So, there I was, the temporary boss of our pack. Now, don't get me wrong, Bulbasaur was technically in charge because Ash put him at the helm, but who's keeping tabs? Yep, it was my responsibility to oversee our little Pokémon training session at the Champion Tower.
The real stars of the show were Crocalor and Quilava going head-to-head. Those two were like fire and, well, fire. Quilava decided to unleash his Eruption move, flames shooting high, while Crocalor countered with Incinerate. Picture this: a geyser of red-orange fire clashing with fiery balls of doom. It was like fireworks, but with a touch of battle intensity. My little heart was swelling with pride, like a Pikachu dad watching his kids grow up.
However, my admiration was soon replaced by sheer bewilderment as I turned my attention to Dartrix and Dewott. What on earth were they up to? Their sparring session looked less like a Pokémon battle and more like a scene from a medieval duel. The elegance with which Dartrix wielded her sharp Leaf Blade, clashing with Dewott's equally sharp Razor Shell, was both astonishing and comical. These two were putting on a show straight out of a fencing tournament. Dartrix, elegant as ever, was pulling off Leaf Blade like a master swordswoman. On the other side, Dewott was no slouch, deflecting with Razor Shell in a dance of precision. I couldn't help but sweatdrop at the scene. It was like watching a Pokémon rendition of a swashbuckling duel. I guess they took the "spar" part quite literally. Dartrix's leafy blade meeting Dewott's shell sword – it was like a Pokémon fantasy movie unfolding before my eyes.
I let out a soft chuckle and shook my head. "These Pokémon and their unique ways," I mused. "But hey, as long as they're training hard and having fun, who am I to judge? Lugia knows I've done crazier things." With Ash away, it's up to me to ensure they're on the right track. And from what I'm seeing, they're doing just fine.
In that moment, I couldn't help but feel a mix of amusement and pride. These Pokémon were putting their heart and soul into their training. It was more than just moves and battles; it was a display of dedication and the strong bond they shared. Who knew Pikachu could be so sentimental, right? But hey, when you've been on as many adventures as I have, you start to appreciate the little things – like a good ol' Pokémon training session that turns into a theatrical masterpiece.
As I was basking in the glory of our little Pokémon training spectacle, the training yard was suddenly engulfed in four radiant white lights. I couldn't help but sweatdrop, and not just because of the intense training session. No, it was one of those moments again – the classic Ash Ketchum special, where multiple Pokémon decide it's evolution o'clock simultaneously. Most trainers would throw a party if just one Pokémon evolved, but not Ash. Nope, he hit the jackpot with four of them evolving at the same time. Talk about Ketchum Luck!
First up was Dewott, evolving into the mighty Hisuian Samurott. Now, that's a mouthful, but trust me, the transformation was jaw-dropping. Hisuian Samurott, a rare regional variant native to the Hisui region from times long gone, emerged in all her Water and Dark-type glory. The differences were subtle yet striking. Her whiskers were now wavy, not straight like her Unovan counterpart, and the lower set of whiskers sported a majestic length.
But it didn't stop there. The shell armor covering her head and limbs had undergone a makeover – black with vibrant red accents, giving her an almost regal appearance. The shell on her head boasted two new lateral spines absent in the Unovan version, and that spiny anterior horn? Crooked and wavy, making her look like a true warrior of the Hisui region. The bracers and seamitars were sharper, more curved, and the blades now had a beautiful wavy pattern. Hisuian Samurott's hind limbs had one less layer of shell armor, and the armored portion of her tail was longer and wavier. The claws? A striking shade of red. It was like Dewott had gone through a Pokémon fashion makeover, and the result was nothing short of spectacular.
The show continued with Quilava stepping up to the plate. The fiery powerhouse evolved into the magnificent Hisuian Typhlosion, a mesmerizing Fire and Ghost-type Pokémon. Hisuian Typhlosion's ears drooped with a charming nonchalance beside his head, exuding an aura of laid-back coolness. The fur on his back took on a purplish-blue hue, forming a striking collar pattern around his neck. What stole the spotlight, though, were the fire-producing spots encircling his neck. Flames wisped in a radiant magenta-red, creating an otherworldly spectacle. It was like Quilava had become the guardian of the Hisui region's fiery essence.
But wait, there's more! Dartrix, not one to be left behind, went through her own remarkable evolution into the captivating Hisuian Decidueye. This Grass and Fighting-type Pokémon had a distinct charm compared to her Alolan counterpart. The wings, while smaller, hinted at a newfound strength, and her legs were noticeably more robust. The plumes around her ankles cascaded elegantly, and her feet, now black with white talons, added a touch of fierceness. The head and neck covering, adorned in shades of red with orange and white accents, resembled an ayaigasa, giving her an air of mystery and tradition. Hisuian Decidueye's wings seemed to have more layers, and the rachises of her feathers had a special trick up their sleeve – they could store air, allowing this majestic Pokémon to endure the extreme cold of the Hisui region. It will work wonders with the cold of this time period as well. It was a practical yet beautiful adaptation, showcasing the resilience of Pokémon in this unique corner of the Pokémon world. Especially, since her Alolan counterpart adapted to the heat of the Alolan sun.
I was practically doing somersaults of joy by now. I couldn't contain my excitement. I hopped up and down, my little cheeks practically sparking with joy. My brother's team had just leveled up big time, and we now had a Hisuian Samurott ready to conquer the training grounds. Evolution party at the Champion Tower, anyone? Life with Ash was always an electrifying adventure, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
And just when I thought the evolution carnival was slowing down, Crocalor stepped into the limelight. The fiery crocodile morphed into the enigmatic Skeledirge, a mesmerizing Fire and Ghost dual-type Pokémon. Skeledirge's transformation was nothing short of spectacular. This Pokémon was a visual feast, covered in rectangular scales with a distinctive angular belly resembling an open suit jacket and dress shirt. Her white coloration flanked by black stripes created a sharp and stylish contrast. As Skeledirge prowled the grounds, her appearance exuded a confident elegance, almost like she was ready to walk a ghostly red carpet.
But the real showstopper? Skeledirge's head, adorned with various white-colored patterns resembling a lute. The attention to detail was astounding, with black circular shapes, yellow irises, and red eyelids adding an air of mystery to her gaze. The serrated jaws with purple insides hinted at her dual Fire and Ghost typing, and a wreath of orange-and-yellow fire energy circled her head, creating an otherworldly aura.
What took the spotlight, however, was the fascinating addition to Skeledirge's ensemble – a fiery bird perched on top of her head. This separate, independent entity with a spherical form, yellow face, and white eyes. The legend had it that the bird was born when the egg-shaped fireball Skeledirge carried as a Crocalor gained a soul. This mystical birth also bestowed Skeledirge with its Ghost typing, making it a dual-type marvel. The fiery bird, a tiny but powerful companion, balanced itself on a singular pointed "foot" and occasionally pecked at Skeledirge's jaws. It was a sight to behold, the perfect fusion of fire and ghostly elegance.
Every Pokémon of Ash's, that was not patrolling the Orange Islands, gathered in a joyful huddle, celebrated the evolution of four of our youngest members, that just unfolded in the training yard. Still basking in the glow of the recent evolutions, I was relishing the collective achievement of the team. The sense of camaraderie among us was electrifying.
I was looking around at the evolved Pokémon. "Wow, what a day! Everyone's evolved!"
Bulbasaur sauntered over with a smirk. "Yep, and it's about to get a whole lot more interesting."
I turned to one of my oldest friends curiously. "What do you mean?"
"Think about it. The Hisuian starters? They can't just roam around the Orange Islands. Ash hasn't covered up that whole Paldea mess from last years' time travel adventure." Bulbasaur pointed out. "Our Trainer has yet to come up with a believable lie for the public to buy why Pokémon variations we have long thought lost to the ages have come back."
"Oh Lugia, you're right. We need to keep them hidden. But how?" I sighed.
"Galarian Slowbro and Galarian Slowking will most likely be working overtime until that is dealt with," Bulbasaur shook his head. "My other concern is..." he pauses for dramatic effect "... you'll have to tell Ash about missing another set of evolutions."
I froze in shock, eyes widening in horror. "You heartless leaf! You're leaving that to me?"
"Well, someone must do it. And it's definitely not going to be me." Bulbasaur laughed, I could hear the evil undertone in his voice.
"You know how Ash feels about these things! Missing an evolution is a big deal!" I whined. "He will be inconsolable!"
Bulbasaur grinned evilly. "Exactly! That's why I'm leaving it to you. Have fun with that!"
"You're such a monster." I groaned.
Bulbasaur winked. "Just doing my part to keep things interesting around here."
I rolled my eyes but smiled. "Yeah, yeah. Just remember, what goes around, comes around!"
"Looking forward to it, buddy!"
