You may see some things here that seem out-of-the-blue. Its all in the Date A Live lore, though what I used for this movie and the story I want to tell as a whole is more obscure. Its also where the Battlelogs come from, but again its all part of the grand scheme I've planned from the very start.
From Guest:
Ngl, I was skeptical. But this story does I have huge potential more I read it. Looking forward to the Mayuri chapter. I don't care which route happens honestly.
Bakuganman: Thank you, and your wish has been granted.
From 54godamora:
I am honored in being part of this journey.
Bakuganman: Honored to have had you aboard.
From Lildeevil:
Me: Don't you hate it when this happens?:
Nia: Aren't these your drawings?
Michael: AND IIIIIIIIIIIIIII HOLY SHIT! WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU! I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU DID THIS TO ME GOD DAMNIT, HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME!?
Me: Well I've only got one thing to say to you in this situation. Welcome to Hell.
I know it's cringe but its the only thing I could come up with.
Bakuganman: And his hell hasn't even officially started yet. We've only seen bits and pieces of it.
From Twilightiger1602:

Welp, that explains a few things. Didn't expect this site of all places to pull a Youtube.
As for the sidenote, I'll definitely be looking forward to what you have planned for those 4 and Mana. With what's to come, Michael is definitely going to need friends outside Ratatoskr to help him get through this with his sanity and dignity intake. That and it's nice to see other characters get some time in the spotlight... Can't say the same for Tamae though. Poor girl.
Again, not much to say for this chapter outside of Nia's introduction, though I will admit it was plenty hilarious to see her play Mikey like a fiddle. I can already tell that, outside of Mio, Nia is going to be the toughest Spirit to deal with for him, at least when it comes to the dating aspect. Her love for 2D truly knows no bounds!
And thank you for the kind words at the end. I too am honored to be a part of this journey... granted, the journey itself hasn't even started yet, but no use over sweating the small stuff.
With that, all we can do now is wait... wait until the day that this Date can well and truly begin.
Bakuganman: FanFiction honestly needs to hire people that actually use the website. Don't even get me started on YouTube…
I got big plans for those 4 side characters. And since the movie won the poll, more context is going to be given as promised. It won't be for some time into the movie, but you'll know it when you see it. That being said, everyone should take notes of everything they see and hear throughout this movie that sounds interesting… might be important later on.
I'll admit, not much I'd expect people to see at face value of the Nia chapter. But after this movie, you guys may want to go back and check the other chapters… some questions may have been answered. And your very welcome for the kind words. As the most vocal reviewer of the fanbase of this story, you deserved it.
And remember that time when you asked about Mayuri's return? 'Makes me wonder how he pulled that off' and what exactly Mayuri said to him to make him want to revive her?… This movie should answer that question.
From Guest (Sonic DxD ch35):
Can you please JUST START with your date a live story please and thank you.
Bakuganman: The only reason I grab this one was because it was in my Sonic DxD story. lol. If your here, refer to the above Authors Note.
Okay! Reviews over! Let's not waste any more time… shall we begin our date?
Mayuri Judgement - Part 1, Prologue:
After the hanger-like door opened, Michael and the Spirits mouths dropped open…
Capsules… capsules everywhere! Each filled with a liquid-like substance, with a human-like yet bulky being trapped inside. 100, 200, hell maybe even a thousand of these things were all down the room, at least thats would could be counted via a rough estimate.
Michael and Miku were the only ones to recognize these strange tubes immediately. It was just like back at DEM…
"What… is this place?" Kotori asked. She didn't know why, but something about this room gave her the creeps, and even a sixth sense in the back of her mind was telling her to get the hell out of the room, but her curiosity overrode that to a degree.
"What is this place?" Kaguya asked. "What the hell are those things!" She pointed to the many… MANY capsules in the room. Just like Kotori and Miku, alarm bells were going off in her head.
"Agreement…" Yuzuru said, though in a lower tone than usual, showing she herself was a bit nervous. She too felt the same way as Kaguya. "This room gives me an odd feeling…"
"Darling…" Miku finally said. "It's like before."
"Before?!" Kotori asked. "What do you mean before?!"
Michael looked as his roommate, probably about to backtalk her, but then realized why she acted that way. Riiiiiight… When he was trying to save Tohka, DEM had some sort of jamming signal, which was only deactivated went Tohka went berserk (AKA: Inverse). Because of this, the Commander was unaware of what Miku and Michael found before DEM Industries of Japan was destroyed, along with the evidence of what was in there.
"Yeah… Remember when Tohka was kidnapped?" Michael said, realizing he probably should've said something back then, but it all happened so fast in his defense. "We mistook this one room for Tohka's, found that Battlelog I showed Reine, and one of those capsule things were in DEM too."
Kotori leered at him. "… and you didn't think to, I don't know, bring this up to me before?"
"HEY! YOU try wielding a lightsaber that's ripping your body in half every time you swing it!" Michael got a little annoyed.
"I guess he trusts me more than you…" Kurumi said, making a very poor-timed joke.
"WHAT?!" Kotori exclaimed, her voice cracking in aggravation. "YOU TOLD KURUMI OF ALL PEOPLE?!
"I DID NOT TELL HER ANYTHING!l" Michael shouted back to his roommate, their voices echoing in the warehouse-like room. "SHE'S MY FUCKING SHADOW!"
While Mike and Kotori were arguing again, Yoshino was looking around at these capsules. That's when everyone heard wings fluttering, and looked above them too see a large beetle-like robot that was bigger than any of DEM of Japans mechs land before them.
The robot was violet in color, though its wings (which it had 4) were green, and had eight legs on the bottom of his body like a spider, these feet alone on these legs being six feet tall. It had scythe-like arms of a praying mantis, with the blades being green like its 4 wings. Finally its mouth had huge jaws and a single green eye, the green parts lit up and looked even scarier in the dim light of the room.
"SSSCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECH!" The robot screeched at them.
"WHAT IS THAT THING?!" Tohka shouted in fear, having seen nothing like this before, but that's when the monstrosity raised up one of its large scythe-like claws, preparing to attack the intruders…

Michael opened his eyes quickly, taking in a fast breath through his nose…
He sat up… it was a dream, a dream about another of the many unanswered questions he and Ratatoskr had. That battle was a tough fight, on par with Inverse Tohka if he had to be honest. That bug-like robot was called Light Wing… a battle mech from American DEM, which was no surprise there given America's rep, it was the context surrounding it.
Long story short, even with all the girls in Limited Dresses, and even with Kurumi's full one as she was not sealed at that point in time, that behemoth was a force to be reckoned with. Not even Kurumi's Zayin worked on it, or any of her bullets for that matter, since that mech ran on Spirit Power. They found this out when a barrier of Spirit Energy appeared to protect it nearly every time it was struck, and when they finally destroyed it, it caused a mini Space Quake which nuked the immediate area it was standing on.
After the fight, they found more of those Battlelogs from those machines (at least the ones that weren't destroyed in the explosion), but when the girls received them they were totally different from Michael's. Comparing them to Michael's, they were still very much thumb drive-like an appearance, The only difference was the coloring and the symbol in the middle:
Tohka's was white and had what appeared to be a gear.
Yoshino's was a slightly lighter blue than Michael's but it had a snowflake in the middle instead.
Kaguya and Yuzuru each received the same kind (not entirely a surprise there), them being green and had a type of hurricane or cyclone.
Kotori's being fittingly red and fittingly having a fire icon, very similar to the fire emoji.
Miku's was purple and had what could only be described as an atom-like pattern (why not a musical note or something, the group didn't know)
And finally Kurumi's had two sets of colors, being black mostly but with red highlights, and its symbol was very close to the Batman symbol except it was more in the shape of an "M".
Then they accessed files from a computer about the location they went to, revealing the mechs name and what it ran on, a portion of what Battlelogs were programmed to do and even who signed off on both them and Light Wing's creation…
Sir Isaac Ray Pelham Westcott.
What was that madman up too? What was the point of a battle mech THAT powerful? That's not even mentioning what else was hidden in that hellhole…
RING, RING! RING, RING! RING, RING!
Michael's cell phone went off, interrupting his thoughts. Reaching to his night table and unplugging it from the charger so he can put it to his ear, he answered. "Hello?"
"Where are you?!" Asked Kotori's voice. "Miku's concert is about to start in 10 minutes!" Hearing that, Michael turned to the clock… it was 8:20.
Michael groaned… riiiiiiight. Miku's Summer Girl concert that she scheduled was today, and it was on the first day of Summer Break. It's not that he didn't want to go, far from it. Inside, he was ecstatic. He would be able to see his celebrity crush perform again after years of her hiding in the shadows from a warped sense of shame.
The issue was, he was still very much exhausted. From the fight with Tohka in Inverse Mode, the Light Wing battle mech, not to mention Phantom herself… he was beat, having done so much back-to-back.
Worst of all, the concert was thanks to his big mouth…
"Can't she just reschedule…?" He groaning. "Like, say she caught sore throat or something?"
"No, because the contract already went through. Plus, they sold out under 3 hours." Kotori said. That sounded pretty accurate, seeing as Miku sang without her powers for the first time in so long and gained a ton of new fans as a result. "And furthermore. It was your idea."
"Don't remind me…" Mike said. it wasn't exactly his idea per se, more like it just came out at the wrong time. "What if I just, gave her back her powe-…?"
"Don't even think about it!" Kotori cut him off, knowing full well what he was implying. "Besides, she gave us VIP again… and would not take no for answer." She added. "Since we're stuck it, YOUR stuck with it. Now just please get here. If you don't show up, we won't hear the end of it."
Well, Mikey could see that happening. If he of all people didn't show up, the Idol would be devastated and probably cry 'Why didn't my Darling show up!' or something along those lines.
He grinned slyly. "Can I make myself breakfast first?"
"GET YOUR ASS OVER HERE!" Kotori's scream made the phone fly out of Michael's hand, levitate in the air, and vibrate due to the loud noise coming out of it.
"Alriiiiight!" Michael said as the phone went back into his hand. "Give me 5 minutes." With that, Michael hung up and got out of bed quickly. He'll brush his teeth of course, but probably wave the shower and just put cologne on or something.
But hey… he was about to go to a concert with his friends, the main star of the concert was a friend, and Miku did mention something about having a pool party afterward. After an entire school year of stress, it was finally time to relax.
It was the start of his Summer Vacation! What could possibly go wrong!

Above the city of Tenju, a single ball the size of a teardrop fell from the sky. When it impacted the crosswalk of the street, it "splashed" into 6 other drops of different colors: Purple, blue, light orange, dark orange, red, and yellow. After that, more of these drops seem to form a humanoid shape. However, the persons features were not and was only golden. That is, until the crosswalk light changed and the STOP turned into WALK…
"EXCUSE ME-PARDON ME! LATE FOR A VERY IMPORTANT DATE!" Michael's voice came, but then he appeared running on the scene, and then darted into the street using the crosswalk.
"HEY!"
"Slow down, kid!"
Of course some people complained about this, not that he cared at the moment. 'Ugh! Kotori's gonna fry me!' He mentally complained, as he was running late to the concert. Right as Michael ran toward the center of the crosswalk, time seemed to slow down, and thats when the being was truly revealed…
It was a young girl with long blond hair and deep pink eyes. She has a ponytail tied on her right side and wearing a white sailor uniform. She also wore decorative gold earrings with a small pink and blue sphere attached to the accessory. She was very pretty.
Despite this… no one seemed to notice her, and she turned her head to watch Michael run past her as time resumed…
Michael didn't know why but he gasped… something felt off to him, something pulling at his core, but couldn't figure it out. When he got to the other side of the crosswalk, he looked behind him… people gave him looks, but that's not the exact reason why he turned around. It felt like he was being watched. Seeing as nothing was there, he decided to ignore it and continued running.
Strangely, that mysterious girl was no longer there…

Thankfully Mikey was right on time, and joined the other Spirits on the catwalk to watch the show. They of course had their own sets of glow sticks like everyone else below. Even Aii, Mai, Mii, Miss Tamae and Hiroto were in the crowd.
Kurumi was absent… gone again, Michael presumed. Not that she was invited mind you. Being technically eaten for a few minutes was probably a turn off…
The show was about to began, Miku coming out on stage dressed in an orange outfit that had a matching sunflower in her head in the same spot where she usually keeps her moon accessory in Spirit Mode. She also had one on her neck but on the opposite side. It was both cute and sexy, Michael could not lie, especially considering Miku's voluptuous figure.
A small instrumental played before…
Miku: Are you ready, Sweet Sweet Heart?
Be Ready, Be Ready, Sweet Sweet Heart!
Miku: I'm ready, Sweet Sweet Heart.
She is ready to fall in love!
Miku: With you!
As the instrumental plays, Miku walks out to wave at her adoring fans. Many people were following along with the beat by shaking their glow sticks. Tohka and the others did so too, but she happened to notice that Michael was not shaking his sticks as enthusiastically as everyone else which caused her to stop shaking her own. He also had a plain face on despite being a Miku fan.
"Michael? What's wrong? I thought you liked Miku's music?" She asked the Spirit Sealer, having to raise her voice a little bit so he could hear her question over the loud music, but low enough so only the two of them could hear it.
He did not respond right away, making Tohka think he did not hear her, but he did respond after three seconds. "… its not that I don't, but…" He said, then used his glow sticks to point down to the crowd of the Pop Idol's performance. "They think she's talking to them…"
Tohka did not understand and looked at Michael questioningly, but that's when the instrumental ended and the song continued with Miku singing.
"Running barefoot across the beach… the dancing waves found something…"
"Something brighter than the sun…"
"A smile, by surprise, your skips a beat for the Summer Girl!"
Michael: (mutters with two fingers on a temple) Yeah, It did.
"Her skin is a little tan…"
"Your hand moves slowly toward her on its own…"
"Your feeling brave today… could it be the heat?"
Michael pinched the bridge of his nose and shook his head very lightly as this point, having nearly enough. Tohka looked back and forth between Michael and the Diva, still somewhat confused.
"Can't take your eyes off her… sweat trailing down your back…"
"Inching closer to each other, aching for something to drink!"
Tohka knew she was a bit dense on some things, that she could not deny, but was always trying her best to understand the human world and all the new things she'd see and discover… that being said, those last two lyrics…
Yeah… she got it now. And the next lyrics only confirmed it.
"Mixed juice of sweet love, a special flavor for the summer, how can I make it better!"
"Go, Summer Girl! I'll show you my secret magic!"
"A hint of sweet sweet sugar, kiss… kiss."
With THAT last lyric, while she was blowing a kiss to the audience using two fingers, her eyes were darted up almost seductively to the catwalk. Mike did feel his heart skip a beat from it even though he kind of expected it when the song first started. He and Tohka sweatdropped from it.
And if the previous lyrics weren't enough proof for Tohka… now she definitely got it.
Miku: Are you ready, Sweet Sweet Heart?
Be Ready, Be Ready, Sweet Sweet Heart!
Miku: I'm ready, Sweet Heart!
She is ready, Summer Girl!
The song concluded at that point, Miku waving to her fans as a cutesy way of saying thanks who were cheering loudly for her performance and even cheering her name. She even winked a few times.
Up on the catwalk, Kaguya was going a little overboard with waving her glow sticks around, having enjoyed the show that much. Yuzuru watched her with little to no emotion on her face. Kotori and Yoshino, while they did enjoy the show themselves, glanced at each other from Miku's actions earlier on in the performance. Yohsinon was still waving his glow stick though.
As for Michael and Tohka, they both did the exact same heavy sigh at the same time.
TO BE CONTINUED…
