Megamind's face turned a deep red from blushing even harder when Teryn presented him with another brand of boxers in a different shade of color! She already helped him pick out socks. Now she held up the fourth idea of boxers to him while he helped look for underwear he would want.

Teryn skimmed her fingers over the boxers after putting her fourth idea back on the shelf when Megamind shook his head. She thought it adorable; the hard blush on the alien's face! Had Roxanne never seen his underwear collection?! Obviously not due to his deep blush!

Eyes widening, Teryn spotted a pair that caught her eyes. A smirk pulled at her mouth as she picked up the bright pink material and relished in the sight of Megamind's eyes growing wide, his blush deepening!

Red kissing lips and hearts plated the bright pink material, but in the center — decorating the groin area, was a hand grabbing the center. If Megamind were to try on the boxers, the hand design would be set over the _ area! Megamind felt his cheeks, ears and neck grow hot from the heat of the deep blush; lips stammering! "I..no..no..abstoltly 'ot." He stammered at the sight of the boxers.

Megamind frowned at Teryn while her smirk increased! Laughter rang in her eyes! He wished he could fall through the floor! No woman had ever helped him pick out underwear — not even Roxanne! Megamind silently hoped for help to escape from his blushing!

Teryn sets the underwear down and continues skimming her fingers over various boxes and folded pairs of boxers and briefs. Megamind moves closer to Teryn so no one around them would see her different 'ideas!' The intoxicating green of her iris locks on him out the corner of her eye; taking in the deep red coloring his face! "Abstoltly, huh?"

Her question was met by his green iris cracking to the side with intensity from his furrowed eyebrow! Teryn swore Megamind's blush would be permanently burned into his blue skin! His black brow was still furrowed! 'He's not used to doing this, apparently.' She thought.

Backing off from her teasing for a bit, Teryn grew serious with the search. Darting to the corner of his eye from three minutes to three minutes, Megamind's green iris locked on Teryn while her eyes inquisitively followed the line of her skimming fingers. The air suddenly grew warm around them! Megamind noticed Teryn seemed closer! Or was he the one closer to her? 'No,' he thought. 'The store's cool air must not be working right.'

"Teryn?"

Those skimming fingers of hers halted on a box the pads of her fingers just brushed when he spoke, followed by a slight turn of her head and her beautiful voice graced his ears. "Yes?"

Growing thick from a heavy forming lump in his throat, thick saliva coated the passageway when Megamind swallowed the thick hard lump. "Um..does..?"

Megamind bit off his stammering by biting his lower lip. 'What is wrong with me?' He thought. 'I'm the Defender of Metrocity!' He mentally chided himself! 'I should be able to talk to a female, but I can't even talk to this female!'

"Nevermind."

Later, when late afternoon rolled around, Teryn and Megamind sat at the kitchen's counter while Minion made them lunch! The shopping bags full of Megamind's newly bought clothes sat on the counter beside a growing pile of tags Teryn currently cut off the garments after taking the said garments from the blue alien sitting across from her with watchful eyes curiously studying her. The air was filled with a very delicious aroma from the lunch Minion currently fixed for them!

Megamind frowned when he spotted a familiar looking pair of boxers Teryn showed him at Walmart! Making sure Minion's attention was still on his cooking..it was, Megamind plucked the familiar garment from the shopping bag and watched Teryn's lips form into a smirk.

Clutched in his hand, Megamind held up the bright pink garment decorated with the red pink lips and hearts decorating the thighs with the tan colored hand design decorating the groin area! And Megamind failed to keep the growing heated blush from his face! And Teryn's smirk grew even wider as she snatched the garment from his hand while he mouthed one single word: 'Really?'

"Think of them as a very early honeymoon gift from yours truly for when you eventually get married." Teryn's smirk grew wider from the blush growing deeper on the alien's cheeks.

"So Teryn?"

Minion walked over to the kitchen counter where she and Megamind currently sat; two plates of hot food in hand, breaking the silence since he hadn't heard the short hushed conversation between she and Megamind. "Are you new to the city?" He asked just as Teryn took another shirt from Megamind's hand.

When Megamind brought Teryn inside City Hall, he had held his breath when Teryn and Minion came face-to-face. To his surprise, Teryn wasn't fazed at all by his loyal, fantastic fish. Nope! She was more curious than anything. Teryn took her plate of food with a kind thank you and grateful smile. "Sort of."

Taking a bite of her food, Megamind watched Teryn's eyes light up with delight! "This food is amazing, Minion! I have never tasted anything like it!"

Minion slightly blushed! That was a first! Megamind raised an eyebrow at Teryn. "Never?"

Teryn shook her head. "Never." She turned her eyes on Minion. "To answer your question, Master Minion, I have only lived in the city for about a year now."

Teryn found herself enjoying the easy flow of conversation between herself and the two men. Minion may be a fish normally not found in the many bodies of water scattered across the vast earth of the good ol' U.S.A, but he was a man in every sense of the word, minus physical appearance — all because of being very kind, sweet, caring and lovable. And to her surprise, she loved how relaxed and comfortable the two men made her feel.

After Minion's delicious, hearty lunch he personally took great care in preparing for she and Megamind, the rest of the afternoon was spent between playing card games and board games while taking pauses to go swap Megamind's new clothes between the washer and dryer; hanging and folding to put away.

Card games, Teryn concluded, ended up being Megamind's favorites; Mr Brainiac loving everything to do with strategy and math. The only strategic board game he seemed to have a hard time taking a break from, was Chess! Of all the board games for Mr Brainiac to develop a strong love for, it would have to be Chess!

Teryn's POV

I was good with math and strategy, but my skills fell so short of Megamind's — especially when it came to Chess: the only objective was taking out the opponents king. However the two players played the game was up to them; playing the game however they so chose in any way they wanted; the only rules having to bide by:

Each type of chess piece has its own method of movement. A piece moves to a vacant square except when capturing an opponents piece. Except for any move of the knight and castling; pieces cannot jump over other pieces. A piece is captured (or taken) when an attacking enemy piece replaces it on its square. Other than that, the only four basic chess rules for how to play chess are:

1. The player with the white pieces makes the first move.

2. Each player takes turns making one move at a time.

3. Every chess piece moves in a unique way.

4. Rules of checkmate and draw.

Mr Brainiac was over-the-top-genius at Chess. No matter how many times Minion and I went up against Megamind — solo or teemed up, Mr Brainiac always out maneuvered and out smarted us!

With each win — and passing moment, Megamind's depressed demeanor deteriorated and the intelligent, bumbling, egomaniacle personality stemmed from the incredibly strong intellectual minded alien took place, and a smile pulled at my mouth when I got a glimpse of the alien's personality and genuine smile while enjoying the game.

While Megamind took yet another win at our Chess game, Minion and I briefly shared a smile when our eyes met. I cared more about having fun than winning, but during the passing afternoon, there was only one objective I had in mind from the very start of the day to now; early evening: seeing Megamind's beautiful, genuine smile I had heard so much about! And indeed, his smile was very beautiful!

Eventually, we had to call it quits for the night. Minion left to go finish hanging up Megamind's clothes, leaving me alone with the blue alien still giddily smiling — even laughing a beautiful genuine laugh ringing soft, beautiful musical notes in my ears.

Having been so focused on getting Megamind to smile — all of my problem were pushed to the back burner. Forgotten. Seeing Megamind smile his genuine smile I've come to love, I realized, I wondered…was it possible for me to be genuinely happy like that, too? Was it possible — after running for so long, was it possible to be genuinely happy?

Megamind's POV

I walked with Teryn to the front door. The woman was so beautiful and amazing! Because of her, my painful breakup with Roxanne didn't seem that painful anymore. What was it that made Teryn one of a kind? Before she took a step — without thinking, I pulled her into a long hug! I felt a ray of happiness! And I was incredibly happy because of her!
