Hello everyone,

I just wanted to say a big thank you to all the wonderful submissions I've been getting. I do apologize if my previous author's note came across as harsh, I think I was just frustrated because one submitter was being ridiculous and not understanding the assignment, and taking it out on me.

However, the rest of you have been wonderful and truly understand what is required of you and I haven't had to turn down a single submission on the basis that it's unrealistic, so thank you for understanding the rigid nature of this story and working with me to make characters that would fit and further serve the plot.

I have thought of some worldbuilding that I think is important to know for your forms, rather than message each of you individually, I thought it best to make this note.

So, as children (aged 12 and under) they would have relatively decent lives and been treated relatively well. The Overseers would be friendly and all smiles and try to ensure that each child reached their developmental milestones. However, when they moved onto their let's call them senior classes things flipped like a switch, the Overseers were harsh, strict and uncaring, and it would have been an adjustment. They would not be seeing the same Overseers they saw as kids, because the Overseers they saw previously would have formed a bond with them and would not have easily been able to switch their approach, so basically their whole world gets rocked. When they transition, they are introduced to The Hunger Games and start serving their real purpose in the facility - leverage against their Victor parent.

I hope that all makes sense, and if you have any questions feel free to message me.

I will try to update on Christmas Eve as a Christmas present for you all.

Happy Holidays, and keep the submissions coming!
