The streamer had been buried in the sand in Scorching Sandpaper Desert Minor, near where Stephen had been eaten by the Pokey. After exploring the whole desert, Mario had found some strange emeralds cut into the shapes of a triangle, a circle, a rhombus, and a square. They belonged to the four Toad Towers in the desert. Upon inserting them to their proper place and lighting the oil inside of a large vat inside of them with the Fire Vellumental, they all turned direction and an emerald beam shot from their eyes. When the three returned to Scorching Sandpaper Desert Minor, Chikyū's Magic Circle lie on top the small square platform.

"Ooh, the Earth Vellu-Oops, I mean Chikyū's here to help us! That's so sweet." She went over to the Magic Circle and folded into Chikyū. "I really love doing this! I get to dance again!" She brought out the pom-poms. "You want to see my dance, Stephen?"

"I-I-I-I-I...That-that...a-a...!"

"Oh, I think he's still in shock from when I folded into Seraphina." She copied the dance from before, Mario joining in.

The platform raised to reveal a giant temple-like building with giant Toad statues on the top of the steps to the front door. There was a door at the top as well, but the Yellow Streamer was blocking access to it.

Stephen was paranoid since they entered. He kept making comments about the spiders and strange shadows on the walls. Mario entered a large room to find a bunch of small spiders attacking something on the ground. After clearing them off, he found it was a Toad.

"Oh, goodness. At least there are others he-OH MY GOSH!" He turned around, shuddering. "Nope, nope, nope..."

"What's wrong, Mario?" Olivia asked the horrified Mario. "Is something wrong with this Toad? Everything looks fine from here."

"Uhhhhh..."

Olivia flew around the Toad and hesitated for a moment.

She screamed. "Where's his face?! That's horrifying!" She pat his head. "He looks like he's trying to say something. Hello? Can you hear me? Do you still have your ears in your...head? Hat? I actually don't know what that Mushroom cap is."

The yellow Toad had no face, it instead being a hole where it should be. Mario stuck his arm through the hole.

"It doesn't look like it-a hurts..."

They had found a lot more Toads with missing faces after that as well. Most of them were trapped in spiders' webs. Mario had found three music discs on his way to the streamer. They finally arrived in the final room of the temple, the top floor, where the streamer led them to a closed door.

Mario knocked on the door. "Hello?"

"GO AWAY UNLESS YOU GOT SOME JAMS!"

"Whoever is behind that door clearly doesn't want to talk to you, Mario." Olivia looked down the stairs. "There's a Toad down there, I wonder if he'll tell us something."

Mario went over to the purple Toad. His eyes were blocked from a view by a pair of sunglasses with golden rims. He was behind a turntable set, and looked very upset.

"Hey, Mario."

"Hey."

"I have a problem."

"What's wrong? You should be dancing!" Olivia started dancing. "This song's great!"

"Well he doesn't like it! He talks weird but has really particular taste. He'll take my face if I don't find the song he wants soon! I dropped some of my CD's running from the faceless Toads and he won't let me leave. Could you find them please? I'll owe you for it."

Mario held up a pink one. "What about-a this?"

The Toad began playing it, and Mario started bobbing his head to the beat. They looked up at the door.

"I HATE IT!"

Mario flinched.

"I get why some people like it, but that song was overplayed! I want something nobody's heard before! Try again!"

"That's a no," the Toad said. "This is what I get for being named Beatz, huh? Doomed to play music or die."

"Don't worry, Beets! We'll find your music and save your face!"

"Thanks for that."

Mario held up the silver one next. "This one?"

Beatz tried that one next. They all waited for a response again.

"NOPE! That one is just terrible, man! You should just put that crud right into a dumpster! I'm done with that one! Quémalo!"

"What did he just say?" Olivia asked.

"No idea, as per the usual," Beatz responded.

Mario held up a red and yellow one. "This?"

Beatz played a full minute of that one before the person spoke up again.

"You're getting closer...That one is a bit groovy, but not enough. Keep trying, man. You'll find it somewhere."

"Any more?"

Mario shook his head.

"I went down that way," he pointed at a flight of stairs that led down a level, "before getting cornered by some Folded Soldiers. I'll bet the last one's around there."

Mario had found it, but a Black Shy Guy was hiding behind the statue it rested on. When Mario drew near, he slapped Mario extremely hard with a fan. He had to use the 1,000-Fold Arms to reach it. He returned to Beatz.

"I-a found it!"

He played it, and the faceless Toads in the room began dancing to the beat. They looked back up at the door again.

"Yeah! That's the one!" They sounded happy for once. "But...I'm not going to be the ONLY one out there right? I'm not cutting a rug unless everybody's cutting a rug. Got it?"

They looked at Beatz, who shrugged. "I don't know! The Toads are dancing so I guess you can use them to convince him to leave?"

Stephen was given a radio with the disc inserted into it, and the three headed off. They were relatively easy to find besides a few hidden in coffins and the ones on the basement floor being held up by an abnormally large spider web. There were at ten spiders and twenty small spiders guarding the web. The arachnids clearly liked the taste of faceless Toad.

Mario pushed open the giant coffin on a raised platform past the spiders.

"WAAAAH!"

"What's wrong, Mario?!" She looked to reveal a decaying sarcophagus inside, the jaw unhinged. "AAAAH! It's staring at me!" She hid behind Mario.

"No, wait! This is the Ancient King Shrooms!" Stephen handed the radio to Mario. "There's a strange glimmer coming from inside of it...I'll take a look."

"Isn't that-a disrespecting the dead?"

"Us archeologists do this all the time, don't worry." He snapped on some latex gloves. "Excuse me, my king!"

He dug through it for a bit before pulling out an old, dusty book and a Power Star. He handed the Power Star to Mario, who used it to take out the spiders. However, while Mario was busy, Stephen showed Olivia the book.

He brushed the dust off and removed the gloves. "Olivia, come look at this," he said, flipping open the thick pages. "Does this look familiar to you?"

Olivia shook her head. "No."

"Now look at this." He turned the book around to reveal an image of the 1,000-Fold Arms Magic Circle. Or, at least, something that looked like it.

"It's more square, has two hands, and a swirl in the center; but it looks like the 1,000-Fold Arms Magic Circle! Why'd he have that with him?"

"It must have been very important..." His gaze returned to the decaying royal. "Or really bad."
