Chapter 13: Beauty of the Lake
Route 6
The light sounds of the water moving slowly echoed through a quiet wooded area. Mist surrounded a large lake that the area resided in. As the mist slowly moved around, a mysterious Pokémon rose up from the water's depths, made its eyes glow light blue, and let out a beautiful cry as it surrounded itself with a mysterious energy that it let spread over the lake for a moment. After that, it dived back down to the bottom of the lake; hiding itself away from anyone's sight. After it went back down, a group of female Trainers walked through the mist and looked out to the lake. "This is it. Scale Lake." said the female leader of the group. "Scale Lake? What's so special about it?" her friend replied. "This lake is well known for scale collecting. You can find two of the most popular scales in this lake: the Dragon Scale and the Prism Scale. Legends say that there is also Pokémon who lives in the depths of this lake to protect the scales and the Pokémon who live in the lake who produce these scales." the leader replied.
"Really? That's sounds amazing." another Trainer replied. "Mhm." the leader replied. "Do you know the Pokémon that lives in this lake?" another Trainer replied. "Yes. The Pokémon is called: Milotic. Milotic is widely known around the world as the most beautiful Pokémon in the world. But this Milotic that resides in this lake is a special kind of Milotic." the leader replied. "Huh? A special kind?" another Trainer replied. "Yep. This special Milotic only appears out of the water to those who it deems worthy to collect the scales." the leader replied. "Whoa... have you seen it before?" another Trainer replied. "No... I have not." the leader replied. "Aw... that's too bad. Maybe Milotic doesn't see you as worthy as you think you are?" another Trainer replied.
"Yeah. But... I just don't get it. I've been researching this lake for the past five years and tried to prove myself worthy to Milotic. No matter how many times I tried, it never came up from the lake. Was there something that I did wrong? Why would it just hide and not show its face?" the leader replied. "Because normal people like you and me could be seen as a threat to it. It probably thinks we're the kind of people to poison the lake and burn the area down. I know that it will be hard for you ti hear and understand this... but you are not the one Milotic wants to see. Now come on, the Boss is waiting for us." another Trainer replied. The leader nodded her head in agreement, and then she and her group began to walk away from the lake. "I know. But to whoever is worthy of its presence... I just hope that the rumors are true." she said. The leader turned back to the lake one last time, sighed, turned back to her group, and then walked away with her friends. As she walked away, two spirits appeared above the lake and watched her leave. "...No... you're not the one that we are waiting for..." said one spirit.
The spirits disappeared from sight, and then let their aura surround the lake; protecting it from any intruders. As their aura surrounded the lake, the Milotic that Trainer had talked about lifted its head up from the water again, and looked around the area silently. It then slowly dived back down to the depths of the lake, swam to its nest, wrapped itself around its Eggs, and then began to fall asleep.
Near Scale Lake
"Vul! Vul-pix!" said Vulpix as she used Energy Ball up in the air. "Pi-ka! Pika-chu!" Zuzu's Pikachu replied as she used Thunderbolt on the Energy Ball; making it explode like a firework. "Whoa..." most of us replied in awe. "Great work, you two! Now let's see how we can end it with a big bang! Feebas! Use Whirlpool!" Zuzu replied. "Bas! Fee-bas!" Feebas replied as it used Whirlpool as it swam around in a big sized pond and created the Whirlpool above its head. "Now, Pikachu! Use Thunderbolt on the Whirlpool!" Zuzu replied. "Pika! Pika-chu!" Pikachu replied as she jumped up and used Thunderbolt on the Whirlpool; making strong electric lines on it for her to jump on. "Pi-ka! Pi-Pi-Pi-Pi-Pi!" she said as she ran towards the Whirlpool and began to jump on the electric lines she made. "Now, Vulpix! Combine Energy Ball and Fire Spin and launch it up to the top of the Whirlpool!" Zuzu replied. "Vul! Vulpix! Vul-pix!" Vulpix replied as she used Fire Spin, launched it sideways to the top of the Whirlpool. "Vul-pix!" she said as she used Energy Ball and launched multiple ones into the Fire Spin.
Once Pikachu saw the Fire Spin and Energy Ball together, she smirked at it and jumped out of the Whirlpool. "Pikachu! Use Thunderbolt to trap the Fire Spin!" said Zuzu. "Pika! Pika-chu!" she replied as she used Thunderbolt to trap the Fire Spin in place. As the attack was caught, the Energy Balls then began to absorb the heat and flames of Fire Spin. Once it was fully absorbed and touched the Thunderbolt, they exploded into multiple fireworks in the sky. "Whoa!" said most of us in awe. Pikachu safely made it back down to the ground, watched Feebas drop the Whirlpool, and they looked at the fireworks in awe; smiling at the creation they and Vulpix made together. "Zuzu! That was amazing!" said Celina happily. "Thank you, Celina." Zuzu replied happily. "That was beautiful, Zuzu. The combination that you did with their elements was incredible." Zach replied. "Yeah! We've never seen anyone do something like that before. It was flawless!" Pat replied. "Aww~, thank you guys." Zuzu replied with a smile. "You're welcome." Pat replied happily.
She gave the three Trainers side hugs, and then hugged her team happily as they came upto her and jumped into her arms. "Zuzu! You gotta teach me how to do that! Please!" said Sora. "Sure! I'll teach it to you. Does after the Contest sound good to you?" Zuzu replied. "Yeah! Sounds good to me." Sora replied happily. She smiled at him happily, and then turned to me; seeing me smile at her as I sat on the grass. "So, Tay? What did you think?" she asked me. "I thought that was incredible. You and your team are looking like you're more in sync than ever." I replied. "Really?" she replied. I nodded my head yes to her response; making her happy. "Cle-fairy!" said my Clefairy happily. We turned to her, saw her gently jump up in the air, do a little dance, land on the ground, and then use Dazzling Gleam on herself, jump up again, spin, and made the area around her shine like stars as she released the attack.
"Whoa..." said Pat, Sora, Celina, and Zach in awe. "I guess this one is a fan of Contests? She looks like that she has the energy to perform like that in front of a crowd." Declan replied. "Yeah... she sure does." Celina replied. Clefairy ended her performance, and then skipped over to me and Zuzu. "Clefairy~" she said happily. "Hehe. You're a cute little dancer, Clefairy." Zuzu replied happily. "Clefairy~" she replied happily. "You wanna perform in Contests just like her and her team, Clefairy?" I replied. "Fairy!" she replied happily. I smiled at her happily, and gave her a gentle pat on her head; making her happy. After I stopped petting her, we heard something come through the bushes. I quickly turned to my left, stood up, and prepared myself for what was coming towards us. "Huh? What's going on?" said Pat. "Something's coming from over there." I replied. After I said that, we felt a cold breeze pass by in front of us. We quickly huddled around each other to stay warm, and then we all began to hear a voice through the breeze.
"Chosen One... come to the Lake. There is a treasure awaiting for you and your friends. Come to Scale Lake... and our friend will guide you to the treasure." it said. After that, the cold breeze disappeared from us, and went back to a warm breeze. We separated from the huddle and stared at each other nervously. "Uh... you guys heard that voice... right..?" said Sora nervously. "Mhm." Zuzu replied nervously. "But... where did it come from? And what is this Scale Lake that it spoke of?" Declan replied. "I... I don't know..? But that voice did sound pretty scary..." Pat replied nervously. "Wait... that voice did say Chosen One, right? Maybe that voice was reaching out to..." Celina replied as everyone turned to me. "...What?" I said curiously. "Tay. That voice was calling out to you." she replied. "Yeah... and it mentioned you guys too. It wants you guys to follow me to this Scale Lake it spoke of." I replied. "Scale Lake? Hold on... let me look it up for a second." Zuzu replied. She took out her phone, searched for Scale Lake, and then found a website about it.
"Found it!" she said. "What does it say?" Celina replied as she and I looked at the website over her shoulders. "It says that it is a lake on a sacred land that is on this Route. It is widely know for a Pokémon that lives in the lake that keeps many kinds of scales in the water; like the Dragon Scale and Prism Scale. And check it out. This giant rock has the same Mark as Tay has on her hand." she replied. "A lake on sacred land... that means the lake must be a Guardian location..." Zach replied. "And that voice was a former Guardian." Sora replied. We nodded our heads in agreement. "Hold on? Are you all sure about this?" Declan asked us. "We're sure. We've dealt with this twice now." Zach replied. "You have? If that website shows it to be true... then how do you know if it is a Guardian location?" he replied. "Tay..? Do you want to show him how we know?" Zuzu replied. I nodded my head yes to her question.
I took a few steps forward, looked out to the woods in front of me, took off my glove, looked down at my Mark, and saw it begin to glow. I sighed, closed my eyes, opened them again, and made them glow green. As they glew, I then saw the path to Scale Lake for the first time. I reached my right hand, and let my Mark's energy show an aura to the lake. "Whoa..." said the group. After that, my powers stopped what I was doing, and I returned to normal. "See?" said Zuzu. "Yeah... I saw..." Declan replied in a soft, shocked tone. "Zuzu? Does the website say what the Pokémon is that lies in the lake?" I replied as I turned back to the group and walked over to them while putting my glove back on. "It's called Milotic." a voice replied. We jumped in shock, turned around, and saw a woman walk over to us. "You kids are planning to head over to Scale Lake, aren't you?" she asked us.
"Uh... yeah. We just heard about it a couple minutes ago." Pat replied. "Really?" the woman replied. "Yes ma'am." Pat replied. "I see. You kids must be new around here. How did you find out about the lake?" she replied. "We felt a cold breeze from over there, and looked it up on our phones." Celina replied. "Okay. And when you found out about this lake, did you know of the Pokémon that resides in it?" she replied. We shook our heads no to her question. "It's called Milotic. It is the evolved form of Feebas, and it is widely known to be the most beautiful Pokémon in the entire world. Rumors say that this lake has a Milotic the resides deep in the waters depths of the lake, and is waiting for someone it deems worthy to collect the scales that are in the water." she replied. "Whoa... really?" Sora replied. The woman nodded her head yes to his response; making him happy.
"Hold on... how worthy are you talking about?" I asked as I walked up and motioned the group to stay quiet. "It can sense your presence. If your presence feels familiar to it, then it will swim upto the surface, and greet you." she replied. "Okay... has this Milotic seen you before?" I replied as I crossed my arms and raised my left eyebrow curiously. "No... it has not. I've been trying to see it for myself for years, but it seems that I am not the one it is looking for." she replied. "Huh... interesting. Does it think you are a threat to its home?" I replied. "I'm not sure?" she replied. I stayed silent, turned to her group as they looked at us, stared at them, and then looked back at her; seeing a red R hiding in her jacket. "Anyways... me and my friends should get going. Maybe we'll be worthy if we find Feebas of our own in order to prove to Milotic that we are worthy. And hey... if it doesn't appear for you... don't get as mad and upset as me. I've been going to that lake for a couple years, and it still never showed up for me. If you are lucky to see it, please let the world know." she replied. After that, she walked away from us, went to her group, and began walking away from us.
"Huh..? That was strange?" said Zuzu. "Yeah... it was." Celina replied. "Do you think she heard some of our conversation?" Zuzu replied. "Probably. Unless one of us was being loud." Celina replied as she turned to Pat and Sora. "Hey! Don't look at us! We weren't being loud at all!" Pat replied. "It's true. But still... we have to keep our guard up just in case." Zach replied. "And how are we supposed to do that?" Sora replied. "We stay here, watch them fully leave, and then search for anything that they might use to track us." he replied. "Yeah. Good call, Zach." Celina replied. He nodded his head in thanks to her. "But what if they do come back, and try to force us to summon Milotic?" Pat replied. "They won't." I replied. "Huh? How come?" he replied. I turned to Aurasoul as he looked at me, nodded his head, and then revealed something in his paw. "What the? Where did that bag come from?" Zuzu replied. "When I sense the trail to the lake, I also sensed vocal, sound, and heat sensors and trackers. While we were talking with them, Aurasoul went all over the area, found every single device they set up in the area, and destroyed them." I replied.
Aurasoul nodded his head to my words, made a sound, and dropped the bag in front of us. "Whoa..." said most of the group. "Damn... you really played 3-D chess with that woman, didn't you?" Celina asked me. "4-D chess actually. Plus, I knew that she was upto something by the tone of her voice when she spoke to us." I replied. "So what do we do now with all this stuff?" Pat replied. "Hand it over to the police." Declan replied. "That won't be necessary." I replied. "What..? Tay..? What did you do?" Zach replied. "Me? Oh... I did nothing. But them... let's just say that they'll walk into a trap in 3, 2, 1..." I replied. After I said that, we heard a shriek of female voices get caught in something nearby. "Remember that weird thing that we saw when we walked to here?" I said. "Yeah..?" he replied curiously. "It was a cop trap. They layed it out there in case any Team Rocket Grunts that are around here get caught." I replied. "What!?" they replied in shock. "Mhm. I saw them lay down a few of them after we left the tunnel." I replied.
"Wow..." said Pat. "So that's why you motioned for us to stay quiet when you talked to her. You were studying her body and vocal language to see if she was suspicious?" Sora replied. I nodded my head yes to his question. After that, we picked up the bag, and went over to the area; seeing cops surround the trap around a tree; seeing the group of women caught in a giant net. "Look, sir! They have the red R on their shirts!" said one cop. "No! Please! Don't arrest us!" the leader replied. "Sorry, ladies. But with those red R's on your shirts... you just proved to us that you are indeed members of Team Rocket. Now... what are Grunts like you doing out here?" the chief replied. Before they could answer, I threw the bag of evidence towards them, and they all saw the sensors, papers, PokéBalls, and pictures of Scale Lake on them fall out of the bag. The cops studied the evidence, took them out of the net, and put them in handcuffs. "What!? You idiots!? Who left all of this behind at the lake!?" said the leader.
"Don't look at me. You told me to leave it all there after putting up all the sensors. Some punk must've found them while you were talking to those kids before we got caught in this mess." her teammate replied. "So... the reports from Vermilion City were true. You ladies were trespassing on sacred land in order to catch the Pokémon that lives in the lake. Just for that and may other crimes, you ladies are under arrest for trespassing on scared land and plotted attempt of kidnapping." the chief replied. We watched it all from the trees in silence, and saw them get taken away by the cops. After they were far from our sight, we walked out of the area, and went back to the entrance to the lake. "So they were Team Rocket Grunts after all?" said Pat. "Yep. No wonder why Tay sensed something was up with that lady." Sora replied. The group nodded their heads in agreement to his response. We stood at the entrance towards the lake, and then began to walk down the path together.
Scale Lake
After a few minutes of walking, we arrived at the lake for the first time. "Whoa..." we said. "It's beautiful..." Zuzu replied. We stared at the lake in silence for a moment, and then set up a small camp for now. As we set up the camp, I used my power to make an invisible shield around the area, and kicked out the people that were near the area to make sure no one scares Milotic. "So... how do we know when it will show up? Does it sense Tay's aura or anything?" Pat asked us. "That won't be necessary." replied a voice. We turned to the lake, and saw two spirits form on the edge of the lake. A moment later, they transformed into two young women; one with brown hair and light blue eyes, and the other with blonde hair and rose pink eyes. "Whoa! There's two of them!" said Pat. "Wow! That's amazing!" Sora replied. The two Guardians blinked their eyes, and then turned to me. "Do not worry, child. We mean no harm." said the first Guardian. I blinked my eyes in shock for a moment, and then slowly walked upto them. I then knelt down onto my right knee, and bowed my head to them.
"You may rise." said the second Guardian. I lifted up my head, and then stood up. "What is your name?" she asked me. "I'm Taylor. I am the reincarnation of Eve. And you two are?" I replied. "I am Akemi. And this is my sister, Astrid. We are known as the Guardians of Beauty." Akemi replied. "Guardians of Beauty, eh? That sounds... lovely." I replied. "It sure does. Our titles were given to us by our mother." Astrid replied. "By your mother? Was she a Guardian that had this title before you two?" I replied. "Yes. She and our father created this lake here many centuries ago after Caspian brought clean and fresh water to the Kanto region." Akemi replied. "What!? You two know Caspian?" Zuzu replied. "Indeed. He and Luna were very good friends with our parents. They all used to travel around with the other Guardians of the region together and protect it with all the heart and soul." Astrid replied. "That's amazing." Zuzu replied happily. They smiled at her warmly, and then turned to me. I gently took off my glove and showed them my glowing Mark. Once they saw it, they then showed their right hands to me and revealed the same Mark as well.
"Whoa... they have the Marks on their right hand..." said Celina. "Just like Luna..." Zuzu replied. "Luna? You all met her?" Astrid replied. "Most of us did. We saw her after we defended the giant Moon Stone at Mt. Moon." Zach replied. "I see. And after you stopped whatever threatened the Moon Stone's safety, she appeared to you all and told you of locations like this?" Akemi replied. "Yes ma'am." Zach replied. They nodded their heads in understanding and then took my hand into theirs. "Taylor? Before you came here... did you notice anything that was suspicious to you and your friends after you heard us?" Akemi asked me. "I did. This woman and her friends walked out of the area, saw us, told us about the lake, and tried to get information out of us about Milotic. They also left many kinds of devices and papers about the area on how to capture it for their leader's personal goals." I replied. Their eyes widened in shock to my response, and then turned to the lake. "So that's why she has been hesitant about people coming here..." she said.
"Milotic? Was it that afraid of people for quite sometime?" I replied. "Yes. Those women you just spoke of... their leader had been trying to catch Milotic here for quite sometime, but she was too powerful for her. The Pokémon that she used against her got her into fierce battles for quite sometime, and even after she won... she would return to her cave, and stay there for days on end; not wanting to come out." Astrid replied. "Because it reminded her of a dark event? It would make sense. Even though she won the fight, she was afraid that she would lose her home in the future. So she chose to stay underwater all this time, and only appear out of the water when she sensed that there was no danger around the area." I replied. They nodded their heads yes to my response. "Is there anything that we can do to help?" Zuzu asked. "Yeah. We all would like to help Milotic and what's causing her to stay in her cave." Celina replied. The boys nodded their heads yes to her words; surprising the two Guardians. "You... you all really want to help us?" Astrid asked us.
"Of course. It's part of our nature. When we see someone or something injured or depressed, we do anything we can to help them get back to better health and make sure that they're happy." Zuzu replied as she put her hand to her heart. "Yeah. It's one of the greatest parts of being a Trainer. We would do anything in the world to make sure that any wild Pokémon who is hurt or mistreated gets the help that they need and keep them safe from anyone who harms them." Zach replied. "He's right. Not only is what he said that helping others is the best part of being a Trainer, but it is also the best thing as a human being. It is our job as human beings to help others in need when they need it most." Pat replied. We nodded our heads in agreement to their words, and looked at Akemi and Astrid as they looked at us. They then turned to each silently for a moment, warmly smiled, nodded their heads, and then turned back to us.
"You all are incredible human beings. You fully understand the message that our people spread all over the world for humans and Pokémon to fully understand each other, help each other, and live side-by-side together. You all are a special kind of human being." said Astrid. "You all are human beings with pure, devoted, and kind hearts." Akemi replied. We all smiled warmly at them, and then watched them turn to the lake. They then turned back to us, and motioned me to walk over to them. My eyes lightly widened in shock to what they were doing, and I turned to my group; wondering if they are okay of what was going on right now. "Go on, Tay. We're behind you." said Zuzu as she put her hand on my shoulder. "Pikachu." her Pikachu replied. "Vul." Vulpix replied. I blinked my eyes, sighed, nodded my head to her, turned to the Guardians, and walked over to them; standing in the middle between them. Zuzu and the group walked up behind us a moment later, and looked out to the lake; wondering what are we trying to do.
"So? How do we travel to her cave?" I asked. "We travel there by making the symbol of our people glow on the rock straight ahead of us. Once we make it glow, she should sense our Aura from above, and make a pathway for us to come down through the water and lead us to her." Akemi replied as she, Astrid, and I looked straight ahead to the rock; seeing our Mark carved onto it. "Just concentrate your energy to the Mark and Milotic will try to connect with you." Astrid replied. I nodded my head in understanding, closed my eyes, took a deep breath, reached my right hand to the rock, and opened my eyes as they and my Mark glew green. Akemi and Astrid did the same thing, and made their eyes and Marks glow light blue and pink at the same time. As we did this, our energies went towards the rock ahead of us, surrounded it with our Aura's, and then the symbol began to glow.
"Incredible... who knew that the Guardians have this much power to do something like this..." said Declan. "Yeah. It's because they are a special kind of human beings. They are human beings that have been entrusted with special abilities that connect them more with world and Pokémon around them. And then teach people like us on how to bond with the Pokémon and coexist with them. That's the kind of people they truly are. People who understand Pokémon's feelings more than we do. And they will do anything to spread their message, and keep the world safe from the ones who want to destroy it for themselves." Zuzu replied. The group nodded their heads in agreement to her response, and then saw the water begin to glow. "Whoa!" said Sora. "Check it out... the water... it's glowing!" Pat replied. "Yeah. I think this means that they just connected with Milotic." Celina replied.
As I stared at the rock, I began to hear a cry from deep down the waters of the lake. "It's her. She's calling out to you." said Akemi. "Milotic... she's in there. In her cave..." I replied. She nodded her head in agreement, and then turned to her sister. "Now. Open your heart to her. Show her that you want to come down and help her and her home." Astrid replied. I nodded my head, and let my power connect with Milotic once more. She let out a soft, warm cry as she spiritually stared at me from the depths of her cave. We stared at each other silently for a moment as we let our hearts communicate with each other, and then a moment later; her eyes began to glow light blue, and she used our connection to make us a pathway to her cave. As she did this, the entire lake glew brightly and the water began to move around, open up, and make a path for us to go down.
"Whoa... she did it... Milotic's heart connected with Tay's heart..." said Zach. "Indeed. She has completely recognized Eve's Aura that flows through her. Now with the access to her cave has been opened, we can travel down the water's depths and go inside the cave." Akemi replied. "That's amazing. But... how do we go in there with out getting wet?" Pat replied. Astrid then made a pink energy shield around us, gently lifted us in the air, and we slowly dived down into the water. As we went down, the pathway above us quickly closed, and thick fog began to cover the surface and around the lake; making sure no one sees us. As we slowly made our way down, we saw many kinds of Water-type Pokémon that swam in the lake; staring at us curiously and cautiously. "Man... the Guardians are sure very protective of their homes and the Pokémon that live in them." said Sora. "Mhm. These homes they made mean so much to them. They mean more than what we could never understand." Zach replied.
"And that's why they are sacred lands to everyone else in the world. Only Guardians can truly understand the certain kinds of lands they come across. Lands full of stories and history that no one has ever told before." Zuzu replied. "And when their time on this world is finished, they rely on their descendants to find these lands and tell their stories, and let the world know the true history of their legacies, and learn how to become the Guardians they are destined to be." Declan replied. The group nodded their heads to the responses, and then looked at me, Akemi, and Astrid as we observed the area, and saw the Water-type Pokémon that live here. As I watched them look at us, I saw a school of small Pokémon swim upto us and stared at us curiously. "What is that?" said Sora. "They're Horsea." Celina replied. "Horsea?" Sora replied curiously. "Aww! They're so cute~" Zuzu replied. She took out her phone and activated her PokéDex.
"Horsea, the Dragon Pokémon. A Water type. If Horsea senses danger, it will reflexively spray a dense black ink from its mouth and try to escape. This Pokémon swims by cleverly flapping the fin on its back." said Zuzu's PokéDex. "Hor-sea!" the lead Horsea replied as it swam close to us. "Aww. They're following us." Pat replied. "Looks like they're friends of Milotic." Zach replied. "Yeah." Pat replied with a nod of his head. We swam down lower to the bottom for a moment, and then we saw a glimmer of light at the bottom in front of a cave. "This must be it." I said. "It is. That is Milotic's cave." Astrid replied. We followed the light, and went inside the cave for the first time.
Scale Lake- Milotic's Cave
We rose upto the water's surface of the cave, moved to the edge, jumped out of the shield, and began looking around ourselves of the sight of the cave. "Wow... it's beautiful..." said Zuzu. "Yeah... a cave like this is something that would only see in ocean fairytales and mermaid movies..." Celina replied. "True... but..." Zuzu replied. "But what?" Celina replied curiously. "But how does a cave like this exist?" Zuzu replied. "You can thank our parents for this. They made this entire for us and Milotic when we were children. We were obsessed with the ocean when we little, and they used their powers of land and water to create the lake and cave itself to play in and hide from anyone who wanted to kidnap us. They even found kinds of Scales to help certain Pokémon evolve. They brought them here as treasure for us, and to certain people that we would find worthy to give to." Akemi replied. "Really? That's amazing. Your parents had the ability to manipulate nature and created this sacred land for the two of you and Milotic to live and protect." Zuzu replied. "They sure did." Astrid replied.
"So? How did you two meet Milotic?" Zach replied as we began to walk. "We met her on the beach when she was just a Feebas. She was a frail and timid little thing when we took her in to our family. One day, we found a blue and pink Scale on the shoreline, let her touch it, and she evolved into Milotic. After her evolution, she became a lot more stronger, brave, and confident with her strength and beauty." Akemi replied. "Ever since then, she had been a very special member of our family... until one fateful day." Astrid replied. "What happened?" Declan replied. "Our home was caught in the crossfire of a war that we never knew about. We tried our best to protect it with all of our strength... but we didn't survive." Akemi replied. Our eyes widened in shock to what she had said, and felt our hearts break for them. "So you two and your parents were innocent war victims that were caught in the crossfire?" Zach asked.
"No... just me and her. Our parents survived the invasion, and unleashed their blinding rage on both armies; taking them down in revenge for us. When their destructive rampage was near its end, Milotic rose up from the water and used her special ability to calm their hearts and turn them back to normal." Astrid replied. "After the battle ended, they tried to revive us; but Arceus stopped them and told them not to. They were upset and fell into depression for quite sometime. Even though we stayed here in spirit, we knew that with us physically gone... our family had fallen apart. Our parents left the area to Milotic to protect on her own, and left the land on their own accord; upsetting her. Ever since that day, she has lived on her own here in the cave of the lake, and has kept the area safe for a very long time; keeping herself away from human sight." Akemi replied. My eyes widened in shock to what they said of what their parents did in revenge for them; realizing that they went into their Awakened Forms and massacred both armies that trespassed the area.
It then made me think back to when I turned to my Awakened Form twice and went on a vengeful spree and attacked anyone who hurt the ones I care for. Astrid and Akemi turned to me, noticed my reaction, stopped in their tracks, and made us stop; staring at them. "You must know what that feels like, right Taylor? That feeling of pure rage and anger, fueling up your body, lose control of yourself mentally, and attack your foes by instinct; while not noticing the ones you hurt around you." Akemi asked me; shocking everyone. "I... I do..." I replied. The two Guardian's eyes widened in shock to my response; surprised to hear my answer. "I've only turned into that form twice. Once to stop a power-hungry man, and then against a group of bullies that hurt my friends when they tried to protect me when I was seriously hurt. But during the second time I was in that form... their voices broke through to me when I nearly injured them. They stopped me and saved me from myself." I said.
They looked at my group surprised of what I said, and they nodded their heads yes to my response. "It's true. We saved her from herself when she was stopping our bullies." Zuzu replied. "And your voices broke through to her when she tried to attack you?" Astrid replied. "Mhm. After we were saved from a Hyper Beam from her, we saw tears falling on her face. It made us see that we broke through to her and got her to come back to her senses." Zuzu replied. "And then another Guardian used his Pokémon to trap her and knock her out with Boomburst to make sure that form was completely stopped." Celina replied. "What? Another Guardian was there and stopped her?" Astrid replied. We nodded our heads yes to her question. "So... there is another one that lives... just like her..." Akemi replied. "Indeed. He must be from Adam's bloodline." Astrid replied. "Adam? Who is he?" Pat replied. "He was one of the Original Two Guardians. He worked alongside a woman named Eve; whose bloodline we and Taylor come from. They were the first ever Guardians chosen by Arceus, the Mythical Pokémon that created this world and universe." Astrid replied.
"Really?" Declan replied. "Yes. Arceus summoned Adam and Eve to the Temple of Hisui many millennia ago, and blessed them with the powers that you have seen her and us use to connect with the world, people, and Pokémon that live here." Akemi replied. "Hisui? What kind of name is Hisui?" Sora replied. "It used to be the name of the Sinnoh region in the ancient past." I replied. "It was?" he replied. I nodded my head yes to his question. "Wow... I guess I have a lot of history to learn after this." he said. I lightly laughed happily to his response, and gave him a pat on his shoulder. "You will learn more in due time, my friend." I told him. He smiled and nodded his head to me; making me smile. After that, we continued our walk through the cave. A few moments of silence had passed, and we finally made it to the deepest part of the cave. "Whoa... check out the rocks. They're glowing." said Zuzu. "Vul-pix." Vulpix replied in awe. "Yeah. In multiple colors too. This is amazing." Celina replied. "Ran..." her Nidoran replied in awe.
"Huh? Hey, guys... look over there. Over there. On the middle of the water. Is that..." Pat replied as we all looked to what he's looking at. "Milotic." I replied. "Whoa... so that's what a Milotic looks like... it's beautiful..." Sora replied. "Yeah... it sure is..." Zach replied. We stared at Milotic as she slept in a nest that she was in on the middle of the water. As we watched her, we saw some Pokémon appear from the water and stare at us curiously. "Horsea, Seadra, Kingdra." said Declan. "Goldeen, Seaking." Sora replied. "Magikarp, Gyarados." Celina replied. "And Feebas too." Zuzu replied. "What are they doing here?" Sora replied. "They live here." Astrid replied. "And I don't think they like company..." Zach replied. We watched the Pokémon in the water stare at us silently, and then saw the three glowing eyes looking at them. They then slowly moved to different parts of the water, and watched us cautiously.
Akemi and Astrid then used their powers to mentally call Milotic for a moment, and then we watched her begin to wake up. Milotic opened up her eyes, looked around curiously, and then saw us across the water; staring at her. She blinked her eyes, sensed my presence in front of her, and then let out a calm cry to me; allowing me to come forward to her. "Go on. She's waiting for you." said Akemi. I turned to her and Astrid, nodded my head in understanding, and then began walking over to Milotic's nest. As I walked the edge, I took one step on the water and saw that my shoes were not getting wet. I took another step, tested my balance on the water, and then continued my walk to her. "What... the... hell..." said Pat surprised. "She can walk on water!?" Sora replied. "Yeah... she can..." Zach replied. "I don't know how her powers do it... but I have a feeling it will come handy in the future if we are stranded in the middle of the ocean." Zuzu replied.
The group nodded their heads in agreement to her response, and then watched me stand right in front of Milotic's nest. She lowered herself down top my eye level, and stared at me in the eyes silently for a moment. She then made her eyes glow light blue as she saw my glowing green eyes. As we stared at each other, Zuzu took out her phone and activated her PokéDex. "Milotic, the Tender Pokémon. A Water type, and the evolved form of Feebas. Milotic live at the bottom of large lakes. When this Pokémon's body glows a vivid pink, it releases a pulsing wave of energy that brings soothing calm to troubled hearts." said Zuzu's PokéDex. "Wow... that's amazing..." Zuzu replied. She blinked her eyes, looked back at me, and then saw Milotic and I rest our heads together. As we did this, our energies fully connected, and she made a calming wave of energy spread around the room; making everyone happy. Her Feebas watched from the water and was admired of Milotic's calmness and beauty; making it smile in awe.
A moment later, Milotic let me walk into her nest, and then I saw something wrapped around her tail. "Milotic? Are these your Eggs?" I asked her. She nodded her head yes and made a calm sound to me. "I see. They look healthy." I replied. She nodded her head to my response. "Is this your first time that you're going to be a Mom?" I replied. She shook her head no to my question, and then showed me the Feebas that are now surrounding us around the nest. "Oh... so you've had some experience. Alright. I must say... your kids are beautiful." I replied. She smiled happily and made a happy sound to me. We looked at the Feebas again, and I saw Zuzu's Feebas swim upto me. I leaned over the nest and began to play with it as it reached upto my hand. As I played with it, Milotic began to recognize something with Feebas. "Huh? What's going on with Milotic?" said Zach. "I don't know... but something tells me that she recognizes Zuzu's Feebas for some reason." Declan replied.
"Huh!?" the group replied surprised. "No way... did Zuzu's Feebas used to live here..?" Celina replied. Zuzu was in complete shock of this, blinked her eyes, and then saw her Feebas jump around happily in the water and nuzzle Milotic. I smiled happily at this moment, and then looked at Zuzu as she and the group stared at us. "Hey! You guys have got to see this!" I said. "Taylor? What is going on over there?" Akemi replied. "Come over here and I'll tell you everything." I replied. They were all confused for a moment, and then they all come over to the nest. As they sat down beside me, we saw tears falling from both Milotic and Feebas's eyes. "Bas! Fee-bas!" said Feebas. Milotic made a happy sound and continued nuzzling Feebas. "Milotic? Is this Feebas one of your children?" Astrid asked. Milotic turned to her, smiled, and nodded her head yes to us; shocking us. "No way... Zuzu's Feebas is Milotic's kid..." said Pat. Zuzu stayed silent for a moment, and then smiled at her Pokémon with tears in her eyes.
"Bas? Bas-Bas. Feebas?" said Feebas as it saw her crying. "Huh? Oh, no need to worry, Feebas. I'm okay. I'm just... very shocked and happy to see you reunite with your family. It must mean a lot for you to see them again." she replied. "Bas-Bas." Feebas replied. It then jumped out of the water and landed in her arms; shocking us. "Feebas? What are you doing?" she asked it. Feebas looked up at its mother, watched her lower her head to its eye level, and stared at her child's eyes; reading and feeling its emotions. "Milotic... I found her in Cerulean City when I just fishing for the day. When I first saw her, I knew that she was something special. So, I had to catch her and let her join my team. Not only would she feel safe... but I wanted her to see the world with her very own eyes, and let her make her own dreams. Whether she wanted to be a battler or performer... she could be anything that she wanted to be." said Zuzu. Milotic turned to her, took her words to heart, looked back down at Feebas, and saw how happy she was with Zuzu.
She blinked her eyes, looked at Zuzu again, smiled warmly, and then rested her head onto Zuzu's; making her shocked and happy at the same time. Her eyes filled up with tears, and then she hugged Milotic as she cried. "She has given you her blessing of taking care of her child." said Astrid. "Indeed. That is a very big deal and honor to come from her. She saw through your heart and her child's eyes how much you two care about each other. To her... her child's happiness means more than anything in this world." Akemi replied. We smiled warmly of what was happening, and then watched Zuzu let go of Milotic. She wiped off her tears, and showed a smile to her. "Thank you, Milotic. I promise you that Feebas and I will make you proud." she said. Milotic let out a calm, happy sound, and nuzzled her and Feebas happily; making her and Feebas happy. A moment later, Feebas jumped out of Zuzu's arms and landed in the water; convincing Milotic to join her. "What's she doing?" Zuzu asked. "I think she's asking Milotic if she can give you a present? Isn't that right, Milotic?" Akemi replied with a warm smile. Milotic made a happy sound, nodded her head yes to her question, and it made Zuzu smile happily.
After that, Milotic joined Feebas in jumping into the water, and began swimming down for something. As they swam and searched for something, Milotic saw a pair of glowing red eyes staring at Feebas. Her eyes widened in shock to the sight, and she quickly grabbed her with her tail. They dodged an attack that came from the shadows, looked down, and saw some tentacles quickly appear and try to grab them again. They swam away very quickly a moment later, and then heard something swim after them; growling intensely as it chased them. They jumped up from the water and swan towards us. "Milotic? What's wrong? What did you see down there?" Astrid asked her. Milotic nodded her head yes to her question, and made a sound to the Feebas and small Pokémon to go and hide. The other Feebas and small Pokémon responded and went to go hide behind the nest, while Zuzu's Feebas jumped up onto the nest and into a little man made pool for her to breathe alongside a Horsea.
We stood up slowly and looked down at the water with Milotic as we saw a glowing red light shine in the water. We prepared ourselves for a fight, and then saw the Pokémon that rose up from the water. "Tent-a-cruel..." it growled. "A Tentacruel!?" Akemi replied in shock. "What in the world is it doing in here!? I thought they live in the ocean!?" Astrid replied. "Tent-a-cruel!" Tentacruel replied angrily, and then used Poison Jab at us. Me and my group dodged the attack as it came towards us. "I guess it's pissed at us for being here..." Pat replied. "No shit. But how are we supposed to defeat it without hurting the Pokémon that live here?" Celina replied. Before anyone thought of an idea; the Kingdra, Seaking, Gyarados, and Milotic attacked the Tentacruel with various moves to keep it at bay when their children went to hide. "Tent! Tent-a... Tent-a-cruel!" yelled Tentacruel as it made its red orbs glow brightly. As it did this, it summoned more Tentacruel to come and join it in this fight; shocking all of us. "There's more of them... how can we defeat them like this?" I said. Milotic made a sound and used her light to stop the Tentacruel for now. She then turned to us, and began to speak to Akemi and Astrid through their minds.
As they did this, they understood what she had said, and nodded their heads to her. "What did she say?" Declan asked. "She wants the two of us to protect the Eggs and the small Pokémon that live here, while you all join her and fight the Tentacruel together." Astrid replied. "What!? Is she serious?" he replied. "She is. When it comes to any danger towards her home and her family, she will do anything to protect them. Even if it means that she sacrifices herself to save this place." Akemi replied. We were shocked to what they had said, turned to Milotic, and then she made a cry to us; asking us to join her side and help her. Once when we understood the tone of her voice, we nodded our heads yes to her; accepting her request. "Okay. We'll help you. But before we do that, we need to keep the Eggs and babies safe. Akemi. Astrid. You know what to do." I said. "Right." they replied. They turned to the Eggs, took a deep breath, and made their eyes glow their respective colors.
They used their powers to shield Milotic's Eggs and the small Pokémon when they went to their nests; keeping them safe. "Taylor! They're all safe now! You and your friends can battle Tentacruel safely now!" said Akemi. "Okay! Just make sure it doesn't come after you!" I replied. "Got it!" Astrid replied. I nodded my head in understanding, and then threw out Tsunami's Dive Ball; making him appear. He roared loudly, and let me jump up on his head. "Zach! You and the guys get up here! Hurry!" I said. "Got it!" he replied. After that, he and the guys jumped up and sat down on Tsunami's head. I then turned to Milotic, saw her look at me, and we nodded our heads in understanding. She then turned to Zuzu and Celina, and made a noise to them. "Huh..? What did she say?" Celina asked. "She wants us to be up there and help her." Zuzu replied. "What!? Are you sure?" Celina replied. "I'm sure. I want to help protect her home as much as she does. And I want to show those Tentacruel that this is a home that they should not destroy." Zuzu replied as she clutched her hand into a fist."Vul." Vulpix replied. "Pi-ka-chu." her Pikachu replied as she clutched her paw into a fist.
Once she saw the determination in her eyes, Celina nodded her head in understanding, and then the two Trainers climbed up on Milotic's head, and watched her surrounded by some Seaking and Kingdra to protect her, while Tsunami was surrounded by the Gyarados and some more Kingdra; ready to fight. Celina sent our her Fearow, Hitmonlee, Raticate, and Venusaur; ready to fight. "Fearow!" said Fearow. "Saur!" her Venusaur replied. "Lee!" Hitmonlee replied. "Raticate!" Raticate replied. "Fearow, Hitmonlee, Raticate, Venusaur. I need you all to protect the nest alongside Akemi and Astrid. Make sure no Tentacruel gets close to them. Understand?" Celina replied. They nodded their heads in understanding and looked around the nest. They then stood by Akemi and Astrid; ready to fight and defend.
"Tent-a... Tent-a-cruel!" the Tentacruel replied as they began their attacks; using Poison Jab, Hydro Pump, Poison Sting, Brutal Swing, Ice Beam, and Dazzling Gleam. We dodged the attacks with ease and then attacked back; pushing them away from the nest. The Tentacruel used the same attacks again and this time they hit us back; pushing us back. "Milotic! Are you alright?" Zuzu asked her. Milotic nodded her head to her and then used Recover on herself to heal her wounds. "Whoa... that was Recover." said Celina. "Yep. But we can't let her over use it against them." Zuzu replied. "Right. I'll keep my eyes out at our sides and behind while you and Milotic focus on the front." Celina replied. "Got it. Ready, Milotic?" Zuzu replied. Milotic let out a determined sound and saw a Tentacruel jump up in front of her eyes and begin to use Poison Jab. "Milotic, use Dragon Pulse!" said Zuzu. Milotic let out her battle cry, and used Dragon Pulse for the first time; hitting Tentacruel upto the ceiling and watched it fall back to the water injured.
Celina saw the fallen Tentacruel for the first time, stared at it, and took out a PokéBall from her bag. "Huh!? Celina!? What are you doing?" Zuzu asked as she turned to her. "I'm catching it. If I can heal it quickly and use it on our side, the other Tentacruel might retreat." she replied. "Okay. Let's hope this works." Zuzu replied. "Me too. PokéBall, go!" she replied as she threw the PokéBall at Tentacruel. It touched it, did the capture process, went back to Celina, shook three times, and confirmed the capture. "Tentacruel has been registered to your PokéDex." said Celina's phone. "Got it." she replied. She then quickly took out a Full Restore, healed Tentacruel, and sent it out for battle. "Ten-ta-cruel." it said. "Okay! Let's do this! Tentacruel! Use Screech on all the Tentacruel!" she replied. "Ten! Ten-ta-cruel!" Tentacruel replied as it used Screech on its former allies. "Ten-ta!" they cried as they heard the sound.
"Ow! Who's doing that?" said Sora. "Me!" Celina replied as she jumped onto Tentacruel's head with her Nidoran and surfed over to us. "What!? You caught one of them!? How did you do that?" Pat replied. "I'll tell you later! Right now, focus on the fight!" she replied. "Right!" he replied. After that, we all went back to fighting the Tentacruel. As we fought, Zuzu's Feebas began to swim anxiously in the pool; wanting to join in for the fight. As she swam around, she noticed something shine in the pool. She looked down at it curiously, and noticed a blue-pink colored scale. "Feebas..." she said to herself. She gently picked it up with her mouth, looked at Akemi and Astrid as they protected her mother's nest, saw Celina's team defend them from incoming Tentacruel, and then saw us fighting the other Tentacruel. "Sea? Sea-Sea. Hor-sea." said Horsea. "Bas? Bas-Bas. Feebas. Fee-Fee-bas." she replied. "Sea-Sea. Hor-sea." Horsea replied as it nodded its head to her. "Ah!" screamed a voice.
They turned to the water and saw Milotic get knocked back, and Zuzu fall into the water. "Zuzu!" I yelled. I stood up and jumped down into the water, swimming towards her as the Tentacruel came after us. "Bas!" Feebas replied. Her eyes widened from shock for a moment, and then instantly got angry at what happened to Zuzu. She then launched herself from the pool, dived into the water, and chased after us. As she swam, she saw me quickly swimming down to her. I gently grabbed her arm as she stared at me, put it around my shoulders, and began to swim up with her. As we swam, we saw her swim upto us and guide us to the surface. When we got our heads out and began to breathe again, she saw the Tentacruel that chased after us come close to us. Her eyes widened in shock to this, was hit by a tentacle, and watched it grab our ankles and begin to drag us down. Once she saw it drag us down, she gave off a determined look, swam back down, chased after us, and then her body began to glow; shocking us and the Tentacruel.
As she swam and evolved, she hit the Tentacruel on the head, watched it let us go, and let us get on top of her head; getting us out of the water. We rose up from the depths, saw everyone look at us, and then Zuzu's Feebas finished her evolution; fully evolving into Milotic. She let out her battle cry at our foes, and then used Aqua Tail on them; pushing them back with her newfound strength. "Tay! Zuzu! Are you two alright?" Zach asked us. Zuzu's Milotic swam over to Tsunami, and let Zach and Declan come over to us; helping us cough the water out of our lungs. "Yeah... we're okay." I replied. "Tay..?" Zuzu replied. "Yeah?" I replied. "Thank you... for saving me." she replied. "Don't thank me. If it wasn't for your Milotic... we would've been dinner to that thing." I replied as I gave Zuzu's Milotic a gentle pat on the head.
Zuzu looked at her Milotic for the first time, and saw her blue eyes look at her blue eyes. After staring at each other for a moment, Zuzu patted her head and gave her a hug. "Thank you, Milotic... for saving our lives." she said. Milotic closed her eyes, smiled, and nuzzled her happily; making her Trainer smile. After the hug ended, we saw the Tentacruel look at all of us as we looked at them. She blinked her eyes, looked down at the ripples of the water, and began to remember how I used the water to my advantage in my battle against Misty. Once the flashbacks stopped playing in her head, she snapped her fingers and turned to me. "Tay! I have an idea on how we can defeat them." she said. "Okay. What's the plan?" I replied. "We're going to trap them." she replied. "Huh? How are we going to do that?" I replied. "Easy. Milotic, splash the water around them with Aqua Tail! Vulpix, use Flamethrower on the water as it comes up in the air!" she replied.
Milotic and Vulpix nodded their heads in understanding, looked at our foes, and began their attacks. Milotic let out her battle cry and used Aqua Tail on the water; confusing the Tentacruel. "Vulpix! Vul-pix!" said Vulpix as she used Flamethrower on the water; creating a think wall of steam all around the Tentacruel. "Whoa..." said Sora and Pat. "Zuzu... did you just do what I think you just did?" Celina replied as she saw Zuzu looking at her. "Yep. I copied one of Tay's strategies and put a little twist to it." she replied. "That's awesome! But now what do we do with them?" Sora replied. "We do this. Milotic! Use Whirlpool to trap the Tentacruel!" she replied. Milotic let out her cry again, and used Whirlpool to trap the Tentacruel from below; shocking them. As she did this, her mother also used Whirlpool to trap the Tentacruel that escaped the first one; making sure no one can escape. As they spun around; the Gyarados, Kingdra, and Seaking charged up Hyper Beam in front of us and were ready to strike.
"Tay! Declan! This is where I need your help!" said Zuzu. "Right!" I replied. "Just give us the signal, and we'll strike!" Declan replied. "Right! Pikachu? You ready?" Zuzu replied with smirk. "Pi-ka!" she replied. She then turned to Tetrax and Raichu, watched them nod their heads to her, and she nodded back. After that, the Gyarados, Kingdra, and Seaking fired their Hyper Beams at the Tentacruel at every angle; sending then flying up in the air. Akemi and Astrid turned around, dropped the shields, and saw the Tentacruel now up in the air. "Now!" said Zuzu. "Tetrax, use Thunderbolt!" I replied. "You too, Pikachu!" Zuzu replied. "Raichu, use Thunder!" Declan replied. "Pi-ka!" Tetrax and Zuzu's Pikachu replied as they jumped off our shoulders. "Rai-Rai!" Raichu replied as he jumped off Declan's shoulder. The three Electric-types met each other side-by-side, gave each other fist bumps, and then charged up all their electricity. "Pika-chu!" both Tetrax and Pikachu replied. "Rai-chu!" Raichu replied. They fired their attacks, watched them fuse together to create a giant lightning bolt, and then watch the combined attack hit the Tentacruel; damaging and shocking them.
They landed back onto our shoulders, and we watched all the Tentacruel fall from the ceiling and crash into the water. Astrid, Akemi, Horsea, and all the baby Pokémon came over to us as we slowly approached the Tentacruel, looked down at them, and saw that they have fainted. "I... I think we did it..." said Zuzu. "Yeah. We did it. We really did it." I replied as I gave her a pat on the back. She turned to me, smiled happily, and gave me a hug; making me smile and laugh happily. "We did it! We really did it! We won!" she said. "Alright!" Sora and Pat cheered. "Great work, you guys!" Zach replied happily as he hugged us. "You guys did it! That plan worked!" Celina replied as she joined in on the hug. "Excellent work, everyone!" Declan replied happily. As we celebrated, Astrid and Akemi smiled at us warmly, and then turned to the Tentacruel; seeing them slowly wake up and move with their injuries. Milotic's mother looked down at the Tentacruel as they looked up at her, and then she used her energy to heal their wounds and calm their hearts.
We ended the celebration, and saw the Tentacruel down below us getting healed. "Huh? What's going on? Why are they getting healed?" said Celina. "Because our Milotic wants them to leave in peace with all their wounds healed." Astrid replied. "But... why? How can she just forgive them like that?" Pat replied. "Because she doesn't want them to be like our parents. If she never calmed them, they would still go on a destructive rampage and massacre everything and everyone in sight." Akemi replied. A moment later, the Tentacruel were healed from their wounds. They looked up at us calmly, blinked their eyes a couple times, and then began to leave the area on their own accord. "Look at that. They're leaving the area." said Sora. "Yeah... I guess they heard Milotic calmly tell them to leave the area in peace and not disrupt this place again." Zach replied. We nodded our heads in agreement to his response, and continued to watch the Tentacruel as they left the area.
After they left, we went back to Milotic's nest, and sat down together as we watched Milotic lay down with her Eggs; using her body heat to keep them warm. "Man... I'm glad that's over. Now Milotic can raise her babies in peace." said Celina. "Mhm." Zuzu and I replied. "Sea!" Horsea replied happily as it splashed in the pool. "Hm? Hey... I recognize you... you were the Horsea that was following me, weren't you?" I replied as I looked at it and played with a empty PokéBall in my hands. "Sea!" Horsea replied happily. It then jumped out of the pool and landed in my arms; shocking everyone. "Sea-Sea! Hor-sea!" it said happily. "Aww~ I think Horsea likes you, Taylor." Astrid replied. "It does?" I replied curiously. "Mhm. I haven't seen a Horsea act like this around a human in a long time. When they act like towards a certain person, it shows that they like them for the person they truly are." she replied. "Yes. And to that Horsea, you are a brave warrior with a kind and gentle soul. Just like Eve herself." Akemi replied.
I blinked my eyes, took their words to heart, and then looked down at Horsea. "Is that true, Horsea? About what they said?" I asked it. "Sea!" it replied happily. It then jumped out of my arms, dived into the water outside the nest, swam upto its mother, and talked to her. "What's it doing?" Zach asked. "I think it's asking that Kingdra's permission if it can travel with Taylor." Declan replied. My eyes widened in shock to what he said, and then we saw Horsea come back to us, jump out of the water, and land back in my arms. "Hey, little guy." I said. It jumped happily to me speaking to it, saw the PokéBall in my hand, and then looked back up at me. "Horsea? Do you have your mother's permission to come along with me?" I asked. "Sea! Hor-sea!" it replied happily. "That's amazing!" Sora replied. "Yeah! What do you think, Milotic? Do you also want Horsea to come along and be your friend?" Zuzu replied as she looked up at her Milotic. She made a happy sound and nodded her head yes to her question.
"Alright. If that is what you want, then I will accept your request." I said. "Horsea!" Horsea replied happily. I gently touched Horsea with the PokéBall, watched it go through the capture process, shake once, and confirmed the capture. "Horsea has been registered to your PokéDex." said my phone. "Congrats, Tay. You got yourself a brand new family member." Zach replied. "I sure did. Not in the way I expected to catch a Pokémon, but... I guess it worked out in the end." I replied. "Yeah. That little guy must've had his eyes on you ever since it first saw you. He might've been a little intimidated by you at first, but once he saw how you and the rest of us worked as a team... he then decided that it be right for him to go with you." he replied. I nodded my head in agreement to his response; making him smile warmly at me. After that, we heard the sound of something cracking open. We turned to Milotic as she moved her tail, and saw her Eggs begin to hatch.
"Look! They're hatching!" said Zuzu happily. Her Milotic made a happy sound in agreement, and then nuzzled upto her; making her smile and hug her. A moment later, the Eggs were fully hatched, and we saw the newborn Feebas for the first time. "Aww! They're so cute!" said Sora happily. The Feebas looked around curiously, and then Milotic gently led them to the pool; helping them start working their fins. We smiled happily at this, and then Akemi, Astrid, Milotic, and I sensed something above us. We quickly looked up to the ceiling of the cave, and sensed something above the surface of the water. "Huh? Hey? You girls okay?" Pat asked us as I stood up. "Yeah... we're fine." I replied as my eyes glew. "We just... sense something above the surface of the lake." Akemi replied. "What do you all see?" Declan replied as he slowly stood up. "We see... a family at the edge of the lake... calling out to one of you." Astrid replied. She and Akemi then used their powers to show us who we were seeing up at the edge of the lake. "Wait... that's my family!" said Declan.
"Huh!? That's your family!?" Pat replied. "Yeah. Those are my parents, and my sisters. They must've been looking for me for hours..." Declan replied. "Do you wish to return to them?" Akemi replied. "I do. But... how will I explain all of this to them?" he replied. "Just try your best in explaining it all, and hope this doesn't convince them to find locations like this and cause trouble." Astrid replied. "Right. Thank you. Both of you. Thank you both for showing us this beautiful place." he replied. "Yeah. It means a lot to us to learn about this place and its origins to your history." Zuzu replied. We nodded our heads to them in thanks; making them smile warmly. "You're very welcome. And... thank you all for helping us protect Milotic and her home. It means a lot to us." said Astrid. "You're welcome. We were glad to help." I replied. We smiled at each other warmly, watched Milotic say goodbye to Zuzu's Milotic, and then say goodbye to Zuzu. "Goodbye, Milotic. I promise that your daughter will be safe with me." she said. Milotic nodded in understanding, and then used her calming energy again around us; telling us goodbye for now. After that, she gifted us with both Dragon and Prism Scales to keep for ourselves as a sign of thanks for helping her protect her home.
"I guess this is where our meeting ends?" said Akemi to me. "Yeah... this is it. Akemi. Astrid. Thank you. Thank you both for guiding me here and learn the beauty of our abilities. I know that your parents are very proud of you of what you have done here in this world." I replied. "You're welcome. And thank you. Thank you and your friends for showing Milotic that there are still kind-hearted human beings out there in this world who are willing to do the right thing." Astrid replied. I nodded my head in thanks, and then shook hands with Akemi and Astrid for one final time, and then they used their powers to teleport us back to the edge of the lake. "May the Guardians protect you all. And may Arceus keep you safe with its Light." they said as we left.
Scale Lake
"Declan!" said Declan's little sister. "Declan!" Declan's older sister replied. "Declan! Sweetheart! Where are you?" Declan's mother replied. "Declan!" Declan's father replied. After they called out to him, they saw something shine at the edge of the lake. They ran upto it, and then saw us instantly appear in front of them. We stared at them curiously, and then saw Declan's sisters run upto him and hug him. "Declan! You're okay!" said the younger sister. "Yes, Riley. I am alright." he replied as he gently patted her head. "Where were you!? We were looking everywhere for you after we lost your signal on our phones." the older sister replied. "Easy there, Ray. Your brother just returned. Let him catch his breath, and then tell us what had happened to him." said her father. "Yes, Father." Ray replied. "Ah! Principal Akaba!" Sora and Celina replied as they bowed to him. "What!? That's your Principal!?" Pat replied.
"Ah... Celina. Sora. I'm glad to see you two here. Are you the ones who kept my son safe from anyone that tried to harm him?" Mr. Akaba replied. "Yes, sir. We did. But we didn't do it alone. We did with our friends." Celina replied as she, Sora, and the Akaba family turned to us. "It's true, Father. I was with them when I went missing. You see... we all saw a powerful and rare Pokémon that needed our help to defend its home from a group of Pokémon that wanted to destroy it. We went down into the caves of the lake where this Pokémon lives and helped it defend its home. After that, the Pokémon thanked us and gave us these as gifts. After that, we returned here and here we are." Declan replied as he showed his family the Dragon and Prism Scales he was gifted to them.
"What... you actually met the Pokémon who gives the Scales?" Ray replied surprised. Declan nodded his head yes to her question. "I see... you there. Children. Is what my son said true of all these events?" Mr. Akaba replied. "Yes, sir. He's telling the truth." I replied. He was honestly surprised of my answer, and then walked upto me; staring at me in the eyes. He blinked his eyes, extended his hand to me, and showed a small, warm smile. "Very well then. Declan, I believe your story. But now... who are these little friends of yours that helped you get here?" he said. "I'm Taylor. And these are my friends: Zach, Pat, and Zuzu. It's an honor to meet you, sir. I've heard so much about you from Declan, Celina, and Sora." I replied as I shook his hand. "Taylor, huh? Nice to finally meet you. I've heard a lot about you from our region's Champion." he replied. "What!?" my group and Declan replied in shock.
"Yes. The Champion has talked about her to us when he would visit the Academy for special classes." Mrs. Akaba replied. "And when he got to battle me and Zarc a few times there too." Ray replied. "No... way... your brother talked about you at the Academy..." Celina replied as she looked at me. "Indeed. I've heard many high praises of you during his visits; especially how you quickly developed your battling and training skills before any of my students at your age became Trainers." Mr. Akaba replied. "Yes, sir. That's true." I replied. I blinked my eyes, turned to my left, and saw Riley holding onto Declan's leg; staring at me curiously. "It's alright, Riley. Her Pokémon may look tough on the outside, but they are very friendly on the inside." Declan consoled her. She blinked her eyes, nodded her head, saw me kneel down on my right knee, and she walked upto me. She then stood in front of me, and saw that I was now at her eye level. "H-Hello." she said shyly.
"Hi, Riley." I replied in a soft tone; letting her know that she is safe around me. She blinked her eyes, and then looked at Tetrax on my shoulder; seeing his green eyes looking at her. "Pika-chu." he said in a soft, happy tone as he wagged his tail. Once I noticed Riley looking at him, I knew what question I had to ask her. "Do you want to pet him?" I asked. She gasped in a soft, surprised tone for a moment, and then got back to her composure. "Really? I can really pet him?" she replied. "Of course." I replied. She blinked her eyes, took a deep breath, walked up closer to Tetrax, reached out her hand, and gently petted his head. "Cha~" he said happily. Once she heard the tone of his voice, she smiled happily, let out a happy giggle, and continued to pet him. "Riley..." said Mrs. Akaba as tears filled up in her eyes. "She did it... she's petting a real Pokémon..." Ray replied with a smile. Declan and his father smiled warmly as they heard Riley giggle happily, and then she stopped petting Tetrax. "Riley?" said Declan. "Hm?" she replied as she turned to him. "Did you realize that you just petted a real Pokémon?" he replied. "Mhm." she replied. "How did that make you feel?" he replied with a smile. "It felt great! This is the best day of my life!" she replied; making us smile.
"Taylor? Is this Pikachu yours?" she asked me as she turned back to me. "Yep. I've had him ever since he was a baby Pichu." I replied. "Really?" she replied happily. I nodded my head yes to her question; making her smile. "That's amazing. I've never seen a Pikachu in real life before." she replied. "Really? Is he the first one you ever saw?" I replied. "Mhm." she replied. She blinked her eyes, and then saw Zuzu's Pikachu looking over at her. "There's another one!" she said as we turned to Zuzu. "Yep. That's her Pikachu. She caught her in Viridian Forest." I replied. "She's right. That's where me and my Pikachu first met." Zuzu replied as she walked over to us, and knelt down next to me. "Pika-Pi." Pikachu replied with a smile. "Zuzu? Can she pet your Pikachu?" I replied. "Sure." she replied happily. Riley smiled happily and then started petting Zuzu's Pikachu. "Cha~" said Pikachu happily. Riley giggled happily to Pikachu's reaction, and then turned to her family; showing a bright smile to them.
Ray and Mrs. Akaba smiled with tears in their eyes, and Declan and Mr. Akaba smiled warmly at her; showing her how proud they are of her. We smiled at her too, and then we all heard a sound come from behind us. We turned to the lake, and then saw Milotic appear. "Leo..? Is that a-" said Mrs. Akaba replied in a soft, surprised tone. "A Milotic..? Yes... that is a Milotic, dear." Mr. Akaba replied. Milotic slowly swam over to us, and let out a calm, happy sound to us. "Hi, Milotic." said Zuzu. She smiled at us, gently moved her tail up and down, and then saw Riley for the first time. Riley's eyes widened in shock and awe to see Milotic looking at her, and watched her lower her head to her. She walked upto Milotic, and then saw her scales begin to lightly glow. As we watched this, Ray prepared a PokéBall in her hand; ready to battle. "Ray. Don't." said Mr. Akaba he turned to her. "Huh? How come?" Ray replied curiously. "Just watch." he replied.
She lowered her hand, and then saw Riley and Milotic rest their heads together, and then Milotic used her ability to send a calming energy around them; letting Riley know that she is safe. "What the..? What is this?" said Ray curiously. "It's Milotic's special ability. They have the power to release a calming energy to anyone's heart that has gone dark." Mrs. Akaba replied. Ray's eyes widened in awe of what Milotic was doing, and then turned to Declan; seeing him walk upto Riley and kneel down next to her as Milotic lifted her head and slowly moved back. "Riley? What did you think of Milotic?" he asked her. "She's... she's beautiful." she replied. "She sure is." he replied. They looked at Milotic happily as she looked down at all of us. She let out a happy cry to us, and then began to swim back to her nest. But before she left, she looked up at the full moon in the sky, and then jumped up in the air, made her scales glow in the moonlight, and then dived back down into the water.
"Whoa... that was so cool!" said Riley happily. "It sure was." Ray replied as she walked upto her, and knelt down at her side. Milotic rose up from the water again, and then let out a happy cry to us. After we heard her voice, she then dove back down to swim to her nest. "Goodbye, Milotic! I hope I will see you again soon!" said Riley as she waved goodbye to Milotic. We all smiled at her reaction, and then we left the area together with warm smiles on our faces.
Route 6
"Aww! Do we really have to go?" said Riley. "Yes, honey. We have to leave and head for the Vermilion City Hotel." Mrs. Akaba replied. "But don't you worry, you will see your new friends again when they come to the city. Isn't that right?" Mr. Akaba replied as he looked at us. "Yes, sir." Celina and Sora replied. "Absolutely." I replied. He smiled warmly at us, and then shook my hand again. "Taylor, Zuzu, Zach, Pat. Make sure to take good care of Celina and Sora for us." he said. "We will." we replied. We ended the handshake, and then Riley ran over to me and gave me a hug; shocking and surprising us. I hugged her back, and then gently put her hood down and turned her hat backwards. "We'll see you again soon, Riley." I said. "You promise?" she replied. "I promise." I replied with a warm smile; making her happy. She let me go and then went over to Ray and Declan as they looked at her.
"Well then, guys. This is where we part ways for now." said Declan. "Yeah." Celina replied. "But they will meet again in Vermilion City for the Contest." Sora replied. "Right. Zuzu. I wish you the best of luck in the Contest." Declan replied. "Thank you, Declan." Zuzu replied with a smile. "And Taylor. I wish you luck on your Gym battle there as well." he replied. "Thank you." I replied. We then shook hands for a moment, let go, and then me and the group said our goodbyes to the Akaba family; watching them fly to Vermilion City. As they left, Celina and Sora breathed sighs of relief. "Finally." said Celina. "Finally what? Finally free from speaking formally to your Principal?" Zach replied. She and Sora nodded their heads yes to his response. "I have to admit, he does sound like a good guy... but..." said Pat. "But what?" Celina replied curiously. "Why was there robotic parts on his head?" he replied. "He got into an fatal accident many years ago, and it required brain surgery. They couldn't fix his skull properly at the hospital, and then hired some people to create those parts for his head." she replied.
"Really..? That's amazing." he replied. "Yeah. But when you noticed it, did you think that it looked cool?" she replied. "Huh!? Well... I... I thought it did look cool. But... I wouldn't want that for myself or for anyone of you guys." he replied as he blushed nervously. "That's fair." she replied. He breathed a sigh of relief, and then saw me and Zach begin to walk on our own to a big open spot of grass. "Hey! Wait up you two!" he said as he and the group ran up after us. We turned to them, smiled, and then we stopped in our tracks. "Huh? What are you guys up too?" he asked us. Before we said a word, I covered my mouth and yawned. "Oh." he said. "Looks like someone's a little sleepy?" Sora replied. I nodded my head yes to his response, and then yawned again; making them do the same. "Geez, Tay. Your yawn is contagious." said Celina tiredly. "Sorry." I replied tiredly. "I think its her powers telling her that she needs to sleep and recharge." Zach replied. "Yeah. I guess you're right. She must be really exhausted from everything that happened at the lake today." Zuzu replied. "Yeah. What do you say, guys? We make camp here for the night and rest here until morning?" Zach replied.
We nodded our heads in agreement, and then set up camp for the night. About two hours later, we were all sound asleep in our tents; ready for what the morning has in store for us.

What an adventure this story has been so far, but now we move onto ARC 2: Vermilion Contest. This new Arc will mostly focus on Vermilion City, and little trips to Rock Tunnel and Lavender Town! I am so excited for the next ARC, and I can't wait for you all to see how it will play out!
