Jujutsu is extremely hard to learn and even harder to master. To become capable of defeating strong curses one must spend a lifetime practicing and learning. Because of this and how rarely people with curse awareness are born, finding and teaching new sorcerers is a very important matter, which is why Jujutsu schools exist, most famous of which are Tokyo Jujutsu High and Kyoto schools. They serve not just as places to study and learn Jujutsu,but also hideouts and bases for professional sorcerers. It is safe to say that those are the central points of Japan's world of Jujutsu
The thing is, there's another ,a little less known one
Mazers family shrine, a base of operations for professional and mostly foreign sorcerers who don't act following the orders from Jujutsu Higher ups, as the lord of this land , Rosewall, is one of the higher-ups himself
Unlike already mentioned Jujutsu schools, this place doesn't teach and only offers protection and a paycheck higher than other places in exchange for completing missions and exorcisms
There are currently 15 official sorcerers working under Mazers
Juilus is one of them

Juilus: -i hope Natsuki isn't too mad about the mission
He was a rather tall and handsome young man of around 19 with unnatural purple hair and yellow eyes, whose almost perfect face is laxed with a X shaped scar
We wore a white cape , underneath it was a pretty standard Jujutsu uniform, but with extra details like golden buttons. On his waist was a haramaki which held a pretty standard katana
Juilus was currently cleaning the sparring yard as it was his shift at cleaning the territory. No matter how many times he walks around the shrine grounds, he is always mesmerized by the sight
The territory itself consists of the main shrine that served a centre of operations, and around it were different smaller shrines that served as resting grounds and bedrooms. Architecture was in the style of Edo period Japan,with the most dominant colours being green. Aside from being a hidden Jujutsu shrine,it also served as a tourist attraction, though it only served as such on specific days to not hinder sorcerers's work
While cleaning the stairs to the shrine, he thought about his college Natsuki Subaru. Juilus had mixed feelings regarding him. While his sister, Beatrice, held arguably the biggest potential as a sorcerer out of every member of Mazers domain, her brother was rather weak. He held no cursed techniques, lacked in knowledge of supplementary techniques like barriers and vows. His energy output is below average and his only good sides in combat are his more than good enough physical capabilities and his cursed tool
Most sorcerers got into this place via a recommendation, but Natsuki siblings got here thanks to some unusual situation
Juilus did not hate Subaru, not at all. Despite lacking in talent he has his heart in the right place, he even sometimes reminds Juilus of his younger brother Joshua, but he and Subaru still barely counted as friends

While Juilus was lost in thoughts ,a woman appeard. She was petite and quite small,and she had a fluffy hair of the same colour as Juilus and star shaped pins on her

Anastasia:- there are no missions and the document work's done,so decided to check on you. Gotta say, it's always cute to see a man like you play a housewife

Subaru starting walking off, before he suddenly ran jp to Juilus with something in his hands

It was now 15:00. Various members of Mazers domain were getting together on the sparring grounds
There were around 5 different people

There were Juilus and Anastasia and 3 more individuals
One of them is Crusch Karsten. A young but serious looking woman with emerald green hair and honey eyes. She wears something similar to a dark blue business suit and a long skirt,there was a small cap on her head
Other one is a boy , Felix, of around the same age as her, but he didn't look like a boy that much. He had big blue eyes, light brown hair that was styled like it's cat ears,and his body and face looked pretty feminine
The last one is a small 15y old girl with wild blond hair,red eyes and was tied into a small ponytail, this is Felt. She wore a high mobility combat clothes and had two knifes in scabbards stuck on her belt
Juilus: alright, who will be sparring first?
Crusch: i volunteer
Felt: me!me!me!
Felix: alright,nya. Go into the circle
The sparring yard is a big circular field of around 30 square metres. It was made with the intention of fighters moving at high speeds
Two girls got into the circle
Crusch:- i apologize in advance for any inflicted injuries, Felt sama- she said with stone cold face and with her spear in a fighting stance
Felt:- don't sweat it! Show me what you got, you spoiled princess!
Felt was holding her knifes still in the scabbards

Something exploded fron the right side of the field. Like a rocket, Felt moved at superhuman speeds and in one second closed the distance between two fighters
Crusch moved out of attack's range, defending from an attack like this that uses momentum is a bad idea
Felt:- There's more!
Felt kicked the ground and easily rose up to 6 metres in the air, while Crusch started moving forward in a defensive position.
Next moment – Felt sent her knifes towards Crusch
Using her spear, Crusch jumped off the ground and kicked off each knife from their trajectories
Crusch: /Lion shadow style: Strike!/
Felt: Kh?!
Felt used her technique to move while in the air and quickly leaped to the side, but spear as if ignoring natural laws bends in its thrusting path and hit the girl in the stomach
If it wasn't a dull training spear, it would be over
Crusch: trying to avoid my barrier techniques is an interesting decision,but even with your technique doing so in the air is risky
Felt: ha-ha, I'm not done, shit!
Without much plan she picked up her knifes and dashed towards Crusch at high speed
It was a clash, with sparks flying and both combatants moving at high speeds,but it was clear that Felt was faster
Crusch attacked with a large swipe of her spear,but Felt jumped off of it to the opposite side of the arena
Felt: watch my new move, you lioness!

She kicked off the ground multiples times while running across the arena, gaining speed and momentum to the point where human eyes cannot track her

Crusch got into her defensive position
One more second and a yellow bomb will collide with the green defender

Around 30 minutes prior
As much as Subaru complained about being tired as fuck, he could not sleep. He fell asleep multiple times and could only see nightmares. It was better to walk around the place than see those nightmares again. He looked at the clock nearby
14:30 huh
It was definitely not the time to sleep for a regular person,but he doubted that sorcerers fall into the «regular» category
«I need to understand what happened yesterday»
Subaru tried to come up with many different ideas for what had happened,but not only was his Jujutsu knowledge not the best, this entire situation is weird. He heard about reverse curse technique ,a special technique that uses cursed energy's negative property to multiply it by itself to create positive energy, reversed cursed energy, that instead of destroying could heal. He heard about various strong individuals being able to heal even destroyed limbs or awaken a near dead person,but time travel? Even for batshit insane world of Jujutsu this is unheard of outside of something like a very specific domain expansion
Subaru was lost, he headed towards the place he never visited before

Ram is one of the 2 shrine maidens of this place and works directly under Rosewall himself. She keeps the library of the shrine safe and sound. Ram herself is a short girl of around Subaru's age, who had a weird haircut this completely covers her left eye. Her hair itself is pink, and she's pretty cute, but also extremely lazy and tough. She constantly wears normal hoodie and skirt instead of shrine maiden outfit or normal Jujutsu suit
Ram: so? What is so important that even a slug like you wants to learn something about it? Books of your demographic are in the section B
Subaru: Hey, section B is child stories,and we are the same age! Ugh

Ram: … cursed techniques are a specific type of curse that a person can be born with. By fueling it will cursed energy you can activate your technique, a unique ability that can help you exorcise curses. After a person dies, the cursed technique may transfer to someone else in the future. The origins of techniques are unknown, aside from theories of them being manifestations of humanity's subconscious. This is the basics if your dumbass did not know. Subaru was currently running all across the shrine to write down every sorcerer currently present in the domain. Because there are many sorcerers Roswall wants to keep all of them in check and know who is present and who is absent. At first it doesn't sound that bad, but right now Subaru has to run across the entire domain and find everyone and their whereabouts in 10 minutes. He found most of them, but he's still short on time. Getting any leads towards his situation is worth it,but man is he tired

The main office room of the shrine is of course a working place for Roswaal himself. Lord Roswall is s tall and fit man in his late 20s, and is considered tge youngest of the Jujutsu Higher ups. He had dark blue hair with ligh blue stripes on some loose ends. He wears a blue kimono without much extravagant details. Ram, being the closest to the lord often describes him as immensely kind and caring,but Subaru has honestly no idea how true those words would be in this situation
Roswaal:- hmmmmmm. Nooow, Natsuki, Kartsten and Felt ta~n. I think all of you know veeery well why i got all of you here

Roswaal:- why so siilent ? After all, returning back from a business trip only to find your home in suuuuch a wrecked condition is something anyyyone would want an answers for.
Crusch:….. lord Roswall… Me and Felt san were practicing on our shrine's battle grounds-
Felt:- and during the battle i … i wanted to use one of my new moves and stsrted accelerating at high speeds…
Subaru:-…..and ….. out of nowhere i appeared when two girls were full speed rushing towards eachother…

Felt:…..and i …. I messed up my movement and got sent towards a nearby shrine from all the momentum.
Felt's cursed technique is called «Jet Yellow». This technique allows Felt to bend airflow around her body, allowing her to accelerate her movement speed to very high degree, with her latest new move allowing her to reach speeds of sniper rifle shots. It doesn't take much time to figure out what happens when a cursed energy enhanced human body collides with an old small shrine at the speed of a bullet

In the end, Roswall made all 4 of us clean up the mess. Even if not intentionally, me , Crusch, Felt and Ram all contributed to destroying the smaller shrine. Yes, Ram too. For skipping her duties
Crusch: even so… who is considered a winner in our fight?

Ram:- one of the text in the library states that over 50 years ago there was a strange occurrence in the southside of Tokyo. A plant was found lying on the ground of the normal street with barely noticeable amounts of curse energy on it. The flower itself was later found to be from.a species that had died out approximately 2000 years ago. For some reason, further investigations were stopped and all records lost to time or on purpose. This is all i wad able to find
