Ruby Rose, leader of team RWBY could be certain of something. She loved Jaune Arc; he had been her first friend at Beacon after her sister had technically ditched her. They were great friends, they shared a lot of hobbies, he had introduced her to his team, and he was the one of the few people that could make Ruby Rose feel as if she was a not a prodigy child.

Ruby loved her friend, like the good friend he was. She felt nothing but a strong feeling of friendship and comradery when her fellow leader encouraged her.

And because he was his friend she could admit something that may seem ridiculous to a certain extent, he was making her worry. Out of nowhere Jaune had drastically improve, it wasn't that he became slightly stronger, no he had improved to the point he seemed to actually know what he was doing. And this may not have been worrying at all... if it was not for the fact that this grow suddenly happened in just two weeks, but his attitude was one of the main concerning factors for her worry as well.

Jaune's improvement had come in a variety of factors. He has become a better swordsman, he had gained some more muscle, he had been quicker to answer during classes, and somehow he had become a better flirter making Yang blush in one occasion. The negative changes in his attitude had also appeared, he had become jumpy and easier to startle, and he had become slightly more paranoiac as if he was under constant surveillance. What in the world had happened to Jaune?

Jaune's new attitude hadn't only been noted for Ruby. Pyrrha had been trying to ask Jaune what had happened, only getting vague answers. Nora had followed him with a stealth that she never imagined, had lost him, he had just disappeared out of thin air. Ren had been the first and only one to cage him and basically interrogate him, apparently Jaune had been going to Vale and disappearing until the night, Jaune had answered that he had gotten a job that required him to stay late, and the money he had come back with for two weeks straight was proof of it.

Ruby had gone to Weiss to figure out what had if she knew something, she had only answered that he was probably just tired and proceeded to ignore the problem. Blake was still dealing with the White Fang so she had ignored Ruby. Yang was focused on pulling Blake out of her obsession so Ruby hadn't even bothered in asking her. Finally, Ruby had gone and asked Jaune what was happening, and his answer had been a simple:

-"Don't worry about it."

This did not work, the moment Ruby saw Jaune's eyes when he said those words she noted something. They were empty.

Ruby had noted something else as well, sometimes Jaune came back in a smiley mood, sometimes he came back with a scared look and sometimes he came as if nothing had happened. Sometimes he muttered about different topics that she had never heard about it, and sometimes he complained about an Irish hag beating him to the bone. What was an Irish anyway?

Ruby was going to figure out what was happening to him, how he managed to improve, why was out until late and where he was going during the time he was out. And in order to figure that out, she had gathered the help of both teams and forced them to stay in RWBY's dorm room until they could come up with as many theories as they could.

Anyway, thanks for listening. Now, why was Ruby thinking about this again? Oh, right the sphere of light that emitted a sound akin to that of a thousand babies being sacrificed. It was weird that her las regret was worrying about her friend.

How did the sphere appeared? Easy, after convincing (tricking and forcing) her entire team to join the reunion, after making various theories, after ignoring the complaints of Blake for separating her search, after calming herself down when Weiss had said that this was ridiculous and after accepting the apologies of her sister for ignoring the concerns she had, after all of that. A small explosion happened in the middle of room, more than an explosion it was actually the sound of a bubble popping, as you would hear in a cartoon.

In the middle of the room was a sphere, it was a pure blue sphere made of out of light. For a few seconds no one did anything, neither the sphere nor the students watching it with silent worry. Then the sphere began to make a sound, it was a horrible, horrible sound, it has been as if someone had let out the every horror in the world, putting them inside a machine that transformed them into a sound and then the sphere was playing that same sound in a continuous manner. This had been the last straw the last straw that broke the camel's back, everyone in the room had rushed to the door in a panic, trying to escape whatever that thing was that was definitely not from this world.

And to the horror of everyone the sphere of light began to gag, to gag just like a person that is about to puke would, never stopping the sound at the moment. As it made the sounds, a black box began to emerge from it. As if it was pooping it, the black box began to come out from that sphere and it finally came to a halt the moment the black floor hit the floor with a loud 'thud'. And if that was the last thing it wanted to do, the sphere exploded like a bubble would.

It left both teams alone in the room, terrified, and staring at the box that had landed between the homemade bunk beds. Ruby could only say of something at that moment.

-"Not it!"- realizing as well that the sphere might come back if they didn't open the box, all the teenagers began to shout the same thing, leaving one of them basically alone against the box.

Pyrrha neared it with care and her weapon. Slowly but surely she pushed the top of the box away causing all of the teenagers in the room to look away in fear. Just for nothing to happen.

Still doubtful but less so than before. Pyrrha gave a step closer towards the box, then another, until she finally extended her entire upper body and declared:

-"There is a note." - Pyrrha informed the hunter and huntresses.

-"I will read it." - Weiss declared, probably thinking they had made Pyrrha suffer enough with her interactions with the box. With a decided pace Weiss approached the box and picked up a small yellow post it note. - "Want to know where Jaune went?" - She read. - "Play these ones." - She crouched to see to what the note was referring.

-"What is it." - Blake asked trying to hide the fear she was feeling right now.

-"A VHS player and a bunch of VHS tapes."

-"Does anyone know how to play them?" - Ren asked calmer than the rest of the room but with the small light of a panic in his eyes.

-"I will bring a teacher!" - Ruby declared before using her semblance to sprint out of the room.

Ruby Rose swore to kill Jaune if he had done something to upset the sphere of light.
