If you enjoy the story or have any criticism, please leave a review. I cried while writing this; poor Kakashi. The next chapter will likely focus on politics and changes in the shinobi world.

The first day of Sasuke's revolution passed, and the second day of a new age began. In the Hokage's office stood Hiashi Hyuga and Hanabi Hyuga.

"You called for us, Lord Hokage?"

"Yes," the Tsunade puppet spoke. "I want to talk to you both about Hinata."

"Hinata?" Both of them were surprised.

"Were you aware that Hinata Hyuga was in love with Naruto Uzumaki?"

"What?" Hiashi had no idea about this.

"Yes," Hanabi responded.

"I hurt Hinata without realizing that I would do so, so I want to make it up to her. Since Naruto had no relatives besides Karin who doesn't need his things, I've decided that she would inherit everything Naruto Uzumaki owned. It's the least I could do for her."

"That's very generous of you, but why don't you talk about this to Hinata herself?" Hiashi asked.

"Since I am the one who took Naruto's life, I'm sure she doesn't want to see me ever again. That's why I need you to lie."

"Lie?" Hiashi was confused as to what Sasuke had meant.

"She mustn't know that this inheritance comes from my own benevolence. So I need you to lie that you knew about her love for Naruto for a long time and that you came to convince me of this deal, not the other way around."

"I see."

"This isn't a suggestion; it's an order. You're dismissed, except for Hanabi; I need to speak to her in private."

"Yes, Lord Hokage." Hiashi was worried to leave Hanabi alone with this murderer, but what choice did he have? He could only pray that nothing bad would happen.

As the door closed, Hanabi began, "What?" with a snarky attitude. She didn't like Sasuke, as he had hurt her sister so much.

"Ah, don't be like that," the Tsunade puppet handed her a photo.

"What is this?"

"It's a photo of Team 7 when we were genins. Hinata has no visual record of Naruto's existence. I know how important photographs of your deceased loved ones are. I used to look at them every day. Even though they are associated with the painful realization that they are no longer with you, you can find comfort in knowing that you'll never forget any details about what they looked like. If Hinata died, you would want a picture of her too, wouldn't you?"

"Makes sense," young Hanabi made sense of such heavy adult words. "But why didn't you give this to me and not father?"

"Your father is not a trustworthy man. His line of thinking and the things he enacts on his fellow clansmen are disgusting. I never could imagine doing such things to my fellow Uchihas unless they were a threat to the village. You are young &smart and innocent. Your heart is in the right place, uncorrupted. You are the only one I can entrust with this task. Please deliver this to your sister. That is your mission. And if she refuses it, don't give up; keep offering it to her until she accepts. Report to me in secret when you succeed"

"Yes, Lord Hokage."

"Of course, I want you to lie too, just like your father. You're dismissed."

Hanabi left the office with the picture neatly tucked away in her clothing, thinking that maybe there is more to this Sasuke guy than she first thought. The world was truly complex, and she started to realize that things are not black and white in this world. Her opinion was mostly negative of Sasuke, but this little interaction improved her opinion of him. Her sister was just a stranger to him, yet he was paying special attention to her sister when he could just ignore her altogether.

The real Sasuke smirked after the exchange with Hanabi (Soon, you'll be my pawn)

Sasuke rounded up Team Kurogane on the outskirts of the village.

"So where are we going again, Sasuke?" Suigetsu asked.

"To the Rain Village."

"Why do we need to go there?"

"After a conversation with a certain someone, I've realized that simply controlling the 5 great nations is not enough. The world is vast, consisting of smaller nations too that are troubled too. They don't deserve any less attention than the big nations. What good would my revolution be if it only affected a certain amount of people? To the outsiders outside of my influence, it would be like my revolution hadn't existed at all, and the cycle of hatred and despair would continue there. I also need to see it for myself to decide what to do next. Orochimaru, did you-"

"Yes, Sasuke, I left my clone behind in my lab so no one can get their hands on Naruto's body. Don't worry."

"Good."

Sasuke manifested his perfect Susanoo and flew with his team in the direction of the Hidden Rain Village. Upon arrival, the only word that came to everyone's mind was "rubble"; there was no other way to describe this. The Hidden Rain Village was in shambles.

"What the hell happened here?" Sasuke asked, puzzled, hoping to find an answer.

"It seems after Pain was defeated, the nation fell into chaos. Suddenly losing your leader with no one to take over is bound to cause chaos," Orochimaru explained.

Sasuke nodded in understanding. Walking through the Rain village was disheartening, to say the least. The general population clearly lived in suboptimal conditions, much like the Hidden Mist village Sasuke had visited during a mission as a genin. A group of three children approached Team Kurogane, causing Suigetsu to reach for his makeshift sword. However, Sasuke gestured for Suigetsu to stop.

"Um, excuse me, do you have any spare food, please?" Sasuke noted to himself that these children were clearly malnourished. He handed them all the onigiri he had brought with him, his favorite food.

"Wow, thank you, mister!" The children hadn't had anything this good in ages.

"In return, I want you to tell me what happened to this village."

"After those damn Hidden Leaf villagers killed our leader, everything went to shambles. Civil wars broke out, and it was overall chaos."

"I see. Do you know what this is?" Sasuke revealed his Rinnegan to these children.

"That's the Rinnegan!"

"How do you have it?" Another child asked.

"I killed the man who killed your leader, and I killed the Five Kage who ravaged your village. I will bring eternal peace and stability to this nation, I swear it. I want you to do one thing for me."

"What is it?"

"Spread the word of Sasuke of the Rinnegan for me, the one who will bring peace."

"Sure thing, Sasuke."

"And one more thing."

"What?"

"Come back here tomorrow and bring people with you."

"Those were 2 things Sasuke" Suigetsu pointed out.

"Shut up." Sasuke replied

The children departed, and Team Kurogane continued walking through the village. Suigetsu noted to himself, "This is the perfect environment for my abilities."

Sasuke's stomach rumbled from hunger. "Here, you can have mine if you want," Karin offered her food to Sasuke. "No, thanks; you eat it," said Sasuke, refusing because of his martyr complex.

Sasuke wanted to give the children all of his money, but all he had was Konoha's ryo currency, which was not accepted in the Hidden Rain village. If he went to a currency exchange, he would get a good conversion rate, since the Hidden Rain is a poor village, and their currency is almost worthless. However, if Hidden Rain villagers wanted to convert their money to ryo, they would hardly get anything, and they would also lose a lot in fees. This made moving out of the village even harder because they didn't have the money for travel. With the destroyed governmental infrastructure, the average citizen lacked education and skills to get decent-paying jobs. The poverty of the citizens and the anarchy made private companies unwilling to invest in this nation because the profits would be too low and not worth it when they could just continue business as usual in the rich nations. This gave Sasuke a bunch of ideas, including the idea of a global currency. He knew that coming to the Hidden Rain village was the right choice. He was going to have a meeting about these ideas as soon as possible.

As Sasuke was lost in thought, pondering politics and economics, a woman in provocative clothing approached him, saying, "Hey, handsome, do you want some fun? I might not look like it, but I'm actually really cheap."

Karin was infuriated, muttering, "Why this bitch?"

"Fuck off, bitch; he's mine!"

"And who are you to him, huh? His girlfriend?"

"Well..." Karin honestly didn't know how to answer that question.

(Who am I to Sasuke?) Karin thought deeply about her relationship with Sasuke.

"She's my fiancée."

"Wa-" Karin turned as red as a tomato.

"I see. Sorry to disturb you."

While Karin was lost in her own thoughts, Sasuke said, "This is the perfect village."

"The perfect village? This is the furthest thing from perfect, Sasuke," Suigetsu argued.

"In that sense, yes, it's terrible, but no one knows who I am." Orochimaru immediately understood what Sasuke was getting at. "No one resents me here; no one knows who I am. I can build an infrastructure of power here that I can trust. In all of the Five Great Nations, I can't trust a single shinobi with personal tasks. Here, it would be different. I could build a safer and more convenient environment for us here, and for our future children."

Sasuke looked over to Karin who was red as a tomato.

(Sasuke displaying interest in female company? Kukuku, how devious.) Orochimaru thought.

"This village needs a hero, not a villain. So I shall become one," Sasuke declared.

"Excuse me, can you tell me where Pain's grave is?" Sasuke inquired.

"Oh, do you not know? It's right over there. He has a shrine."

Team Kurogane approached Nagato's resting place, adorned with many flowers.

"Orochimaru," Sasuke called out to Orochimaru.

Orochimaru performed hand signs, and Sasuke watched with his Sharingan to copy the technique. Orochimaru used Earth Style to bring up the coffin from underground to the surface. Sasuke opened the coffin, revealing a smelly, rotting corpse.

"Eeeeeww!" The team exclaimed, except for Orochimaru and Sasuke. Sasuke used his Rinnegan to summon the King of Hell, which briefly deactivated one of his puppets. He then threw Nagato's body into the King of Hell's mouth to repair it. Out of the mouth emerged a fresh corpse without any signs of decay. Sasuke summoned the black rods with his Rinnegan and started impaling Nagato's body. After a bloody procedure that made all the team members except for Orochimaru look away, the corpse stood up beside them.

"Fascinating," Orochimaru was intrigued by the Rinnegan's power. "This takes me back when I first met him; I tried to steal his Rinnegan."

"Of course, you did," Sasuke remarked.

Far away from the Hidden Rain Village, two people were hiking a steep mountain, one with white hair and one with pink hair.

"Are we there yet, Kakashi-sensei?" The pink-haired girl asked, panting from exhaustion while carrying a heavy adult male body.

"Yes, Sakura, we should be almost there." They traversed extreme terrain to reach a place Sasuke could never find—a location not mapped on any known map, known only to a select few in history. When they finally arrived, it felt like they had reached heaven, with nature flourishing at such high altitudes.

(Thank you, Minato-sensei, for telling me about the secret passage. Even in death, you are still saving the world. I swear I won't let your legacy go to waste.) Kakashi thought

As Sakura and Kakashi approached what appeared to be a village, they were greeted by a dozen talking toads.

"So, you've finally come. We've been expecting you."

"You were expecting us?" Sakura inquired.

"Yes, our leader, Gamamaru, had a vision about you two. Please come in to meet him."

They were led into a giant building, where a giant toad sat.

"So, you've finally come. I foresaw your arrival. Can I please know your names?"

"Haruno Sakura, Hatake Kakashi."

"May I know how you know the location of this place?"

"Minato-sensei told me about it."

"Minato, huh? He wasn't supposed to talk about it, but I suppose it was a good thing that he did. Tell me, Naruto's name disappeared from the summoning contract. Is he-..."

"Yes," Kakashi replied with sorrow.

"I see, so the one wielding the power in his eyes emerged victorious. I will now tell you your future."

(Can this old toad really see the future?) Sakura questioned; she had never encountered foresight ability before.

"Young man, you will wield immense power in your eyes." (Immense power in his eyes?) Sakura looked at Madara's eyes, knowing what she had to do to make that prophecy a reality.

"You will also wield the immense power of giant beasts."

"Giant beasts? Does that mean Sasuke failed to kill the Tailed Beasts?" Kakashi inquired, finding hope in this prophecy.

"I do not know. I can also see you both using the power of the toads. You will battle several people wielding immense power in their eyes."

(Several people with immense ocular powers? I hope he doesn't mean people like Kaguya.) Kakashi imagined the worst-case scenario, which was very much a possibility

"And then you'll fight a man wielding the mightiest power in his eyes, just like Naruto. The outcome, I cannot tell you." Kakashi clenched his fist. To be fated to have a deathmatch with his student hurt him deeply. Gamamaru, noticing Kakashi's clenched fists, said, "Have you seen it?"

"Yes," Kakashi replied, confirming that he knew who the man wielding power in his eyes was.

"Could you tell us why you two came here?"

"Yes." Kakashi and Sakura began to explain exactly what had happened to Naruto and told the toads about Sasuke's revolution and what was going on in the ninja world.

"I see. So Sasuke, the child wielding power in his eyes, was the child of prophecy, the one who will bring peril to the world. This reminds me of the days Kaguya ruled the world before Hagoromo and Hamura stopped her."

"Kaguya used to rule the world?" Kakashi inquired.

"Yes, she used to be called the Rabbit Goddess, but her power corrupted her and she became known as a demon among people. She started out with good, noble intentions, but she slowly turned into a tyrant. It's an inevitable outcome of one's possession of absolute power. I trained her children, Hagoromo and Hamura, to give them the power to stop her. If what you say about Sasuke is true, we will assist you in defeating him, and your sage training shall begin immediately. With Naruto gone, I'm afraid you two might be the last hope of this world. If you fail, it's all over."

This put so much pressure on Kakashi. Not only did he have to ascend to unimaginable levels of power, but he also had to battle his student to the death, who was in so many ways just like him. He had tried to be a good role model and father figure to Sasuke, and now the fate of the world depended on the outcome of this deathmatch. He felt as though he had completely failed to mend the bonds of Team 7. His students were literally killing each other. Fighting Sasuke at the Five Kage Summit had already been painful enough. Now he had to do it all over again, and the fate of the world depended on him.

(Naruto, I'm so sorry that I wasn't a better teacher. Minato-sensei, Kushina, I'm so sorry I failed Naruto completely. If only I could've reached Sasuke back then, none of this would have happened, and now, he wouldn't have to walk this self-destructive path, and I wouldn't have to kill him.)

"Yes, thank you," Kakashi tried to keep it together, but a tear ran down his mask. He hadn't had time to process his grief, but now that he was in a safe place, the emotions flooded in like a tsunami.

"Kakashi-sensei." She could see the deep sorrow in Kakashi's face, even through the mask. She placed her hand on his shoulder and told him, "It's alright, sensei. I'm still here; not everything was lost. I know times are tough, and the task ahead is painful, but we'll do it together. I'm not going anywhere. Naruto still lives on in our hearts. He has become much more than just his name. He has influenced us in a major way to change, and that change is not going to go away. Naruto wouldn't want us to be sulking and be depressed. He would want us to move on and smile. You were a great teacher, and I promise you that Naruto would've agreed."

"Thank you, Sakura," Kakashi smiled, finding some comfort in her words.

"Can my sage training wait? To make your prophecy true, I'm going to need to set up a laboratory here and study Madara's body," Sakura asked.

"Very well, as you wish." A summoning contract scroll was handed to them. "This is so you can reverse summon yourselves back here." Sakura and Kakashi bit their thumbs to draw blood to write their names and leave their fingerprints.

As Sakura and Kakashi exited Gamamaru's temple, they met Gamabunta and Gamakichi. "Hey, you're Kakashi Hatake, aren't you?" Gamabunta inquired.

"Yes, I am."

"Is it true that Naruto has died?"

"Yes, it's true," Kakashi said with a gloomy expression. Gamakichi looked sad; he had liked Naruto. It was fun to be around him. He had even saved Naruto's life once when his dad was apprehensive to help Naruto fight Shukaku. Gamakichi had convinced his pops to help Naruto out.

"I see. So Minato's brat didn't make it. I'm sorry about that. He was a good kid."

Sakura and Kakashi parted ways. Sakura went off to establish a lab in Mount Myoboku, and Kakashi went to proceed with his sage training with many doubts in his mind. He knew about Gamamaru's prophecies from Naruto and Jiraiya. He knew that toads rarely ever dreamed, but when they did, they were prophecies of the future. The Great Toad Sage said Kakashi would wield the power of the toads, but Kakashi had his doubts. His chakra reserves were nowhere near Jiraiya's and Naruto's. So how could he master sage mode? The Great Toad Sage said there must be some way for him to do so; he just didn't know how for now.

Author's notes: For those thinking it's impossible for Kakashi to accomplish all of that, consider that according to his feats in the Boruto novels, he's on a low Otsutsuki level. With a few genetic enhancements, you get an overpowered Kakashi. The Sharingan drained a significant amount of chakra from him, and now, without it, he possesses massive amounts of chakra. I've also broken the "the new generation will surpass the old one" rule in Naruto, but this is no longer "Naruto"; it's "Sasuke." Sasuke's reign has completely changed the narrative.
