Summary: (AU Story) Certain events trigger certain reactions. Such an event triggers his chance to become a shinobi of Konoha. The Shinobi world is a rough place, but he is prepared, and he will fight to protect what is precious to him.

Naruto blocked 2 punches from his opponent and quickly rotated once and used the momentum to attack his opponent with a powerful kick. His opponent blocked the strong kick by using both hands and catching the foot. Due to the force of the kick, he slid backwards several meters across the floor and stopped again a few meters later. Naruto went back into a basic stance and looked closely at his opponent.
He analyzed the hand signs that his opponent was doing and recognized this jutsu immediately. If you lived in the land of fire, you should know this jutsu.
"Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu!" (Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu) His opponent put his hand in front of his mouth in a C formation and unleashed a huge ball of fire from his mouth that headed straight for Naruto.
Naruto jumped sideways and landed on a log. He then jumped straight at his opponent and found him already going through a new series of hand signs. Naruto arrived early enough to interrupt his opponent.
Naruto did a right spin kick, hitting his opponent in the side. His opponent flew back and had to clench his teeth. He hadn't thought Naruto was that fast. He couldn't parry the kick, though he tried to raise his arm and parry the kick.
He tried making hand signs again, but Naruto reappeared in front of him and engaged him in hand-to-hand combat. Naruto performed a punch combo, targeting his right shoulder first, then his chest, and then the other shoulder. His opponent parried the first two punches, but he couldn't parry the punch to his left shoulder. Naruto wasn't done yet and jumped up. He did a front flip, straightening his right leg. He wanted to kick his opponent, but he was able to raise both his arms and deflected the kick.
Naruto used the crossed arms as a sort of steppingstone and pushed off with his foot, performing a backflip. He landed safely and sprinted back toward his opponent.
This dance went on a few more times, with Naruto engaging the opponent in close combat and hitting him with a punch or kick once in a while.
His opponent already had a few scrapes and injuries from the powerful kicks and punches, but he didn't seem to give up. He saw an opportunity to finally use a jutsu again but didn't see Naruto suddenly disappear. He was about to do some hand signs when he felt a sharp pain in his back. Naruto had disappeared from his opponent's field of vision and then hit him right in the back with a very powerful kick. His opponent flew several meters through the air and then crashed into a tree. He flew through the tree but landed on the ground immediately afterwards. He rolled a little more over the floor and then stopped at some point. He couldn't move and just watched helplessly as Naruto loomed over him and executed a powerful downward punch.
A slight crater formed as Naruto's punch hit his opponent's body. Dust was raised and Naruto straightened up and now looked at his opponent. His opponent was unconscious and that meant the fight was over. He sighed and walked away from the body of the man he had just defeated.
He rolled his shoulder once and then looked at the sky. He saw the blue sky from the land of fire and the clouds that slowly passed over him. He had reached his goal. He already had the item he was here in this remote forest for, and that's why he was finally able to go back to Konoha. He jumped onto the nearest tree and started jumping from tree to tree.
'Only I am so lucky and meet a missing ninja while searching for a plant.' Naruto had in his backpack a rare plant that only grew in a certain canyon of the land of fire. He always wanted to have such a plant and had therefore decided to finally look for one.
On the way back to Konoha, Naruto encountered a missing ninja who was threatening some civilians who were passing through. He, of course, went right in between, luring the ninja away from the civilians.
In Konoha everything was as usual. As Naruto walked through the huge gate, he was greeted by Kotetsu and Izumo as usual.
"Hey Naruto! How was the search?" The two knew about Naruto's little search. After all, he had asked the two if he could leave the village for this purpose. Of course, the two didn't mind.
"All right, I've found the plant. I'm curious to see how long it will take for it to start growing in my garden." Although Naruto only lived in one apartment, he had a small garden in his apartment. He had converted the guest room from his apartment into a garden and since then he had a small garden in his apartment.
"Were there any incidents?"
"None that haven't already been solved." Naruto walked away leaving the two confused. The two didn't know that Naruto had trained himself to be a ninja. After all, he hadn't made it through the academy at the time due to a certain circumstance. It's been 3 years since he hadn't made it through the academy. Even during the academy, before and after, and even when he didn't make it through the academy, he had trained himself in a nearby forest. Through the knowledge of the Academy, he was able to teach himself quite a few things, and through his old books, he was also able to learn some things that one could never learn without these books.
"NARUTO!" Naruto turned and saw a familiar face. An elderly gentleman whom he often helped. The man had often helped him with wisdom and had always stood by his side with advice.
"Hi Toechi, how is your back today?"
"Since you've been massaging me once a week, I feel much younger again. I hardly have any problems with my back anymore. You have no idea how grateful I am to you for that." Toechi stood straight and did not have a slouched walk and posture like before.
Naruto smiled "Always happy Toechi. Tomorrow it's time again and I'll massage you. I hope your wife makes this delicious stew again."
Toechi laughs a little "You can be sure of that. She always makes this stew when she knows you're coming over."
The two talked a bit more and Naruto then went to his apartment. His spiky black hair swept in the wind and his blue eyes focused on the path ahead. (A/N Hairstyle of Menma Uzumaki from Road to Ninja). He was wearing brown pants and black sandals. The pants ended in bandages that were between the pants and the sandals. Bandages were visible on his right thigh, as were on so many others. He wore a gray shirt with short sleeves and a rolled-up collar. The shirt also had a V-neck. A necklace in the shape of a tomoe could be seen in the neckline, and arm guards were usually seen on his forearms with a long metal plates and black cloth. He wasn't wearing these at the moment because he wasn't training. He always wore these when he was training. (A/N Shira's outfit from Naruto Shippuden season 19, I slightly changed the colors of the clothes, and the shirt now has sleeves like a t-shirt).
Naruto was currently wearing exactly the same as yesterday. He also wore arm guards. He had been tending to his garden this morning and after that he headed straight for the forest with a backpack, where he always trained. He had a few hours until he had to go to Toechi today and, as always, he made full use of them.
He was currently doing push-ups in a handstand. His body descended and rose in a controlled manner, his breathing controlled. Naruto would sometimes go from the starting position to a slightly different position, tilting his body slightly to one side and raising one hand. This exercise was like a kind of meditation for Naruto, because without the necessary concentration, Naruto would just fall to the side.
After half an hour of these two exercises, which he alternated from time to time, he pushed off and landed on both of his feet. He felt himself being watched and he looked around carefully. Through the long and hard training, his 6th sense was also sharpened over time.
He didn't see anyone, meaning the person watching him was pretty good at hiding. While he could sense that he was being watched, he could not sense where he was being watched from. Unfortunately, he wasn't a sensor like some ninjas. He also could not use a jutsu that would allow him to perceive chakra signatures. He was completely dependent on his senses. That meant he was limited to his eyes, nose, and ears.
However, he didn't feel any danger at the moment and that's why Naruto stayed so calm. That sense of being watched went away and Naruto didn't think much about it anymore. He stood in front of a large rock where some imprints from Naruto's previous training sessions could be seen.
He started with simple kicks, which he repeated over and over again. He kept kicking his leg against the hard rock, which had toughened him up quite a bit over the years. He felt no pain when kicking or hitting hard material.
After 2 hours you could see how Naruto was currently sitting under a tree and was meditating. He breathed in and out with concentration. He paid special attention to his breathing. He felt his lungs expand and then shrink as he breathed in and out.
By sundown, Naruto had finished his training. 'So now quickly home and then to Toechi.' Naruto put the water bottle back in his backpack and resealed it. He then put it on and ran towards his apartment.
As Naruto ran between the trees, he noticed the absence of animals here in the forest. He would usually see animals while he was working out and then run back to his apartment afterwards.
He wondered if a predator was nearby. It happened before that a tiger got lost in this forest. This tiger actually resided in the Forest of Death, which was not far from Naruto's current location.
He made a small detour and wanted to confirm his assumption. So, he jumped onto the next tree and started jumping from tree to tree. After a few minutes he came to a small clearing. He landed on top of it, and just as he did, he had to jump sideways to avoid a wolf's attack. Naruto landed a few meters away from the wolf. 'So, it really was another animal from the forest of death.' Naruto didn't have much time left, so he vanished and appeared right next to the wolf. He smacked the wolf on the neck with a backhand smack, knocking him out. Naruto sighed and took the motionless wolf and disappeared with him towards the Forest of Death.
When Naruto got to the forest, he jumped over the fence and slowly laid the wolf down on the ground. He then jumped over the fence again and hurried to get to Toechi in time.
Naruto got to his apartment pretty quickly and took a shower very quickly and then dressed exactly the same as before. However, these clothes were a new pair. He'd even put his armguards back on. He had several sets of his clothes. When he was done with everything, he went straight out of his apartment and then headed towards Toechi's house, which was near the Yamanaka store. He's been there a few times to get a plant or new props to take care of his flowers etc.
He was walking down the streets at a relatively fast pace and saw a familiar face. "Naruto!" A cheerful younger voice spoke up.
Naruto smiled and crouched down to be level with the person in front of him. "Hey Princess, how are you today?"
"Great! Grandma baked me cookies again and now we're going for ice cream!" The little girl in front of him told what she had already experienced today with her grandmother. Naruto hugged her from time to time because the little one was very important to him. Her name was Kyoko Kobayashi, and she was 5 years old. He once saved her from a horde of boys and after that the little girl just wouldn't leave her "big brother's" side. Naruto took to the little one pretty quickly and he did something with her once a week. Today he only met her by chance, but the day after tomorrow he wanted to take her to the park again and play with her there or just look after her. Kyoko's parents and grandparents all knew Naruto and liked him. Unfortunately, Kyoko's father had already passed away and she always lacked a male person to look up to, and through Naruto someone like that had entered her life.
He said goodbye to Kyoko and her grandmother and then went on to Toechi. When he got to the house he knocked and didn't have to wait long because after just a few seconds Toechi opened the door with a warm smile.
"Hello Naruto, come in." Naruto bowed slightly and walked into the house. "How are you, my boy? I hope you haven't tried too hard with your training?" Toechi knew about Naruto's training, he had at least seen him training once.
"No, I'm fine Toechi. Let's see how your back is today." Naruto and Toechi went into a room where were a special couch. There Toechi laid down on it and took off his shirt shortly before. Naruto began to feel his back and felt a tightness in his lower back.
2 hours later, Naruto came out of Toechi's house again. "Thanks for the massage, Naruto. See you next week then."
"Of course, Toechi. Don't make any more efforts today." So, Naruto walked away. It was already dark and that meant he was about to enjoy a beautiful sight. But first he had to get something and pay someone a visit.
He rounded a few corners and then stood in front of the Yamanaka flower shop.
He walked in and was greeted by a familiar face. "Ah hello Naruto. What can I do for you today?" Inoichi Yamanaka was behind the counter, smiling at Naruto. He had known Naruto for a long time. After all, Naruto was in the same class as his daughter in the past. He found it a pity that Naruto hadn't managed to graduate from the academy. Naruto was someone who always gave his all.
"I wanted to buy a bouquet of flowers. I'm visiting my parents again." Naruto smiled slightly sadly and took a bouquet of flowers and placed them on the table where Inoichi entered a few items at the register.
Inoichi got the money from Naruto and put it in the register. "Say hello to your parents." Of course, he knew about the death of Naruto's parents. He had personally learned from Naruto what and when his parents died.
"Thanks, Inoichi, I'll pass on your greetings to them." Naruto took the bouquet and walked out of the shop. He jumped onto the nearest roof and didn't notice the perplexed look Inoichi just had on his face. This was the first time he had seen Naruto move like a ninja from a standing position. He wasn't aware of Naruto's abilities, although you could tell by looking at him. However, there were also some civilians who were quite muscular, but still didn't know how to do something that only shinobi could do. He thought that after leaving the academy, Naruto would become a normal civilian. Apparently, Naruto had continued to train himself or he had been trained by someone.
'Did Naruto become a shinobi recently? I need to talk to Shikaku about it.' Inoichi went to the shop door and locked the shop. It was enough for today and their closing time was reached.
'Now first a nice hot bath.' With this in mind, he walked from the shop to the apartment, which was accessible via a flight of stairs.
Naruto walked the streets of Konoha towards the graveyard where both of his parents were buried. When he stood in front of the grave a few minutes later, he had already laid the bouquet on the grave. He held the necklace around his chest with one hand and he had his eyes closed.
"Hello Mom. Hello Dad. As I promised, I continue to train every day to be able to protect myself. I've gotten stronger over the last few years, and I've been able to acquire all the knowledge through the old books from the Academy, what I need to be able to compete against other shinobi. I would like to be able to hear and talk to you both again." Naruto opened his eyes and sadly looked down at the grave. "I miss you guys; I hope you can bear with me. I'll need a little more time before I can join you."
He smiled as he thought of Toechi and Kyoko. "I massaged Toechi again, and then I happened to meet Kyoko. I don't know what I would do without these two. Toechi, his wife and Kyoko's whole family welcomed me warmly into their close circle, and it made me smile again ."
Naruto crouched down and pulled something out of his pocket. "I'm sorry mom, but I also started something that I'm sure you wouldn't approve of." He took something out of the box he was holding and then put the box back in his pocket. He took a lighter from his other pocket and lit the cigarette he had in his mouth. He drew on it once and then blew out the smoke again.
He smiled slightly. "You always told me to enjoy the moment and I do that. I always eat enough and make sure the people close to me are okay."
"I fought a shinobi yesterday and won against him. I just hope that the two travelers got to their destination unharmed. The shinobi attacked 2 travelers and I went between them."
Naruto just imagined how his mother would scold him and laughed lightly. "There is also some great news from Sunagakure. The Kazekage is said to have been kidnapped by an organization called Akatsuki. Two teams from our village were able to rescue the Kazekage, so Suna and Konoha's relations have become much better."
"Can you believe Kasumi Uzumaki was a part of those teams? You know, the person who used to pull all the pranks in class back then? I haven't seen her in years, but she's said to have gotten pretty strong. She has been away more than 2 years and was training with a very strong shinobi."
Naruto took another puff on his cigarette, thinking back to the conversation he had with Toechi about where he got the information from. An acquaintance of Toechi lived in Sunagakure, and through this acquaintance, Toechi knew about it.
"I'll visit Kyoko and her family again the day after tomorrow. I'm looking forward to spending time with Kyoko again. She's the little sister I never had."
After that, Naruto remained silent and just dragged on his cigarette and blew the smoke out into the world. Naruto heard footsteps after 2 minutes and when he looked over his shoulder he was amazed. There were 2 people standing in front of him. One was Tsunade Senju, the fifth Hokage and the other person was Shizune, Tsunade's assistant. (A/N they wear exactly the same as usual)
Naruto looked back at his parents' grave and dragged on his cigarette again. He certainly wouldn't dare to speak to the Hokage if they were at a graveyard. 'She will most likely pay her respects to her grandfather.' The two also walked past Naruto and stood in front of the First Hokage's huge tomb.
Naruto was still in a crouch as he dragged on his cigarette again. He blew smoke into the air and then straightened up again. "I'll be leaving for now. I'll see you both again soon. I love you." Naruto turned and started walking away.
As he was walking through the gate of the graveyard, he heard a voice. "Hello."
Naruto stopped in his tracks and turned around. There in front of him was Shizune, who had a smile on her face. "A good day." Naruto bowed slightly and when he stood up again, Tsunade Senju suddenly stood next to Shizune.
"We overheard the conversation you had with your parents. I'm sorry." Tsunade Senju knew what it was like to lose someone important.
Naruto smiled slightly and looked up at the sky and then back at the Hokage. "Thank you, Lady Hokage. I am honored to speak with you."
Tsunade smiled slightly. She would never have thought that she would accidentally meet the cause of the little mystery. An Anbu team brought a missing ninja back to the village today. However, he was unconscious and had some wounds that were inflicted on him by blunt force. Tsunade couldn't figure out which ninja would first fight a missing ninja but then leave his body there. It would not have been surprising if the missing ninja had died. After all, the renegade's head would be enough to collect the reward for him. For every missing ninja had a reward, no matter how small.
"You said something about your training. I'd like to talk to you about it privately in my office." Shizune was curious who Naruto was. She had also overheard him telling his late parents about how he fought a shinobi yesterday.
Naruto bowed, "Of course, Lady Hokage."
"Very well, then follow me." Tsunade and Shizune walked past Naruto and Naruto followed them both. The graveyard was right near the Hokage building, so it was only a short hop to Tsunade's office.
Naruto was now standing in the middle of Tsunade's office. In front of him, Tsunade was sitting at her desk with a file in front of her. This was Naruto's old file from the academy. His previous grades and achievements were noted there.
Tsunade was quite surprised that Naruto had such good grades and achievements. In the theoretical part he was the best in his class and in Taijutsu as well. In the shuriken and kunai, his performances were also among the top 5 students. Only his achievements in ninjutsu and genjutsu were virtually non-existent. He'd always gotten the worst grades in those areas.
"Can you explain to me what your grades are all about?" Tsunade looked Naruto in the eye and didn't have to wait long.
"My abilities in ninjutsu and genjutsu are very limited. That's why I didn't pass the academy at the time because I failed the ninjutsu and genjutsu phase of the exam." Naruto closed his eyes for a moment and then opened them again. He looked briefly disappointed in himself but was professional again after that.
"I understand." Tsunade could now understand why Naruto hadn't made it through the academy. It seemed that Naruto wasn't spotted by a certain Jonin. It was the same with Rock Lee back then. Rock Lee would not have made it through the academy if Maito Gai had not put in a good word for his student. Naruto apparently wasn't that lucky and hadn't even tried to take the exam a second and third time.
"So, you've been training yourself with the books from the academy over the last few years?" Shizune was quite surprised that besides Rock Lee there was someone who couldn't use ninjutsu and genjutsu. Even Maito Gai could use ninjutsu, such as the Kuchiyose no Jutsu (Summoning Jutsu). Rock Lee would never be able to do such a jutsu, just like Naruto.
"Right, I was already concentrating on my Taijutsu during my time in the academy and practicing it for hours every day. In the academy I concentrated on the theoretical part and on the abilities to use chakra, for example to stick to surfaces to stay. In my free time, I almost only focused on improving my Taijutsu. After I left the academy, I divided my training. I divided my training into 2 parts. In the first part, I repeated everything that I studied in the academy and in general everything related to the academy and in the second part I continued to train my taijutsu and after I finished the first part completely, I focused my training completely on my taijutsu. I created a few techniques because I couldn't use ninjutsu and genjutsu." Naruto finished his narration and was surprised that the two women in the room looked quite content and not surprised. After all, he had just said that he had developed new techniques.
"Would it be a problem for you to show us how good you've gotten?" Tsunade would like to know what a potential shinobi of hers could do. According to his grades in his academy, he was quite accomplished and had a clear mind. Not like some other ninja who just rushed into battle without a plan.
"Whenever you wish Lady Hokage." Naruto bowed slightly at this. He had slight hopes that he might still be able to become a shinobi after all.
"Very good. An Anbu will come to you tomorrow and let you know when and where we will hold the little test." Tsunade already had an opponent in mind that would be perfect for testing Naruto's abilities. She could use this distraction at the moment, after all the old warmonger came to her today and got on her nerves extremely.
"Understood."
"You can go then Naruto. Thanks for the little chat." Tsunade placed the file on her desk.
"It was my honor, Lady Hokage." Naruto bowed slightly and then left the room. As he closed the door behind him, Shizune looked at Tsunade.
"He's quite an interesting young man." Shizune was referring to the fact that someone kept working on themselves. Many would have simply given up in Naruto's situation and become normal civilians. Not Naruto. He had continued to work on himself the whole time and improved what he could on himself. With this attitude, he reminded of a certain person who led Tsunade to become the Hokage back then.
Tsunade smiled slightly and just nodded, "You're right Shizune." She felt the will of fire in Naruto, which also burned so strongly in many of her shinobi. Naruto wasn't even a shinobi and maybe didn't even know the will of fire and yet Tsunade sensed it very strongly in Naruto.
Naruto didn't expect to meet the Hokage. He originally wanted to look at one of the stone faces of the Hokage and the village from there. At night the view from up there was amazing. Naruto didn't have time for that today and postponed this venture to another day. After all, he should go to bed and sleep slowly. It was pretty late.
"Naruto, come on!" Kyoko waved at Naruto who approached Kyoko with a smile.
"I'm already here!" Naruto was just on his way to the park with Kyoko, where the two wanted to pass the time. There was also a playground there, where he liked to play with her.
When he got to her, Kyoko happily hopped next to Naruto. "So princess, what would you like to do first? Do you want to go to the playground first or do you want to do something else?"
"Playground!" Kyoko had long brown hair and blue eyes. They are very similar to Naruto's and that's why you could actually think that the two were siblings.
Naruto and Kyoko rounded a corner and walked on without a care in the world. Due to the location of Kyoko's house, he and she had to cross some side streets to get to the park.
Naruto played with Kyoko in the park for the next few hours. He would take her on his shoulders and sometimes even jump over the rooftops with her. He did this because he made a small secret pact with Kyoko. He's doing this thing to her, and she had to promise him not to tell her family about it.
Kyoko had a lot of fun doing it and of course she had promised her dearest big brother not to tell her family about it. In addition to this activity, the two had gone out to eat, and of course Kyoko had chosen where the two had eaten.
The two were just on their way back from the park. They spent the last hour there at the playground and Naruto had, among other things, pushed her on the swing. He had also played with her quite normally in the sand.
All in all, Kyoko had a lot of fun and really didn't want this day to end. "Do you have to go again?" Kyoko looked sad as the two stood in front of Kyoko's house.
Naruto crouched in front of her and stroked her head with his hand "Hey Princess, I'll be back next week, I promise."
Kyoko just nodded and hugged her big brother. Naruto returned the hug, wishing he could always keep her safe.
When Kyoko was inside, Naruto jumped onto the nearest roof and looked at the sky. The sun was still setting and that meant he still had time. He thought about going to some more training. He hadn't gotten around to it yet and through his restaurant visit with Kyoko he had already eaten. He jumped towards his apartment to get his armguards. He wore the same as always, only he didn't have his arm guards on at the moment. He got to his apartment fairly quickly and pulled on his arm guards, which he kept on the dresser in the hall. Then he went straight out of the apartment and closed the door behind him.
He jumped onto the nearest roof and landed there. He had also put on his two ninja pouches. One was attached to his right thigh and the other over his hips. In the two pouches were shuriken, kunai and other things. He didn't know what it was, but the sunset looked bleak. He didn't know how to describe it. He just had the impression that something was going to happen today. Nothing good, that much was clear.
He would stay alert and with that thought he jumped towards the forest where he always trained. Some would wonder where Naruto got the shuriken and kunai from. He was just a normal civilian, after all. A friend of his lived in the land of iron and that's where he got all the kunai and shuriken. Naruto once saved a couple of blacksmiths from wild animals while looking for a plant outside of the village. After that he talked to them a bit and made friends with all the blacksmiths pretty quickly. One of the blacksmiths was from the Land of Iron and he had done Naruto a favor as a thank you, with Naruto asking him to send him shuriken and kunai. Naruto didn't think there would be so many. He had received several scrolls from a courier ninja, each containing several sets of shuriken and kunai.
In other words, he wouldn't have to worry about shuriken or kunai for now. He'd had enough of that, at least given his current situation. Since he hardly used them, he would get by with them for a very long time. But if he were to become a shinobi and carry out missions, for example, he wouldn't be able to do that for very long. It would depend, of course, on what kind of mission he was going on. However, if he was a shinobi, he could just go to a shinobi shop and buy new kunai and shuriken.
Naruto stopped on a roof, noticing something out of the corner of his eye. He felt a pair of eyes on him, and he also saw the person watching him. It was an Anbu with long black hair and a weasel mask. She was in a crouch on a pole and looked closely at Naruto. Naruto could see the normal Anbu uniform and the long black hair that reached down to the Anbu's lower back and was tied in a braid.
Naruto narrowed his eyes when he heard something behind him. He ducked, and just in time. A tantō just missed Naruto's hair as it swept over him. Naruto rolled forward and jumped off the roof. He saw another Anbu, also wearing the normal Anbu uniform. But he wore a raven mask. His shaggy black hair was also visible. Naruto saw another glow of red behind the Anbus' mask. He looked over his shoulder and saw the Anbu still watching him. He just peeked into one of the holes in her mask and out of nowhere appeared a huge beast in the shape of a giant fox with 9 tails. Naruto narrowed his eyes and jumped off the roof. 'This is a genjutsu and what a genjutsu.' Naruto quickly made a hand seal, thinking 'Kai!'. The monster disappeared and the house that had just been destroyed by the monster was now whole again.
He twisted in mid-air and drew a kunai from his holster. He parried a swing from the tantō. He and the Anbu with the raven mask engaged in a rather ferocious hand-to-hand combat in the air. Naruto used his kunai to block the Anbus' tantō and attacked more with his body himself.
Yellow sparks were often seen when the kunai hit the Anbu's tantō. Naruto punched out as he blocked the Anbu's tantō. The Anbu caught Naruto's fist and swung his Tantō horizontally to cut off Naruto's head.
Naruto did something that surprised both Anbu. Naruto just dropped his kunai and grabbed the arm holding the tantō at an increased speed. Naruto wasn't done with that though, as he kicked the Anbu against his chest armor. The Anbu suddenly disappeared in a flickering motion and appeared in the air behind Naruto. Naruto twisted his body sideways, dodging an attack from the Anbus. Naruto and the Anbu both landed on a roof and jumped back a bit. The Weasel Mask Anbu appeared next to the Raven Mask Anbu. Naruto landed in a crouch and straightened up.
He saw the Anbu with the weasel mask raise her hand to the level of her mouth and suddenly unleashed a massive ball of fire from her mouth. Naruto's eyes widened. He was standing on a house where civilians were inside. He definitely needed to fend off that jutsu and protect the house! He jumped towards the fireball. The two Anbu widened their eyes from behind their masks as they saw what Naruto was doing.
The two Anbu's plan was to see what Naruto would do. The fireball would have dissipated on its own before the fireball hit the building. However, Naruto seemed to have a different plan.
Naruto performed an upward kick in the air and out of nowhere a sort of white tornado appeared around him, enclosing him. The two Anbu only saw with their eyes how Naruto was surrounded by the fireball. They didn't see the white tornado forming around Naruto.
There was a small explosion in the air and a cloud of black smoke formed. Naruto came flying out of the black smoke and landed on a nearby roof. Naruto seemed unharmed.
'If I hadn't used my modified Konoha Ryūjin (Leaf Dragon God) I would have taken quite a bit of damage. I have to lure them both away from here or civilians could get caught in the crossfire.' With that in mind, Naruto jumped from roof to roof in the direction of the training grounds.
The two Anbus followed him, relieved that he was unharmed. However, both also wondered how Naruto had survived the fireball unscathed.
Some residents were startled by the small explosion in the air. Everyone wondered what that was. However, when they saw nothing, they went about their business again.
Naruto felt how the two Anbu were still close on his heels and that's how Naruto wanted it too. He wondered where the other ninjas were though. He hadn't seen a single ninja since the fight began. He was hoping to get some help. He knew himself that he would never be able to beat these two Anbu in his life.
Naruto eventually arrived at the training grounds. However, he first jumped into the trees of one of the many forests that were on the training grounds. He wanted to be even further away from the village, after all these two Anbus could also be ninjas from other villages.
He jumped into a clearing and slid a little on the ground and looked around carefully. The two Anbu also jumped out of the forest and landed a bit away from Naruto and just looked at him silently.
Naruto got into a basic stance and the Anbu with the raven mask unsheathed his tantō again. The Anbu with the weasel mask just stood still and didn't move.
The anbu's tantō with the raven mask suddenly burst into flames. The flames seemed to rage like an inferno and Naruto narrowed his eyes at the sight. He clenched a fist with one hand and gripped into his pouch over his hip with the other. He seemed to grab something that was in the pouch. However, he had not yet shown what he had grabbed there.
The Anbu just disappeared and appeared in front of Naruto. Naruto pulled his hand out of the pouch, blocking the momentum of the tantō. The Anbu with the weasel mask was amazed when Naruto had a trench-knife on his right fist and surrounded this knuckle knife with chakra. (A/N Asuma's trench knife) This was clearly the Taijutsu technique Hien (Flying Swallow). She wouldn't have thought that Naruto himself could do such a Taijutsu. In hindsight, it shouldn't surprise her. She had been roughly explained Naruto's abilities and that he could do more Taijutsu techniques than a normal shinobi didn't really surprise her when she thought about it more closely.
Naruto took advantage of the brief moment and pushed the tantō aside with his trench-knife. At the same time, Naruto thrusting his other hand forward, trying to punch the Anbu against his mask. After all, it would be nice to know who's after Naruto. So, he could at least assign a face to the attacker. If he survived this, he could tell the Hokage afterward.
However, the Anbu parried the punch with his free hand and then immediately executed a turning kick from the right. Naruto jumped over the kick and twisted his body sideways in mid-air to avoid a swing of the tantō. He could feel the heat of the flames emanating from the tantō. He would be doing himself a favor by not getting hit by those flames.
He got into a certain fighting stance, lowering his body slightly and putting one leg back. The trench-knife was always in a defensive position in case the raven masked Anbu should just appear out of nowhere in front of Naruto again.
'Rankyaku!' (Tempest Kick) He made a quick kick and at first nothing seemed to happen. But after Naruto did the kick, a wind blade suddenly shot through the air and raced towards the Anbu with the raven mask on it. The Anbu with the raven mask disappeared in time in a flickering motion, dodging the wind blade. The wind blade kept flying and hit some branches of a tree, which all just fell off. It looked like they had been cut off by something.
The Anbu with the weasel mask had never seen this taijutsu. She had seen exactly how Naruto did an extremely fast kick, creating a wind blade in the process. The wind blade was even real, you could see that on the tree. With a simple kick and no ninjutsu, Naruto had just created a wind blade that could really inflict laceration. She hadn't yet been able to say how dangerous it really would be to be hit by this projectile technique.
The Anbu with the raven mask was amazed when the generated wind blade was real and simply severed the thick branches of the trees. Naruto didn't use any chakra; he just did a kick. No one had ever managed to create a dangerous wind blade with a simple kick. Well, this Taijutsu wasn't performed with a simple kick. But that wasn't the point.
Naruto charged at the Anbu, leaving a small cloud of dust in his wake. The Anbu strangely made the flames disappear around his tantō and just stood by. Naruto and the Anbu engaged in a ferocious hand-to-hand combat, using more than just their limbs. The Anbu's tantō and Naruto's trench-knife also kept bouncing against each other, causing yellow sparks to appear several times.
Naruto could smell something funny in the air. He wasn't nearly as good as Kakashi Hatake or an Inuzuka, but Naruto could smell more than a normal shinobi.
Both opponents attacked at the same time with their weapons and crashed into each other again. The sparks flew briefly, but instead of moving, they both tried to push away. The tantō and trench-knife rubbed against each other, with Naruto's right arm extended and the Anbu having both hands on the hilt of his tantō.
Naruto and the Anbu looked straight into each other's eyes, Naruto only seeing black behind the mask. The Anbu with the weasel mask had figured that Naruto could match her partner when it came to sheer power. After all, Naruto was completely dependent on his Taijutsu and that's why he had trained accordingly. You saw the results in this fight.
Naruto and the Anbu jumped away and instead of charging at each other again, everyone present narrowed their eyes and stopped. Naruto smelled that weird smell again.
Out of nowhere, several kunai came flying out of the forest and everyone present jumped aside. The kunai landed on the ground and the paper bombs attached exploded.
Naruto looked to the forest and saw 5 people wearing masks and cloaks jumping out of the forest.
He really didn't see anything except the cloaks and the mask. Even the hair was hidden by the hoody of the cloak. He could still see the sandals, but otherwise only the mask.
Naruto raised his trench-knife and analyzed the situation. The two Anbu he just fought seem to perceive these 5 individuals as opponents as well. They had their eyes completely focused on the 5 people and showed no more will to attack Naruto.
Naruto appeared out of nowhere behind the weasel masked Anbu and blocked a sword slash from another opponent who appeared out of nowhere. The Anbu didn't seem surprised and just kept looking ahead. Naruto pushed the katana away slightly and turned around once and kicked the opponent away. The opponent raised both arms and blocked the kick with his arm guards. These were different from Naruto's. These were the standard armguards that every Anbu wore.
However, he was thrown back by the raw power of the kicks. The opponent landed and jumped back. He seemed to disappear back into the forest.
The Anbu behind Naruto had meanwhile drawn her katana herself and was ready. All opponents drew kunai and charged at the three. Naruto started to say something quietly. "I will cause confusion. Seize the opportunity."
Naruto performed a special breathing while thinking 'Shichi Tenkohō: Daisan kassei!' (Seven Heavenly Breaths: Third Activation) Out of nowhere, Naruto was surrounded by yellow chakra that danced wildly around him. His hair kept twirling in all sorts of directions. His eyes went completely white, and his muscles enlarged out of nowhere and his skin was now red.
Naruto just disappeared and appeared behind one of the enemies. The opponent was not prepared for this and could not ward off the very strong blow. Naruto's punch hit the opponent's mask and broke it at the same time. As Naruto's fist dug into his opponent's skin, time seemed to slow down. Only the two Anbus, who also stormed towards the 5 opponents, saw everything with their special eyes.
The opponent's body lifted off the ground slightly and out of nowhere the opponent disappeared and reappeared several meters away, crashing into a tree and flying through it.
Naruto easily ducked under a kunai attack and just disappeared. He appeared behind the opponent and executed a powerful spin kick. The enemy was hit and flew away as well. This time, however, everyone could see him flying through the air. Naruto appeared from under the opponent and kicked him towards the sky.
The Anbu with the raven mask had set his tantō on fire again. He attacked one of the 3 opponents with it. The opponent jumped back and made some hand signs. The man with the raven mask grinned slightly beneath his mask, utilizing the technique for which he became so well known. He disappeared in a body flicker and appeared behind the opponent. He was able to easily avoid the lightning jutsu and this time he hit with his tantō. The opponent cried out in pain. The tantō went through the meat and bones like butter. The Anbu cut off the man's head just like that.
The Anbu with the Weasel Mask was fighting 2 opponents at the same time. She ducked under an attack from an opponent and blocked the other's kunai with her katana. She pushed the kunai away, raising her hand to her mouth. Without any hand signs or anything like that, she unleashed a massive fireball from her mouth and hit the opponent. When the fireball ended, the enemy was no longer visible.
She looked sideways and saw the hand signs performed by the last opponent. Her eyes seemed to shine and out of nowhere she repeated the hand signs that the opponent was making at an absurd speed. Both finished at the same time and said the name of the jutsu.
"Suiton: Suiryūdan no Jutsu!" (Water Style: Water Dragon Jutsu) Both voices hold briefly over the training ground. Water rose out of nowhere from 2 nearby ponds. The water took shape and at the top a dragon's head formed. Both water dragons roared, and each headed for one of the two users. However, both water dragons met in the attack and thus broke each other up.
The Anbu took advantage of the reduced field of view and disappeared from her position. She saw everything through her eyes, so she could clearly see the opponent's movements. She emerged from behind the opponent and swung her katana horizontally. The opponent could still duck and roll forward. He made a hand signs and tried to disappear with the Shunshin no Jutsu (Body Flicker Technique). Nothing came of it, because out of nowhere a body came flying from above and crashed into him.
While the two Anbus were fighting with their opponents, Naruto kept attacking the opponent in the air. It wasn't for nothing that he kicked his opponent towards the sky. He dove over the opponent and executed a powerful downward punch. The opponent flew back towards the ground and Naruto then disappeared again. He popped up on the ground and punched the opponent towards the sky again. He disappeared again and appeared next to the opponent and just kicked him through the air. He saw how the two water dragons collided and how the opponent was attacked by the Anbu. He disappeared and appeared directly above the opponent, kicking the opponent towards the ground. Exactly in the direction where the opponent was.
As the two opponents crashed into each other, Naruto landed next to the Anbu. A cloud of dust arose. The Anbu with the raven mask also appeared next to the two and looked through his mask at the cloud of dust.
As the cloud of dust settled, it revealed an empty crater. Naruto narrowed his eyes and saw 6 fireballs come flying out of the forest. The weasel masked Anbu turned quickly and launched her own fireball. The Anbu with the raven mask did the same, making 3 hand signs. Naruto made a fist with his hand and just punched the air. A massive stream of air came out of his fist, hitting the two fireballs and the extra oxygen made the flames bigger and stronger. All the fireballs hit each other, but the Anbu's 2 fireballs were stronger with Naruto's support.
The fireballs flew into the forest and created an explosion. Everyone's presents simply disappeared and reappeared in the forest. Naruto's appearance returned to normal. His muscles returned to normal, his skin lost the red tint, and his eyes also returned to normal.
The two Anbu looked around and couldn't see anyone. The 6 fireballs just seemed like a distraction for the attackers to get away.
Naruto exhaled and inhaled in a controlled manner. This special Taijutsu of his, which allowed him to greatly increase his physical abilities, was very taxing on the body. He always needed a moment after the application to calm his body down and get his bearings again.
"Naruto Ueda, thank you for your support. You passed the test with flying colors. Please come with us. The Hokage would like to speak to you." The impassive voice of the female Anbu rang out and Naruto had his suspicions the whole time. 'So those two really were my examiners. Didn't think the Hokage would think so highly of me.'
"Naturally." So, everyone jumped into the trees and headed towards Hokage.
Naruto just went to a pub and sat down at the bar. On his forehead you could see a black headband, which he proudly wore. It had been 2 days since he passed the test and reported back to the Hokage. Coincidentally, Naruto had done his first A-rank mission of the day.
As it turned out later, these attackers were ninjas from another village. Particularly striking were the shuriken that these ninja had with them. It was Iwagakure who invaded the land of fire and attacked the two Anbu and Naruto.
By distributing Konoha, Naruto had directly completed his first official mission and was promoted to Chunin by this act alone. He still couldn't quite believe that not only did he get an A rank mission on his first day as a shinobi, but he was also promoted to chunin. Yesterday he had to do a written test for decoration. He passed the test straight away and was officially promoted from Tsunade to Chunin again. Naruto had been given a flak-jacket but left it in the apartment for now. He liked his normal outfit the way it was. If it got colder, or if he had to leave for a mission where it was quite cold, he could imagine wearing a new outfit with the flak-jacket there. Otherwise, he stayed with his old outfit. Now that he was a shinobi, he always wore his arm guards and his two pouches all the time.
Because of his appointment, Naruto was now able to go to pubs even though he was not yet of legal age. As a shinobi, you were considered an adult no matter how old you were. Because of this, even at the age of 16, he could go into a pub without getting into trouble. He was also currently in a bar that only Chunin or Jonin could enter. Genin weren't allowed in this bar yet. Only those with the rank of Chunin were allowed to enter this pub.
The bartender walked over to Naruto and stopped short when he saw Naruto's hairstyle. The bartender shook his head and addressed Naruto "What can I get you?"
"A beer please." Naruto had heard about the drink when he was outside of the village. He had brought something to Sunagakure for Toechi and when he talked to the recipient there, he was given a beer. He drank it and found it very tasty.
However, beer was not as popular as sake. It was obvious that sake was the favorite of 99% of the people here. No matter what country, sake was the main drink when it came to alcohol.
He had tried sake himself and could understand why everyone loved to drink sake. It tasted good, but Naruto just liked beer better. He was given a beer and took a sip. He pulled something out of his pocket and put it on the bar.
He pulled a cigarette out of the pack and lit it with a lighter. Smoking was legal in this pub, as it was in so many others. An ashtray was placed in front of Naruto and Naruto thanked the bartender. He put some money on the bar and then dragged on his cigarette. He blew out the smoke and then looked around the pub.
It was quite late and that meant it was quite crowded. Strangely, there were hardly any people at the bar. All the tables were full of shinobi, who just spent their time here. Many groups could be seen, and Naruto even recognized a few Jonin. It was the Sensei from teams 8 and 10.
He turned back to the bar and took a sip of his drink. He put the beer back on the bar and then dragged on his cigarette again. Naruto just wanted to spend a relaxing evening today.
"Is this seat free?" Naruto looked away and smiled at the person. "Of course, please." Naruto pointed to the seat and then turned back to the front and took another drag on his cigarette.
"Smoking isn't exactly an advantage." The person next to him was given a bottle of sake and a bowl.
"It doesn't affect my health. Like everyone else, I put a small layer of chakra around my lungs." Naruto then drew on his cigarette again and then looked at the kunoichi next to him. Azure eyes met his blue eyes. The long blond hair was pinned up in a ponytail. She had a very attractive figure, and her purple clothes suited her perfectly.
"It's not just that aspect." She poured a sip of sake into her bowl and then drank from the bowl. Naruto took a sip of his beer at the same time and when he put it down the kunoichi had gone to a table leaving Naruto alone again.
Naruto looked over his shoulder and recognized Team 10, which consisted of Shikamaru Nara and Ino Yamanaka. The team had been missing one member for some time because the third member had resigned. Naruto didn't know the exact circumstances, but his old classmate Akimichi must have just been too good-natured. He couldn't hurt anyone and Asuma Sarutobi's team had been missing a team member for a long time.
He had to say that Ino Yamanaka had become a real beauty. In the village, the names Izumi Uchia and Kasumi Uzumaki were mostly heard. These two women, or kunoichi, were considered the most beautiful women in the village.
He hadn't even heard the name Ino Yamanaka before and he wondered why. She was damn attractive and single, as far as he knew. He turned his gaze back to the bar and thanked the bartender as he placed another beer in front of him.
'I wonder which team I'll be assigned to. I'm supposed to go to Tsunade tomorrow and they'll tell me which team I'll be put on first.' Naruto drew on his cigarette again and blew the smoke out into the room. He stubbed out the cigarette in the ashtray and then picked up his beer.
"What do you think Asuma? Wouldn't Naruto be the right replacement for your team?" Kurenai Yuhi looked over at Asuma Sarutobi while taking a sip of her drink.
Asuma took a puff from his cigarette and looked at Naruto who had just lit another cigarette. There was a meeting yesterday where Tsunade enlightened a select few Jonin on what had happened over the past few days. Among them was the incident of Naruto and the Anbu. She also introduced everyone to Naruto Ueda and gave them a rough description of his abilities.
Asuma was more than surprised that there was someone besides himself who could also use a trench-knife. So far, he was the only one who had fought with trench knives and also actively used them. A large part of his fighting style depended on his prized trench-knives.
"He would be. He would be the frontline fighter my team needs right now." Asuma drew on his cigarette again and then looked at the woman who was holding his heart in her hands.
Kurenai smiled softly at him and Asuma saw again the smile that Kurenai gave only to him personally. He took the hand of his great love in his hand and squeezed it a little.
Naruto got up from the bar and went to the bathroom for a moment. That much beer pretty quickly made someone need to use a certain thing. Naruto came back a few minutes later and then sat back down at the bar.
He ordered another beer and looked around again. He lit another cigarette and drew on it once. He looked sideways out of the corner of his eye. The bartender was talking to a woman and that's why Naruto hadn't gotten a new beer yet. He just looked ahead and continued smoking his cigarette. He just wanted to drink the last beer and then slowly go home. After all, he had to go to Tsunade tomorrow and he wanted to be fit. Too much alcohol would definitely not help.
A few minutes later Naruto walked out of the pub and shortly after that 2 familiar faces came out of the pub too. Naruto was about to leave when someone said his name. "Naruto."
Naruto turned and saw Shikamaru Nara. As always, Shikamaru wore his all-black attire over his fishnet shirt and fishnet pants. Ino Yamanaka was standing next to him.
"It's been a long time, Shikamaru." Naruto held out his hand to Shikamaru and of course he returned it. Naruto was someone who didn't annoy Shikamaru back then. Had Naruto also become a ninja, Naruto would have become the other good friend besides Choji.
"3 years." Shikamaru smiled slightly. He had been watching Naruto while he was sitting in the bar with Ino. They always met every 2 weeks in a pub and had a drink. Before Choji left the team, he was always there too.
"I heard you were the only one to become a Chunin 2 years ago. Very impressive." Shikamaru frowned and Ino laughed at the reaction.
"He was the only one who didn't want to become a Chunin." Just like back then, Ino had a very clear voice. Back in the academy, Naruto recognized that Ino was a very strong woman. Exactly the kind of woman that Shikamaru didn't like and yet this guy only managed to hang out with women like that.
Naruto had heard that Shikamaru often worked as a minder for a certain Temari while she was here in the village doing errands for Sunagakure. Like Ino, she should be very dominant, if you could put it that way. There were women who were a bit shy or more reserved and then there were women like Ino and Temari who were very assertive and pushy. The complete opposite of the previous description.
"I've already heard from Asuma that you've now also become a shinobi and a chunin straight away. Congratulations." Shikamaru yawned once, covering his mouth with his hand. Naruto got a little sweat on his forehead at the speech and the subsequent action of Shikamaru.
"Oh man..." Ino put her hand in front of her forehead and shook her head. She looked at Naruto with a charming smile "Congratulations on passing, even if you're a bit late." she stuck her tongue out slightly at the last part of the sentence.
Naruto smiled awkwardly at Ino "What can I say, it just took me a little longer."
"See you tomorrow Ino, I have to go now. Otherwise, my annoying mother will kill me." Shikamaru just walked off and just waved goodbye over his shoulder. You could clearly hear him saying something about annoying women.
"HEY!" Ino called after him with an angry expression on her face. Naruto stifled a laugh and just smiled.
"What?" Ino looked at Naruto. Her eye twitched menacingly and that told Naruto everything he needed to know. Naruto just smiled and turned around. "Nothing, I have to get going too. See you, Ino."
Ino looked after Naruto and wondered what had happened recently. She knew full well that Naruto was involved in something big. After all, Naruto was introduced to some Jonin Sensei. This was all in an explanation of an incident that was quite recent. She could gather that much from the conversation between her father and her sensei.
That aside. She couldn't believe how sexy her old classmate had gotten. He was even better looking than Sasuke. His muscular body was super-hot. One could see very well under the shirt what Naruto had received through years of training: the body of an Adonis. Ino couldn't describe it any other way. The proportions were perfect, there was neither too much nor too little muscle to be seen. Just right for her taste. His hair style was also really sexy and since she's always been attracted to men with black hair, that was just another plus in her regard.
She definitely hoped that her old classmate would join her team. She certainly didn't want Naruto to be on the forehead's and Uzumaki's team. Since Sasuke had left the village 2 1/2 years ago, there had also been a vacancy there.
It had been a long time since she had met a decent boy or man. Any guy her age just wasn't for her. She had often thought about dating someone, but it just didn't fit anyone.
She would make Naruto take an interest in her. She definitely wasn't going to lose this hottie to the Big Forehead or the Uzumaki.
Ino couldn't see Naruto anymore, so she went home by herself. At the next meeting she would make sure that he liked her.
Naruto was just tying his headband around his forehead and when that was done, he checked his gear again. He checked that he really had everything. He could feel his shuriken, kunai, and trench-knife. He sensed a few other things and when he was really sure he had everything, he started walking.
He walked around Konoha in peace. Today he was to be assigned to a team and he was curious to see which team he would be on. He had already taken care of his small garden today and that meant everything was taken care of at home.
He looked up at the sky and could see some eagles. They flew calmly over the village and eventually disappeared on the horizon. Today was a beautiful day. The temperatures were pleasant, and the weather was great too. The sun was shining and there were hardly any clouds in the sky.
Naruto closed his eyes for a moment and just enjoyed the sunbeams on his face. He opened them again after a few seconds and walked on with a smile.
After a few minutes he arrived at the Hokage building. 'I still can't quite believe it.' Naruto touched his headband with his left hand. He started to smile slightly and let his hand fall to the side of his body again.
Naruto was walking through the hallways of the building and just as he was near the Hokage's office, he heard a loud voice.
"DON'T CALL ME GRANNY!" shouted an angry voice. If Naruto didn't know better, he would attribute that voice to the Hokage.
'Who is so stupid as to call the Hokage grandma?' Naruto sweated a little as he felt a small tremor under his feet.
First, he calmly walked down the hall and then this situation. Of course, he knew the Inhuman power of Tsunade Senju. Everyone knew the stories of Tsunade Senju, the strongest kunoichi in the world. She could create a massive crater with a fist punch, which some jutsus couldn't even do. Her superhuman strength was truly terrifying.
'The person is suicidal.' Naruto couldn't explain it any other way. Whoever dared to call Tsunade Senju that was just suicidal. There could be no other explanation for it.
Naruto continued down the hallway and moments later he knocked on the door. He wasn't quite sure if he should even be here now. It could be that the Hokage could be mad at him too. One thing was known about Tsunade Senju, that in addition to her superhuman strength, she also had a very strong temper.
So, it could well be that Naruto said something and she could misinterpret it. He frowned 'Bullshit. What am I thinking?'
A second ago, Tsunade seemed to be making an announcement to someone, and the next moment, the Hokage's office went silent. Naruto didn't have to wait long to be invited inside.
He opened the door and went into the office. Naruto could see 3 people in the room besides Tsunade and Shizune. It was Kakashi Hatake's team.
"Sorry to interrupt. I hope I'm not interrupting anything?" Naruto gave a short bow as he entered the room and then looked at the Hokage.
"No, it's fine Naruto. Thanks for coming." Tsunade seemed to have calmed down and the person in the room sighed slightly with relief. Naruto recognized the long red hair immediately. From the looks of it, Kasumi Uzumaki had referred to the Hokage as Grandma.
Kasumi Uzumaki had long red hair that reached her lower back. She also had purple eyes and 3 whisker marks on each side of her cheeks. She wore a black headband tied around her forehead, with her long red hair covering most of it. She also wore a yellow haori tied with a black ribbon below the breast. The haori wasn't skintight, but you could still see her curvy body very well. She definitely had bigger breasts than Ino. With the haori she wore black shorts and high, black ninja boots. Similar to Sakura Haruno's. Two pouches for ninja tools were attached over her hips. However, these holsters were somewhat covered by the haori.
Naruto was a bit relieved, after all he didn't want to see an angry Tsunade Senju.
"Please wait a moment, we can speak immediately." Tsunade held out a file to Shizune and Shizune took the file.
Next to Kasumi were the other two members of Team Kakashi. There would be Kakashi Hatake himself and of course Sakura Haruno.
Kakashi Hatake had silver hair that stood up to the side and dark eyes. He wore his blue headband diagonally over his left eye and therefore only one eye was visible. A dark face mask covered the rest of the face. He wore the typical konoha flak-jacket and blue clothing underneath. Just like Naruto, Kakashi had one pouch fitted over his hip and one on his thigh.
Sakura Haruno had shoulder length pink hair and green eyes. She wore a red headband. She also wore a red sleeveless vest with a white circle on the back. She wore a light pink skirt with slits on the sides, front and back, and under the skirt black shorts and boots of the same color. She also wore light pink elbow pads and black gloves that she only wore to fight. Sakura didn't have a curvy body like Kasumi or Ino.
Naruto was briefly looked at by everyone present, and shortly thereafter they all looked back at Tsunade. The two girls in Team Kakashi briefly looked at Naruto a little longer.
Naruto stood next to Kakashi and so couldn't see the two girls staring at him for a moment. Naruto was now standing on the very outside of Kakashi, facing the Hokage.
"Kasumi, your training starts tomorrow. Rest today and get ready, this training will be harder than any before." Tsunade spoke to the person who brought her back to Konoha in a serious tone. Kasumi was the person who gave Tsunade meaning in life again. Due to Kasumi's status, she was always in some danger and because of that, she had to train harder than others. She had more enemies than many shinobi would have in a lifetime, even at the age of 16. So that she was prepared in the near future, Kasumi would be trained by Tsunade and someone else starting tomorrow.
"You can count on that, granny Tsunade! I'll prove to you that I'll surpass you someday, Dattabane!" Kasumi had a smirk on her face.
Naruto looked cautiously at Tsunade. 'She's definitely suicidal.' You could clearly see how Tsunade's eyes twitched at the address. She remained calm in the end and ignored the comment.
"Good. Now to you Kakashi, you will keep training Sakura and keep training yourself." Kakashi just nodded and stayed silent. Sakura must have learned a lot from Tsunade, but not as much as you might think. Sakura had always been the support role on the team. Kasumi had always been the person who fought on the front lines and with all her Kage Bunshin (Shadow Clones) she was perfectly at home there.
"That settles that too. Sakura, I still expect a lot from you. I don't want to regret my decision to make you my student in the past."
"Of course, Tsunade!" Sakura looked at her determinedly. Naruto caught a glimpse of her eyes and thought he saw a hint of sadness in those green eyes. He said nothing and just watched and stayed out of anything that was discussed there.
"Then you can step away." All members of Team Kakashi bowed slightly and then said goodbye to Tsunade and the other two people in the room.
As the door closed, Tsunade rubbed her temples lightly. Kasumi was a very important person in her life, but she always gave her a headache. She really was just like her mother and hardly like her father. Kushina Uzumaki was also so energetic and very direct.
"So, let's get to the point..." Tsunade was about to continue, but was interrupted.
2 Anbus appeared out of nowhere in Tsunade's office. One Anbu wore a raven mask, and the other Anbu wore a weasel mask. Naruto recognized the two Anbus immediately. They were the two Anbus he fought first and then together with them against the shinobi from Iwagakure.
"The investigation is complete, Lady Hokage." Both Anbu knelt straight and kept their eyes on the ground.
Tsunade suddenly looked completely different than before. When Team Kakashi walked out of the room, she seemed very relaxed and easygoing. Now she had the poise and look of a Hokage on her face. Her previous headache was gone, and Naruto saw that.
"The supposed shinobi from Iwagakure were missing ninja from all major countries. One of the captured shinobi was cooperative and told us everything. They were hired by someone to cause trouble here in Konoha." The Anbu with the raven mask then became silent.
"Thank you both. Good work as always. Stand by, I'll call you back in a moment." Tsunade then made a movement with her arm and both Anbu simply disappeared with the Shunshin no Jutsu.
"Sorry for the little interruption Naruto, so continue with the text." Naruto just listened and nodded in acknowledgment of her speech.
"You will be part of Team..."
