CHAPTER 1
She's running late, well not exactly running, more like walking at a fast pace. As fast as anyone can when their body feels like it's been sat on by an elephant.
Hurt. Sore. Exhausted
That's all she felt, pain through every muscle with every move. As a captain you would think she was used to the feeling. From chasing perps to constantly being on go her body was as active as someone in their 20s but did she feel like it at this moment. The answer to that is NO. All thanks to a special someone who finished his undercover op early. Elliot. Her Elliot.
And last night he proved it. She smirked, he definitely proved it in a big way.
She hadn't known he would be back and that he would be standing outside her apartment when she got home but there he was. Standing there waiting for her. His Olivia. Just thinking about him saying that puts a smile on her face.
So she was hurt. Sore. Exhausted yet Happy. More than happy if she kept letting the memories of her night run through her mind.
Her smile quickly gets wiped away as soon as she walks into the squad room. The echoes of her boots unheard as people moved around the room in a haste to start their day. Start it so it could quickly be over.
"Good Morning, Everyone"
"Hey Cap," she hears Fin call out. She can almost feel the smirk growing on his face without even looking. She knows he's probably seen the slight limp in her walk and for old Liv that would've easily freaked her out. Although this time, it doesn't. It somewhat makes her smile, the pure thought that there is evidence of her night before lingering makes more giddy than a teenager. Christ Olivia! It's not like you haven't had sex before. She hears the voice in her head and knows it's right but there's a difference. A difference between sex and sex with Elliot.
Walking into her office, she makes her way around to her chair while sitting things down on her desk. Slowly as she could she began to ease her way into her seat, the muscles in her thighs screaming at her for causing them to stretch more.
"You good, cap?" Fin asks as he comes to stand in her doorway. Looking up she can see the slight smirk caressing his face and knows it's only a matter of time before he says something but who is she to give in so easily.
"Yeah I'm fine Fin, never better…. Any updates on the case" She knows there hasn't been any updates. Probably wouldn't be any till tomorrow as it's Sunday and the DA won't be in till tomorrow. But she knew asking about a case was a sure way to get any cops' thoughts back on track.
Well apparently any cop but Fin. She shakes her head before looking out her window to see the squad room still bustling about.
"Nice bracelet, did it come from the same person that gave you that show piece of a necklace." Confused on what he was talking about, she went to look down at her wrists when her face immediately flamed with heat. A mark. Not just any mark, No. A light red mark that is attempting to fade from her skin. Fade from her skin but not her mind. She knew that the cuffs had left a mark last night but was certain it would've faded by this morning, it's not like it caused that much pain. Well not much pain at the time. She quickly quieted the voice in her head and looked at Fin now standing in her office grinning like the Cheshire cat.
"Watch it Fin"
"Hey, why are you so hostile? You would think any activity leaving marks on your body like that and a limp in your walk would put you in a better mood. Are you telling me after 5 kids, Stabler doesn't know how to make a good lasting impression" She can hear the laugh bubbling up towards the end of his sentence and knows he's getting a kick out of this. This is just the beginning of the torture her best friend thats become a brother is going to inflict on her. According to last night, its not like you don't like a little torture. She couldn't help but smirk at that. Images of her night before flashed like a movie in her mind, as she rubbed her wrist now hidden under her desk.
Rubbing at the bracelet as Fin called it, she thought back to last night, as time stop for El to trace each freckle that graced her skin in the hopes of mapping out the constellations. His words, not hers. His mouth touched every inch of her skin and left memories of just how much lost time they made up for last night. A night that lasted well into the morning, being the number one reason she had been running late.
Just the thought of his rough hands; one kneading her softly as if she was the finest china delicate to touch while the other strikes down inflicting the best kind of pain embedding its print into the skin of her right ass cheek. The light red rings around her wrists and ankles, only one of which Fin can see, painting reminders of their second time when they both wanted to explore their curiosities and bring out the animal within one another. She began to fill heat rush up her covered chest and to her neck.
Realizing she must've been taking too long to respond, if the look on Fin's face says anything, Liv just decides to give in, Almost.
"I'm not hostile, you're just annoying. And since when do you care about what Stabler does in bed?"
"I'm not but when it has my captain walking in like she got hit by a bus then yeah it has me worried," She can tell he's having too much fun with this. Rolling her eyes, she begins to mindlessly scroll on my computer hoping he'll just get the hint and leave.
"I can see you need some time to yourself this morning, I'll let you get to it, maybe even tend to your wounds." He's out of her eyesight before she can even snap back a reply.
Looking out the window, she gets lost in her squad while letting her thoughts flow. She thought about what Fin said and absentmindedly began to caress her wounds per say. Who would've thought a highly decorated captain would be into being cuffed. Well probably a good amount as a part of a kink. It just takes the right person to ignite it. To say she's found her right person would be an understatement. She felt free last night despite being confined to the bed open to only him. Hands and feet bound together solely by the cuffs as the chains clashed together behind his head keeping his body to her. Having her legs on his shoulders would be one thing but to practically be folded in half while your cuffs on your ankles scrape behind his ear.
She's surprised she was able to move in that way at her age. Yes, she's fit but with her job she barely has time to have a full fitness routine. Thankfully, she's found an instructor who is flexible so she can fit in yoga along with a run whenever she can because without it she doesn't know if she would be in the condition she's in now.
I mean the way he had her body bending with his hands at its own free will was devilish. Witchcraft if you'd ask anyone in the early 1800s. She was withering under his spell, succumbed to earthly magnet that drew her body into his, entranced by his whispers of praise.
Feeling her nipples perk against the lace of her bra, she feels that heat to rush back. She quickly fanned herself, stopping the blushing from spreading any farther than her freckled chest. You couldn't tell it was there but the contrast of her reddened olive skin against her white blouse makes it that much more noticeable.
Looking at the clock she sees that she's spent the better half of her morning either being teased about her night or day dreaming about it. Taking off her fitted blazer, she begins to get comfortable at her desk and eases her body into a position that's comfortable for hours of sitting. After reading the few morning emails, she gets ready to start her paperwork when she hears it.
The sound of footsteps walking into the squad room.
They are not the footsteps of anyone in her squad or the normal steps of the regular everyday visitors. They don't belong there, yet they are not foreign and that sound is somewhat familiar in the atmosphere.. She knows who it is even without having to land eyes on them.
"What the hell happened to your eye?" she heard a chuckle come after Fin's question. A chuckle that sent goosebumps down her arms. Looking up to her doorway, there was the man that has been occupying her mind for the better half of the morning. "Hey" she says as a smile graces her face.
"Hey, I brought you some coffee I figured you probably weren't able to stop since you left in a rush" He walks in sitting the coffee on her desk and a bag that looks like it came from the deli. "Also brought a club sandwich since I knew you most likely wouldn't have time to get anything for lunch" How did she get so lucky.
"Thank you El, you're right I was already running late and didn't want to make it worse. How's your eye feeling? I'm glad we iced it before it could get worse. I really am sorry, you know." She says, eyes conveying the emotion of her words.
"Liv, baby it's fine. It was an accident, accidents happen. If we're placing blame, then it's my fault." She quirks an eyebrow up at him asking how. "I should've given you some more support, I knew you were going to go limp, it just so happens that you were in a position that caused you to slip and hit me in the eye" He finishes with a deep chuckle causing a tingle inside. After placing her lunch on the desk, he walks up to her wrapping his arms around her lower back. She could never get used to this feeling. The feeling of safety, security, and love. The feeling of home. The same feeling she felt when she was in his arms last night as he showered her with praise while their bodies moved to their own rhythm.
"You good, baby?" There it goes. That word he's been using since she told him she was ready last night, Baby. It's not that she doesn't like it, and she told him that last night when he felt her tense at it's initial appearance, it's just that it's new for them. But wasn't everything? She feels his thumbs start to make a small circle at the base of her back and just like that, her conflicting thoughts fade. She couldn't help but smile. A simple touch from this man was enough to make her forget her worries. She was in so deep it was almost comical.
Feeling herself relax deeper into his arms, she almost feels herself drift when remembers he asked her a question before the start of her spiral. "Yeah, yeah I'm good. Especially now." that earns herself a smirk, one that makes her want to kiss it right off. "Fin was just grilling me when I came in about some certain bruises on my wrists" She looked up at him through her lashes and gave a look that was stern yet seductive. Her look hardens when she not only hears but feels his deep belly laugh.
"El, come on. It's not funny" That only caused him to continue to laugh earning him a smack in the chest.
"Ow Liv! You've already injured my eye, why are you beating me up more?" He feigns a saddened look, that anyone almost would've believed him if it wasn't for the huge smile plastered on his face.
"Hey, you just said that was your fault. But that's besides the point you weren't supposed to leave marks, Detective." She made her significance known by poking her figure into his chest highlighting every word.
"I tried Liv, but it was honestly a 50/50 chance on the cuffs," she could feel his thumbs continuing their pattern from earlier when his next word sent a shiver down her spine, "especially in the position you were in last night. Jesus Liv, it's impossible not to want to mark you in some kind of way." his wording ending in almost a growl. His hands made their way to her hips, stroking her up her sides, while her arms came to rest on his shoulders.
Something about this man made her feel dizzy, as if she's drunk off his presence alone. Just his smell, made her want to say fuck it and walk out of her office to snuggle in bed with him all day.
The sight of the blue eyes, that reminded her of son in a funny way, made her drown in its ocean and surround herself with him. Last night she realized she's been Hard Benson her whole life, sometimes she wants to just step back and be protected. Protected by Elliot. The one person who despite the distance still knows her like no other. Yeah you're getting soft Benson.
He knows what he's doing, knows how distracted she gets by hands. How hyperaware her body is to his touch. It's any easy cop-out to distract your horny girlfriend so she's not mad anymore, any easy out her body just so happy to cave too.
" El, as much as I love the feeling, it's not gonna get me this time." She chuckled at his groan
" I'm a captain El, I can't come into work with bruises on my body from my sex life on display."
"Alright. Alright. I won't leave visible bruises on your body for others to see."
"Elll," it came with a warning tone.
"What? Your only problem is that Fin seen them and that they are somewhat visible."
I guess I'll just have to show you all the places I can hide them tonight," he nipped at her ear before traces to the spot with his tongue causing her to moan deep in her throat.
She hadn't realized her eyes were closed until they opened at the sudden feeling of air hitting the saliva left in the spot once soothed by his tongue. "Speaking of tonight, Am I still picking up Noah from his sleepover?" She was still reeling from his assault on her ear, how can he move so quickly. You're at work Liv, Focus.
She begins to move out of his grasp extinguishing the fire that was starting inside. Making her way to the front of her desk, she leans against it and takes a breath before replying.
"Um, yeah would you? I'm already swamped with paperwork. Since it's Sunday, it'll give me time to finish up so I can focus and hopefully get a head start for the rest of the week."
"Liv, it's fine, Don't worry you" His voice alone is enough to stop the stress that starts to set in, "Do what you do best and be Captain. Plus Noah likes me so it'll be easy to sit around and do 'boy stuff'" Just as he thought that earns him a smile.
"Boy Stuff and what might that be?"
"Now it wouldn't be boy stuff if I told a girl now would it." They both stand there smiling like idiots at each other. Loving that this banter can be done with ease.
"You know what I don't think I truly want to know dealing with you two." "That's my girl. Now don't stress that pretty little head of yours and get back to being Badass Benson. Me and Noah will be fine at yours until it's time for you to come home." He says making his way towards her office door. " Oh and don't forget your cuffs"
"El, What did I just say about marks?" She says to him in a warning tone, "Plus with No.." Her sentence was cut off by a smuggled gasp as she looked up to see him at her door facing her. His eyes now deep with the desire he felt for her.
Hand on the knob ready to turn it, he locked his eyes with hers."Well you did say he just saw your wrist Liv, I can still get by with cuffing your ankles. And I guess you'll just have to be quiet cause it's just the start to finding my hiding spots" He finished with a wink. " See you tonight, sweetheart."
And with that he left her standing in her office, smiling like an idiot, ready for the work day to end so she could get home to her boys and get ready for her fun filled night.
