Hey, everyone! Last chapter was a bit of a fun one, right? Well, this chapter will be served as a crucial turning point of the story. Our big surprise will be seen in this chapter! Can you guess what it is? Well, just read this chapter and you'll know! Anyways, let's get started!

Chapter 10: Speed Cycle War

Across town, Doofenshmirtz and Perry are trying to hide from the drones that are chasing them. They hide in a coffee shop.

Doofenshmirtz: Whew! That was close! Good thing for us, we found this coffee shop. And good thing, too, as they make some delicious espresso. (drinks some) Hmm, needs a little more sugar, perhaps. Anyways, the coast is clear. Let's move.

The doctor and platypus walk out of the coffee shop, and walk around the area, trying to find a way to get them back to the group.

Doofenshmirtz: So, how do we get back?

Another portal opens up, which is on the top of a building.

Doofenshmirtz: Hey, look, a portal! Okay, Perry the Platypus... (a laser is fired at their direction, revealed to be incoming drones) ...get us out of there!

Perry activates his grappling hook and carries Doofenshmirtz with him directly to the middle floor of the building, but a drone fires a harpoon at them and they crash into the middle floor. Luckily, it didn't hit them. The drones reach closer towards them.

Doofenshmirtz: (grabs the harpoon) Hey, crazy robots, it's fishing season! (throws it, and it hits a drone, damaging it, and it fires at another drone, which fires at another one, until only a few still stand; the doctor and platypus run towards the elevator and the door closes before the remaining drones enter)

As the elevator goes up, the doctor and platypus look at each other, awkwardly.

Doofenshmirtz: So... uh, how has things been for you?

Perry shrugs. The elevator reaches the top floor, and the two climb to the top of the building, where the portal is still active. The two of them run into the portal. They land into a holding space between the worlds of the portals. They land on a metal platform.

Doofenshmirtz: Hey, this isn't bad. (the platform begins to bend) It's bad! It's bad! It's bad! (they run as they try to outrun the bending platform; they jump and they try to float towards the next portal, where they land in a dark area) Where are we? I hope this isn't my father's timeout area. I always feared that place.

The lights flicker on, and it's revealed that the two are landed in a prison, with there being numerous agents and drones patrolling the area.

Doofenshmirtz: Where did we land? (they check a nearby monitor) "Famous Villain's Hideout; made famous by Anti-SB?" We landed into a prison of a supervillain, who's more evil than me?! That's not fair.

The cell automatically unlocks, and another portal opens. Out comes Anti-SB, with his helmet on.

Anti-SB: Well, how do we have here? A pharmacist and a beaver duck.

Doofenshmirtz: Wait a minute, he's a platypus and I'm a pharmacist. Why does everyone always confuse me for a pharmacist?!

Anti-SB: Ah, I know you. You're the great evil scientist, Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz, and your arch-enemy, Perry the Platypus.

Doofenshmirtz: Wait, you're that guy on the train. We never got to see your introduction.

Anti-SB: My introduction? You're gonna get it. (his helmet digitally comes off, revealing his face) I'm Anti-SB, but call me the Anti-SpongeBob.

Doofenshmirtz: Anti-SB? So that other sponge kid, his name is SpongeBob?

Anti-SB: Exactly. And I'm planning my revenge against his dimwit best friend. For both versions have done something horrible to us.

Doofenshmirtz: What did they do?

Anti-SB: They messed our SCAR club letters. Got us rejected. I knew about it, but he doesn't. I disowned my best friend, and somehow, I found the Portal Box, the secret to all powerful technology. It foreshadowed my path, and I decided to take it, so people can notice me! I had the box inside my possession, until it somehow disappeared. I also found this ship and all these people and drones! I located time crystals so I can find it. And you two, you two great species, have landed in my prison!

The prison is showing to be huge, with there being numerous people, with a portion of those being Bikini Bottom citizens.

Doofenshmirtz: (disturbed) Um, I think we ought to get moving. (he and Perry try to leave, but two guards grab them)

Anti-SB: Store them into the top! They, the fugitives, will be in the area of a futuristic New York City soon! Oh, and by the way, I found and rebuilt your inator! (the inator is shown) Oh, and a self-destruct button? Please.

Doofenshmirtz: Hey, it's exceptional! But my schemes fail because of it! (he and Perry are carried away)

Anti-SB: Reactive helmet. Activate the inator. And bring my static electricity gloves! (everything happens as said so) Now, my grand scheme will soon happen. And everyone will fall apart. (walks into the portal, which closes)

Meanwhile, SpongeBob and Patrick are running from the angry mob.

SpongeBob: We need to find somewhere to hide! Ah! Let's go there! (the two of them run into an office, where the angry mob passes by) Whew! That was close! (the employees hold weapons) Run for it! Run!

He and Patrick run out of the building, with the employees chasing after them. Meanwhile, the rest of SpongeBob and Patrick's group is trying to find them.

Sandy: So the device has their color-coordination on it. I hope we find them soon. I don't think they can go through such horrible things like this.

Buford: Ah, it's not that bad. It's not everyone is trying to chase after them. (more people pass after them) I spoke too soon.

Phineas: We need to move quick! Hey, how about that automatic-driving car?

The car is very big. Everyone goes inside. Mr. Krabs finds the key and inserts it into the keyhole, activating it. Phineas places the tablet into the car's GPS, and the car drives off to locate them. Meanwhile, SpongeBob and Patrick continue running, being chased by numerous people, holding weapons. They narrowly avoid crossbows, glasses of hot sauce, and nunchucks. Suddenly, someone grabs them and pulls them underground, with everyone passing by, not noticing.

SpongeBob: Hey, who are you guys?

Man: We saw the billboard. We want to turn you to him for the reward.

Patrick: But we're innocent. We didn't anything wrong.

Man: I know. That's why we're going to give you a chance to prove yourselves. If you can pass this challenge, you can go free.

SpongeBob: And if we lose?

Man: You're being turned in... if you survive.

SpongeBob and Patrick: What?!

The challenge is revealed to be a giant blue light cycle challenge, with the entire area being very big, and there being light cycles. SpongeBob and Patrick are given blue helmets. They nervously put them on. Three more contestants approach them, with blue and black uniforms, also with helmets. The other team, a team of five, has orange light-cycles, and orange uniforms and helmets. There is a big audience watching. The man comes into the middle of the arena.

Man: Hello, everyone! My name is Ben Schwartz! I want to introduce you to our special event, The Light Cycle All-Star Race Battle! Now, the contestants will have light cycles and discs. Their goal is to use their discs to eliminate their opposing teams. We have nearby paramedics, if someone gets injured. Which team that eliminates their opponents first wins!

The crowd cheers. The contestants receive batons, color-coded on the team they are on.

SpongeBob: Patrick, I don't feel good about this.

Patrick: Let's just try to avoid getting hit.

Meanwhile, the group has somehow found the underground arena.

Phineas: We should be right here. I don't get it. The coordinates said they would be right here.

Shelby: Yeah, why did it bring us to a motorcycle arena?

Cyd: Shelby, it's an underground arena! I can't wait to see the contestants risk themselves for our amusement!

Sandy: I guess we can watch. Besides, how bad can it be?

Everyone takes their seats. They have brought snacks.

Lilly: (eating popcorn) This will be a lot of fun!

Miley: Yeah: besides, what kind of dumb suckers have they placed into this fight?

Ally: I don't feel good about this. Those are innocent people. Who would want to see those people get hurt for our entertainment?

Trish: This will be fun. Come on, people, bring some good action!

Austin: Relax, Ally. Besides, nobody gets injured on this course.

The alarm sounds and the environment turns into a dark thunderstorm landscape, minus the rain.

Ben: All right, everyone, now remember, the winning team will receive this mysterious box! (The Portal Box is shown)

Phineas: There it is!

The crowd cheers as the contestants as seen on the big screen.

Sandy: Hey, doesn't those contestants look like a sponge and star... (realizing in horror; nervously gulps) Oh, no...

Ben: The match starts... now!

The orange contestants run, and in slow motion, separate their batons, revealing light cycle, before everything returns to normal motion. They speed by the blue contestants, who dodge them.

Contestant: You got no chance, newbies. Their cycles are faster than ours. Use the levels. (the rest of the contestants activate their cycles)

Patrick: You ready, buddy?

SpongeBob: (has a determined look) As I'll ever be.

In slow motion, SpongeBob runs, leaps, activates his baton, and speeds towards the other contestants, as everything returns to normal motion. Patrick does the same thing, activating his cycle before racing towards the others. The contestants on both teams race towards each other.

SpongeBob: All right, here we go.

The contestants split off into separate directions. One blue contestant speeds, takes a speed enhancer, and curves around. He looks back for a moment, before noticing an orange contestant activated a wall of light. He screams as his cycle, exploding it and sending the man flying through the arena and into the arms of the paramedics.

Ben: Whoa! That guy got the help flying to him, or he flied to the help!

The group is seen watching.

Sandy: Um, guys...

Luke: Not now. One contestant just went flying through to the paramedics!

Sandy: That's what I'm worried about! Our friends are there!

Mr. Krabs: That's ridiculous. They wouldn't do something so life-threatening.

Back in the arena, another blue contestant is racing. He approaches another orange contestant. The blue contestant goes down, activates a speed enhancer, and goes back up. The orange contestant activates his disc and smashes the wheel, causing the other contestant to crash into the wall, with his cycle exploding around the arena. The contestant crashes into a snack stand. In the arena, one blue contestant notices a bump. He jumps over it, activates his light wall, and eliminates an orange contestant, who falls down. He is sucked down into a holding area for other injured contestants. The blue contestant goes through a roundabout speed area, where an orange contestant passes by. The blue goes up, the orange goes down. The blue contestant activates his disc and eliminates an orange contestant, who flies into the air before falling onto a well-placed mattress.

Ben: Whoa! Talk about insanity!

Sandy: This is dangerous! We have to get them out!

Phineas: I'm sure they would've called us now if they called us. Now, we need to find a way to get the box back.

Riley: Are you sure we should be watching this, Maya? This is painfully dangerous.

Maya: Relax; none of us are in there. We shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Back in the arena, the blue contestant continues racing. He goes down, where a blue contestant strikes him with a wall of light. He screams as he hits it, with him hitting the enhancer and flying into a hot-dog stand. SpongeBob and Patrick notice the madness.

SpongeBob: Patrick, we need to work together! It's the only way for us to win!

Patrick: Gotcha, what's your plan?

SpongeBob: (pointing) There! Just follow me!

The sponge and star race towards the orange contestant. The star races near him.

Patrick: Boo!

The contestant feels confused before SpongeBob activates a light wall. The contestant hits the wall and goes flying into a giant laundry basket.

Ben: Whoa! (laughs) Looks like the newbies have placed a trick-and-tag strategy!

Their faces are seen on the giant monitor. Isabella notices this and looks utterly horrified.

Isabella: Um, Phineas... you may want to look. (Phineas looks and see the monitor)

Phineas: Um, guys... (everyone else notices, and they look horrified) Ferb, what's the probability of them surviving?

Ferb: The track's dangerous conditions have a lot of problems for them. It's slim.

Jessie: Slim? The other contestants got seriously injured. Those two may not make it!

Lucas: Yeah, we have to pull them out!

Sandy: But how do we do that?

Alex: (gestures to Max) Um, Max, you want more snacks? (winks at him)

Max: Um, yes, I would like some popcorn. Um, Justin, can you come with us?

Justin: Um, yes. Harper, would you like anything? (winks at her)

Harper: Yes, some candy.

The four kids walk off far away enough for no one to notice them, then they crouch down.

Justin: These conditions are crazy! We need to get them out!

Alex: We don't know if they're in any complete danger. They just took out a contestant!

Max: They only did so through teamwork. Most of their team is taken out!

Back in the arena, SpongeBob and Patrick celebrate their success.

Patrick: Whoa! Did you see that?!

SpongeBob: I know! We literally just took out a player. There's another one! Let's move! (the two of them race towards him)

They activate their light walls, and he gets caught in the radius of it, eliminating him and sending him flying onto a dirt truck, but the explosion causes SpongeBob to fall off. His baton goes about a few feet far of him.

Patrick: (gasps) Buddy! Don't worry, pal. I got you.

He drives to pick up his baton, and tries to give it to his friend, but he notices the three remaining orange contestants racing towards them, with discs in hand.

Patrick: (throws the baton) SpongeBob! Catch!

SpongeBob catches it, reactivates his cycle, and he and Patrick drive off, being pursued by the other contestants. A blue contestant throws his disc at one of the wheels of the orange cycles, causing the cycle to crash and explode and the contestant to fall into a truck of tomato sauce, though not before throwing his disc at the blue contestant, causing him to fall and his bike to crash into the outer walls of the arena. The contestant goes into the holding area. The orange contestants throws their discs directly at the duo, who desperately try to avoid the flinging circles. The discs come back and the contestants race toward the two.

Patrick: Uh, buddy, we got company!

One of the contestants uses his disc to damage Patrick's front cycle wheel. His bike begins to spin out of control.

SpongeBob: Patrick! Grab on! (Patrick jumps onto SpongeBob's cycle while the sea star's cycle crashes into the wall; the best friends try to speed away from their dangerous competition)

Justin: Now do you see what's happening?

Alex: Yeah, you're right. Let's just use get them with our magic.

Justin: We can't just use magic in the middle of an arena!

Harper: Relax. They're too busy watching the crazy show happening.

Alex: See? We've got nothing to worry about. Now come on, we have to save them. (she takes out her wand and tries to wave it, but nothing happens) What happened?

Harper: I think that was the reason. (a sign is seen that says "magic turned off zone")

Alex: Aw, come on. Those places enact that policy to try and stop us.

Back in the arena, the sponge and star try desperately to avoid the disastrous arena-zone. They dodge the moving discs, light walls, and attempted ramming. They notice the Portal Box.

SpongeBob: There it is! The Box! We have to get it!

They try to race towards it, but a contestant activates a light wall and the second orange contestant does to try the same. SpongeBob and Patrick activate their discs and ram the cycles, and the impacts of all the discs causes a big explosion. Everyone is blown back, with SpongeBob and Patrick going unconscious. Everything blacks out for a moment. The light turns on, and the two friends notice that they're on a red carpet.

Patrick: Where are we?

The carpet takes them directly towards a giant screen. They notice their future selves from earlier fighting on that football field.

SpongeBob: That was us? We fought?

Patrick: Over what? The area looks like an abandoned amusement park.

SpongeBob: No, that's a football stadium. But that is such intense. We can't let this happen to us. It's such a tragedy that we fought like this. We need to head into the future to stop it!

Patrick: How do we do that?

SpongeBob: I know two great girls who are also best friends who can help us out.

The entire area starts to collapse.

SpongeBob: We need to move! Now!

They run as the ground starts to give way. They notice a giant space between the collapsing ground and a big multi-colored rift. They continue running, and at the edge, they jump, and they float directly towards the rift, returning them to reality. In the real world, the two friends continue flying, before landing on the ground. They crash into the ground, causing the Portal Box to fall. It hits the ground, causing beams to fly out in all directions. The audience assumes that to be a light show, until they notice a beam hit a load-bearing beam and it falls. The audience runs out, panicking. Even Ben.

Ben: I'm the host, so I'm not liable!

Phineas: This place is falling apart! We have to get out of here!

Sandy: We can't leave SpongeBob and Patrick behind!

Phineas: We'll go get them! (he and Ferb run into the arena, dodging debris, and nearly being hit by a giant chandelier; they reach the sponge and star) Don't worry, guys, we got you! (they try to carry them out; trying to avoid the more so falling debris)

The box hits them, causing them to flying directly towards the group, with the box being launched as a magnet next to them. As soon as they land on the ground, the box releases a beam that zaps everyone, and then fires a double beam that hits Cyd and Shelby.

Shelby: What's happening?!

Cyd: I don't know! But for some reason, our hands are trying to touch!

The girls' hands touch, and they, alongside everyone else warp away from the area. They soon notice themselves on top of a moving platform, with there being a large area of rifts and portals everywhere. The area is purple, with there being a lot of floating creatures.

Karen: Where did we land up?

SpongeBob: I think it's... the heart. The heart of the multiverse.

Sandy: A marvelous scenery that has truths about what our worlds hold bigger than anything has ever seen. We've dreamed of something bigger than anyone has ever imagined before, and now, the greatest belief is real.

The group notices a yellow portal open, and a mysterious string of light appears, appearing to be hooked to the portal.

Squidward: Hey, it's look friendly. (suddenly, the string ropes around him and grabs him) Not friendly! Not friendly! (he screams as he dissolves into light before it goes into the portal)

More strings appear from the portal. One of them grabs Mr. Krabs.

Mr. Krabs: Help! Somebody, help me! (screams as he dissolves into light

A giant wall is erected in the group, as more string ropes appear. Buford and Baljeet are grabbed, and they also dissolve into light. Plankton and Karen also dissolve into light after being grabbed by the rope. Barry and Naldo are also grabbed by the rope and they also dissolve into light. All the light heads directly into the portal.

Patrick: Where is it taking them?

SpongeBob: I don't know! (the platform starts to tilt, and restraints are placed on everyone's hands and feet)

Isabella: Um, are these metal restraints?

The platform gets attached to a giant spring. It starts to move back and towards a multi-colored portal.

Riley: Um, we're about to head towards that hole with many colors!

The platform is about to let go.

Sandy: Everyone, hold on!

The spring sends the platform directly towards the portal. Everyone screams as they fly through the portal. The restraints start to crack apart. Everyone is soon floating as they notice another portal opens. They fly through it and soon land on some grass.

Harper: Um, where did we land?

Shelby: Um, has the world been like this?

Everyone notices an area where they have landed in a futuristic area.

Riley: Wait. Those buildings. I know where we have landed. New York City.

Maya: We have... landed back home?

Sandy: Not your time. Look at them.

The people are revealed to be future SpongeBob and Patrick.

Future SpongeBob: Who are you?

Present SpongeBob: (coughing) I'm... your past self. Me... and Patrick... and these kids... we came to stop what can tear us apart in the future. We came... (is struck by yellow lightning and is promptly knocked out)

Present Patrick: SpongeBob!

[The man is revealed to be another version of SpongeBob, except more darker in skin color. He is wearing an armored suit in purple and black. His hand is smoking from the lighting blast. A squirrel, also in a purple-black spacesuit appears.]

Anti-Sandy: He had this coming. He was willing to destroy everything we built.

Sandy: Who... is... that?

SpongeBob #3: (speaking in dark voice) You can call me... Anti-SB. The anti-SpongeBob.

[Everyone gasps in horror as drones surround them all.]

Anti-SB: (holding a laser pistol) Everyone, hands in the air! Now!

[Everyone does so, as the unconscious SpongeBob's hands suddenly twitch. Then the screen freezes.]

Present SpongeBob: (voiceover) And that's how we got to where we are now. A crazy version of me is trying to hunt us down. Now what happens next? Just watch and you'll see.

And that's our chapter! We got two big surprises in this chapter! The first one was the light-cycle battle, a homage towards TRON: Legacy, as it's one of my favorite movies! The second was that we got to where we started from the beginning to the story! This chapter was a fun one to write! The story will become more tense as it goes on! See you next time!
