Buck doesn't hate Halloween. It's just not really his thing, especially with Maddie gone right now. So when Eddie and Christopher find out that Buck doesn't have any plans to celebrate this year, Christopher finds that completely unacceptable and decides he's spending it with them. Buck took charge after the interstate exchange collapse. He held the 118 together and did everything right. He was a superhero! He climbed walls, sawed through doors, hung from ropes, and got all of his injured loved ones the help they needed. But he missed one detail. He never noticed that he was injured, too...until it caught up to him.

Buck decides that he can't wait to meet the right woman, he wants to make his own family now. This puts him in the perfect place to become the new family his niece needs when her parents are unable to be there for her. The support he and Jee receive from those around him make him realise he already has the family he has been dreaming of.

Alisa Diaz and her family have moved to Los Angeles, California from El Paso, Texas. They wanted to start fresh after all the pressure they were experiencing from her husband's family and most importantly, a fresh start for the most wonderful child in the world.
