"She was the nicest person I knew. She was the one who planted the Great Tree of the Whispering Woods; and raised Lemon from a young age."
"The Great Tree...Ol' Grandsappy?!"
"I see he's made a name for himself."
Mario walked off the boat onto an island that towered slightly above the thick, light purple fog. What Olivia could see from it, seemed that the island was made from the giant skull of some sort of creature.
"Yeah! We restored his youth."
"She was beautiful. Her very presence was enough to turn every head in the entire room. She particularly caught my attention."
"Oh?" Her head tilted to the side. "Did you love her?"
His smile grew a little wider. "I still do. I know you aren't her, but you remind me so much of her that it makes me envious of the ones around you. You're very kind, I can see that. You stated before that you had an 'evil brother'? Tell me about him."
"Olly? Well, he didn't always used to be that way. When he folded me to life, he was so gentle and kind. He also seemed kind of shy, heehee. Hm...he was really weak at first. He had to fold me by hand rather than with his Fold of Life but...ooh, he's so evil now. He crushed me with a rock and forced Bobby to sacrifice himself, just so we can stop Olly!"
"Fold of Life? That sounds familiar..."
"Does it? Olly said it's 'a rare ability only a select few can inherit.' He told me us two were the lucky ones. Ooh, I can't imagine how strong he is now. It just makes me so mad!" Her face turned red. "Squareser said he'd punch Olly's face in, and I think I'll let him get a few hits on my brother first before I talk him out of this nonsense!"
Kaaptan Teeowed gave a hearty laugh. "I like you, Olivia. That spirit will help you survive through all of your trials."
"You still talk too weird for me to understand...but I think I understood that one!" Her smile faded. "Do you feel that breeze? It's kind of hard..."
The wind sped up, sending the fog around them into the distance as it faded away. Olivia's gaze moved from the giant fan sinking back into the water, to the expansive view of the ocean.
"Woah, it got bigger."
Kaaptan Teeowed followed her gaze. "Yes, this is the true view of the Great Sea."
"Olly...I hope he's okay. He's losing his true personality the more this day drags on. Oh, brother..." She let out a sigh as Mario returned to the ship and they headed off. "Why wouldn't he just listen to me the first time I tried to warn him?"
"Oh, because I didn't think it was necessary."
The boat came to a halt, everybody being tossed to the floor of the ship. Olivia got up first, looking up at her brother.
"Olly! What are you doing here?!"
"Stopping you, obviously. What else would I be wasting my time for?"
Mario shot Olly a dirty look.
"Aww, you made more friends!" He mocked, blinking his angled eye quickly and repeatedly. "Blech, I would rather stick pins in my eye."
"Well, wouldn't that hurt?" The sea captain Toad asked. Mario had freed him on Autumn Mountain, as he had been folded into a fish.
"It'll be better than your-Oh? Say, where's your little bomb friend?"
The entire boat fell silent, leaving only the sound of the waves to pierce the emptiness in their hearts.
"Are you telling me he's dead? Oh no, that's terrible! Anyways, how about that? You managed to get rid of three of the-"
"Mario!"
"Princess! I told you to stay inside!"
Mario peered over the edge of the ship to find Peach standing on the Scissors' handles as it lie afloat in the water.
"Scissors! I told you to watch her and make sure she stayed inside!"
"...She's very convincing."
"UHG!" Olly tossed his hands into the air. "Am I the ONLY one who knows what they're doing?! Three of the Legion members managed to die, and you're here being a gosh FREAKING RAFT?!"
"...Yes?"
Olly slapped his hand onto his face.
"She'd get soggy, my king."
"Hi, Scissors!" Olivia waved. "Is Olly being funny?"
"Hm...? Um, I suppose so. He trapped his hands in the piano key cover at some point."
"SCISSORS! Shut it!" He faced back to the group. "So, you found the Fire Vellumental, hm?"
"Her name is Seraphina!" Olivia defended. "And yes, yes I did."
"How did you manage to do that?! You can't read the Ancient Text, so how?"
"Because of-oop, pardon me-ME!" Stephen emerged from the crowd. "I read the text for your sister, traitor! Wait, you can read it?"
Olly nodded. "Is that bad?"
Stephen held up the book. "Can you read this kind of Ancient Text?"
"Oh? What's that? Something I missed? I'll just take that-" He reached for it, but Stephen swiped the book away.
"You only get it if you're part of this group! Get lost!"
"So you're King Olly, Olivia's elder brother." Kaaptan Teeowed said. "I do sense a great power from you, perhaps too great. You have done great sacrilege, folding the Bibliofolds like you had."
"Oh, shut up! Scissors, take Peach back to the castle, if you will."
"But Olly, you forgot to eat something!" She held up a plastic bag with a sandwich in it. "At least eat something before I go back? Also, can we stop by that Spa place again? I want to see if they do manicures!"
"Um, what is that anyways? And-wait no! You can't go back there!"
"Aww, why not? They were all so nice!"
"BeCAUSE, they're fixing the place up, remember? Once somebody finishes removing the streamers around your castle, I can move it back; remember?"
Peach sighed. "Oh well, maybe tomorrow after the Origami Festival. It was at least nice to see Mario again. Bye, Mario!" She waved goodbye to him with the sandwich in the bag as Scissors turned around and floated away.
"You lied to her face?!" Olivia gasped. "How dare you!"
"Livi, she doesn't know what I'm doing, and I'm going to make sure it stays that way. You better stay away from the castle or else I might just hurt your precious little princess. And you don't want that, do you Mario?"
Mario felt attacked. Olly just threatened the safety of Peach to his face! "I will never-a stop until you fall from the-a throne, Olly!"
"That's King Olly to you, and I have no other business here. Goodbye. I'll see you soon."
"Yeah, when I talk you out of this!" Olivia said.
"Oh, it's too late for that. That, my dear sister, is when I'll beat you and Mario and finally finish creating the perfect Origami Kin-"
"Oh, it's always-a you and your 'creation'!" Mario mocked in return. "It doesn't feel so good now-a, does it?!"
Olly inhaled deeply and slowly. "I'm going back to the castle to go punch a hole into the wall."
"Olly?"
Olly looked at his sister. "Yes?"
"Just...think this over, okay?"
"Fine." He flew away.
