White Diamond ordered White Pearl to escort Tammo to Pink Diamond's old bedroom. When they got there, it was completely empty.

Tammo walked around the room, gazing at the bare pink walls. He looked for White Pearl but she was already gone. "Hm, that was fast," he said to himself. "I didn't even notice her leaving, wot."

He sat down on the floor, because there was nowhere else to sit. "I need a bed," he said.

To his surprise, a bed instantly rose out of the floor! Tammo looked under the bed and saw a bunch of tiny sentient pebbles running around down there. "I say, who are you tiny little chaps?"

"It's her!" one of the pebbles squeaked. "She's back!"

All the pebbles ran out from under the bed and gathered around Tammo. One of them lifted up Tammo's shirt, revealing his gemstone. "Pinky time! She's back! Our Diamond! Pink, Pink!"

They began crawling all over Tammo. Their little feet tickled Tammo, making him laugh. One of them climbed into his mouth and started building a tiny house in there and Tammo had to spit it out. "All right, who are you fellas?" Tammo asked.

"Very funny, Pink!" said a pebble with a big nose.

"Always playing her games," said one who had a giant fist. "Pretending she doesn't know us Pebbles."

The bedroom door opened and Pearl, Pasque, Garnet, and Amethyst walked in. Tammo was glad to see her again.

"Oh, thank the stars!" Pearl exclaimed. "You're okay! What did White Diamond do? Did she hurt you?"

Tammo shook his head. "No, she was like, 'Welcome home!' I don't think she understands that I'm not Pink Diamond."

"Did you tell her about the corrupted Gems?" Amethyst asked.

"I didn't get a chance. She wouldn't let me get a word in edgewise. But I was so tongue tied that I don't think I could have said anything anyway."

"Yeah, White has that effect on people," Garnet said.

"I'm just glad you're safe and sound, wot!" Pasque said.

Tammo smiled at his friends. "I'm jolly well glad you're all safe and sound too. And hey, at least White Diamond has met me now. If I can just talk to her again, maybe I can explain everything to her."

Pasque was looking at the Pebbles. "What are these things?"

"They're Pink Diamond's companions," Pearl said. "They were created from her sweat."

Then Yellow Pearl walked in. She greeted Tammo with a salute. "Pink Diamond, my Diamond has requested your presence in the extraction chamber."

"Extraction chamber?" Tammo gulped. "I don't like the sound of that."

"An extraction chamber is just a sauna," Pearl reassured him.

Tammo relaxed. "Okay, that sounds fun."

"Follow me, Pink Diamond," Yellow Pearl said.

Tammo smiled friendlily at her. "Please, call me Tammo."

"Pink Tammo," she said.

"No, just Tammo, wot wot."

"Just Tammo Wot Wot," she repeated.

Tammo laughed. "Call me… Lasagna."

"Tammo, stop," said Pearl. "You're going to break her."

Tammo followed Yellow Pearl to the extraction chamber. "Have a nice extraction, Pink Lasagna!" she said.

Tammo entered the sauna. Yellow Diamond was already sitting inside. "Pink," she greeted him.

"Hi, Yellow," he answered. "Cool sauna!"

"It's new," she said. "Have a seat."

Tammo hopped up onto the bench and sat down beside her. "So, you met with White," she said. "How was it?"

Tammo hung his head. "All I got to say was 'hi' and 'um' and 'I.'"

"Two and a half words, that's a record," Yellow approved.

"Two and a half words isn't enough. I still need to talk to White about healing all the corrupted Gems!"

"Hmm. Good luck. White never leaves her quarters these days, and she never lets anyone in, except you, I guess. It's so unfair. I have hundreds of successful colonies. But you get to see her just because your one colony is a failure!"

"Maybe you should try failing," Tammo suggested. "Then maybe you'd get to see her, too."

Yellow Diamond looked momentarily shocked, then started laughing hysterically. "Oh, Pink! You always did have a knack for making me laugh. You're almost worth the trouble."

A chime sounded. "Already?" Yellow complained. "Excuse me, I've got to go. I have to check on the latest Citrine production reports." She walked out of the sauna, leaving Tammo alone.

A moment later, Blue Pearl stuck her head in the door. "Pink Diamond, my Diamond has requested your presence."

"Hmm, maybe she'll be more helpful," Tammo mused.

Blue Pearl brought him to an indoor swimming pool. Blue Diamond was standing in the water. "Pink! Come in!" she called.

"Okay!" Tammo said. He ran and dived into the pool. Blue Diamond watched as he emerged from the water. "Whoo-hoo!" he laughed. "It's funny. On Earth, I used to live right next to the ocean, but I ended up going to space to swim, wot."

Blue Diamond gave him a funny look. "Why do you say the word 'what' at the end of every sentence? Sometimes more than once."

"Oh, it's because I'm British, don't ya know."

Blue smiled. "I'm so glad you're back… Tammo."

"Y-You actually said my name!" Tammo gasped. It was the first time he could remember any of the Diamonds doing that.

"It's such a funny sounding name," she said. "You're so creative, Pink. Remember when I let you name that batch of Pyrite 'Fool's Gold?' White was furious!" She let out a laugh.

"I'm sorry," said Tammo. "I don't remember."

"Oh. Do you remember the game we used to play here?" she asked. Tammo shook his head. "We had such fun together. You and I and Yellow and White."

"We were all together here?"

Blue nodded. "You would stand underwater, all the way at the bottom, and sing. And we would be above the surface trying to guess the song."

"Can we do that right now?" Tammo asked. "Maybe after we can talk White into coming back to Earth with us."

"No," said Blue. "We stopped coming here together after you left. That was the start of Era 2. No one wanted to be here, not with your empty spot. It was so quiet."

"I know you all have colony stuff to do, but we should spend more time together," Tammo said.

Just then Blue Pearl came in and stood at the edge of the pool. "My apologies, my Diamond, but it's time for your next appointment."

Blue Diamond sighed. "Of course."

"Wait!" Tammo exclaimed. "I wanted to talk to you 'bout White!"

"Later, perhaps," Blue Diamond said, climbing out of the pool. As she exited, the water all drained out, leaving Tammo lying flat on his stomach at the bottom.

That night, Tammo was back in his room, talking with his friends. "I barely got to talk to them at all," he said. "They're so busy! What did Pink do all day when she lived here? Did she have a job, or did she just sit in a room while they were off doing whatever?"

Pearl said, "Pink used to throw massive balls."

Tammo's ears perked up. "She was a juggler?"

"No- well, yes," Pearl said. "But she would also throw parties for the other Diamonds to mark their many accomplishments. Every member of every court would show up to bask in the presence of all four Diamonds."

"Even White 'ud come?" Tammo asked.

"Oh, yes!" Pearl answered.

"That's it, wot!" Tammo cried. "Do you remember back when I was a Dibbun and I couldn't come along on adventures with you?"

"I remember, all right," said Amethyst. "You pooped in your pants a lot back then." Pasque giggled.

"But even though I was little, and maybe kind of annoying, you'd still drop everything to hang out with me! Just like the other Diamonds did with Pink when she had her balls! So I'm gonna throw a huge ball, and I'm gonna invite everyone, wot wot!"
