A/N: What's up everyone! So, as I stated before, shorts would be coming back after episode 3. I decided to start off with something that would allow the audience get to know some little tidbits about the characters better that may not exactly show itself this season because of eliminations, etc. And so, I present to you Total Drama News! Enjoy!

"Hey everyone!" Julie said in front of the camera. "I'm Julie!"

"I'm Riley!"

"I'm Dewey!"

"And recording is Huey Duck here!" Huey said, giving a thumbs up as it could be seen in the camera.

"And today we've decided to try something new to help you get to know some of the contestants a little more outside of the challenges!" Dewey said, pointing to the screen.

"Today will mark the first ever Total Drama News session! Which will feature different headlines and even interviews!" Riley said.

"And since this is our first ever interview, we'll start off with some easy starter questions! Each person we go to will be given the option to answer as many or as few questions as they like!" Julie said.

"Or for you more angsty or nervous interviewees, you can always choose not to answer if you want." Dewey said.

"And so, here are the questions! The first question, fitting for this segment of the Total Drama season is: What is your favorite song of the season so far? The second question is: What is your favorite food or hobby or what is your least favorite of one of the two? And finally, the third question is: What is your ideal type of partner in a romantic relationship?" Julie said.

"Now then, let's get to- wait a second. That third one's not a simple question! Who put that in there? I thought the third was who is your favorite person here."

"Well, same thing right?" Riley said.

"Ah-ha! I'll take that as a confession!" Dewey said.

"Uh guys, the camera's rolling!" Huey D. said.

Interviewee 1: Kagami(Radical Rats)

They went to Kagami first, who was listening to music on his phone, black and red headphones on. Guess Who's Back by Rakim could be heard from them.

I control the crowd, you know Ra hold it down
When it drop, you know it's jiggy when you hear the sound

Kagami looked up and saw the four and paused the music, putting the headphones around his neck.

"What's up?" Kagami said.

"So Kagami, let's start with you. Care for an interview?" Julie asked.

"Sure. How you guys doin'?"

"Great! Thanks for asking!" Dewey said.

"We're asking everyone the different questions. You can answer as many or as few as you want." Riley said before reading out the questions.

"Romance huh? Not really the ideal person to ask about that honestly. But I guess I can give all three a shot."

"Alright. First one. I wouldn't really say I have one yet. But, if I had to choose one, Escape From the City was pretty good. Nothin' against those songs. They're not bad. But I wouldn't consider any of 'em my favorite."

"That's a pretty good choice. It's a fun song." Dewey said.

"Let's see. Favorite food. Cheeseburgers. American. Me and my brother would eat those all the time after we played basketball when we were little kids. He was the first friend I ever made in America, and how I began to love basketball. Tatsuya was the guy who taught me. So they'll always hold a special place in my heart because of that."

"Tatsuya. You mean Kuroko?" Julie asked.

"Nah. Tatsuya Himuro."

"Pretty funny their names are pretty similar. So it's kinda make sense people would get confused if you didn't mention the last name." Dewey said.

"Alright, favorite hobby. Basketball, obviously. But I guess that's pretty boring. Surfing's the second thing I like doing too."

"You didn't have to answer both. One was fine." Dewey said.

"Really? My bad."

"Hey, the more the merrier! That's fine! I never expected you to be a surfer." Riley said.

"Well, might as well finish it off and get the trifecta. It's gonna be a bit difficult though since I've never had a girlfriend." Kagami said. "But, I love a challenge. Now then, let's see…" He said before thinking for several seconds.

"Okay. I think I got it. Well, someone who's stable. Guess elegant would be a second thing if I had to choose that too. She's gotta look good, right? But uh, mostly stable."

"And could you further elaborate on what you mean by 'stable'?" Riley asked.

"Uh, well, someone that's got a job. Headstrong, stuff like that. I don't mind protecting them, but, I think it's only fair if she's got a good job too right? Someone that's got that fire in them too. That ain't willin' to call it quits that easy. Could be in anything. Don't have to be just basketball, or even sports at all. Not everything's gonna be easy. Hell, I get frustrated too sometimes. But you can't just lay down and quit on everything. And I'd really want someone that ain't afraid to tell me that either if I ever thought about it. Because I'd tell that to them too. Relationships are like friendships right? Friends care for each other and be honest with one another. We should feed off each other's strength. And help both of us get stronger individually. " Kagami explained. "Hope that makes any sense. Like I said, I've never been in a relationship before to really say I know what I'm talking about but, that's about the most honest answer I could give."

"Hey, I think that's a great answer." Riley said, reassuring him.

"Well, that's all the questions we have for you! Thanks again!" Julie said.

"No prob." Kagami said.

Interviewee 2: Puss(Radical Rats)

"Next up! Puss in Boots! The fearless hero returning from Multiverse Edition!" Julie said as Puss was playing a board game with Rocky.

"Ooh! What's going on here? Can I join in?" Rocky asked.

"This one's for Puss only. But we can get to you next." Dewey said.

"Deal!" Rocky said, eager to have the camera and mic in front of him, even though he pretty much had no idea what was going on.

"An interview huh? I am an open book! Ask away!" Puss said.

Dewey read out the questions to him. "Disclaimer: My brother and I did not put in that third question."

"No worries. I myself am unafraid to say that I am currently in a relationship." Puss said.

"Aww!" Dewey, Huey, Julie, Riley and even Rocky all said simultaneously.

Puss smirked. "Beware. For she is just as deadly as I am."

"After what I saw last season, I believe it." Julie said.

"Now then, favorite song. Hmm….. personally, Escape from the City and Chain are my favorites. I can't decide between either. Energetic, fun, and adventurous. Like myself!"

"Favorite hobby. Adventures of course!"

"All answers that make sense honestly. Thank you Puss!" Riley said.

"Anytime. I wish you all a good day. And good luck on the challenges ahead." Puss said.

Interviewee 3: Rocky(Radical Rats)

"Next up, Rocky! How's it going man?" Dewey asked.

"Pretty good. Trying to figure out how to beat Puss at this game. And right now. It's not going so well." Rocky said. "So you've got some questions for me. Let's see… are they the same ones?" Rocky asked.

"Yes!" Julie said.

"Remember you can answer as few or as many as possible." Riley said.

"Okay. Let's see….. favorite song? Call me biased but Anything But Down." Rocky answered.

"Is it because you played it?" Huey asked from behind the camera.

"That's exactly it. That type of music isn't really my taste, but that was definitely fun playing with everyone. Hiruma, you're an evil genius!"

"Is Hiruma actually evil?" Huey asked.

"Uh…. I don't know. Maybe?" Rocky said.

"He does keep doing those evil grins." Dewey said.

"Fair." Huey said. "Still though, if he's evil, then he's doing a real good in manipulating his friends too. The others really seem nice."

"For a favorite food. Pancakes with maple syrup. Please let that be a first class breakfast one of these days."

"As for romance. Well….. I don't know. I've had encounters of 'various sorts'. Oh, but I do like playing the violin. Poetry. Anything involving the arts."

"All acceptable and understandable answers. Thank you!" Riley said.

"Anytime! Hey wait! I don't get paid for this?"

Interviewee 4: Marinette

"Next up, Marinette!" Dewey announced as the camera was recording her as she was creating some art on her tablet. She looked up and saw the group approaching and giving them a friendly wave.

"Hey! Are you guys doing some sort of interview?" Marinette asked.

"Yep! Care for some questions?" Riley asked.

"Sure! Ask away."

After Dewey presented the questions, Marinette answered them to the best of her ability.

"I can change my answer later right?"

"Sure. We'll probably ask this again at the end of this part of the season." Julie said.

"If we make it that far." Huey D. said.

"If? You mean when we make it that far." Dewey said.

"Easy. Chain. Escape from the City's really close though. Honestly, I couldn't go wrong with saying either's my favorite."

"Let's see. Favorite hobby or favorite food? My favorite hobby is fashion designing."

"And as for romance. First and foremost, someone who's kind. And honest. Sure, it'd be nice to have similar likes and favorites, but it kinda doesn't mean much if they're not a good person. Even if it's not something I want to hear, it'd mean a lot to know the honesty comes from a genuinely good place."

"All very good answers. Thank you!" Julie said.

Interviewee 5: Asta(Wave Breakers)

Eijun was trying to pick up one of Asta's swords, but to no avail. He eventually gave up.

"WOO! You must be crazy strong!" Eijun said to Asta, wiping sweat off his forehead.

"Yep! All of that training and hard work paid off big time!" Asta said proudly.

"I may not be as strong as you, but I'll get there someday!" Eijun declared with a grin before immediately starting to do pushups. "Strength like that will definitely help increase the speed of my pitches!"

"Yeah! That's the spirit!"

Both of them noticed the four approaching.

"Oh hey Julie! What's going on?" Asta asked.

"We're doing an interview, interviewing different people. And we decided that it'd only be right to interview the new additions so people could learn a bit more about them." Julie explained.

"Ah! I see. Ask away!" Asta said.

"So, since you haven't been hear to hear all of the songs, we'll replace that with this question: If you were to win, what would you do with the money?"

"Well, to be honest, I don't really know how much we'll get if we win. But, I'll be thankful for whatever we get, and send it to the church that I came from. I came from the village of Hage. Without the church taking care of me, and raising me, I wouldn't be the person that I am today. This money would help them out a lot I'm sure. But even then, money wouldn't be enough to repay all that they've done for me. That'll only happen when I become the Wizard King. And facing strong opponents like these is one step to me getting stronger!"

"Ten million dollars would definitely help I'd think." Riley said.

"WOW! THAT'S A LOT OF MONEY!" Asta shouted in shock. Although he had no idea that this wasn't in Yul.

"Next question. What is your favorite food or favorite hobby? Or, what is you least favorite food or hobby?" Dewey asked.

Noelle was at a table with Ayame before she saw Asta in the distance.

"Huh. What's Asta doing?" Noelle said.

"Not sure. Looks like their workout is drawing a bit of a crowd." Ayame said.

"Why are those girls talking to Asta? I should find out. Just to make sure he's okay of course!" Noelle thought.

"I wouldn't say I have a food I don't like. I don't think I'd dare say that. But, my favorite food would have to be potatoes. But like I said, I wouldn't mind eating any other food."

"Heh. I'm the same way!" Eijun said.

"Don't lie to the public! You hate natto remember?" Miyuki said, appearing out of nowhere.

Eijun had a blank look on his face before grabbing Miyuki and comically shaking him.

"THIS ISN'T YOUR INTERVIEW MIYUKI! SO STOP BUTTING IN!" Eijun yelled as he continued to shake him.

"This isn't yours either." Miyuki said, grinning and trying to refrain from laughing on camera.

"SHUT UP! STOP TRYING TO CHANGE THE SUBJECT!"

"Last question. What is your ideal type of partner in a romantic relationship?" Julie asked.

Noelle, after getting to the two, seemed completely flustered after hearing this question.

"Type of partner? You mean like a boy or girl?" Asta asked.

"What the heck kind of questions are you asking him!? Of course he'd be interested in girls!" Noelle said.

"Well, I'd say both guys and girls are equally interesting." Asta said. "Both can be strong. I mean just look at you Noelle."

"You say that as if it's surprising." Noelle said, before folding her arms, seemingly returning to a confident expression. "Asta complimented me! And he's right! He's one of the reasons I've gotten so strong!"

"Then there's Ruby. Oh yeah and we can't forget about our own squad mates! Charmy, Grey, Mimosa, Grey, Vanessa."

"Idiot. That's not what she means. She's not talking about teammates." Noelle said. "That moron. He ruined it."

"Oh. Then what are you talking about then?" Asta asked.

"Well, since we've got both of you here, we'll ask you both the same thing. By partner we mean someone you're be in a romantic relationship with." Riley clarified.

"Me too!? But why?" Noelle asked.

"Well, we actually were going to interview you too and ask you those some questions. So, we might as well as you both here at the same time." Julie said.

"I… have to go! And so do you!" Noelle said before dragging away Asta and running off.

"What? Why? Where are we going? Is our first challenge about to start?" Asta asked.

"No! We need to…. practice!" Noelle said, coming up with that on the fly. "For the challenges! The other teams are pretty strong, so we should use this time to prepare ourselves."

"Ah I see! You're right! We can't slack off if we want to win!" Asta said with a grin.

"Phew." Noelle said. She could always use training as one of her safe outs when it came to pulling Asta away that's for sure.

"And I guess that's it." Dewey said, leaving the remaining people there confusd.

"Well, that's all for today folks! Post what questions you'd like to ask a contestant for next time!" Julie said.

"It doesn't even have to be a group question. You can ask a question to one character specifically too!" Riley said.

"We're looking forward to seeing what you come up with!" Julie said.

"Until next time TD Fans!" Dewey said before Huey stopped the recording.
