A/N: Thanks for all the support for this story. I've finally almost caught up on answering reviews (I think I have 3 to answer and they're not even for Gifted). Anyways, hope you enjoy Day 21. Here we go.
Day 21: December 21
Andy woke up early and put Sharon's gift on the third shelf of the shoe rack in her closet, where there was a space big enough for the medium sized box wrapped in silver wrapping paper with a blue bow on top of it, and right where Sharon would see it as she was getting ready for work.
Afterwards, he carefully climbed back into bed and slid his arms around Sharon's waist, settling his hand against her T-shirt clad hip as he waited for her to stir.
"Why are you up so early?" asked Sharon as she turned over in Andy's arms.
"What do you mean?" asked Andy, trying to play off what he'd done.
"I felt you crawl back into bed just now," said Sharon.
"Guilty," replied Andy.
"What were you doing?" asked Sharon inquisitively.
"If you must know, I was hiding your gift for the day," said Andy.
"Hmm…why were you hiding it?" asked Sharon.
"To keep things interesting," said Andy as he pulled Sharon closer to him and placed a passionate kiss against her lips.
Sharon leaned into the kiss and deepened it for a minute before she pulled away and said, "Mmmm…I think we keep things pretty interesting in here."
"We do. I just thought I'd mix it up a little bit. That's all," replied Andy.
"Okay. Can you give me a clue as to where it is?" asked Sharon.
"You'll find it when you're getting ready," Andy told her.
"That could be anywhere in here or in the bathroom. Can you narrow it down for me?" asked Sharon.
"It's somewhere in your closet," Andy provided another clue.
"Hmm…" hummed Sharon as she sat up in bed and slid out from under the comforter, wearing one of Andy's old LAPD t-shirts and a pair of black leggings, as she stood up and walked over to the closet.
First, she looked through her clothes to see if there was any article of clothing she didn't recognize.
"Is it wrapped or not?" asked Sharon.
"It's wrapped," replied Andy as he sat up in bed.
Next, Sharon looked on the top shelves of her closet to see if she could find the wrapped package.
Andy stood up and walked to the doorway of the closet to see Sharon was looking up.
"Lower," Andy told her.
Sharon looked down and finally found the box covered in silver wrapping paper atop her shoe rack.
She grabbed the package and brought it out into the bedroom and carefully set it on the bed before sitting next to it, with Andy sitting across from her to see her reaction.
Sharon began tearing into the wrapping paper and saw the logo on the box and her hands went up to her mouth in shock.
"Andy! These are Louboutins! This must have cost you half your paycheck!" exclaimed Sharon.
"You're worth it," Andy told her.
"It's not a matter of worthiness, Andy, this is too much," Sharon told him.
"Open the box," Andy told her.
"Andy!" Sharon protested.
"Alright, I've been saving up a little bit at a time for a while now. I'm not broke because of it. Plus, like I said, you're worth it anyway," confessed Andy.
"Andy…" Sharon trailed off warningly.
"Sharon, just open it," Andy told her.
"Alright. I still stand by my earlier statement that this is too much though," Sharon told him.
"Fine. Just open it," said Andy.
Sharon opened up the box to find a pair of velvet red Louboutin heels inside.
Her reaction was priceless as she looked at Andy and smiled as her eyes welled up with tears.
"Andy…they're beautiful," Sharon told him as tears began streaming down her face.
Andy moved the shoebox next to him and pulled her closer as he asked, "What's with the tears, then?"
"It's just…it's just that nobody's ever given me this nice of a gift before," admitted Sharon tearfully.
"Well, they should have," said Andy as he pulled her impossibly closer.
The statement hung in the air for a moment, both knowing who Andy was referring to.
"Thank you seems so inadequate in this situation, but thank you," Sharon told Andy as she wrapped her arms around his neck and hugged him close.
"You're welcome," Andy told her.
They stayed that way for a couple minutes before Sharon let go and Andy could see a few stray tears slowly streaming down her face.
"Promise me this is the most extravagant gift of them all," said Sharon.
"I can't promise that," replied Andy with a knowing smile.
"Andy!" exclaimed Sharon.
"Sharon!" Andy exclaimed back.
Sharon just smiled as her face broke into a fit of laughter.
She never could stay mad at him for very long.
