A/N: This chapter is going to similar but not the exact same as what happened in the first round in My Heroes Reborn IE: A curb stomp. Though this one involves a well thought out plans and not a "Holy Shit what the fuck just happened?" induced cub stomp. Enjoy!
Chapter 59: The Invisible Trap
The 11 members of class 1-A were all ready. All of their classmates were hidden ready for their parts.
The plan came in stages, the first stage was bait.
Which was the part where. These 11 came in. They were to lure in people gunning for UA students.
And better than the 11 of the 12 of their class to get into the tournament of the sports festival.
Of course they were soon surrounded.
"You guy all ready?" asked Izuku.
Everyone acting as bait nodded.
And soon the other school started to attack them.
Many throwing their balls at them.
Ashido sent out acid melted many of the balls.
"All right!" she cheered.
Aoyama hot many of the ball away with his laser.
Kaminari just dodged the balls as his quirk wasn't suited for this part.
"Kaminari catch!" called out Yaoyorozu.
Kaminari saw that she was tossing a tennis racket.
"What?" he said.
"It's better to defend yourself for now." Said Momo beating away other balls for tennis rackets.
"Thanks but I never played tennis…" said Kaminari.
"Don't worry I'm sure we can hold it off until everything is set." Said Yaoyorozu.
At the same time Dark Shadow batted away the balls quite easily. Tokoyami was a bit disappeared that he didn't have to use her new ultimate move but still worked.
At the same time Kirishima using his arm to try to bat the balls away.
That was when suddenly several of the balls exploded.
"You owe me shitty hair." Said Katsuki.
"Maybe another time." Said Kirishima with a grin.
"Are those two flirting?" asked a nearby student.
"I think so…" said another one.
At the same time Tsuyu quickly realized that her wands wouldn't do any good with the balls due to it being her poisonous mucus so she just batted the balls away with her tounge.
Ochaco oh other hand pointed her wand at the ball which quickly dropped to the ground as the gravity around her was increased.
Shoto blew many of the balls away with her wand.
Some of them hit some of the targets, but not enough to knock them out.
However that was when suddenly there were several shout.
"Great job Shoto!" called Izuku actually glad that the plan will be a bit easy.
He then blew way several more balls thanks to Katsuki's quirk.
However that was when suddenly about a a third of the other students from the other schools suddenly froze, none of them moving.
However the other two thirds started to yell out.
"I'm stuck!" yelled one.
"I'm stuck too!" yelled another of the students .
"What's stopping me!" yelled yet another.
"I can't move!" yelled another.
"Looks like the traps worked!" said Izuku.
"Great plan Midoriya!" said Kaminari.
Those that were mysteriously trapped were very confused.
Those frozen couldn't really do anything.
Meanwhile in the Stands…
Aizawa and Ms. Joke were watching this. Ms. Joke was horribly confused.
"Something I realized when it came to Midoriya's quirk. It that encourages teamwork." Said Aizawa.
"Are you serious?" asked Ms. Joke.
"It creates a bond with people, not only that but he link people up telepathically. Anyone he bonds with creates a formattable team." Said Aizawa.
"But not everyone has that bond." Said Ms. Joke.
"Only two students bonded with him after the sport festival." Explained Aizawa, "But even if he only has 7 partners in class, the fact that they make a good team leaves the rest of the class looking towards them when it comes to team work."
"Do you have any idea what's going on?" asked Ms. Joke.
"The one that that bonded with Midoriya that the public barely knows about…" said Aizawa.
It was somewhat well knew own that he had 9 partners, but some of them weren't well known.
"What's her quirk?" asked Ms. Joke.
"She's using her quirk power up." Said Aizawa.
"Wait what?" asked Ms. Joke.
"It's not their fault their information is out of date." Aid Aizawa.
Back on the battlefield, the decoy team got ready to take out the targets.
But Izuku decided to first use a stolen ball to test something out.
He tossed the ball at the frozen area and saw that the ball had stopped at well.
"Oh look like we can't get anyone from that area." Said Ochaco.
"I'm going to have to check in with Tenya." Said Izuku.
He then opened telepathy with Tenya.
"What do you think you should do for your third?" asked Izuku.
"I believe I can hold them long enough for the second team to get their points then… then perhaps Mineta and Sero can wait to go after them before we go after their targets." Thought Tenya.
"All right! Good idea." Thought Izuku.
"I will tell them." Thought Tenya.
"Are they near you?" asked Izuku.
"They are." Thought Tenya.
"Good." Thought Izuku.
He knew it was time for the bait team to hit the targets.
They gathered as many balls they could and aimed the balls at the trapped opponents.
They were easy since thanks to the balls getting tossed at them there were plenty to spare.
"All right! I got two!" cheered Ochaco noticing her target changed color.
"Yeah! I got second!" cheered Kaminari as his had changed colors as well.
Dark Shadow actually reached and touched the targets with the balls quite easily getting the two points needed for Tokoyami.
"I got mine." Said Tsuyu as her targets changed colors.
"Oh yeah! I got mine!" cheered Ashido.
Katsuki grounded her teeth.
"Kacchan upset that she didn't get the top 5." Said Izuku with a sweat dropped as they still tossed balls.
"Figures…" said Shoto.
That was when her targets changed color.
"Oh you got 6th place." Said Izuku.
"Izuku!" said Shoto
Izuku noticed that his targets changed color.
"What the fuck!" yelled Katsuki.
She tossed more balls and her targets finally changed color meaning she was the 8th.
"I got it." Said Aoyama.
"I got all of mine." Said Yaoyorozu noticing her.
"All right!" cheered Kirishima has his targets changed color, "All of us got our targets!"
All of them nodded and headed to the waiting area.
"All right!" yelled someone in the crowd "There's nearly half of the UA students left! We can break out of this, find them and try the crush again!"
"About that…" giggled a voice.
Suddenly Jiro, Sato, Ojiro, Koda and Shoji appeared out of thing air.
"Where did they come form!" yelled someone in the crowd.
"Yeah we're the ones that didn't fit in either group." Said Jiro.
"Either as bait or trappers." Said Sato.
They didn't make the tournament nor did they fitted in the other group.
And once again the trapped students were subjected to the barrage of balls.
And thanks to the fact that there were plenty with one or two lit up this was even faster.
Shoji stretched his limbs targeting two people with only one target left.
"Looks like I passed." Said Shoji.
Koda threw his hands in the air in joy as his targets changed color.
"I got mine!" said Jiro.
"All right I got all mine!" said Sato.
"Got mine." Said Ojiro.
"What is going on! Where did they even come form!" yelled one of the hapless people that hadn't failed yet.
"You want me to explain!" said a voice.
That was when Toru appeared.
She winked as she reappeared.
"No way! It's one of the magical girl!" yelled some on in the crowd.
"Wait… I don't remember her from the sports festival!" yelled someone.
"Wait… one of the people who didn't make the tournament was invisible!" yelled someone.
"The power up I got for bonding allowed me to turn things invisible by just thinking about it!" said Toru.
She once again disappeared then reappeared at a guy who only had one target left.
Then disappeared again and reappeared with a girl who only had one target left.
"Oh and sense I passed I should remove the effects of my quirk!" said Toru.
That was when suddenly all of the trapped students noticed they were either covered in tape or were covered in Mineta's balls.
What is going on!" several of the students yelled.
That was when Sero and Mineta reappeared as did Tenya who was holding out her wand at the frozen students meaning they were frozen but rather slowed down.
"Hey you ready!" said Sero.
"I am!" said Tenya.
"Let's do it!" yelled Mineta.
Sero shot tape high into the air as Mineta tossed a lot of his hairballs high in the air as well.
Right when they hit the area of Tenya's slow effect they slowed down as well.
She then dropped it, allowed the mix of tape and hair balls drop down on them trapping them.
The three of them with Toru's help were the trapping team.
"All right! We did it!" said Mineta.
"We still need to pass though." Said Sero.
"And we have ample time and methods to." Said Tenya.
Tenya ran towards other trapped students and hit their targets.
Tenya managed to get the two point she needed.
Sero soon landed his this in and got the targets as well.
With Mineta hitting the last targets.
"Wait… what I last the one?" asked Mineta.
"Sorry man! But it's true." Said Sero.
"Five minutes in and we already have 20 students pass!" yelled Mera, "Quite impressive!"
In the stands Ms. Joke was surprised.
"How…" she said.
"Like I said, their information was out of date." Said Aizawa with a shrug.
And thanks to Izuku's plan not only did all 20 of them pass quickly but they were able to pass with flying colors being the first 20 to pass the exam.
And hopefully they would pass the next part of the exam… but who knew what the next part was going to be.
Next Time: There's a break that happens in-between games. Shoto deicides to apologize to Inasa, will the apology be accept? Meanwhile Izuku is suddenly grabbed that girl Shiketsu... but not all is what it seems. What will happen? Find out next time!
