It's another Scarlet chapter but that's OK. This is for her actual birthday party. I told you I'd do it in a separate chapter because it would been too long if I put it in the other. Also, I want to clarify that she was 10 years old, and in the other chapter, but only a day or so away from turning 11 she'll be 11 throughout the rest of this, not the rest of the story, but the rest of this chapter after her birthday party, it'll start on her actual 11th birthday which is a few days maybe two or three days after the shell collecting day all right then just wanted to clarify that.
scarlets POV
today was the big day mama Helena was having a big birthday party for me today I was turning 11, and my new friend, Jason Wynn was coming to celebrate with me
course my best friend was also here, and I was grateful for him to be here with me, and that we were on this journey together even though it was just the four of us it was enough for a small party like this I miss Claire, but it was but it was OK. I'll see Claire again someday I hope.
you look cute mama Helen said to come to just my outfit turning 11 makes me feel not old, but two years from becoming a teenager and teenage feelings, letting go of being a little girl and becoming an adult soon was something I didn't think about but now that it's getting closer to that time I had to think about it my birthday cake was done. I went to my room and finished up my last finishing touches. This is gonna be a perfect party. I thought I also said that out loud as well as happy that my two best friends were going to be there and my oldest best friend was like a brother, but not a brother. It's gonna be there too.
I came out and finished up and the party guests were here. Jason Gwen was here now. We had Mama Helena's specialty Griffin eggs. We also had fish because they fished it from the ocean shellfish I love fish I think because I come from a town of fishermen.
we sat down for dinner a spread was pulled out before we had cake. There was everything from the Griffin egg sandwiches to the fish. We ate everything and ate our fill before cake though and before that, after we had dinner, we played some games.
Then it was time to open presents for Mama Helena and Father Julius and Jason Gwen. It was a wonderful great birthday ever best 11th birthday I ever had hugged my three friends. The only person that was missing was my friend Claire and I hugged my two adopted parents who were more my guardians, but I didn't care. I love them like parents like a mother and father even though I didn't call them that.
But I love them like parents. They kept me safe and protected from my brother, even though he couldn't find me here on the coast.
As everyone started to leave well actually it was time for cake now after opening presents the cake was good it was pretty but then it was more delicious than anything else. It was sea salt, chocolate-covered cake. It was yummy I love chocolate more than anything.
As we said goodbye, it was time to say good night after cake and ice cream. It was a magical night and an incredible 11th birthday.
Then it was time to go to bed. I crawled under the covers and relaxed, knowing that the knowing that everything was gonna be OK now I was 11 years old and I had a new life even more than when I was three I had a new family who loved me new friends who cared about me And that's all that matters right but our lies we're going to change soon not now, but eventually it is going to change and not for the better.
our lives we're gonna change soon I can feel it. I can feel the change in our lives. Everything peaceful will end soon. Peace serenity isn't gonna last forever so we have to enjoy it while we can. Sleepless nights will come even more than this so now we just have to wait.
because the world is getting worse, and the king is getting too powerful and he's gonna ruin our lives. I can feel it.
It will be the end of our freedom, but for now, I don't wanna think about that. I want to think about sleeping. Think about right now where we are right now so good night.
I'm ending the chapter here I know it's roughly sudden, but I think it is a good place to end it's the last chapter for a while anyway, so also, I hope you enjoy the new layout I put these rulers in between so that'll look better and cleaner'll see you in the next chapter, but let me know what you think of the new layout I put these rulers here to make spaces so I hope you like it to chapter 14 will probably use this new layout more often but I just want you to see this all right thank you.
