a survivor and approached him as he was bleeding out heavily.
"Are you with the rescue team?"
"No, but I can help you. Where is Dr Kirk?" Sean asked.
"Kirk? The Fool. Whats he plotting now?"
"What are you talking about as he died making him sigh before taking a couple cards off him seeing some codes at the bottom.
Seeing a safe he placed both cards in it and then entered the code.

Opening the safe he found an access card.
"This should work nicely." Sean said before lookin outside and widened his eyes jumping back as a T-REX of all things busted through the glass before taking the dead body.
"You must be joking me." Sean said as it roared at him before he took the table and smashed it's face hard making it roar again before leaving.
"What the hell was that?" Korra asked on the comms.
"THAT...Was a fucking rex of all things." Sean said.
"You gotta be kidding me." Regina said.
"No. Keep an eye out." Sean said.
Korra was downstairs having fended off a group of raptors before coming to another door that needed two disks and only had one.
"Does anyone have another Disk marked N?" Korra asked.
"I do." Regina said heading over.
Once she arrived she placed them in before inserting the code.
NEWCOMER
"These passwords are Childs play." Korra said.
"Maybe that was the point." Regina said as they went in.
Inside they found a dead body in a lab coat.
"Yikes. This is why Sean makes sure everything is done carefully in the labs at Global Tech and Legacy tech." Korra said.
"We still have no idea what happened." Regina said as they went out to the hall seeing more raptors before Korra sent earth spikes into them making them roar before dying. "I thought you never killed." Regina said.
"People. Besides we can't exactly just wound them expecting them to stay down." Korra said.
"Fair enough." Regina said as they went forward.
Arriving in some meeting room they found some key.
Thats when another Raptor ambushed Korra making her yell as she fell over.
Only for a knife to go through its head making them see black spider.
"There you are." Regina said.
"Sorry. My comms busted when I fell over. What the hell is that?" Black Spider asked.
"What do you think? It's a dinosaur." Korra said.
"You can't be serious." Black Spider said.
"Dead Serious. Something really wrong is going on here. This was supposed to be a simple retrieval mission." Regina said.
"Missions change all the time." Black Spider said.
"Not like this. There is something seriously wrong." Korra said.
"Well, we still got a job to do. And we can't just leave. Any sign of the Doc yet?" Black Spider asked.
"Nothing." Regina said.
"I gotta hook up with Kruger since my radio is down. I'll be in the surveillance room." Black Spider said leaving.
"This key leads to the other Generator where we all first started." Korra said.
"Roberta, Where are you?" Regina asked.
"Right outside the other Generator." Roberta said.
"Stay there. I'll be right there." Regina said as she rushed off.
Arriving at the Generator Regina used the Key to open it up before they went down.
"And how are we supposed to figure this out?" Roberta asked.
"Sean?" Regina called.
"Yeah?" Sean asked.
"How did you turn the other Generator on?" Regina asked.
"There are colored batteries inside the machine. Making sure they're lined up with the leavers in that color." Sean said.
"Copy that." Regina said doing just that before everything turned on.
"We're in the green. All the cameras are online." Motoko said.
"I want everyone back at the surveillance room." Sean said.
Soon enough everyone met up.
"Whats up?" Korra asked.
"I saw something flash by once the underground monitors turned on. Could be our doc." Sean said.
"What about the guy who was spying on the place? Tom was it?" Floyd asked.
"Thats right. He was the one who warned us that Kirk was here." Regina said.
"We can split up and do both. Black Spider and Roberta will go with me to the underground levels while Korra will lead her team to find our spy." Sean said.
"Works for me." Korra said as she left with Regina and Floyd while Motoko stayed.
Korra and her team arrived at a lifting area but ended up being attacked by Pteranodons.
"Oh hell." Regina said shooting them down.
Heading inside they found Tom badly wounded.
"Hey!" Korra yelled rushing to him using Water bending to heal him.
"They came from nowhere." Tom said weakly.
"Tom. What happened here? Is Grendel behind this?" Floyd asked.
"No...He hasn't nothing to do with this. Kirk's insane. His research has nothing to do with Energy projects." Tom said.
"He's in pretty bad shape. We need to get him out of here." Regina said.
Korra went to the Power Room to get the Elevator outside working which involved her moving colored pipes in the correct location.
"Ok let's get moving." Korra said as they headed to the lift.
"So what the hell is making these things appear?" Floyd asked with Tom on his shoulder.
"I have no idea. It has to do with Kirk's research though." Tom said as they appeared down below.
"Ok. You get Tom to the medical bay. We'll join up with Sean and the others." Korra said as they left.
Floyd took Tom to the Medical bay but didn't see the raptor in the room.
"Floyd look out!" Tom yelled pushing him out of the way. "CHEW ON THIS!" Tom yelled
Korra and Regina continued to head to the others when they heard gunfire.
"Oh that doesn't sound good." Regina said as they rushed back.
Arriving back they found Tom dead with a Raptor next to him.
"He didn't make it. Acted out on fear and got himself killed." Floyd said.
"Great." Korra said.
"Lets head back to the others." Floyd said.
"Hey, whats taking so long?" Sean asked on the comms.
"We found Tom. But before we could help him a Raptor killed him." Korra said.
"Damn." Sean said.
"How are things on your end?" Regina asked.
"Ah, We haven't found squat. Get down here and help us. It'll make things go by faster." Sean said.
"We're on our way." Korra said.
The group had to make an ID card in order to get down to the lower levels which required them using some steps in order to make it. (This is one of the benefits of youtube and online codes to know exactly what your doing without having to constantly read everything in the game and memorize it. Makes you wonder what'll happen in the remake if it ever comes out)
Still they were able to before going down.
"I don't like this." Regina said.
"Your telling me. Killing dinosaurs of all things." Korra said.
Thats when one tried to slash them from up top making them jump back before it was shot with a spear making them look seeing Sean who had his spear gun out.
"Nice timing." Korra said.
"You guys got any of those disks? We need them." Sean said.
"Yeah we found a couple on the way here." Regina said handing them to him before inserting them into the door inputing the code.
Laboratory
"These codes are easy to figure out once you read the manuals." Sean said as they went inside seeing Roberta and Black Spider.
"So any luck?" Korra asked.
"Nothing." Black Spider said.
"We should have brought the whole group with us." Roberta said.
"Tempting. But all of us being here for a recovery mission when it was supposed to be just that would have been overkill. Besides the seven of us are sufficient enough till we can call in some help." Sean said.
"Let's just find Kirk and get out of here." Korra said as they split up.
Korra went into one room seeing it was a gas chamber and saw one man inside it.
"Oh you gotta be kidding me." Korra said mixing the gases perfectly to cancel each other out.
"And Sean said I never took science seriously back then." Korra said amused.
"You didn't." Sean said behind her making her scream in shock making him chuckle.
"God I hate it when you do that." Korra said annoyed as they went inside to the survivor.
"Easy pal. Your gonna be ok." Sean said.
"That fool...What are you planning Kirk?"
"What is Kirk up to? We've seen the Dinosaurs. Did he make them?" Korra asked.
"No...They appeared from thin air. They overran us in minutes."
"Where is Kirk?" Sean asked.
"Don't know...But this will get you into his...Personal...Lab." He said before dying as he handed them a card.
"What a waste." Sean said as they stood up.
"How could they appear from Thin Air?" Korra asked.
"Any Number of Reasons. The Most logical is it has something to do with his Energy project." Sean said as they left.
Arriving at the Library room Sean had to rewirte the card they got to get into Kirk's Personal Lab.
"How do you always know how to do this stuff anyway?" Korra asked.
"My mother, My Enhancements...Oh yeah also because I'm just smarter than you." Sean said smugly making her growl before hitting him making him chuckle. "Makes you wonder if the boys inherit most of my genes." Sean said.
"As long as they can all Water Bend I don't care." Korra said as Sean finished up.
"This will help us get in." Sean said as they left.
Arriving at his lab they both activated the keys before a secret door opened up.
"And of course it needs the two disks." Korra said.
"Anyone find any more disks?" Sean asked on comms.
"I did." Regina said.
"I got one too." Floyd said.
Arriving to them Sean inserted them in before inputing the code.
ENERGY
Opening the door Sean and Korra went inside.
Inside they found some kind of vortex in the room.
"What the hell is that?" Korra asked.
"Must be the side effects of Kirk's experiments." Sean said as he shut it down.
"And he's not even here. I'm beginning to think he's dead." Korra said.
"Someone like that doesn't die so easily." Sean said as they went outside.
"He ain't here is he?" Floyd asked.
"Nope." Sean said before alarms went off.
"Damnit! Kirk must have tripped the security alarm." Floyd said.
"I got it." Sean said messing with the power supply before it stopped.
"Nice." Regina said.
"I hate to be the bringer of bad news but it looks like a lot of Dinos are in your area." Motoko said on the comms.
"Is there anyway around them?" Regina asked.
"There are two options. You can either go out the way you came guns blazing. Or you can use an emergency escape route in the Lab." Motoko said.
"We'll go out the way we came and clear out as many of them as you can if you can't crack the security system." Sean said as he, Floyd and Black Spider left.
Korra, Regina and Roberta hacked into the system to activate the escape hatch before it opened.
"Nice work." Regina said as they went in and came out to the loading areas.
"Hold it right there." Korra said seeing Doctor Kirk.
"There you are." Regina said.
"And Might I ask who you ladies are?" Kirk asked.
"Hello Kirk." Sean said.
"Kruger. It's been a long time." Kirk said.
"You know each other?" Korra asked surprised since he never said anything.
"We have a history. What have you done?" Sean asked.
"Part of my experiment if you will. And part of the reason I vanished for 3 years." Kirk said.
"Meaning what? Your little experiment killed innocent people." Black Spider said.
"Relax. I thought I could contain it. Sadly that wasn't possible. My experiment was more dangerous than anticipated." Kirk said.
"You knew this was gonna happen?" Regina asked.
"In short yes. But not like this. I suppose I should have made better contingency plans but it's too late now." Kirk said.
"Doesn't matter. Your coming with us. Korra get the communications up and call in some back up. I want the League and the rest of the Pack here." Sean said.
"You can't do this! I have rights!" Kirk yelled.
"You brought living breathing dinosaurs here. You really think you have any rights for the deaths of hundreds? I don't think so. Now wheres the communication center?" Sean asked.
When he didn't answer Floyd aimed at him.
"Take the Elevator up." Kirk said.
"We need a card for that area. We know you got one. Hand it over doc." Korra said making him do so.
"Ok. Everyone head back to the Heliport." Sean said.
"Where are you going?" Korra asked.
"I am going to look and see if theres any information on this Third Energy and see if it can be weaponized. Then Destroy it." Sean said.
"I thought our mission was to bring it back?" Regina asked.
"That was before. I can't risk Grendel getting his hands on this stuff if it can do this." Sean said.
"He's right. We need to find all information on it and destroy it." Black Spider said.
"Besides there are more risks involved with it if we don't. If this stuff can bring dinosaurs back from the past...Who's to say it can'e wipe us out in our early years?" Sean asked.
"Thats actually a good point." Korra said.
So while Sean was doing his mission Korra set up the communication array.
As she walked out however she felt heavy footsteps.
"Oh no." Korra said as the doors locked.
"Korra? What happened? all the doors shut in your area." Motoko said on the comms.
"A little busy right now. Do something about it." Korra said the Rex again as she ran off before she earth bended it in the face making it roar in pain before leaving.
"I got it." Motoko said.
"Bout time." Korra said going inside and contacted Lane.
"Korra? Whats the status of the Mission?" Lane asked.
"Abridged version. Mission complete. But we have a bigger problem. We need a full response down here." Korra said.
"Whats going on?" Lane asked.
"I don't know how or why but Kirk's energy experiment opened a rift in time bringing dinosaurs here. We can't risk any of them getting off the island and causing trouble." Korra said.
"I understand. I'll send in the others to help you deal with the situation." Lane said.
"Good. We'll have Kirk escorted back to base while we deal with this." Korra said.
Soon enough everyone arrived at the Heliport.
"There you are." Motoko said.
"Wheres Sean?" Korra asked not seeing him.
"Probably still looking for some of the left over data." Regina said as the ground shook as the others arrived.
"Whats that sound?" GA asked as the Rex busted through and roared.
"Oh you gotta be kidding me." Korra said annoyed as they ran off in different directions as Kirk bolted.
Arriving back at the lift they all went further down.
"Please tell me I did not just see that?" Flash asked.
"A dinosaur? Yeah. Kirk's little energy experiment brought them here. And we have no idea how. Thats why we brought you guys in." Korra said.
"And it's only getting worse and now Kirk is gone again." Regina said as the gates opened up as Sean was seen putting a new Battery in the Main Generator.
"What are you doing here?" Green Arrow asked.
"I got all the intel I needed and some other things. Apparently Kirk left out some details about the Third Energy experiment." Sean said.
"Like what?" Batman asked.
"He knew this was gonna happen. And he ignored the signs of danger in favor of his own experiments." Sean said.
"We need to find him." Red Hood said.
"I want everyone to split up." Sean said as they did so into groups.
Korra arrived in the Third energy generator room seeing the massive machine.
"I found the Third Energy Generator room." Korra said.
"See if you can turn it on. Doing so might cancel out the effects." Sean said.
"Hang on." Korra said.
Korra tried activating the Generator but nothing worked.
"AHHH!" Korra yelled annoyed.
"Whats wrong?" Batman asked.
"I need a fucking key card to start this thing up. And I need two components. An Initializer and Stabilizer." Korra said before hearing a gunshot making her rush out seeing a dead woman and bloody footprints making her follow.
Arriving in a room a gun was pointed at her.
"Don't move." Kirk said.
Only for a Batarang to hit him.
"AHHH!" Kirk yelled in pain as Sean held him in a choke hold.
"Big mistake pal." Sean said.
"We got him in his quarters. Sending location." Batman said.
"Roger that." Spartan said.
Soon enough everyone arrived.
"So let me get this straight. You knew those things would show up?" Flash asked.
"Not exactly. I thought the Third Energy would allow me transfer a selective space to anywhere in the present. However that wasn't exactly true. Instead of transferring it the space was exchanged." Kirk said.
"So those Dinosaurs lived in this Area years ago before they became extinct." Korra said.
"Exactly. Of course though I will be honest what you're seeing now was not what I intended. I thought I could control it but that wasn't the case." Kirk said.
"So how do we stop it?" Green Arrow asked.
"Not so simple I'm afraid. The Island has already been compromised due to the fact that the Third Energy can no longer be contained. The only way to stop it would be to destroy the entire island. Oh but wait...The League doesn't use nukes. And the United States can't afford to send one or face ridicule by the Government that owns this island. So in truth...Theres nothing you can do about it." Kirk said.
Sean got in his face taking off his mask before smirking.
"You sure about that?" Sean asked making him frown.
Sean opened up his self destruct device before pressing a few buttons before throwing it on the wall as it started beeping.
"The blast radius is 3 times bigger than the nuke that first hit Japan in the 1940's." Sean said.
"YOU CAN'T DO THIS!" Kirk yelled.
"Unless you got something that can prevent me from doing this." Sean said.
"GRRR! Overload the Generator and it'll cancel out all the Effects." Kirk said making Sean shut it down.
"How do we do that? I already tried. We're missing two components." Korra said.
"They're in the storage area." Kirk said.
"And clearly we need a card." Batman said making him scoff.
"If you think I have it on me forget it." Kirk said.
"Don't need one from you. We can just make one from a machine we found earlier." Korra said grinning.
"Lets get to it." Sean said.
Later
Soon the whole machine started to turn on and overloaded canceling out the effects it previously had.
"You realize we can't contain this anymore right?" Regina asked.
"Don't need to." Sean said as they were in an underground heliport with a large helicopter big enough for everyone.
"This island will be sent back in time. We'll tell Rip what happened and he'll fix the rest." Batman said.
"Let's move." Korra said.
Only for the Rex To Come out and roar.
"You guys go on ahead. I'll be right there." Sean said.
"Oh brother." Motoko said as they took off while the Rex charged at him.
The others flew out of the place seeing it getting sucked into itself.
"It's about to go way back." Floyd said.
Suddenly the whole place vanished leaving nothing behind.
Sean flew right by them with the Rex's head in hand.
"Now tell me this is not the best trophy I've gotten in a while." Sean said making them chuckle.
"That'll look nice at the Hall." Korra said.
Later
The Rex's skull was put right next to the Xenomorph queen and the Meg.
"Nice addition." Lane said impressed.
"Been many years since I've seen one of these." Wolf said impressed.
"I do what I can with What I've got." Sean said.
"So what happened to Kirk and the Third Energy data?" Thea asked.
"Kirk has been imprisoned for life for his actions which could have been disastrous. As for the Data. We handed it over to Rip and let him study and then they'll destroy it to make sure it never falls into the wrong hands." Sean said.
"And rightfully so." Rip said walking in.
"How bad is it?" Oliver asked.
"Like Sean said it could have ended up preventing us from being created. The Island has been returned to its proper place and the Dinosaurs have all been sent back to their original timeline." Rip said.
"As for the Data it's been completely erased to make sure Grendel can't get his hands on it." Ava said.
Meanwhile
Grendel was looking over some plans he had before Prometheus walked in.
"You didn't send any of us to collect the Third Energy." Prometheus said.
"Nope. Because I know that stuff is more dangerous than all of us combined and even he knows that. Hence why he no doubt destroyed it to prevent another incident." Grendel said.
"How do you know the things you do before they even happen? What are you not telling us?" Prometheus asked.
"All you need to know is that you'll all get what you want...And I'll get my revenge." Grendel said.
"Revenge for what? I and the others all have axes to grind against our old enemies. But you...No one knows anything about you." Prometheus said.
"There are reasons for that." Grendel said.
Later
Sean arrived back at the penthouse to relax while Korra went to visit her parents back home with the boys.
"I swear one of these days I need a take a long leave of absence." Sean said.
"I could go for that."

"Hello. What brought this on?" Sean asked.

In the middle of her stomach were two swords crossed together while above her sex was a set of angel wings.
On both her legs were snakes wrapped around them down to her feet and on her arms were tribunal symbols.
"I never liked Tattoos till we met. I think they suit me though." Regina said as she kissed him making him kiss back.
