- 5:46 P.M. -
- Enchanted Forest, Northuldra Camp -
After informing their father of Rona's situation, Agnarr had rejoined the sisters arriving at the camp to be with Iduna during the emotional good-bye to her mother. It was shortly upon entering the camp that Magna, Iduna, Honeymaren and Ryder approached them. All but Rona, who smiled, had a solemn look on their faces.
The four stopped in front of them, Iduna knelt in front of Rona and smiled with tears in her eyes.
"Hi Mom." greeted Iduna. "How was the trip?"
"It was wonderful." answered Rona with a smile. "I'm glad I went. Arendelle is lovely." she added, which soon prompted Iduna's bottom lip to quiver as tears trailed down her face.
"I'm glad you enjoyed it." stated Iduna.
Magna, meanwhile, smiled at the interaction, emotion clear on her face, as well as Honeymaren and Ryder, but they all managed to hold back the tears, for now, before Magna looked at the sisters and Agnarr.
"Gale told us you had returned. I'm guessing you all know now?"
"Yeah." answered Elsa and Anna, lowly.
Honeymaren then knelt beside Rona and asked...
"Are you in any pain?"
"No, just tired. I don't think I can walk though. My legs have gone numb."
"Oh..." replied Honeymaren sadly, before Iduna stood and walked up to Agnarr and hugged him, who quickly returned the embrace.
"Thanks for coming." stated Iduna.
"Of course I'd come." replied Agnarr. "I wouldn't leave you alone for this." he added, before Elsa looked at Magna and asked...
"So, are we going back to grandmother's home to say our final goodbye's?"
"No." answered Magna, looking to her mother with a little smile. "We already have a plan. Mother wants to be outside in her final moments, so we'll leave camp about halfway to where our Father is buried, say our final farewells there, then continue on to lay Mother to rest next to our father."
"I see." replied Elsa, with a sigh, while Anna wiped the tears from her eyes, however, Iduna quickly walked up to Anna and hugged her. Following, Ryder added...
"On foot, it'll take about an hour to reach the gravesite. So we'll go with the Reindeer."
"Oh, alright." replied Elsa, before she smiled and walked in front of Rona, and knelt in front of her. "Guess your trip in the chair is coming to an end."
"Looks like it." replied Rona with a smile. "It was a comfortable ride.
Elsa simply smiled, and briefly lowered her gaze, before a thought came to her, and lifted her gaze back to Rona with a bigger smile.
"What is it?" asked Rona.
"I just thought of something." answered Elsa. "A final, farewell experience I can give you."
"Oh? What?" asked Rona.
"Are you afraid of heights?" asked Elsa, a question which prompted Anna to look on curiously, before her mouth went agape slightly in realization.
"Not particularly." answered Rona.
"Wonderful..." replied Elsa, before she stood, and looked at Magna, "Would you be able to direct us in the proper direction from the air?"
"From the air?" asked Magna. "What do you mean?"
"We can leave the reindeer here." replied Elsa. "I can take us all by air."
"That's right." commented Agnarr. "You and Anna can fly." she added, which prompted gasps of amazement from everyone else, particularly Rona, commenting...
"You can fly!?"
"Hehe, yep." replied Elsa. "Did neither of us happen to mention that at one point to you?"
"No." stated Rona, before Honeymaren adds...
"I had nearly forgotten about it."
"Yeah..." added Ryder. "They've only mentioned it, and not shown it off."
"That is true." commented Anna with a little smile. "Elsa can carry people, so it would be a nice view for you all to see the forest from the air. This is a lot of people though, Elsa, you think you can carry us all?"
"Sure." answered Elsa, before looking at Rona. "So, how about it grandma? One more grand experience before you say good-bye?"
"Heh, I'd be delighted." replied Rona with a smile.
"Wonderful." stated Elsa, before looking to Magna. "So, do you think you could direct me from the air?"
"Uh, maybe?" answered Magna, clearly looking unsure. "The grave-site is northeast of the camp. So I could direct you in the proper direction initially from the ground." she added, before Honeymaren also added...
"Ryder and me can help navigate, we know the route too."
"Alright then." replied Elsa, before turning her attention back to Rona. "Is there anyone not with us right now you'd like to say good-bye to before we leave?"
"Well, I would like to see Yelana and Emory one more time."
"Alright." replied Elsa, as she turned her attention to Honeymaren and Ryder. "Do you know where either of them are?"
"Haven't seen Emory in the past hour." stated Ryder.
"Same here." added Honeymaren, before a familiar whistle on the wind was heard and Gale spoke.
"I'll go let her know."
"Well..." commented Magna, before looking out to the camp. "That leaves Yelana. I spoke to her a little while ago- ah, there she is." added Magna, before spotting Yelana at the opposite side of the camp, near it's edge, talking to a child.
With Iduna now taking the role of pushing Rona, the group soon approached Yelana, who noticed their arrival when the child she was talking to walked away.
"Well, this is a big group." commented Yelana with a smile, before looking to Rona and her smile turned bittersweet. "... And I have a good guess as to why." she added, which prompted a chuckle from Rona.
"You would be right, Yelana." replied Rona. "My time has come. I wanted to say good-bye while I'm able."
Yelana simply smiled at Rona for a moment, before closing her eyes and taking a slow, deep breath, followed by walking up to Rona, kneeling down and hugging her.
"Farewell, my friend."
"Good-bye, Yelana." replied Rona as she returned the embrace, which lingered just long enough for a single tear to fall from Yelana's eyes, the sight of which brought tears from Honeymaren and Anna's as well. Yelana eventually pulled back and wiped the tears from her eyes with a smile and took hold of both of Rona's hands.
"I know it goes without saying, but, I'm going to miss you." stated Yelana.
"Me too." replied Rona. "I'm going to miss everyone."
Following another sigh from Yelana, she released Rona's hands and stood, looking into Rona's eyes briefly, before giving her a slight bow of the head and walking by her and the others. However, unknown to the others, given they all were currently behind Rona, they failed to see the look of sadness come to her face.
"Well..." commented Magna. "There's just Emory we're waiting on. We're near the edge of camp, so should we just leave and prep for our airborne trip while we wait for Emory to come to us?"
"Alright." stated Rona. "We can do that." she added, before Anna commented...
"Hey, wait a minute, considering Elsa's likely going to make a big ice sheet, it probably wouldn't be a good idea to have grandma in the chair while she's on it."
"That's no problem." stated Ryder. "I can pick her up and put her down."
"Alright." replied Anna, before muttering to herself... "Now I have the issue of what to do with the glass..."
The group then leaves the camp, close enough to still be in view of those curious though. Elsa then created a large, 3x3 yard large ice sheet, with the back and sides with three-foot high walls.
"Alright, this should be big enough for all of us to comfortably sit." stated Elsa, while everyone, but Anna, all marveled at the ease at which Elsa created the transport. "I'll close the front once we all get on, so you won't need to worry about sliding off mid-flight." added Elsa. "Oh, and speaking of sliding, I've textured the the bottom of it, so you shouldn't slip, but it's still ice though, so I can't guarantee there will be no slipping at all."
"... And it's still cold, I assume?" asked Magna, walking up to it and placing a hand on the side.
"Yeah." replied Elsa, "I hope you don't mind, Grandma can still use the pillows in the chair to sit on."
"As long as Mother's comfortable." stated Magna. "I'm sure the rest of us can handle a chilly butt for a little while." she added with a smile, which earned a round of agreeing chuckles from the others.
Soon after, Emory's familiar voice came from behind them.
"Hey, I'm here!" announced Emory, jogging up to them as they turned to face her, along with Iduna turning Rona around as Emory stopped in front of them about a yard away. "Heh, wow, the whole family is here- I-I mean, of course the whole family is here! Given the situation..." she added, before her gaze turned to Agnarr, prompting her to clear her throat and curtsy. "Hello, Your Majesty. This is our first time meeting face to face."
"It is." replied Agnarr, before he offered his right hand, "It's good to put a face to the name, I've heard so much about you." he adds, which prompted a nervous chuckle from Emory as she took Agnarr's hand.
"Heh, yeah... so, Gale said Rona wanted to talk to me." replied Emory. "Given the situation, I'm at a loss for what that could be." she added, before Rona smiled and commented...
"I just wanted to say good-bye."
"O-Oh..." replied Emory, clearly surprised. "M-Me? You're sharing the precious time you have on me?"
"Yep." answered Rona. "You're the Great Spirit Ahtohallan, after all; who turned out to be a very sweet, young woman who wanted to be part of our community." she added, which prompted a shy smile from Emory.
"... And being part of the community means being part of these farewells." stated Emory.
"Yes, it does." commented Rona with a smile, before Emory walked up to Rona, knelt in front of her, and took her hands in hers.
"I haven't been here long, but I greatly appreciate the hospitality you and everyone here have shown me, especially when you had every reason to reject me. It's been a joy to meet and talk to you."
"I also found it a delight to meet you as well, and see the person behind the story." replied Rona, before Emory smiled and stood.
"Good-bye, Ma'am."
"Good-bye, Emory." stated Rona, before Emory noticed the large ice structure behind them.
"So, I'm guessing you're taking the airborne route to your destination?" asked Emory.
"Yep." answered Rona. "Elsa suggested it."
"Well, you're going to love the view, I'm sure."
"I'm looking forward to it." replied Rona. "Now that I've said my good-bye to you, there's nothing left to delay me." she added, before looking back to Iduna. "I'm ready to go." Iduna said nothing but a slow sigh, smile, and nod of her head.
"Oh, you don't mind if I see you off, do you?" asked Emory.
"Not at all." answered Rona, before Ryder walked up beside her and reached down to pick her up, as Rona draped her left arm around his shoulders and he reached his left arm under her knees and right arm along her back and lifted her from the chair.
Following that, Magna picked up the two pillows and followed her son to the transport to position them before Ryder sat Rona down. Meanwhile, Anna deconstructed the wheelchair back into a large orb of glass, before Honeymaren asked her...
"So, what are you going to do with that?"
"I haven't figured it out." answered Anna. "I guess I could leave it here..." she added, before looking to the others, all finding a place on the icy transport, Rona in the middle, with Magna and Ryder to her left, and Iduna and Agnarr sitting to her right. While there was still plenty of room for Honeymaren, herself and Elsa, a smile came to Anna's face. "Actually, I just thought of a showy little gift I could give Grandma too, and everyone else, beside Father, since he's seen me do it, and have one less person occupying the sheet."
"Your gonna fly, aren't you?" asked Emory.
"Yep." answered Anna. "After-all, if Elsa's gonna show off her flying, I will too. I'll need my glass clothing to do it without ending up naked mid-flight." she added, which prompted a chuckle from Honeymaren.
"That can happen?"
"Yeah..." replied Anna with a sigh, the heat and fire can, and has, ended up burning my regular clothes."
"It sure has." chimed in Agnarr with a smile, prompting an embarrassed groan from Anna.
"Anyway... I just need to go someplace to change." stated Anna, before she was a little surprised when Elsa waved a hand towards her and enclosed her in an icy cylinder.
"That should work, right?" asked Elsa.
"Yeah, this'll do." answered Anna from within the enclosed space.
While Anna was busy changing, Honeymaren and Elsa joined the others, Honeymaren sitting to Ryder's left, and Elsa to Agnarr's right. Anna then announced that she was done, and Elsa dispersed the cylinder, revealing Anna now wore a glass, sleeve-less blouse and pants, minus shoes. An ample sized orb of excess glass still hovered beside her and she also held her previous clothing, her dress draped over her right arm, as well as her shoes in her left hand.
"I can take your clothes and extra glass back home." offered Emory. "You can come back for them when you get back."
"Alright." replied Anna, before splitting the glass orb in two, reducing it's size and weight before solidifying them, which prompted them to drop to the ground. Emory then picked them up, holding one between her left arm and body, and the other in her left hand. However, it was clear the size of the orbs were cumbersome to hold, prompting Elsa to remove herself from the transport and walked towards her, commenting...
"Actually, I'll just open a portal to Anna's room and she can leave it there. Those two balls are a lot to carry."
"Heh, yeah, they are. Didn't really think this through. Thanks." replied Emory, as Elsa created a portal to Anna's room, who then magically removed the glass orbs from Emory's hold and directed them through the portal and onto her bed.
Elsa, at the same time, retrieved Anna's shoes and dress from her. Which quickly drew Anna's attention and she quickly commented a nervous 'W-Wait!' However, grabbing the dress around the collar and holding it vertically rather than over the arm as Anna had done, revealed the particular reason for it as a bra, fell to the ground. Luckily, only Elsa and Emory saw it and Anna, without a word, although her face red, quickly picked up the undergarment and the dress from Elsa, along with the shoes, and entered the portal to deposit them in her room.
"Alright, that's taken care of, lets go!" stated Anna, with a nervous smile looking at the two, who both simply smiled in return, before Elsa dispersed her portal and returned to her spot next to Agnarr, while Anna remembered the reason for all this as she looked at the group, and sighed as her smile faded.
"It's going to be ok." stated Emory as she patted Anna's shoulder.
"Yeah... just not looking forward to going through to the other side." replied Anna. "Lot of sadness and pain coming up." she added, before taking a deep breath and slow exhale, followed by Elsa asking...
"So Anna, you wanna go up first or second?"
"First." Answered Anna, before walking away. "Also, can you frost the area around me and the trees? Just in case. So I don't accidentally start a fire."
"Sure." answered Elsa, before Anna stopped a couple of yards away from the group, facing them as, with a magical flick of Elsa's hand, the immediate area around Anna, from the ground to the treetops, were lightly frosted.
"Alright, see you all in the sky." commented Anna with a smile, before she counted down from three, and all but Elsa and Agnarr, gasped and watched with aw as Anna suddenly rocketed into the air with trails of fire from her hands and feet.
"Oh wow!" gasped Rona. "She's like a firework herself." she added, as the group watched Anna high in the air and hover, waiting for them.
"Yeah..." added Iduna with a smile. "It's amazing how much Elsa and Anna's magic has grown."
Elsa simply smiled, lightly blushing from the praise, before they all gasped a little when they began to lift up from the ground and Emory waved them good-bye.
"See-ya later." stated Emory.
"See-ya." replied back Elsa, Honeymaren and Ryder as the group continued to rise into the air, and upon joining Anna, all but Elsa admired the brand new view of their home from the air, and they all expressed one of two words, 'Wow' and 'Whoa'"
"This is amazing!" declared Honeymaren.
"I can see so far!" added Ryder, before Magna chimed in...
"Yeah, this is not a sight I thought I'd ever see."
"Yeah..." replied Anna with a smile. "It's a pretty awesome way to travel." she added, before she, Elsa, Iduna and Agnarr looked at Rona to see she was silently admiring the view with a big smile.
"What do you think, Mother?" asked Iduna.
"It's beautiful." answered Rona. "Simply beautiful." she added, before looking skyward at the clouds. 'This really is making my approaching departure harder... I do have Anna's offer though.' she thought, before looking to Anna hovering in front of them. "Thank you for this gift, Anna and Elsa."
"You're welcome." answered the sisters.
Following Magna pointed Elsa in the correct direction, the group departed towards their destination, high in the sky. The pace was slow, allowing Magna and Honeymaren to accurately judge that they were staying on course. Although, while the benefit of air travel meant they'd get to their destination much sooner, Elsa also used the slower pace to extend the time she had to be around Rona, who, other than enjoying the new experience and view, also enjoyed a little show Anna put on by flying around them.
- 6:27 P.M. -
Eventually, the time had come when Magna pointed to a location to land, a sizable gap in the trees near a stream. However, before Elsa began to descend, Rona spoke up.
"Wait, Elsa, instead of landing, can we stay in the air?"
"Uh... Unfortunately, no." answered Elsa. "While it doesn't take much focus to maintain our height, I'm not sure I'll be able to focus enough when you leave us."
"Oh... Ok then." replied Rona.
"Sorry." stated Elsa.
"It's alright." replied Rona with a smile. "As long as I can see the sky, I'll be happy with that." she added, before Magna also added...
"You will."
With no further interruptions, Elsa and Anna descend, and successfully land.
"So..." commented Anna as she faced the group, Rona in particular. "Any particular spot you wanna go?" she asked, following Rona briefly looking around and up to the sky, she smiled and answered...
"Here is good."
"So where you're sitting right now?" asked Elsa. "Cause I can just get rid of our transport; no reason for anyone to carry you."
"Yes, this spot right here." clarified Rona, before Elsa took a slow breath and smiled.
"Alright."
Following, Magna removed the pillow between Rona's back and the icy backrest before she and Iduna's placed a hand on Rona's back to prevent her from falling back upon Elsa, with a flick of her wrist, dismissed their transport into a short-lived flurry of snow.
The group silently gathered around as Rona was laid back, the removed pillow now resting under her head. Magna, Ryder and Honeymaren sat at Rona's left, while Iduna, Agnarr, Elsa and Anna, sat to her right.
"We're gonna really miss you, grandma." commented Honeymaren, smiling with tears in her eyes.
"Yeah..." added Ryder, while not teary-eyed, the sadness was clear on his face. "But I'm glad you're not in any pain, and leaving peacefully."
"Thank you, Ryder, Honeymaren." replied Rona with a smile. "And I'm grateful to have my family here with me." she added, looking around at each one, seeing that of the group, Honeymaren, Magna, Iduna and Anna were the ones whose cheeks were wet with tears; Elsa about to join them as tears brimmed her eyes, while Ryder and Agnarr both placed an arm across Magna and Iduna's shoulders in comfort, respectively.
"I love you mom." tearfully commented Magna and Iduna both, which prompted a smile and small chuckle from the sisters, before they all noticed a light flurry of snow fall around them, and they all look at Elsa, whose eyes were closed at the moment as tears trailed down her face, before Anna lightly nudged her, drawing her attention, before she noticed the eyes on her, then the snow, and gasped.
"O-Oh! S-sorry about this!"
However, Rona simply smiles and comments...
"So, it snows when you're sad?"
"Sorry. I'll get it under control." replied Elsa. "I just need a moment."
"No. It's ok." stated Rona. "You don't need to hide what your feeling. Besides..." she added, lifting her right hand up to catch a few snowflakes with a smile. "I get to see the snow one last time." she continued, prompting a sad smile to come to Elsa's face. "Snowfall in summer..." sighed Rona. "It's beautiful."
The group, seeing the content smile on Rona's face, were suddenly worried when her expression turned sad, and her bottom lip quivered as tears began to leave her eyes as she closed them.
"Grandma! What's wrong!?" quickly asked Honeymaren.
"Just thinking about what I'll be missing out on when I depart." answered Rona, opening her teary eyes and looking up at the sky, before looking to Iduna with a smile. "Iduna, who returned; my new grandchildren I've only recently met; experiencing more of their world; discovering interesting little quirks you two have, like the snowing when Elsa's sad; your likes and dislikes... Now that I'm here, in my final moments, I'm sad I will miss out on that and more." explained Rona, which left the group in silence for a long moment, while Rona gazed up at the sky, before she closed her eyes, and took a slow, long breath, and looked towards Anna, and reached out her hand towards her, who curiously takes it. "So, I've changed my mind, I want to stay."
Not only Anna, but everyone else, gasped a "What!?", though Anna quickly added, smiling...
"R-Really!? W-Wait, if this is because I guilt-tripped you earlier, I'm so-"
"Hehe, no, no." chuckles Rona, shaking her head. "The truth is, I began to have doubts, shortly after I arrived at your home. I want to experience more of your lives, Iduna's too. Waking up today, I was ready to meet my end, but now, I'm not. Like you said earlier, you can give me that. Our reunion and meeting has been too short."
"I'm so glad to hear that!" declared Anna with tears of delight trailing down her face. "I'll heal you right away!" she added, before Elsa began to move to allow Anna room, and Anna's hand started to glow with her magic, before Rona's quickly replied...
"Wait, not yet. I have a request."
"A request?" asked Anna, stopping her act.
"Yes, forgive me, but, I'd like you to wait ten minutes, then bring me back." requested Rona.
"W-What!?" gasped Anna, while the others also gasped and Magna asked...
"You still want to die!?"
Rona, however, smiles.
"I want to speak to my husband one more time." answered Rona, before she looked at Anna and continued, "Give me this."
"B-But, what if you accepting death somehow prevents me from bringing you back?" asked Anna worriedly.
"... Then that will be it." answered Rona with a smile. "... but I'm giving you permission to try and bring me back. If there's some sign from you while I'm gone, I'll know that's my path back and do my best to return or allow it; however it works."
"I... uh..." replied Anna, looking to the others for some kind of guidance on what she should do, but they said nothing, seemingly waiting on what she decided to do. It was quite a dilemma, she could heal Rona now, or allow her request and let her die right in front of her. However, Rona didn't request for her to heal her, but specifically, to revive her. Remembering this, the choice was already decided, as difficult as it would be to simply watch, Anna closed her eyes and took a deep breath, before looking at Rona.
"Alright, I'll do it."
"Thank you." replied Rona. "One more thing I want to make clear: This will be a one-time thing. The next time, my time comes, whether it's tomorrow or a year from now, I will accept it; I will not make this request again." she added, before smiling and commenting. "After all, I don't want to upset the natural balance of life and death."
"Heh, I understand." replied Anna, before she lowered Rona's hand at her side, before Iduna sniffled and commented to Rona...
"Say 'hi' to Father for me when you see him."
"Me too." added Magna, quickly followed by Honeymaren and Ryder, as well as Elsa and Anna, prompting a chuckle from Rona.
"I will." replied Rona with a smile, before taking a slow breath and looking up to the sky. "Instead of saying good-bye, I guess, see you all later, is more appropriate." she added, which earned her smiles from everyone, who all commented...
"See ya later."
Upon Rona closing her eyes, everyone but Agnarr, Elsa and Anna, reached a hand out to Rona to touch her, Iduna and Magna rested a hand on Rona's shoulders, Ryder, her arm and Honeymaren, her hand. Magna then looked at the three and commented...
"You can do what we're doing if you want. This is something we do in moments like this, so the person departing doesn't feel alone. The touch of another can be comforting."
The three silently joined in on the act, Agnarr and Elsa grabbing Rona's arm and Anna, her hand, who felt Rona also hold her hand.
Then, the group watched and waited as Rona's breathing calmly slowed, taking just moments, before one last exhale left her as Anna felt Rona's hand gripping hers, relax.
- 6:42 P.M. -
- ? -
Opening her eyes, Rona found herself still lying on her back, looking up to the sky. However, her body no longer felt heavy, and she was clearly alone, but it didn't stop her from looking to her right and left to confirm it, followed by a sad smile, before sat up and looked at her youthful hands.
"So, it wasn't just a very vivid dream." commented Rona, before she stood on her own power, and took a few steps in place, her legs no longer felt numb and her body felt energetic. "This is real. I really am... wherever this is." she added, before a delightful urge came to her, and she quickly began to run, no particular location in mind, just running because she could.
'It's been so long since I've run just to run!' thought Rona as she sprinted through the forest, jumping over the occasional elevated tree root, enjoying the wind in her face, the feeling of her feet meeting the ground and propelling her forward. "This feels great to do!" she declared aloud.
Rona eventually stopped her run when she approached a stream, stopping just shy of the water. Another step would have her walking into it. Despite her sprint though, Rona didn't find herself breathing quickly or tired in any way, and noticed a curious absence of something, a quicker beating heart. Lifting a hand up to her chest, Rona's eyes widened briefly when she didn't feel a heartbeat. The surprise passed quickly, however, as Rona chuckled.
"Well, I am dead, after all. Not much use for a beating heart."
Shortly after, Rona smiled as she felt and heard a presence walking up behind her, and the familiar voice of her husband...
"Well, while your physical body is dead, you're still very much alive."
Rona didn't turn around, instead, she waited for him to walk up beside her, to her left, before she turned to face him with a smile, who returned the smile as he lifted his hands up to cup her face.
"Welcome back, Rona." he greeted.
"Hello, Kaj." replied Rona delightfully as she lifted her hands up to his, before they both leaned in to kiss, and they took a moment to simply stare into each others eyes, before Kaj lowered his hands and presented his right to her.
"Ready to go?"
Looking down to the offered hand, Rona smiled nervously.
"Not quite..."
"Oh, ok." replied Kaj with a smile, though it was clear he was a little disappointed. "There's no rush; no one's going to force you." she added, prompting an apologetic look to come to Rona's face.
"Sorry. It's just, between my first visit and now, things have changed." commented Rona. "Anna, my- I mean, our grand-daughter, has magic, and the ability to bring me back to life." she added, prompting a simple, though wide-eyed, "Oh." from Kaj, before Rona continued, "But, I wanted to see you again. I hope this isn't going to cause a big problem. If it is though, I'm prepared-"
Kaj doesn't let Rona finish as he smiles, shakes his head, and places his hands on Rona's shoulders.
"It's ok." he interrupted. "If you've found a way back, then it's fine. You're not forced to do anything you don't want here."
"Really?" asked Rona.
"Really." answered Kaj, "Although, I was looking forward to you joining me, but I can wait a little longer." he added with a smile.
"Sorry." replied Rona with a sigh.
"No need for sorry's, it's ok, really."
"Well, this is a relief." stated Rona. "Anna was worried me accepting my death would stop her from bringing me back. I'm glad that's not the case... right?"
"Right." answered Kaj. "If Anna has that ability, then you can return. I'm curious though, what changed your mind?" he asked, which earned him a delighted smile from Rona.
"Seeing the life of our daughter, Iduna, and her children, Elsa and Anna." answered Rona, before looking out to the stream and sitting at it's edge, soon joined by Kaj, to her left. "I visited my grand-daughters home, Arendelle, and I began to have regrets that I wouldn't be able to see them live their lives, or experience their lives with them after meeting them for such a short time."
"I see." replied Kaj with a smile. "That's a good reason to stay with them. Enjoy your time with them. I'm not going anywhere. I'll be here when you return."
"Heh, sorry again." commented Rona, looking at her husband with a smile.
"I told you, it's ok." replied Kaj.
"Well, we still have a few minutes before Anna brings me back, there's plenty of stuff I can tell you about." commented Rona, before Kaj chuckled in amusement. "What? Did I say something funny?"
"Sorta." answered Kaj. "We can talk for however long you want here." he added. "Time does not flow the same here as it does in the mortal world."
"Really?" asked Rona, wide-eyed.
"Really. Since your physical body has died, separating you from the mortal world, you are not bound by time here like you were during your first visit." answered Kaj.
"Huh..." commented Rona, before looking out to the water and commenting lowly, to herself mostly, "Here... Since you've asked if I was ready, and offered your hand to me, I'm guessing this isn't the final destination, is it?" she asked, looking to Kaj.
"No, it's not."
"Then, what is this place we're in?" asked Rona, looking up at the trees, lightly swaying in the breeze, the sky, and down to the grass beneath her, even pulling out a few blades. "Everything feels so real here."
"It's called a Soulspace... it's a sort of... resting point for one's soul as they make the journey from the mortal world, to the spiritual." answered Kaj. "It allows them time to come to terms with their passing; if they need to. Souls typically spend a brief period of time here before a loved one and/or family member comes to retrieve them. If those two options aren't available though, someone still comes to retrieve them."
"Fascinating..." gasped Rona, wide-eyed. "Is there anyone else here?"
"No, these places are for the singular soul." answered Kaj. "This place is created from your memories. You and I are the only ones here."
"Really... This entire forest, is just for me?" asked Rona, looking at the stream with awe.
"It is. This place is meant to be a temporary stop for your soul to adjust in a familiar, and or calm environment. A familiar face can help as well. As your husband, I'm one of the very few allowed here."
"Heh, soooo..." replied Rona with a smile as she looked at her husband. "Could I just stay here as long as I want, and spend time with you?"
"Yep, so, tell me about these new grand-daughters of ours." answered Kaj.
"They're lovely young women, and sweet... and royalty, hehe." stated Rona, before lying on her left side, looking at Kaj, who joined her.
"Oh, really? Royalty, huh?"
"Hehe, really. Do you remember that time Arendelle visited us, and Iduna had a crush on that little prince?" Asked Rona.
"Ohh, I do, hehe." replied Kaj, before Rona gasps and asks...
"Oh, by the way, Iduna ended up dying before Anna brought her back. You didn't happen to meet her did you, or... was she not here..." asked Rona, becoming noticeably worried towards the end, even more-so when Kaj's smile faded, and he seemed hesitant to answer, but did so before Rona could press the issue.
"Iduna's soul made it here- well, not 'here', but her own Soulspace, and I did meet her, but..."
"But what!?" asked Rona eagerly. "Was something wrong?"
"Iduna was here, but... she was so guilt-ridden, and distressed for some reason that she wouldn't say." Answered Kaj. "She wouldn't allow herself to make the journey, saying she didn't deserve it, and remained here until she vanished."
"Oh..." commented Rona, sadly.
"It pained me to see her in such a state. I stayed with her until she left. I'm happy to know that she's alive and well though, and happy, I hope?"
"Heh, yeah, she's quite happy." replied Rona. "She's still troubled over her past actions that led to her death, but she's doing good."
"Well, that's a great relief to hear." replied Kaj with a sigh. "So, back to our grand-children. What about Magna? Does she have any children?"
"She does, Ryder and Honeymaren." answered Rona delightfully.
- 6:42 P.M. -
- Enchanted Forest -
Feeling Rona's hand go limp in her hold, fresh tears trailed down Anna's face as she squeezed Rona's now lifeless hand. Despite the previous agreement, it still hurt to watch Rona pass away right in front of her.
Agnarr was the only one of the group not quietly sobbing, but embraced Iduna. Magna was also hugged by Ryder and Honeymaren, before lastly, Elsa placed a hand on Anna's back, who soon sniffled back her tears and commented lowly...
"It's ok... I'll bring her back. She's just visiting grandpa."
"Yeah..." replied Elsa with a smile. "Hey, you're going to need extra energy to bring grandma back, how about I go home and bring you back something to eat?"
"Ok." replied Anna simply, her gaze remaining lowered to Rona's hand in hers.
Elsa then took a slow breath to calm herself, patting Anna's back before wiping the tears from her face, looking at her sobbing family for a moment, before standing and walking away about two yards, created a portal back to her room, before departing through it and the portal closing.
- Twelve minutes later -
Returning to the group, Elsa carried a plate with a rather substantial sandwich, and saw that her parents and Anna had swapped positions, with Anna sitting near Rona's shoulders and the overall mood of everyone had noticeably lifted compared to when she left.
"You're finally back." stated Anna with a smile, looking back to Elsa approaching and stood to greet her. "I was wondering what was taking you so- oh, that's a big sandwich." she added, prompting a chuckle from Elsa.
"Just want you to have plenty of energy." replied Elsa. "Don't want you passing out on us."
"Hehe, thanks." commented Anna, taking the plate and returning to her previous position, with Elsa joining her to her left.
Before Anna could start on the sandwich, however, Ryder commented...
"Wow, that looks good."
"Want some?" asked Anna. "This is a lot of sandwich, I don't mind share-"
"No." interrupted Elsa. "You need the energy. Ryder can get his own when he visits."
"Ugh, fine." replied Anna. "Sorry Ryder."
"It's alright." replied Ryder with a smile. "I've just never seen food like that."
"It's really good." stated Anna. "You just put stuff you like between two pieces of bread." she added, before lifting the plate and looking at the layers of the sandwich. "Let's see, this looks like a-"
"Eat first, then tell him what kinda of sandwich it is." interrupted Elsa.
"Geez, ok, ok." replied Anna with a smile, before lowering the plate to her lap and picking up the sandwich and lifting it to her mouth, before stopping, and looking at Rona lying in front of her, before lowering the sandwich back to the plate with a nervous smile. "Yanno, it feels kinda wrong to eat this right in front of grandma." she added, before Magna commented in front of her with a smile...
"It's fine, you need the extra energy."
"Yeah... still though..." replied Anna. "It doesn't sit well with me." she added, before standing. "I'll just walk away a bit and eat by myself." she continued, before turning and walking away, sitting behind a nearby tree, taking about an additional ten minutes to eat the whole sandwich. "Ohh, ok, I'm ready." commented Anna as she returned to the group, patting her stomach, before kneeling down beside Rona.
- 7:08 P.M. -
- Soulspace -
"This is incredible!" declared Rona in awe as she stood on the water's surface at the edge of a lake, holding her husband's hand at her left, who chuckled at her amazement.
"See?" commented Kaj. "This is your world; you can do whatever fantastical thing you want here."
"I see." replied Rona with a smile, before releasing Kaj's hand and doing a short hop and she still remained above the water. "Hehe, if I didn't know I was dead, I'd definitely think I was dreaming."
"Except this dream is real." commented Kaj.
"Yeah..." stated Rona, before taking a few steps further on the water and looking around the area. "This whole place is amazing, and it's just a temporary stop. The final destination must be even more amazing. What's it like? Are there people there?" asked Rona, prompting a small chuckle from Kaj.
"I figured this question would come up. Unfortunately though, that's a topic I'm not allowed to give much detail on, considering you plan to return to the mortal world. Those in charge want it to be a bit of a mystery, to avoid further miss- ah... I can't finish that statement." answered Kaj.
"Oh, ok then. Is there anything you are allowed to tell me? Or is it all forbidden?"
"There's some stuff I can say, such as; there are other people there you can meet and talk to, and it's a really, really big place. From what you've described Arendelle to be, it's similar to that; a really big, beautiful town. You'd like it."
"Hehe, well, from that explanation, it just sounds like a normal, friendly place."
"Well, aside from being separated by a plane of existence, it is." replied Kaj.
"Heh, well, since you're not allowed to go into detail, I won't ask anymore questions on the topic. Don't want you getting in trouble after all." stated Rona with a smile, prompting a chuckle from Kaj, before Rona added... "But I do find it interesting that you have rules. It's not really something I considered. So what happens if someone breaks a rule or is that something you can't answer?" she added, before gasping and placing a hand over her mouth. "Oh! I said I wouldn't ask anymore questions about it."
"Heh, it's alright. I can answer that." replied Kaj. "The individual is punished, according to the rule they broke, of course."
"So everyone's in one place?" asked Rona. "No Good Place for good people and Bad Place for bad people?" she added, prompting a chuckle from Kaj.
"That, I can't answer."
"Alright then." replied Rona with a smile, before looking down to the water she was still standing on. "Change of topic..." she commented, before squatting and placing her right hand into the water, but in the rippling waves, she saw her reflection, and was reminded of her appearance. "I was older when I died, but I'm young here, why?"
"You appear here in a younger form to make the adjustment smoother." answered Kaj, before walking in front of Rona's and squatting in front of her with a smile. "But if you don't want to be young, you don't have to be." he added, which prompted a small chuckle from Rona.
"Heh, of course. Because I can do anything here."
"Not this particular one." stated Kaj with a smile. "You no longer have a physical form, you can freely change your appearance to any you've had in your life."
"Really?" asked Rona.
"Really. This is an innate ability of what we now are."
"Hehe... but wouldn't it be weird for you if I turned into my old self?"
"Not at all." replied Kaj with a smile, before lifting a hand up to caress Rona's cheek. "Show me the beauty age has given you. Just picture it in your mind and desire the change."
Although smiling from the comment, Rona was clearly hesitant, before she closed her eyes, and Kaj saw her rapidly age up to her current physical body.
"I still feel the same; did it wo-" commented Rona, before she opened her eyes, and first looked down at her hands and saw the familiar aged hands she remembered having, but didn't lift her gaze to Kaj, who did it for her as he gently grabbed her chin and lifted her face, where Rona shyly glanced to him and saw him smiling at her.
"You're beautiful." stated Kaj, prompting Rona's face to redden and look away with a smile.
"You're just saying that."
"Heh, no, I'm serious. Time has treated you well. You really are beautiful." commented Kaj, before he leaned in, intent clear, but paused inches before Rona's face, who met his gaze with a smile, before leaning in as well and kissing him for a few moments, feeling familiar feelings stir within her, which surprised her, before she pulled back with a giddy chuckle. "Since I didn't have the opportunity to grow old with you, I'm unable to match you."
"That's ok." replied Rona, before briefly closing her eyes and returning to her previous, younger form. "I love you just the way you are. You're beautiful." she added, prompting a chuckle from Kaj, before Rona briefly averted her gaze and bit her lower lip. "Based on what I'm feeling right now, I'm guessing a particular act of love is still a thing here?"
"Heh, yes, it is." answered Kaj with a smile, before he was only slightly surprised when Rona quickly initiated a passionate kiss, before pushing him onto his back and straddling him.
"Ohhh, it's been so long!" declared Rona delightfully, before Kaj chuckled and placed his hand to Rona's hips.
"It has." he commented, before Rona leaned down and gave Kaj another quick kiss and a smirk.
"Do you still remember that thing I like?"
"Heh, you mean, this?" answered Kaj, with a smirk as well, as he reached his hands under her pants, each going to their own warm holes he prodded, earning himself a giggling moan from Rona, before she kisses him again...
- 7:08 P.M. -
- Enchanted Forest -
"Ohh, ok, I'm ready." commented Anna as she returned to the group, patting her stomach, before kneeling down beside Rona.
Briefly closing her eyes, Anna took a slow, deep breath, before extending her hands over Rona's lifeless body. Anna's hands and Rona's body glows red with Anna's magic, while the others look on, and wait with anticipation.
With three revivals under her belt, Anna started to get familiar with the process. The body and spirit were separated at the moment of death, and Anna's magic allowed her to reach beyond the boundary of death, and into the unknown void to find the other half, and repair the severed connection. The body and soul were like two magnets that lost their attraction and drifted apart, but Anna could renew it, it was this process that rapidly drained her.
A minute into the act, Anna could feel the weakening effect, but still had plenty of energy to continue, and soon felt the link between body and soul reconnect as she felt the spark of life return to Rona's body, before she awoke with a gasp, prompting cheers of delight from the group, particularly, Magna, Ryder and Honeymaren excitedly declaring...
"You're back!"
Rona then looked around at the group with a smile, seeing Iduna silently crying happy tears.
"I am." replied Rona, before sitting up on her own power, though Magna quickly attempted to help her, but Rona commented. "It's fine, I feel even better than before, thanks to Anna."
Looking at Anna, Rona saw her smile at her.
"I'm glad you're back." stated Anna, clearly looking a little tired, before Elsa placed a hand on Anna's shoulder and asked...
"How do you feel?"
"A bit winded, but I'm good." answered Anna with a smile. "I'm getting better at this." she added, before Honeymaren asked Rona...
"Are you sure you feel ok? You might be feeling really good from the revival."
However, before Rona could answer, Anna did...
"She should be a hundred percent better. I wouldn't revive her without healing whatever illness she had before dying."
"Thank you for that." replied Rona, before to Magna and her children's further surprise, Rona stood on her own, though Magna still insisted on aiding her to her feet, before she let go. "I really feel the difference. I feel so much lighter and full of energy."
"Well, try not to exert yourself too much." stated Magna. "At least for today, just in case."
"I won't." replied Rona.
The rest of the group also stands. However, Anna stumbles back as she stands up straight, though Elsa quickly supports her, with an arm across her back and taking her hand.
"Whoa there."
"Thanks." replied Anna with a smile. "Got a bit light-headed standing up." she added, before kneeling. "Ohhh, I haven't passed out, but I feel like I could. I'm definitely out of commission at the moment." she added, before Agnarr commented with a smile.
"Well, given what you just did, it's understandable."
Anna only smiles at the comment, before Iduna walks up to her mother and hugs her.
"Welcome back Mother." commented Iduna, before Rona quickly returned the embrace, before Magna, Ryder and Honeymaren joined in for a group hug, which was soon joined in by Elsa, prompting Anna to complain as she sat...
"Aw, I want in on the group hug too."
Anna then slowly, with Agnarr's help, taking her by the hand, returned to her feet and sighed with a smile.
"Ok, I'm good this time." commented Anna, before joining in on the hug, though looking to her father and adding, "Come on Father, you too." who, after a chuckle, did so.
"I'm glad to be back." replied Rona, before everyone pulled away and so did Iduna, but she held onto her mother's hands with a smile.
"So, did you manage to meet Father?"
"I did." answered Rona, smiling at Iduna as she recalled what Kaj told her about Iduna's appearance, and lifted her right hand up to caress Iduna's cheek, who raised a curious eye at the lingering stare.
"W-What is it?"
"Nothing." replied Rona, before looking to her left and right, and adding, "Kaj says hi to you all. He was very interested to know about our grandchildren, both old and new."
"I wish we could've met him." stated Anna, before Ryder added...
"Yeah, me too."
"So what was it like on the other side of death?" asked Honeymaren. "You clearly remember it." she added, before Anna quickly added excitedly...
"Yeah! What was Heaven like!? Did you meet God!?"
The two questions prompted a chuckle from Rona, before she lowered her hand from Iduna.
"I wasn't in any Heaven, and I didn't meet God." answered Rona, briefly looking up at the sky with smile. "Kaj said the place I was in was a sort of resting spot for souls before they finish their journey to the other side."
"Whoa..." gasped Honeymaren and Anna, while the others also looked impressed, before Ryder adds...
"So, a place in-between."
"Right." replied Rona, before Elsa asked...
"What was the place like? Was it familiar, or a place you've never been?"
"It was very familiar." answered Rona with a smile. "It was this forest. Kaj said it was a place created by my memories. He called it a Soulspace, a familiar place where souls can adjust and come to terms with their death. I was quite settled with the fact of my death though."
"Oh..." replied Anna sadly, "So, you would've passed on smoothly if I hadn't brought you back." she added, before Rona smiled and patted Anna on the shoulder.
"I wanted to come back. I gave you permission to try. Don't beat yourself up about it."
"Yeah." added Honeymaren, before she hugged Rona from behind. "It was her choice to make, and I'm glad she decided to stay with us a little longer."
"Me too." added Ryder.
"Heh, so am I." replied Rona as she patted Honeymaren's arms wrapped around her. "So, how about we head back, and let everyone see the good news?"
"Alright." stated Elsa. "I can make a portal back." she added, before turning around and extending her left hand out, but Rona quickly commented...
"Wait, I'd rather enjoy the walk back, if you don't mind."
"Oh, well, ok then." replied Elsa as she turned around. "You think you can handle that?"
"I can." answered Rona confidently. "Before, my lack of energy prevented me from walking for any worthwhile period of time. Now, I just want to enjoy the act of walking."
"Heh, alright then." replied Elsa, before the group began to walk back to camp, with Magna leading a step ahead, but Rona stood to her left and Iduna to hers as mother and daughters walked together.
Ryder and Honeymaren walked behind them, while Elsa, Anna and Agnarr brought up the rear.
"Good job, Anna." commented Agnarr, as he placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Thanks." replied Anna with a smile, before moments into the walk, Ryder commented...
"It's amazing to know for a fact that there's a place we go after we die."
"Yeah..." added Honeymaren. "So we'll still be together as a family. It makes death a little more bearable, knowing it's just a temporary good-bye."
"Speaking of death..." commented Magna, before she looked at Iduna. "Hey, you died, do you remember anything? Did you meet Dad too?" she asked, prompting a light chuckle from Iduna, who shook her head.
"No, sorry. I still don't remember anything. It's like I went to sleep, violently, and woke up."
"Not even something you thought was a dream?" asked Magna.
"... well..." started Iduna, as Magna and Rona both looked at Iduna curiously. "I don't know what it was, but there was some foggy... thing, I vaguely remember. It's like trying to grab smoke. Something with Elsa and Anna in a forest, maybe this one, and I wanna help them somehow, for some reason." she explained, which drew Elsa and Anna's attention, as they both thought, respectively...
'So, Emory was right.'
'She does remember, partly, anyway.'
Iduna, though, shrugs her shoulders and continued...
"I can't make any sense of it. Regarding meeting our dad though, nope, nothing; sorry." answered Iduna with a smile. "But... if I was lucky enough to have an experience like Mother, heading to heaven, and still had all my mental faculties, then..." she added, looking away with a sigh. "I don't know that I would accept it. I wouldn't feel that I deserved it."
Following this comment, Rona placed a hand to Iduna's shoulder, prompting her gaze, seeing her mother smile at her, before Magna asked...
"Why not?"
"Because of the guilt I feel for my past actions." answered Iduna. "My fears and lies that lead to Elsa and Anna's suffering. It's not something I'm proud of, especially as a mother. So, I don't see myself as 'heaven-worthy'."
"Wow..." commented Honeymaren sadly. "It's so sad to hear you think of yourself that way."
"Yeah." added Anna, as she walked up to Iduna's left. "You don't need to feel guilty anymore, we've forgiven you." she continued, prompting a smile to return to Iduna's face.
"That is true; you have forgiven me, but I haven't forgiven myself, not yet, at least." replied Iduna, before Elsa asked...
"Then, is there anything we can do to help?"
"Just give me time." answered Iduna. "I'm grateful for you being able to forgive me, but it's a bit harder for me to forgive myself."
"Alright." replied Anna.
After a few moments, Elsa looked at her father and asked...
"So, Father, what about you? Do you remember anything?"
"Actually, I do." answered Agnarr. "I hadn't thought anything of it until the topic was brought up, but Iduna described it very accurately with the smoke. You can touch it but you can't grab it. I do remember experiencing something, but I can barely recall it."
"Well, what can you remember?" asked Elsa.
"Meeting my mother." answered Agnarr. "And that's literally it; I just remember meeting her, nothing about a location, us talking or not, just the fact that I met her."
"Wow..." commented Elsa. "I wonder why Grandma's the only one that vividly remembers her experience."
"I have the answer to that." stated Rona, as she briefly looked back to Elsa with a smile.
"Seriously?" asked Anna.
"Yep. I spent a long time with Kaj." answered Rona. "He said time worked differently where I was. So, I had plenty of time with him before I got Anna's signal to return." she added, to the awe of everyone, before Honeymaren asked...
"So, how long did you spend there?"
"A few hours at the very least." answered Rona, to the wide-eyed surprise of everyone, before Ryder commented...
"Wow, it was maybe thirty minutes for us."
"Thirty minutes?" asked Rona. "I'm pretty sure I said you could bring me back sooner than that."
"You did." replied Anna. "You said ten minutes, but Elsa spent about ten minutes getting me something to eat so I'd have the energy to bring you back, then it took me about ten minutes to eat the sandwich she brought me."
"Ah, I see." commented Rona. "So, back to Elsa's question: While I was with Kaj, one of many questions I asked was why did I remember our first meeting so vividly, and would I remember our second one too. He said I would, and the reason was, because I had accepted my death. He said retaining memories of the Soulspace varies depending on the stress you feel at the moment of death."
"So..." started Iduna with a sigh. "If your violently murdered by drowning..." she added, before frowning as the memory flashed in her mind and she placed a hand over her face. "You're not remembering much."
"Unfortunately, yes." answered Rona. "Usually though, once you die, you're not expected to return. Thanks to Anna though, I was one of the special cases. So, since I was more or less at peace and accepting of my departure, my mind was open to the experience, so I could retain the memory upon my return."
"Wow." commented Anna, Elsa, Ryder and Honeymaren at the same time, which prompted a chuckle from all four, before Magna smiled and looked at Iduna, who had lowered her hand from her face, though still looked a little troubled, before Magna commented...
"So maybe you did meet Dad, Iduna, you just don't remember it."
"Maybe..." stated Iduna, before Magna added...
"Hey, since Mom said she was with dad for hours, surely the topic of you came up-"
"No..." stated Iduna, lowering her gaze to the ground with a sigh. "I don't want to know. If I don't remember it, then it's probably for the best."
"Oh, ok." replied Magna, now worried that she had mistakenly given her sister something to worry about. "Sorry."
"It's fine." replied Iduna with a smile at her sister. "It's just, given what Mother said, what I said earlier is probably a reality. I don't need it possibly confirmed." she added, although, Rona still comforted her with a hand on her back and stroking her, while Anna took hold of her hand, both smiling at her, which prompted a bigger smile from Iduna. "Heh, thanks."
- 7:43 P.M. -
- Northuldra Camp -
Upon the groups return to the camp, attention was quickly drawn to them, or rather, Rona, from the surprise of seeing her alive and well, walking normally, without aid. It wasn't long before Yelana walked up to them, a delighted smile on her face.
"Rona, it's so good to see you! You're walking normally too!"
"Heh, yeah." replied Rona with a smile, before she hugged Yelana, who eagerly returned the embrace. "I ended up changing my mind at the last moment." she added, before pulling away. "I just didn't have it in me to leave so soon after being reunited with Iduna and her children." continued Rona, before stepping to Yelana's left and turning to face the others. "So I agreed to have Anna bring me back. The next time my time comes though, whenever that may be, I'll accept it."
"Well, I'm glad you're sticking around for however long this second chance gives you." replied Yelana. "How do you feel?"
"Great, especially compared to before." answered Rona. "Heh, I still don't think any running is in my future, but I won't be confined to my bed anymore."
"Wonderful! It'll be good to see you up and about like you were before." commented Yelana.
"I'm looking forward to it."
Yelana then looked at the smiling faces in front of her and commented...
"I can imagine how happy you all must be."
"Yep!" declared Anna happily. "Quite happy! Though I do wish Grandma had changed her mind sooner, but better late than never." she added, before Rona chuckled nervously and commented...
"Yeah... sorry about that. In hindsight, I did cause a lot of unneeded stress."
"It's alright." replied Magna. "At least you had the opportunity to change your mind, and we're glad you did."
Meanwhile, Elsa noticed Agnarr looking around the camp, seemingly for something.
"Father, you looking for something?"
"Hmm, it's not too important." answered Agnarr. "It just occurred to me that I could meet your doubles if I could spot Emory."
"Oh, right."
"It doesn't look like she's in the area though." commented Agnarr. "So I can just wait until next time. It's starting to get late anyway."
"OK then. The next time we meet them, we'll introduce you." replied Elsa.
"Thanks."
- 9:47 P.M. -
- Arendelle, Elsa's Room -
"Nnghh!" groaned Anna as she stretched, standing nude at the side of Elsa's bed, who currently occupied said bed, lacking clothing as well, waiting for Anna to join her. "What an emotional day!" commented Anna, before she joined Elsa in bed and made herself comfortable under the cover with her, smiling at Elsa, who smiled back. "But I'm glad it ended positively."
"Me too." replied Elsa. "I'm glad grandma chose to stay with us."
"Yeah. Everything's right in the world." stated Anna cheerfully. "Aside from Father's stance on our relationship though, but all the issues and problems we've had have been taken care of. There's nothing major we have to-" continue Anna, before she was stopped and a little surprised when Elsa suddenly placed a finger over her mouth with a smirk.
"Whoa there..." commented Elsa, before replacing her finger with her lips briefly. "Don't jinx it." she warned.
"Hehe, right." chuckled Anna. "Anyway, for now, we can just relax and work on our next goal; the welcome back party for Mom and Dad! Rona will be able to join too, along with Magna, Ryder and Honeymaren."
"Hehe, I'm looking forward to it." stated Elsa.
END
NOTE: Rona lives! Yay! Seriously though, when planning this chapter, I had a tough time deciding if Rona should actually die or not, but eventually I settled on her living, cause like a reviewer mentioned, and Rona herself, it was just too soon after the reunion for her to die, realistic perhaps, but not very fun. So, I can confidently say I have no plans on Rona's dying anytime soon ^_^
