Lola woke up on the 15th as Lana was playing with Kat and Ana's pets.
Luke left for Oakley Academy with Shane after leaving the twins' gifts from them with the other family gifts. They had a lot of last-minute Final Fling preparations to do as it was Friday and the dance was tomorrow. Luke was texting Oliver as he walked into the school.
"Hey, are you coming? You were supposed to be here 20 minutes ago." Luke texted.
Oliver soon arrived.
"Are you ready to prepare for the Fling?" Luke asked as Oliver nodded.
The next day was the day of the Final Fling. Luke and Shane modeled their tuxedos in front of Shane's big mirror. Kat was having a hard time adjusting, but Ana enjoyed getting pampered.
"Ana, we need to go." Kat says.
"We just had an epic battle last week!" Ana says.
"Yes, but we need to get stronger. I reserved a spot for us in the mountains. We'll train for 3 days." Kat says.
"Oh, no can do, girls. You have plans with me today." Charity says. "You're going to see the kind of work I do."
"Do we have to?" Kat asked.
"I wanna see Miss Charity's work!" Ana says as she eagerly follows Charity. Kat follows close behind.
Soon, they arrive at Royal Woods City Hall.
"Ladies, this is where I work." Charity smiled as she showed them around.
Kat had run off during it as Ana looked for Kat. She soon finds Kat at a vending machine.
"Kat, Miss Huntington-Miller will be mad!" Ana says. "She's the mayor of this town!"
"But it's a city of hall and the mayor's work sounds boring." Kat says as Ana used ropes to tie Kat up and drag her.
"Let me go!" Kat says.
They soon come into the office as they see the plans for the Gala Of Goodness.
"Oh, interesting, Penny's party." Kat says.
"They'll be presenting the prize money to Remy there, and he'll give most of it to the hospital for the children's ward and the hospital's leukemia research." Charity says.
"Oh." they say.
"But the Diamond Dolphin will also be presented to Remy at this gala for his commitment to his Good Samaritan work, while Shelby is also getting the same award for her charitable contributions to this city." Charity says.
"I wish I got an award." Kat admitted. "The only thing we've ever won was gourmet masters." Kat says.
"An award?" Ana asked as Kat nodded. "Ninjas of the year."
"You girls will be there, right?" Charity asked.
"If we're free." Kat says.
"You're invited to attend. And I think Shelby would love it if you were there." Charity says.
With Luke, he was helping prepare for that night's dance. He and Shane were hanging up the murals and decorations in the gym.
"So, who did you ask to the Final Fling?" Luke asked Shane.
"Penny." Shane says. "I do hope she knows this is a formal dance…"
Meanwhile Oliver needed a partner for ANH Season 8. He finally found Cynthia. He also asked her to Oakley Academy's Final Fling because Luan was going to her junior prom with Benny. Of course, Cynthia told him yes.
Cynthia was trying to find the perfect dress for tonight. She didn't want to wear just any old dress.
She decided to make her own. Fashion was her thing, after all.
Mugman was putting on his blue tuxedo while Cuphead was wearing a new red tuxedo.
"Boys, you look so handsome." Elder Kettle says.
"Tonight will be a fun night." Mugman says.
"We're going stag…whatever that means." Cuphead says.
"That means you're going without dates." Elder Kettle says.
"Right." Cuphead says.
With Penny, she looked at the Springtime In Venice-themed invitation she received from Shane.
"What to wear…I gotta ask Mona." Penny says, knowing Mona had nice dresses.
"What is that you have there?" Mona asked, pointing to Penny's invitation. Penny blushed and explained.
"Shane invited me to his school's Final Fling, and I don't have anything nice for it!" Penny says.
Mona holds Penny, attempting to calm her down. "I've got just the thing." Mona says. She soon took out a pink dress with some green sequins on the skirt.
"Whoa!" Penny says. "I like it, thank you!"
"No problem!" Mona says as Ashley was making a potion.
"Ashley, what are you doing here?" Penny asked.
"Kat and Ana made me jealous." Ashley admitted.
"How?" Penny asked.
"They have a new family now. My parents fear me." Ashley says.
"You should move in with them, Mona can't really look after you." Penny says.
"They won't accept me." Ashley says.
"Oh, I should get ready for the dance, too. I got an invite myself!" Mona says.
"From who?" Penny asked.
"A very charismatic cup character." Mona says. "Both of our names start with M."
Later Haiku was getting ready. Remy was taking her.
Haiku came down in a black dress as Stephen was in a black tuxedo with a fancy cupcake-themed bow tie.
Maggie sees this.
"Why are you two so dressed up?" Maggie asked. They explained as she felt lonely.
"Mugsy, tell me about this girl you invited to the dance…" Cuphead says. "What is she like?"
"Hard working, helped make that microgame for Remy…and she's the most beautiful redhead I've ever laid my eyes on…" Mugman says.
Meanwhile…
"We all know they missed our birthday, but ninjas never break their promises. We need to attend Penny's birthday." Kat says
"That was last week." Ana says "Remember?"
Kat began to have a flashback.
Flashback
Penny shot missles to the Shake King, causing explosions.
He was glaring. He shot lightning as everyone dodged. He tried punching Mario and Wario and they punched his fists, causing a soundwave as Luigi and Waluigi stomp on his head.
Angry Luigi and Wandy speed around causing a tornado as Alem tuber and Wlem leap and punch him down
Leo ran past them all as Penny tripped him. Kat and Ana leap and kick him, sending him flying.
Syrup tries running, but Mario and Wario knock out her gang and smirk. The crew soon cheered.
Soon, they were all celebrating in the castle as Diddy Kong and Dixie Kong play with Kat and Ana, Donkey Kong was eating bananas, and Amy and Cream helped Peach bake a cake.
"That must have been some adventure." Sonic says as Angry Luigi and Alem tuber left
"Oh, yeah!" Mario says
Penny sees the cake as her mouth watered. "Thanks, guys!" Penny says.
"Oh, yeah, that cake was awesome. Wario is really making us do more games. I think it's because Remy and Luke are what people talk about these days." Kat says
"I can't believe we met Sonic the Hedgehog" Ana says.
"And the Espio guy? What a cool ninja!" Kat says.
"You think this means we'll go to other worlds soon?" Ana asked
"As soon as we get stronger." Kat says.
"I feel bad for Penny. She got turned into a golden statue on her birthday." Ana says.
Soon, Penny came out of her teleporting device with Mona. Shane's jaw dropped when he saw Penny. Mugman was trying to contain his excitement when he saw Mona.
"Hi, Mugsy-boy…" Mona says. Mugman was tongue-tied.
Cuphead groaned. "I need a girlfriend. Mugsy has been overshadowing me too much." Cuphead says as he texted Lucy. She had blocked him.
With Luke, he was in the limo, picking up Oliver and Cynthia for the dance.
He noticed Cynthia's limo. Luke wasn't the only rich one. Cynthia stepped out of it and walked up to Luke's limo with Oliver.
"It's time to have some fun!" Luke says.
Cecilia closed the limo door, arms crossed.
"Oh, brother…this should go well." Cynthia says with sarcasm.
"What's wrong?" Oliver asked.
"Last time we talked, you said girls can't win, and you never apologized." Cynthia says.
"I'm pretty sure I…Oh, right, I forgot…" Oliver says. "Oh, and I have female siblings who actually won the show this season. With me."
Soon, they arrive at Oakley Academy. The entire school looked like the entrance to the Grand Canal in springtime. And they saw the gym looked like Venice, Italy.
Angry Luigi had actually bailed on Colleen for the event and was ready for a nice night alone when he heard a knock on the door. He opened it to see a fuming Colleen.
Alem tuber slammed the door, breaking her wrist.
"Randy!" Skylia says.
"What?" He asked.
"That wasn't for you." Skylia says, healing Colleen's wrist.
"Come on, Brandy, we're late!" Colleen says, dragging Brandy behind her.
Mona, Mugman, Shane, Penny, and Cuphead arrived at the school. Girls screamed seeing Shane.
"I have a date with Penny Crygor tonight. It's time to dance the night away!" Shane says.
Mugman and Mona were smiling at each other as they took pictures together with Mugman's phone.
A girl soon notices Cuphead.
"Hey." Cuphead says.
"Well, hello yourself!" The girl says to Cuphead. "You clean up good…"
"What's your name?" Cuphead asked.
"My name is Bliss." she says.
Angry Luigi froze. "Bliss?!" He asked.
"Hey, you know her?" Cuphead asked.
"She's the sister of the Powerpuff Girls." Angry Luigi says.
"That doesn't matter. Let's dance!" Colleen says as the band plays on stage.
"Someon-" Brandy tries to say as Colleen spun him around.
Penny goes to drink some punch. Mona joins her.
"Mugsy is such a dreamboat…" Mona says, getting herself a cup of punch. "He is so easy on the eyes…"
"Are you going to?" Penny asked.
"Yeah, I've done it before." Mona says.
"No, I meant enter ANH with him." Penny says.
"Eh, probably not, I'm too busy with part time jobs. Plus Wario." Mona says.
"Maybe we could make a game based on ANH. That should keep Wario busy." Penny says.
"Great thinking!" Mona says.
"Oh, my little dreamboat…where'd ya go?" Mugman says, looking for Mona.
"Penny, my love, they're gonna play our song soon!" Shane says.
"The one you wrote?" Mona asked Penny.
Penny shook her head. "It's a song me and Shane listened to on the radio and declared it our song." She says.
"Poor Penny, they should play your song. The one Shane sang." Mona says.
"It is what it is. I am a bit sick of hearing my song right now, anyway." Penny says.
Meanwhile, Kat wakes up Ana as Ana sees they were in the woods and shrieked, but Kat covered her mouth.
"Quiet! Listen, tonight Is the night. We can't be a burden and risk getting them in danger." Kat says.
"But…but…" Ana sniffed.
"Come on." Kat says as Ana reluctantly follows.
Meanwhile, Alem tuber gets on Jack's bus.
"We're going to invade that party now!" Alem tuber says as Jack drives to the Fling. Alem tuber speeds over and grabs Angry Luigi and leaves just like that as Colleen sobbed hard.
Remy and Haiku were dancing the night away as the band soon played Shane and Penny's song that they like, "Walk This Way" by Aerosmith.
The two of them squealed as others joined them on the dance floor.
Colleen goes to Brandy's house, but Emma pies Colleen in the face.
Skylia was furious as she made Emma go to her room. Because that wasn't Colleen she pied in the face. That was Charity.
Emma froze. She couldn't see well in the dark.
"Well, I never!" Charity says, walking off.
"Charity! I'm so sorry! Emma can't see well in the dark…" Skylia says "Wait, why are you here?"
"To invite you all to the gala, of course. But now I see how your kids really behave when the mayor of Royal Woods comes to visit." Charity says.
"It was an accident." Emma sniffed.
"Why did you have it in the first place?" Skylia asked.
"Because that Colleen girl won't take no for an answer. She dragged Brandy to the dance." Randy says.
"Upstairs. To your rooms. AT ONCE!" Skylia screamed. They go off as Randy glared at Brandy.
"I should have left you to suffer with Colleen." Randy grumbles as he grabs Brandy and tossed him to the window, breaking it.
"I'm so sorry for my kids." Skylia says.
"If they behave like this at the gala, it won't look good for your family." Charity says as she leaves.
"Here, take your stupid boyfriend and take him forever." Randy says shoving Brandy to Colleen and storms off. Colleen hugged Brandy.
At the dance, the band was playing "Pour Some Sugar On Me". Colleen arrived as Brandy frowned, clearly not happy.
Mugman and Mona were dancing wildly. Luke was dancing with most of the cheer squad.
"Is there anything other than dancing, because it's about to be 9 and grandpa wants me home at 10." Penny says.
"It's only 7:30!" Shane says, frowning.
"Yeah, and this event is starting to scare me a bit. From the stories I heard…" Penny says.
"Oh, yeah, someone died at my last one." Mona says "4 people died."
"What happened?" Penny asked.
"They got into the car and drove off a cliff." Mona says. "Cause they took the forbidden challenge."
"There's the King and Queen of the Final Fling, then there's the photo booth, and the bounce house…" Luke listed off a lot of things. "And the cake eating contest."
"Your cake?" Penny asked.
"Nope, not my cake. Stephen's family bakery sponsors the contest every year." Luke says. "They make all the cakes for the contest and the winner gets quite the prize…"
"I don't think I'll enter. I can't stomach it. I'm not Ashley." Penny says.
Brandy tries to run, but Colleen cuffs their hands together. Brandy looks at the 4th wall. "This is abuse right here and no one questions this, because apparently, I'm the villain."
The cake contest soon begins. Cuphead had entered it and so had Shane. Penny signed up for it as it was about to begin.
"Brandy, we're entering. Is the cake chocolate?" Colleen asked.
"There's multiple kinds of cake here." Stephen says. '
"I hate blueberries." Oliver says as Brandy had fire in his eyes. Mocking blueberries was a trigger point, considering he loves blueberries.
Soon, it began as the crowd kept chanting. Penny ate 2 full cakes and groaned.
"One more, one more, one more!" They chanted as this went on until Penny had 5.
"Pen, chill!" Mona says as Penny looks at Mona with an odd look, then looks at Shane as she falls on the floor. Then starts writing equations on the wall. This was her idea of a sugar high.
Cuphead had eaten 20 cakes. To be fair, he isn't human and he's a sugar addict.
"Penny's not in her right mind. Let's play the forbidden challenge that I saw in Mona's diary." Cuphead says.
"Hey!" Mona says.
Cuphead poured soda into a bucket. "The soda challenge, that was it?" Luke asked as that was planned.
"Disappointing." Shane says as everyone was hyped up to get super drunk or something. Cuphead feeds it to Penny.
For a moment, nothing happened before Penny started zipping around as her body was unable to stay still.
"My turn!" Luke says.
Later, Principal Pearson stepped into the gym. Penny bumped into her by mistake as Mona finally grabbed Penny. "Oh, my, gosh…I'm so sorry!" Mona says.
She put smelling salt under Penny's nose to snap her out of it.
"What was in that?" Penny asked.
"All the sodas in one bottle…plus 10 truck loads of sugar. You may need to see a dentist after tonight." Mona says.
"I hate the dentist!" Penny says.
Soon, it was time to go to the bounce house. Shane sat out and so did Luke.
Dr. Crygor had to do dental work on Penny himself. "Grandpa, quit following me everywhere I go!" Penny says as she tries to get out of the dental chair.
"It's for your own good." He says as he works on Penny's teeth.
Haiku sat outside, not wanting to bounce, but she saw something shocking. Pam was kissing Remy.
Haiku gasped and cried.
Dr. Crygor soon fixed Penny's teeth. Penny sniffed. She hated the dentist.
Oliver and Cynthia bounce together. Luke just sat and watched.
Shane sat by Luke, watching the fun happen.
Penny came to Shane. "Okay, let's bounce!" she says. She leads him in as they start bouncing.
Luke sat there, looking down. The cheer squad comforts him.
"You went on an adventure without me?' Alvin asked as Randy was with his pals.
"Ugh, it wasn't my choice, okay?" he says.
"Why do you want an adventure so bad?" Simon asked.
"New sights and new tours." Alvin says.
"Nope. My friends are still recovering from their injuries and the idiot got me in this mess." Randy says.
Meanwhile, Brandy was still handcuffed to Colleen. He wanted to go home, but knew Colleen would snitch to Charity and Charity would tell Colleen's mom, who is the Michigan governess.
Brandy tries to crawl to Luke. "Luke, save me! I don't even want to be here!" he whispered. Colleen took Brandy to the photo booth as Luke just looked on.
"Oh, we're going to enter ANH and this time, you're not dropping out like you did last time." Colleen says. "If Luke can win, so can I. I'm the only one in this friend group who hasn't won a competition." she says. Brandy gulped.
Soon, Mona and Mugman go to get their pictures taken. They sat in the gondola boat and smiled for the camera. Mona snuck a kiss as Mugman blushed.
Next was Oliver and Cynthia. They smiled for their pictures and posed nicely.
Shane and Penny were very photogenic. They took good pictures.
Luke took his picture by himself. He didn't smile. Chalice felt bad for him as he left the gym.
"I'm really scared." Ana says.
"We're going to find Dad." Kat says.
"Are you insane?" Ana asked.
At Oakley Academy's Final Fling, Luke sat as most of the couples were dancing again. He had casted his vote for the king and queen of the dance already. It didn't make much of a difference to him as he just wanted to go home at this point.
He went off to get some food and just tuned everything out. Haiku was leaving, feeling the way Luke was feeling right now.
The band was playing "Brick House" by The Commodores as Shane and Penny danced among the others. Lynn goes up to Luke.
"What do you want, Lynn?" Luke sniffed.
"Are you okay?" Lynn asked. Luke sniffed, shaking his head.
Kat and Ana were trying to climb a mountain as Ana looked like she would faint.
Kat grumbles and tries to help her as she is carrying her.
"Kat, please…" Ana sniffed.
Kat didn't listen, but she tripped on a rock and the two were falling, but Kat caught on to an edge while holding Ana.
"Help!" Ana sniffed.
Griffin was on patrol when he saw this. He got the girls to safety.
"Are you girls okay?" Griffin asked after he got them back to the manor.
Ana was fighting back tears as Kat sighed.
"Ninjas don't cry! We needed that training!" Kat says.
"What you did was dangerous, Kat. I'm taking Ana up for a bath and putting her to bed. You go to the living room and wait for me there." Charity says.
Kat sighed and sat on the couch as Charity gave Ana a warm bath and took her to bed. She then came downstairs, not pleased.
Kat looks at Charity. "I'm sorry. I just wanted to find our father…it had been so long…" Kat says.
"I know how you feel, sweetie. I lost my father a long time ago due to heart problems. But I found ways to cope with that. If your father is out there, then he'll be found one way or another. What you did today was dangerous and you and your sister could have gotten hurt or worse. Ana is lucky to be okay. But I don't want to see you trying this again, okay? I understand that ninjas don't do a lot of things, but dangerous stuff is something kids your age shouldn't try to do." Charity says to Kat.
Meanwhile it was time to announce the king and queen of the Final Fling.
Cynthia looks on, but knows she shouldn't get her hopes up.
"Okay, the time has finally come! It's time to crown the king and queen of this year's Final Fling!" Principal Pearson says. "It wasn't easy, counting all those votes, but now we finally have a winner!"
She pulls out the envelope containing the winners' names.
"Without further ado, it gives me great pleasure to give you this year's Final Fling king and queen…Shane Loud and Penny Crygor!" Principal Pearson says.
Penny was stunned by this as Shane took her hand. They stepped on stage as Shane smiled.
"Thank you all…" Penny says as she gets her crown.
"What an honor!" Shane says, smiling as he gets his crown.
"Way to go, Penny!" Mona says. Penny smiled as she soon slow danced with Shane. It had been an amazing night.
After the dance, Luke sadly left as the others took off to the Royal Springs Hotel to "do it". Luke just walked home alone.
Kat looks at Ana, who is fast asleep.
"Sorry, sis…" Kat says quietly, sitting next to her sleeping sister.
Luke didn't go home that night. He just cried outside of the cups' place in town. Elder Kettle took pity on him and let him inside.
Shane and Penny were at the hotel, making love to each other. Colleen was dragging Brandy into the hotel as Brandy wanted to go home.
"Why me?" Brandy whined.
Colleen smiled and began to kiss Brandy as he screamed in terror.
"I don't want this!" he cried.
"It's Final Fling tradition." Colleen says.
"I don't want to be a part of this!" Brandy screamed.
"Oh, I see…" Colleen says. "You still aren't getting out of ANH next season, however."
With Luke, Lucy finds him. Luke was hissing as he ate the cookies Elder Kettle made.
"What's wrong?" She asked.
"If you make me date Haiku, I will lose it!" Luke hissed.
"Huh?" Lucy asked. "No, Haiku is with Remy."
He then explained as Lucy felt bad for Haiku.
She holds Luke. "I know what will cheer you up. The gala." Lucy says.
"How is that going to cheer me up?" Luke asked.
"It will be about you. You love parties about you." Lucy says.
"It won't just be about me, you know." Luke says. Lucy sat with him as they were soon asleep on Elder Kettle's couch.
