YEARS AGO BACK IN UNIVERSE 7:

Bone sat on the ground meditating with a figure in front of him, "You cannot hope to become stronger if you do not rest and calm your mind." The figure said. Bone on the other hand was not having it. He had rested enough in his mind why did he have to keep doing this one singular task it made no sense to him.

"Master why do I have to resort to such a meaningless task?! I'm a fighter, not a guru!" Bone stated angrily. Even with the irritation in his voice the figure would just smile and lean down to Bone to get close and eventually, he sat down right in front of him with a massive thud hitting the ground. Then off came a turtle shell and the figure which was an old man now looked at him.

"A fighter must know how to fight all battles not just the physical. If you let your opponent win the mental or spiritual victory how much did you win? Losing control of yourself means you've lost" Asked the old man.

PRESENT DAY AT CADMUS

Bone touched the pod. He needed to wait for the others to see this and sure enough, here they came. The others were not far behind him. Bone looked at the computer panel, but he ignored it instead he grabbed onto the side of the pod, he pulled off the front hexagonal panel, and threw it away. As he did so the others came running into the room and closed the door. Bone instantly turned to look back at the others that ran in, "What's going on out there?" He asked.

"We've been caught...Who's that?" Kid Flash would ask Bone.

"I have no clue...We need to leave..." As Bone was speaking the horns of the little imps would glow red and a fist would strike Bone in the lower jaw something he wasn't prepared for, and Bone was sent far into the ceiling unconscious. If he was prepared the strike probably wouldn't have moved him and now, he just laid there out colder than ice.

LATER THAT EVENING

Bone would wake up in a bit of a daze as he saw the others talking to the guy who clocked him out. Someone was talking to him mentally but he couldn't figure out who. It took a minute for Bone to figure out what was going on. Everyone else seemed to be awake and Aqua lad was currently supporting him. All Bone could remember was an intense shocking pain but nothing he could do about it. Why was everyone else able to move around but not him? Bone tried to lift his head, but he couldn't something was wrong it felt like he couldn't move his body at all his eyes were getting heavy again, and soon they were closed.

As Aqualad pulled Bone from the shackles he noticed an IV had been attached to Bone's arm something that wasn't attached to him and the others. No doubt because his physiology as a Kryptonian required them to load him with sedatives to make sure he wasn't an issue what was strange though was these sedatives were at least two times weaker than what should be given to a Kryptonian. Something wasn't quite right why was so much less being used on Bone than what would be needed to knock out Superman? It probably had to do with his age and height was all Aqualad could reason.

Aqualad slung Bone over his shoulder and he was instantly hit with the entire weight of Bone's limp body, "What are you made from?" He asked himself. That was when he felt something weird about Bone's waist. The furry belt that he normally wore wasn't flat and it seemed to connect to his tailbone.

Bone could hear Aqualad but he couldn't respond and he couldn't move his body. The most he could do right now was move his fingers but that was taking a lot of effort to do. Bone heard everything the argument and the talking down of Superboy. This was starting to get surreal. It was when they started moving that he began to get some of his functions back. He was able to flex his arms now but to Aqualad, it would be almost negligible; however, which was a good thing at this point considering they were now at a dead end.

It wouldn't be long before Bone could feel his body being pushed into an air vent after something Robin had said. Bone would lose consciousness once again whatever this wonder drug was it most certainly was running its course on Bone's body. Eventually Bone would feel his body hit the ground in a thud causing him to give a faint, "Oof. Watch it." He said.

Everyone looked to Bone as he spoke, "Well glad to hear we have another powerhouse even if he is sort of a vegetable at the moment." Said Kid Flash. As they helped Bone to his feet which he was still trying to regain his ability to walk Robin had managed to hack the motion sensors to throw their captors off their backs at least for the time being.

Running through the halls they would veer into a stairwell with Bone being supported by Aqualad as the others pushed forward. Channeling his ki into his eyes Bone was able to mimic heat vision to push away several of the genomes that were chasing them up the stairwell. That was when he could feel it in his body he could walk on his own again and now he could run if he wanted to as well. He wasn't at full strength but this would suffice for now.

Bone was working in tandem with Superboy to make sure they couldn't be followed but as they cleared stairway to stairway the team would be pushed into a hall that would lead them to be cornered by various Genomes and the hero Guardian. Bone could feel something was going on between Superboy and what appeared to be the leader of the creatures but that was all cut short when the man who was in a lab coat leading this whole operation appeared. Bone immediately felt something go wrong but he could also feel something else. There was something invisible here no it was someone. His ki sense may not have been the best compared to when he's not on drugs but he could feel them and it was a worry some familiar.

His thoughts would be torn away from him though as he looked at the beast that stood in front of him and his friends, "We're f-." Was all he managed to get out before the beast had smacked away Guardian and tackled Superboy and Bone through the ceiling. Bone could feel every part of his body burning from this tackle. Without being able to properly put up his Ki defenses Bone was feeling this a lot more than he normally would. Bone would crash down onto the floor with his stomach on the ground. At that moment he sensed something familiar it was dark and powerful he knew who this was but Bone couldn't bring himself to believe it the only person that transported with him was Mira and that one other guy who Bone hadn't seen in a while more importantly though this person was supposed to be dead.

Bone did what he could to pick himself back up he knew she was around here somewhere she had to be if he was sensing her right? Bone was taken out of his shock when he heard the creature scream behind him as it charged. He barely had enough time to react and get himself out of the way by jumping over the thing. Getting a good look at this monster Bone's eyes widened he was right and what pissed him off was the fact she wasn't even trying to hide her presence from him. The purple glow was all over this creature, which explained why he was getting stronger and faster each moment. Bone needed to get serious he could see the others fighting but any plan they had about taking out the pillars wasn't going to work. The monster would just power through it. Bone had to power up, "AHHHHHHHHHH!" He shouted as a burst of energy was forced out of him which caught the attention of Auqalad who narrowed his eyes. That wasn't something a Kryptonian could do.

Bone charged at the monster at a speed fast enough that even Kid Flash was having trouble keeping up with him. Bone threw a rock-solid punch onto the beast's jaw followed by Superboy sending a punch to the monster's stomach which caused it to land on its back, "TAKE OUT THE SUPPORT NOW!" Bone shouted and he climbed onto the beast to start pummeling it. Each strike was a small shock wave that was meant to keep the monster on the ground. As he attacked the monster Bone whispered, "Kioken!" boosting the power of each strike and he kept going as every pillar was brought down. Bone waited till the last microsecond to get off the beast. Though he would still be covered in rubble.

Bone after a minute of just laying there so he could release some of his stress by laying on the ground stood himself up, "Holy Cannoli that was a lot to deal with he said to himself." Bone seemed to be a bit away from the others so he decided to take advantage of this moment to lift himself in the air to sense and look around. He felt the energy she had to be around here. Pushing his senses out as far as he could Bone gritted his teeth and tried some more. He was suspended in mid-air for almost 20 minutes if it wasn't for Superman grabbing his shoulder, "Is everything okay?" He would ask.

"No there was something no someone here who I know and it's not a good sign. Clark, I need to come out to the team. They need to know what I am and who I am. Hiding things will only get us killed and create animosity." Bone said as he looked forward doing his best not to look to the moon. Bone eventually landed and walked over to the group unsure of what would happen next but he had to trust them with his most important secret and his past
