Spider-Verse Preview

In a space between universes, an alarm went off. The screen displayed a creature of darkness seemingly flying through their void. He tore apart all defenses, making his way to Earth.

Or rather, a Earth.

"Him again?! I thought we beat him twice already!"

"I definitely remember. It seems Morlun has returned from the grave again."

"Nothing ever ends in these parts."

"We have to stop him! Who knows what he'll do unchecked?!"

"That's why're going to stop him.

A black haired teenage girl entered the cockpit of her mecha. An elongated demon, tempered by a red and blue color scheme, the girl would need it against the coming threat.

"Peni Parker, ready to launch."

She looked to her comrades. Takuya Yamashiro, wearing the closest to a traditional Spider-Man costume. Sho Amano, a smaller young adult with a J hidden within his spider-symbol. Yu Komori, who only wore a trenchcoat and a mess of locks. They were her only resource against an unstoppable enemy.

"We are ready." Takuya said. "Launch!"

Peni piloted her SP/dr Suit, a gift from her father, into the void. She followed Morlun to the random Earth…

"Hahahahahahaha… HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

He held his head back and laughed. How could he not? He had Spider-Man in his mercy, the rest of the Spider-Clan trapped in a cell in which they could not escape, and the best part? Kaworu Nagisa remained in the capsule, his life-force being sucked dry.

"S-Shinji…" He let out. "Run…"

Spider-Man crawled back up, even as beaten and bloodied as he was. "Y-you're going pay for what you've done!"

Clad in his green and violet apparel, the demonic shape of his mask showed his true colors. The Green Goblin continued his awful, laughter delighted in the pain and misery of Shinji Ikari.

"What can you do, Spider?" He continued. "Everything has been according my scenario… you've done your part, certainly, but no more! You have to die!"

"Why?" Shinji asked. "Just… why do all of this? Torture Kaworu? Try to kill the other world's Mayumi? Why are you targeting us personally?

The Goblin glared at him. "All of you? No, you're just bumps in the road. No, this is about you. It's always been about you."

He took off his mask. Shinji was shocked at who was behind it.

"No…"

"I can't exist in a world where you are happy while I'm not. I'm going to see it that ALL OF REALITY DIES!"

Remember what I said about posting it after Christmas? Well, I realized I was going to be quite busy that week, so I cranked it out.

I did a lot of research before doing Spider-Shinji. I watched the Toei Spider-Man series, read the two popular Spider-Man manga, and even read the original Peni Parker's adventures. It turned out it wasn't quite necessary for the fic, but I enjoyed these characters enough that I wanted to a fic with them. I felt Shinji, Asuka and Rei interacting with them was a strong enough idea for a fic. I'm especially looking forward to Shinji interacting with Takuya Yamashiro, given they share a few things in common. ;)

Why yes, including the real Green Goblin is to make up for the Holy Goblin's shitty existence why do you ask? There is more to him and Morlun, which you'll see once the fic is out. These scenes are more demonstrations of what the fic will be about than real scenes, but you get the gist.
