What is a Yoshinon?

If I don't change it this chapter will be released on the 22nd of December of 2023. Not a typo. Capital December. Because I feel like it. And I am german. So early Merry Christmas. This month sucked for me for undisclosed reasons... I am happy to have my Christmas vacation now!

So this is about after the season 4 start with the whole convention stuff. Not that necessary to have watched it for this but still. Shidou and the gang (for some reason now + Origami as of end of S3 and S4. She is also part of the Spirit release gang as well... Ratatoskr. Aha. The more you know the better I guess...) decide that they have to enter a drawing contest to help Nia Honjo the first Spirit of this season. Or ninth Spirit in total. in the Anime. Rasiel. To beat her and have her read the manga they used to release her. So they go with Natsumi's design.

This was a loooooooooooong way of saying Natsumi now has the hobby of drawing. As of the start of the fourth season. Oh and she does not really transform anymore. Having an adult body might have helped you not to break down. But her powers are prominently used by Shidou in this season.

This is a crossover between The Witches Show and Cute Avalanche so to say. But I am putting it in The Witches Show. It lacks content.

A Natsumi x Yoshino x Yoshinon x her mother? I normally do not have Yoshino and Yoshinon speak in my stories. Zero. It is always observational. As I like to call it. They can swap personalities in an instant in conversations. Or flip the table on you. And they do. But it works. We have other characters with multiple personalities but there it is always a either or. It does not jump from one second to the other and back.

By the way. I have about ten plushies or so. I lost count then. Some look questionable at first glance... This will be important in this story.

"Hey Natsumi!"

"Hm?"

Suddenly there was a plushie near my face

"Whatcha doin'?"

"Oh nothing specifically.

Just drawing some stuff...

Trying myself at another manga.

There are still things missing though.

I have taken a liking to it lately."

"Can I take a look?"

A Yoshino now also popped up as well.

"I would love to see it as well..."

She asks quietly

"Sure.

But I am not quite finished yet."

"Haha.

They look really funny."

"Hey you shouldn't say that.

I think they look great.

Even though there are still some things.

But that does not mean that it is bad."

"Well it should be from the start."

Getting dissed by a plushie.

Where have I gotten?

"Well as I said.

I am still at it.

I want to get it just right.

And I won't stop until I have it right.

It is like a story.

If you want to take pride in your work.

You want it to be the best it can be.

So you take your time.

You make sure everything is flawless.

It can start chaotically.

Lots of broken little pieces.

But if you do it right.

They all come together.

At some point."

"Sounds deep."

"I quite like it."

"Can you maybe draw me?"

The plushie asks me

"A rabbit?

Sure thing."

"What?

Yoshinon is not a rabbit.

Yoshinon is Yoshinon."

"But Yoshinon...

You are a rabbit."

"AM NOT."

"But if you are not a rabbit.

What are you then?

The person who made you must have had something in their mind."

Normally at least.

I kind of think that there is a story to be told here.

Maybe I should listen!

" Indeed.

My creator had me being Yoshino's companion.

It was Yoshino's mother.

Nagisa Himekawa.

So she designed me to be what Yoshino loves the most.

And named me after her daughter Yoshino."

"Oh wow.

My mother did do that with that in mind?

That is so embarrassing.

I would not have expected that."

"And I am proud of it.

And your mother also took pride in my creation.

As she should."

Wow.

That is baffling.

An incredible story.

It was just waiting to be told.

And it paints a huge picture.

A happy family.

If I would want to draw Yoshinon.

Just drawing a rabbit would not be enough.

There was much more to it than that!

"That is incredible...

Both are satisfied.

I think they always wanted to share that story.

But didn't have the chance to.

"What is your mother doing now?"

"Well...

She died shortly before I turned into a Spirit.

And Yoshinon came alive."

Maybe I should not have asked.

"But I don't think that she has to be sad.

After all both of you are happy.

And that is the most important thing."

"That is true."

Now there was a laugh and a bright smile on Yoshino's face.

She was very satisfied and felt warm.

Contrary to her usual shyness.

And that makes me happy too
