I'm Sonic, Sonic the hedgehog! I decided to start writing a journal, so I have somewhere to put my feelings. A lot of things happened that led me to this place. I should talk about that.
'Kay, so, three years ago, we had a huge fight with Eggman. When it ended, he just vanished, and all his empire stuff collapsed. With all that stuff seemingly over, I just left to follow my own path.
I know, I'm a jerk for flaking on my friends like that. I still need to apologize to Sally for that.
Anyway, part of why I left is because I had a question in mind: what am I?
See, my earliest memory came from when I was five years old: I ended up on South Island, no memory, no idea who or what I am. Then I'm met by a kindly human man, who promises to take care of me. His name?
Ivo Robotnik.
He wanted to use me as a battery for his machines, and I only just managed to escape.
Ah, youth.
So, I did a bit of searching, trying to find out if I have anyone I belong to. My travels led me to Ashdrop Village, right as a group of raiders tried attacking. They kicked my butt, I ran to Tails' workshop, and the raiders took a hostage:
Maisie Dee. Aspiring writer, pretty good with a halberd, and Amy's biggest fan.
For real, when she heard about an Amy fan club, she challenged the club leader to single combat for the position.
Right, back to what I was talking about.
So, I went to rescue Maisie, and met Levi. Levitating Envoy VI, he acted as Eggman's liaison. He came into the village with a whole load of robots, all to catch little old me. I didn't know how I'd take them all on, but luckily I didn't have to.
Most of my pals showed up to bail me out, and after that we began hanging out more, and a lot's happened since.
Tails found this plant from another universe, and it became a girl named Cosmo; get this, she knew who Tails was. The fact that he wasn't her Tails upset her, so they spent most of her time here avoiding each other. They finally got along, and Tails sent her back home.
Also, Tails started hanging out with his mom again. She was overbearing, didn't want him doing anything reckless, so he ran away. They met back up recently, and are slowly working things out. I'm glad, I think it took some weight off his shoulders.
Sally rebuilt her nation-it got destroyed when we were both ten-and became one of the leaders. Her AI, Nicole, developed some body for herself, and from what I hear, they've got a thing going. Good for them, good for them.
Shadow adopted, and I was actually there to see that one. Grid's a yellow squirrel, which I think reminds him of Maria. She can see through walls, which is pretty cool. He's started taking her everywhere, since he can't find a sitter, and it's the cutest thing. Grid also gets along with Infinite. Oh yeah, I should get into that.
So, in the final battle, Infinite was pretty messed up. I took him to safety, I couldn't just leave him there. Three years later, he began to heal up, and I did some convincing to get him out free-well, he's under surveillance, surrounded by people he doesn't like, but it's better than nothing. I think he can redeem himself, if given the chance.
Anyway, I got confronted with a fear-making machine that somehow split me in two: one half was all nice, the other was a jerk. This split unlocked some memories, so Jerk Me began demanding answers. Nice Me managed to talk him down, and I passed out.
While I was out cold, I met Tikal. We spoke, and she helped me come to terms with my feelings.
When I woke up, Chuck told me where I came from: I'm a test tube baby, baby. Chuck warned me not to go find my creator, and I don't plan to. I know what I am now, so I'm satisfied.
But then again, I do have some questions…
Hi! As you could read from the description, this is a sequel. This first chapter serves as a recap of all the important things, and the story itself will begin in the next chapter. In the meantime, check out Sonic Resurgence, and I'll see you all next time.
