Final Chapter: I Want to Break Free
Somewhere in a grassy field, Blaze was laying flat on the ground with her eyes closed and her arms and legs spread out on the grass. The shadows of the trees were covering her in the shade. She laid there motionless for a while until the sun in the sky was right above her face. Bother by light as she turned her head to avoid the light, it made her eyelids rinse and teeth grit for she actually felt comfortable the way was on the ground.
Once she gained consciousness, Blaze quickly shot open her eyes to remember what was happening moments ago as she lifted her torso up from the ground while gasping out loud. She remembered that she was fighting her corrupted counterpart Queen Blaze alongside Sonic, Shivera, Honey, Tails, and Knuckles who wanted to save the world that she was abusing her powers with.
More memories appeared as she remembered how she was fighting in her Burning Blue form against Queen Blaze's Black Queen form and was able to use Sol Control to rewind time to save the lives of her friends. Then she remembered giving the Queen a beating and even got pressured by her to snap her neck much like how the Queen did to Eggman Nega.
As she thought about being her Burning Blue form, Blaze gazed down on herself to see she was back to her normal form and color. The feline remembers using her powers to save the Queen Blaze as she touches her forehead with hers, entering the depths of her mind using the power of her Burning Blue form with Sol Control.
Blaze looked around her surroundings to see she was alone, not her friends or the Queen were present. There was nothing but trees and grass around her. She knew she was in the Queen's mind but it felt very real as she touched the grass firmly with her hands.
"Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?" Blazes asked, while still touching the grass.
The feline then stood up from the ground and began looking around and shouted. "Hello!" Blaze yelled if anyone was around.
It was dead silent for there was no noise around to be heard. Not even the gentle sound of the wind was making the waving sound of tree leaves. Just the sound of Blaze's footsteps is what could be heard the more she walked. Wanting to get a move on, Blaze headed in the direction she was facing, seeing she was in unfamiliar territory.
As Blaze walked, she noticed that she hadn't seen a single life form. There were no bugs or wild animals of any sort to be seen. She thought to herself she was probably the only living being breathing but dismissed the idea for she knew the Queen was somewhere in this strange fantasy world she entered.
Blaze kept walking until she saw a light at the end of the forest pathway she took. She covered her eyes for the light was bright, but because of that she didn't realize that there was a landslide at the end of the pathway and ended up falling down from it as she let out a little yell before falling.
The princess was rolling down the landslide, uncontrollably as she tried her best to stop rolling. It came to a stop as her body rolled on the ground below. She lifted her face off the floor and slowly got to her feet as she dusted off the dirt on her clothes.
As she was dusting her clothes, her eyes caught something in the distance. Before Blaze could start running off, she looked up to see some dark cloud covering the blue as thunder roared and rain began pouring harshly. Blaze positioned herself and ran towards the mysterious place before she became soaking wet from the rain. The more she ran towards the place where the mysterious place was, it got bigger with each running step she took.
It soon became clear what she saw was a building. Not just an ordinary building, but a castle, her castle to be exact. It looked the same as when she left it from her version of the Sol Dimension. Same decor. stone wall, and large wooden door.
Blaze was even more curious to see why her castle was here, but it made sense that it used to be Queen Blaze's castle before making a new one to her own liking. Blaze got between the double door and pushed really hard. With all her might she managed to get inside her castle.
Upon entering, she shook her body to dry herself from the rain that suddenly appeared. She looked and the place was dark except for the windows and murals on the castle walls were lighting up parts of the castle on the inside. As Blaze stepped away from the door, it quickly slammed behind her on its own.
The noise from the door being slammed shut echoed the place for there was no other noise being made. Much like how Blaze was outside, there was no other living being in the castle. It weirded out Blaze seeing her castle like this for she was used to the sight of her castle maids, workers, and royal guards roaming around doing their duties and greeting her.
Blaze looked back at the closed door behind her. She knew there was no going back after seeing that, but she had no intention of giving up looking for her counterpart who was somewhere in the castle. She continued onwards taking each step carefully as they too echo through castle walls.
She was looking around to see and feel how the decor was similar to her castle from her dimension, it felt so real as she would knock it on the wall to feel its strong hold. As Blaze kept walking, she entered a hallway of doors that would lead to some rooms that maids and workers would use to do their work around the castle.
Curious, Blaze walked towards one of the doors to see if there was anyone in them. She stood in front of the doors and gently opened it as she turned the doorknob that felt cold to touch. She only opened slightly just enough to her head to stick out. Blaze entered through the door carefully only to be outside again however it was night time with no rain and there were small multiple lights flying around in the distance.
Blaze cautiously to where the small moving lights were at and took a closer look at the lights to see they were small fireflies flying around the area. The lights from the tiny fireflies were helping Blaze navigate through the night. When she reached the spot where most of the fireflies seemed to gather around, her eyes widened for what she saw in front of her. She saw a small girl sitting on the ground with her legs crossed. The little girl looked familiar to Blaze but soon realized who she was when she turned her head to look at the fireflies around her.
This little girl turned out to be Blaze when she was a young kitten. Blaze was shocked to see her younger self right in front of her. The young Blaze was busy as she was looking around at the fireflies flying around her. She had a calm smile and she was admiring the view that fireflies were creating their lights around her. The young Blaze stuck out her hand and stood still for a while. A firefly soon landed on young Blaze's palm after a bit of waiting.
The young kitten carefully pulled her hand towards her eyes for she wanted to get a closer look at the firefly that landed on the palm of her hand. She giggled happily seeing the firefly flickering its lights like it was putting on a show for her. She looked at both arms to see more fireflies landing on her. She cutely giggled more for it felt like she was being hugged by them.
"I….remember this." Blaze said to herself, as she continued to watch the scene.
Blaze realized when she spoke, her younger self didn't look at her. The feline stood beside the young cat and waved her hand at her. Young Blaze didn't seem to notice Blaze at all. Blaze then tried to tap the kitten only for her hand to go through the young Blaze like if she was a ghost.
The older feline finally figured it out. This whole scenario was a memory from her past that was behind the door. Not just her's but the Queen's past as well since they share a familiar background. Blaze saw how happy and relaxed she was during this moment with the fireflies. This was a time before she had some time to herself to enjoy before focusing on her royal duties as the princess and guardian of the Sol Emeralds.
She remembered staying here all night wanting to get away from the castle grounds, wanting a sense of freedom from the royalty life. The fireflies felt they were her only friends where they could be themselves around her. Whereas everyone at the castle treated Blaze the same and nicely because of her royal status giving fake smiles. Because of that things were always boring and bland.
As young Blaze was enjoying her time with the fireflies, the older Blaze looked over to the left and saw the sunlight slowly rising up from the horizon. When the sunlight was about to hit young Blaze, the fireflies around her startled and flew away as they hid in the trees not wanting to be blinded by the sun's light.
"Don't go." Young Blaze said, saddened by her little friends scattered away.
Not only did her fireflies friends go away made her sad. It also meant that young Blaze had to go back to her castle and prepare her royal studies before anyone finds out she's been sneaking out early mornings to do this.
"I don't wanna go back." The young cat said to herself.
With a sad face, young Blaze stood up and began walking away from the area. Blaze watched her younger self walk away until she suddenly disappeared out of thin air. The feline knew this memory of childhood was over and went back to the door she came in from.
Blaze exited out and was back in the castle hallways of doors. Experiencing what just happened, the princess looked at all the doors in the hallways and figured that these doors lead to memory of her and the Queen's past. What really questions Blaze is to see how much the Queen's life was different in the middle part since she never met the likes of Cream and Sonic. A part of Blaze was worried but she must know more about the Queen that Gardon never witnessed.
Wanting to see more, Blaze walked over to the next door to open it. She entered the door and found herself in the ballroom of her castle. Blaze looked to see a crowd of people walking around drinking and eating under the beautiful chandeliers of the castle. Blaze remembers these as meetings of the noblemen discussing the future of their kingdom that was soon going to be under her hands.
Much like before, Blaze walked through the crowd like they were ghosts and none of them noticed her. She kept walking until she finally saw her younger self again, only this time she looked a bit older.
The pre teen Blaze was trying to be formal and serious as she sat on her throne and watched the people around have a good time. Blaze looked at her pre teen self carefully for she knew what she was thinking at the time.
She remembered how bored she was just sitting there on her royal throne trying to set an example to everyone how serious she is being the princess and guardian of the Sol Emeralds at such a young age. Blaze looked to see some noblemen walking towards her wanting to meet and greet their highness.
They bowed to her to which pre teen Blaze replied back with a hand gesture. The noblemen left her after that and she let out a quiet sigh. The young Blaze looked outside the windows of her castle walls for she could see it was nighttime. Right now she wished she could be outside and be with the fireflies to play with them but couldn't for she was stuck here at the meeting and the royal army was outside guarding the castle preventing any intruders.
The younger Blaze sighs once again before more noble people walk up to her to greet. The other Blaze and the people around soon began to disappear out of thin air for this memory came to an end. Blaze had a worried look, for she knew not long after this event she would have her first encounter with Eggman Nega who was the main source of her problems over the coming years after many battles. The feline headed back to the door and was back again in the castle hallway of doors.
Blaze went on a spree as she kept checking each door that led to a memory that she and the Queen shared. During the memories she witnessed, she hated how mean and strict she was before meeting her friends, happy that she changed her attitude since then. Though there were some where she looked the more sad and depressed she looked in each of them. She remembered most of these memories, remembering what she felt at the time, feeling how she felt trapped by her royal duties.
She kept checking each door until finally until she entered a memory that she doesn't recall having. It wasn't only the door where for their many others memories she doesn't remember having at all. Blaze quickly figured out that now she has reached the Queen's personal memories of her past that differs from her and proceeded with more cautious.
Blaze decided to check one more door wanting to see more of the Queen's past. She opened it and found herself in her royal bedroom but nobody was around. The feline looked around until the bedroom door slowly opened up making a loud creaking sound.
Coming from the door was another Blaze, but to the Blaze's surprise the other Blaze's appearance was horrifying. Her body was completely beaten up and her parts of her clothes were torn up. She had bruises and blood marks around her body. It's a miracle she was even standing up in such a condition. Blaze watched as her other self walked in her room with her beaten up body as she walked past her.
Blaze made a guess and figured that the other Blaze had just come back from a battle against Eggman Nega who she managed to beat but was badly wounded from the aftermath and before she completely lost her mind after snapping Eggman Nega's neck. The other Blaze sat in front of her dressing mirror and began to ponder as she looked at herself. Her body was shaking non stop while she looked at herself in the mirror and breathed softly as blood was slowly dripping on the floor.
She was trying too hard to hold back her true feelings until she slammed her hands on the desk. The other Blaze tried clenching her fist really hard as tears started to come out from her eyes, failing to keep them.
"Why?!" The other Blaze yelled as she continued. "Why does my life have to be this way!?"
Blaze saw the anger and frustration in her other self as she kept watching the scene. "I work hard every day of my life. Working every bone in my body to protect this world. I feel trapped. It's nothing but work and fighting Eggman Nega. Is that what I'm going to be doing for the rest of my life?" She cried.
She looked back at herself in the mirror. Her beaten face made her more sad and felt like there was a lump in her throat the more she tried to hold back her sadness. "I want…..." The other Blaze spoke before finishing and took a deep breath.
"I want to break free."
Blaze wanted to comfort her other self but remembered this was just a memory. After briefly crying to herself for a moment, Blaze watched the other self stand up and went to the bathroom to clean off the blood stains off her body and let out more of her emotions before the medics and nurses came in to patch her up.
The feline then left the memory scene for there was nothing left to show and went back to the door which led her back to the hallway. The feline closed the door gently and began reflecting on her counterpart's memories.
She never realized how her life would be different if she continued this path if she never meant Sonic, Cream, and others unlike her counterpart. Blaze was relieved that she had but still felt sorry for the other Blaze. Deep down she knew her counterpart needed someone who would have treated her like a regular person rather than a princess. She also needed help but Blaze knew how stubborn and cold she was accepting others' help for she thought it showed weakness.
Blaze leaned her back on the wall and as she sat down to rest and began to think what to do next with her eyes closed. While it was useful to know more of the Queen's history, her friends are still out there waiting for her to come back and to put a stop to the Queen's heating of the world.
She lifted her head and when she opened her eyes she saw a familiar door. The door had Blaze's fire symbol on it and it was odd that it appeared right in front of her. Unlike the previous door, this door is very unlikely a memory door and actually led to her bedroom.
Blaze knew this was it, inside the door was the Queen herself. She got up and carefully walked over to the door across the hallway. With caution, touch the door knob and twist it softly trying not to make a sound from it. She opened the door slowly and saw her room with the only source of light being from the door she was entering.
She left the door wide open wanting some lights to help look around. Blaze headed towards her large bedroom window as she searched around. It was pretty much identical to the one she had back in her dimension and in the memory she just witnessed. Everything seems to be in place as if someone just cleaned her room.
Blaze headed towards her large bedroom window for she wanted more light in the room to see more clearly. The feline tried to pull the window apart but it wouldn't open. As she tried to pull the window open, in the reflection she saw something move in her bed which made her stop opening the window.
The princess gazed over to her bed and saw something move briefly under the bedsheets. More curious than ever before, she walked over to her bed and the more she got closed the more whoever was underneath her bed sheets was shaking.
It was shaking as if it was afraid of Blaze's presence in the room and didn't want to be found. The sound of small whimpers could then be heard. Blaze gripped the bedsheets with both her hands and yanked them as the bedsheets floated in front of her face for a moment.
"Please don't hurt me!" Said a female voice.
As the bedsheets fell off from Blaze, she looked down on her bed and saw another Blaze. Only this time this one was real and knew that she was right there. The other Blaze was shaking in fear as she faced the other way with her hands covering her face. This version looks to be exactly the same by appearance alone, having the same outfit and color fur.
However when it comes to personality, she seemed so weak and afraid that Blaze couldn't never see herself in such a state. But right now wasn't the time to scold her other self's cowardly nature and needed her to help out.
"Is she really the Queen?" Blaze thought to herself.
"Please, I'm doing what you say. I'm staying in my room like you wanted me to. I'll never leave." The scared Blaze said, looking away from Blaze.
Blaze was shocked by what she heard. Her other self was forced to stay in this room but by who she wondered. As far as Blaze can tell only she and the other Blaze were the only living beings in the castle when she entered. The door wasn't even locked meaning she was too scared to even set foot outside even if she wanted to.
The feline had a lot of answers but she first tried to calm down her other self who was scared just by someone looking at her. Blaze gently sat on the bed and stayed silent. She was trying to think of something to say to her other self but couldn't find the right words.
It stayed silent for a while until the other Blaze finally spoke. "I killed them." She said, shamelessly.
Blaze looked over to her other self. The other Blaze slowly uncovered her face with her hands. Their amber color eyes finally met. The other Blaze looked away in shame. Blaze knew right away what the other self meant by 'killing them'. She must remember all the lives she took and felt nothing but regret.
The frightened feline spoke again. Her tone was shaky and quiet. "I'm a monster. A horrible evil creature. I deserve to die." She said to Blaze. "My ancestors, Gardon, the kingdom, and the world. I have failed them all."
Blaze did her best to comfort the feline. "It's not your fault, it was Eggman Nega who pushed you too far." She said to her.
"But I was the one who snapped his neck. It was my choice alone." The other Blaze said, feeling regret.
Blaze placed a hand on her other self's cheek. "Eggman Nega knew how fragile you were getting with each battle you fought him against. Each time he would say or do something to get under your skin. I should know I fought him too." She said.
"You do?" The other Blaze said, a bit curious.
"Yes, I'm you after all. Eggman Nega tried to get under my skin as well. But never work, not after I met them." Blaze said, softly smiling.
"Who's them?"
Blaze's smile grew more, "My friends." She answered.
"Friends? You have…friends?"
"Yes my friends. Ever since I met them my life has never been boring. Because of them I was able to open up and grow more than I already have. It helps me be a better princess and protector." Blaze said, smiling at the thought of her friends.
The other Blaze was amazed to see Blaze smiling thinking about her friends. The sadden feline was thinking how much her life would have been different if she learned to open up more to others. She quickly got rid of those ideas feeling something like that is not possible to have.
"It's too late for me. I lost it a long time ago." The other Blaze said.
Blaze nodded her head, "That's not true." She said scooting closer to the other cat. "You're still here for a reason."
The other Blaze stayed quiet, trying to get what Blaze meant as she spoke more. "If it's truly too late, then you wouldn't be around. I know deep down there's a bit of hope inside you that you want to live the life you want." Blaze said, comforting her other self.
"I can help, but only if you allow yourself to open up to others." Blaze said, offering her hand to help. "What do you say?"
The other Blaze hesitant seeing Blaze offer her hand. She couldn't believe despite all the things she had done to her and her friends, Blaze was still willing to help get through her troubles. She looked at Blaze's face to see there was no trace of evil or dishonesty in her voice and expression. It was as if her mirror reflection finally talked back to her after telling her all of her troubles over the years.
The feline found herself raising her hand up and grip Blaze's hand. Blaze smiled softly and helped the other cat off her bed. She finally stood up on her feet as Blaze smiled and nodded at her, happy she made the right choice.
"Come on, let's get out of this prison cell of a castle." Blaze said, as the other Blaze nodded.
Blaze held her counterpart's hand gently as they headed to the door to exit their room. Blaze was the first one to step out of the door. She looked back to the other Blaze who was very cautious and nervous about stepping out of her room for the first time in a long time.
"It's okay, don't worry. The first step is always the hardest. It gets easier the more you do it." Blaze said, trying to make the situation less difficult.
The other Blaze nodded and carefully lifted her foot out of the room. She then made a soft step as she finally set foot outside of her room. She took another with her other foot and now had her whole body out of the room.
It was an exhilarating feeling the other Blaze felt finally stepping out the room. She was still nervous because she was looking left and right. The feline felt her hand grip hard and looked at Blaze.
"I'm right here, I'm with you every step in the way." Blaze said to the feline.
Blaze while holding her other self's hand started walking towards the direction of the exit of the castle. The other Blaze was still looking nervously and afraid she was still unsure that what they were doing was a good choice. Right before Blaze could make a corner turn of the hallway, something made them stop dead in their tracks.
"Where do you think you're going?" Said a voice behind the two purple felines.
Both Blazes stood frozen as they heard the voice and felt an intense heat coming from behind them. Blaze looked back and was shocked by what she saw. At the other side of the hallway was the Queen herself, but most notably she was still in her Black Queen form.
What was different was that her face had a much more terrifying look for she no longer had blue eyes for they are mostly blank now. From where her mouth is, it slowly ripped open to form a big monstrous mouth showing her off her many pointy and sharp teeth.
Blaze was a bit overwhelmed seeing the Queen's Black Queen form become its own thing and separate from the other Blaze. Blaze looked at her other self who was very scared and couldn't control her breathing properly as she looked at the Queen's form.
"Did you really think you could just walk into my mind and get away? You're a fool thinking that." The Queen said.
Blaze frowned as she pulled out her hand. She tried to shoot her fireball but nothing was coming out from her hand. It seems she can't use her pyrokinetics abilities while she was in the Queen's mind.
"My fire powers, they're not working?!" Blaze said, looking at her hand.
The Queen laughed seeing how Blaze failed. "Is this your best attempt to save that little princess you have in your hand. Why bother? She's weak like she's always been and that's why I'm here because I have full control over her." The Queen said.
The monster feline looked at the other Blaze who was too stunned to talk at all. "You! You're supposed to stay in your room like I told you! I guess I really have to lock you in there by force!" She said, pointing at the feline.
"Well she had a change of plan. She's coming with me to get out of this cursed castle." Blaze said, defending the feline.
"There's no escape. This is my world I rule! Ain't nobody leaving!" Said the Queen.
Both Blazes then turned to look to see the walls of the castle started oozing what seemed to be blood. It was slowly painting the walls as the glass windows and murals were starting to rot. The whole inside of the castle was covered in a red light with dark shadows.
Coming from the walls, ground, and ceiling out popped dead burn corpses started to form around the three cats. Everywhere they looked they saw burned corpses moaning and wailing around in pain and misery. Blaze figured these were supposed to be the dead bodies of the Queen who she had taken their lives. The other Blaze was just speechless and started backing away from all the victims she had killed in her ruling.
Other Blaze stopped when she felt her arm getting grabbed. She looked to see the burn corpses grabbing hold of her arm and stared at her with its dark hole eyes as it spoke to her. Other Blaze was too terrified and frozen to break herself free from the grip.
"You….killed…us…" said the burning corpse to the other Blaze.
The other burn corpses all began to repeat what the corpse said to the Other Blaze as they all looked at her with shame. It felt like she was in a nightmare being in the room with these corpses. The other Blaze started to scream in terror while Blaze was keeping her bravery so she was not easily intimidated by the Queen's trick. The Queen was just laughing and loving the scenery and mocked her weaker self for being so scared.
The Queen blasted a huge fireball at the two felines. Blaze quickly grabbed her other self as they ducked in time to avoid the fireball attack. Blaze looked up to see the Queen speed walking towards them and was ready to shoot another fireball as she burned through the burning corpse on her way.
Blaze got up as well as her other self who she had no choice but to run since she can't fight back using her fire powers against the Queen. Blaze held tightly on the other Blaze's hand as they began to run away to safety.
The two felines were desperately running away from the castle hallways, avoiding the many living dead corpses that they tried to grab their arms and legs. Blaze was trying her best to reach the exit but for some reason the castle was changing directions as she ran. It was like the castle was making them run in circles no matter which turn they took.
The Queen threw another fireball at Blaze and the other Blaze quickly ducked on the floor to avoid the attack. Blaze gritted her teeth while the other was crying and had a terrifying look on her face as they saw the Queen getting close to them.
Seeing how running in the hallway was getting them nowhere. Blaze randomly picked a door bringing the other Blaze with her in it. They entered what seemed to be the castle kitchen. They looked around for a hiding spot as they were surrounded by knives, spoons, plates, and folks.
They found a spot near a cabinet and hid behind it. The other Blaze wanted to cry but Blaze covered her mouth to prevent her from making a sound. Blaze looked over and saw another doorway at the other side of the kitchen. Before she could think about moving, she saw the Queen entering the kitchen and began searching for the two cats.
"Come out! I know you're hiding in here!" The Queen said, in a mocking tone.
She started thrashing around the kitchen as the knives, spoons, forks and plates fell and spread all over the floor. The large sounds made the two feline's ears hurt hearing so much noise being caused but did their best to keep quiet and hide their appearance.
The Queen began searching around the cabinets for the two felines. She would throw the cabinets away when two of the felines weren't there. The other Blaze was trying really hard not to scream as she heard the Queen's footsteps get louder, signaling she was getting near where they were.
From the corner of her other Blaze's eye, she saw a black hand on the edge of the cabinet next to her. The other Blaze slowly looked over to the left and saw the Queen slowly sticking out her head. She was smiling at the other Blaze finally finding her.
The other Blaze was about ready to scream in horror and the Queen was ready to grab them. Then suddenly out of nowhere, a kitchen knife suddenly flew past the other Blaze's face and hit the Queen's right eye causing her to scream in pain with her horrifying voice as she wailed around.
Blaze was the one who threw the knife at the Queen. She managed to grab a knife that was near her and was waiting for the opportunity to throw it. Blaze took the chance to grab herself and headed to the door on the other side as the Queen was wailing in pain as black color blood was leaking from her right eye. The Queen without being carefully pulled the knife off her right eye and was angry like never before as black blood was leaking from her right eye.
" You will have a painful death just for that!" She yelled, throwing the blood covered knife on the ground.
The two cats managed to exit the kitchen. Despite the Queen still chasing them, Blaze's surprised knife attack slowed down the Queen's movement giving them the advantage to get away even further from her.
The chase kept going as the two felines tried to find the exit of the castle with the Queen still after them. There was no help coming for them and Blaze had used her tactics to hurt the Queen to slow her down.
As they ran through the castle hallways, Blaze would grab items that were around like plates and vases and throw them at the Queen and hit her. As the Queen was trying her best to catch them, the items would cause her to trip or make her stop.
The chase went on, the two felines were reaching the final set of hallways of doors. The two felines kept looking around trying to get in one of the doors of the hallways to escape. But that changed when the door itself began to change as the burn corpses suddenly popped out and prevented the two cats from entering.
The cats backed away and saw the other doors they ran past slowly being blocked by the other burn corpses one by one. Blaze acted fast as she held the other Blaze's hand tightly as they ran through the hallway of the doors. Blaze looked to see more of the doors being locked from both her right and left side view.
Blaze saw one door in the center of the hallway and saw it was their chance to escape. With much speed the two cats managed to reach the center door of the red blood painted hallway just before the burn corpses blocked them.
Entering the room surprised the two cats when they laid what's inside of it after Blaze locked the door. The room looked completely normal, having some regular lighting and cozy decor. The room had a chair with a small table with a glass drink and a plate with a slice cake on it. A large red carpet was spread almost covering the floor of the room and a picture of a young Blaze was displayed on the wall.
What really stood from the room was a large black color grand piano with a seat standing over the large red carpet. Both Blaze recognize this as the old music room that was taken down before making a study room for Blaze to learn how to do her royal duties.
The two cats were amazed to see the old room from their childhood but were quickly interrupted when the door to the room started banging out loud. "Come out! There's no escape route in that room!" Yelled the voice that belonged to the queen.
The two Blaze started to look around only for Queen Blaze to be right that there was no escape route no matter how hard they looked. Blaze kept looking around as she ran around the room still not wanting to give up. The other Blaze watched as her legs were shaking, hoping there was a chance to escape.
In a desperate attempt, Blaze started to punch the wall with all her might. She was hoping that she could create a crack to make a hole for them to escape from. Blaze yelled loud with each punch she gave. It would have been a lot easier to make a hole if she had her pyrokinetics powers at the moment instead of her raw strength. Blaze's knuckles were starting to go numb as she was breathing heavily. This didn't stop Blaze as she kept punching the wall.
"Help me! We can still make it out! " Blaze said, looking at the other Blaze.
The other Blaze nodded in shame and she looked defeated. "What's the point? There's no chance of us escaping now. We're both doomed to fail. The Queen is just gonna get what she wants." She said, looking at the ground.
"We can still get out if we work together!" Blaze yelled, while still punching the wall.
"I've never worked with others before. I never needed to is what I kept telling myself. Everyone around me just saw me for my royal status. Nobody ever wanted to be friends with me. That's why I have no one." The other Blaze said.
Blaze was surprised hearing those words and felt sorry for her other self. It was true her life would have been different if she didn't push people away and had more confidence in herself. She didn't realize it would cost her friends and a normal life.
"That's not true. I know plenty of people that want to be your friend. They don't care that you're a princess. All they care about is you and how you are. They will never abandon you. Not until you make that decision." Blaze said, offering a hand to her.
"How can I have friends when everyone's afraid of me." The other Blaze asked.
"Everyone starts somewhere. If you let me, I will help you. We will help each other out and we can both be better than before. Please, take my hand." Blaze said, offering her hand.
The other Blaze didn't move as she looked at her other self. "There's something I really need to know." The other Blaze said.
"What is it?" Blaze asked.
"I want to be sure when I walk out the door of this castle." The other Blaze said, before looking at Blaze with a sharp look. "I want to be free...no...I want to break free!"
Blaze smiled hearing her other self wanting to break free. The other Blaze stood up and stood next to Blaze. Before she could start punching the wall with Blaze, the door that kept the Queen away finally bursted open, sending the door flying. It made the two cats jump in separate directions as they avoided the door.
The two looked and saw the Queen slowly entering the room as she looked at both cats with an annoyed look as her eye where Blaze stabbed her with the kitchen knife earlier was still bleeding black blood. Blaze looked at the Queen with frustration while the other Blaze was trembling at the sight of her corrupted side.
Blaze didn't get the chance to stand for the Queen quickly dashed towards her and was grabbed by the neck with her hand as Blaze was slammed on the wall and let out a groan. Blaze couldn't fight back with her punches due to how numb her fists were from punching the wall.
The Queen finally smiled seeing Blaze was completely defenseless. Blaze tried to kick the Queen off of her, but the Queen grabbed and twisted both of Blaze's legs. Blaze screamed in pain even harder for she was now more powerless while the Queen just laughed hearing her scream.
"Ahh music to my ears. Much like the sound of the piano." The Queen said, looking at Blaze with her bleeding eye.
Blaze looked at her other self, very weakly raised her arm towards her. "Blaze! Help!" She cried out, feeling the amount of pain she felt.
The other Blaze didn't say anything, for she was watching and crying because she was too scared to save Blaze. The Queen saw the terror in the other Blaze's face and began laughing, mocking both cats at their effort trying to stop her.
"Don't even bother thinking this pathetic excuse of a princess can help you. She's only good at being useless and letting me take over." The Queen said.
The Queen looked over at the other Blaze and began taunting her straight to her face. "Useless! Useless! Useless! Useless! Useless! USELESS!" She yelled out loud.
Blaze started to slowly lose consciousness due to the lack of oxygen she wasn't getting from as Queen Blaze gripped her neck tighter. The remaining breath Blaze had left, she spoke once to her other self as one last effort to help. "Blaze! You need to stop holding back! I know you think your flames are dangerous! But they aren't! They make who you are! Because of that our friends except us for who we are! Our flames help bring and protect those we care about!" She yelled.
The Queen was getting annoyed by these speeches that Blaze was giving, she lit her hand on fire. "Enough of these speeches of yours! Once I'm done here and throwing that useless princess back to her room and permanently locking her door! Not only that, I'm going to rip and tear each of your friends! Their screams will forever be in my flames!"
The black flame feline got her fire covered fist, ready to burn Blaze's face and end her Life. Blaze's vision started to get blurry as she was about to pass out. The Queen finally went forward with her killing blow as the attack aimed at Blaze.
The Queen then felt a tight grip on her arm making her stop from making contact with Blaze's face. Curious, Queen Blaze looked to see who grabbed her arm. To much of her surprise, she saw the other Blaze gripping her arm tightly and saved Blaze at the last second. The other Blaze was a bit shaky for she was still scared but she had some courage that was slowly building inside her.
Blaze slowly grinned at her other self finally doing something to help. The other Blaze's body slowly started to burn as little fire sparks were appearing around her body. The grip from the other Blaze was starting to get harder and stronger the more the fire started burning up.
"I'm done being your puppet!" Yelled the other Blaze.
"You little brat! Don't interfere with my kill!" Queen Blaze said, angrily.
"You're done taking lives!" The other Blaze shot back.
The other Blaze's fist then fires up brightly, blinding both Blaze's and the Queen's view. For some reason the light from the fire was slightly making the Queen feel weak. The Queen then aimed for an attack that would be enough to knock out the other Blaze, but was quickly punched on the side of the face by the other's Blaze fire fist.
The fire punch sent the Queen flying which also made her let go of Blaze's neck. As Blaze fell to the ground, she kept the upper part of her torso up by using her arms and elbow to lift her body up a bit. Blaze looked to see the Queen flying straight to the grand piano making a large and loud distortion sound of the piano's keys on impact.
The Queen gritted her teeth as she tried to stand up from the attacks. Her hands were randomly playing key notes on the piano every time she tried to stand.
"What is going on here? Why was that attack strong?!" She says, grunting in pain.
Queen Blaze slowly looked up to be shocked, looking down at her was the other Blaze whose body was now completely covered in a strong fire aura that was similar to the regular Blaze. The fire feline was looking down at the Queen with a mean glare the more she got angry.
"What is this madness?! Why did you suddenly become strong?!" She shouted at the lavender feline.
"What's the matter? I thought you were the one in control here?" Blaze mocked the Queen.
"How is this possible?" The Queen asked, demanding answers.
"Blaze here just needed some motivation from someone who could help her. This is her mind after all. I'm living proof that she too could live a life with friends and freedom. She no longer sees you as the answer to her problems. For now she sees you as the problem!" Blaze said.
The other Blaze formed a fire fist and placed it on the side of the Queen's face, slowly crushing her face on the floor. The Queen yelled in pain feeling the pressure of the other Blaze's fire fist crushing her face.
With her best effort, the Queen looked up at the other Blaze who was just staring at her. "Stop this right now! I can help you deal with your problems! Only I can bring you true happiness and freedom! We can make our version of heaven a reality!" The Queen said, offering her help.
The other Blaze didn't answer back as she stayed silent and only responded by putting more pressure on her fist crushing Queen Blaze's face. The Queen yelled and started to panic as she stared at Blaze from across the room. "You! Make her stop this right now! If I die now it means everything I have done this far will be utterly meaningless! Not after we achieve so much power!" The Queen cried.
"Don't you understand! You lost! But I didn't achieve this victory alone." Blaze said, closing her eyes and began to think back to the beginning. "Sonic and the others knew I found a way to beat you!"
Blaze looked at the Queen with a serious look, "Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Honey, and even Shivera. We had no idea what the future held for us but we all had one resolution and that's beating you and setting this world you conquer free!" Blaze shot back.
"I have not been beaten! Not just yet! You don't understand anything!" Screamed Queen Blaze as her face was being squished.
A part of the Queen's face was being burned off as smoke started to form. Blaze took one last breath as she looked at the other Blaze and the Queen wanting this nightmare to end.
"Finish her!" She yelled.
Seeing that was the sign, the other Blaze lit her other hand on fire and began to punch the Queen's face down to the ground in rapid and loud punches that echoed the room. Due to how the Queen's face was near the piano's keyboard, each punch coming from the other Blaze was playing distorted piano music in the room. The Queen let out a terrifying and monstrous scream of pain as her black blood was spilling out from her face the more it spread across the room.
The room and the whole castle began to shake violently more when the Queen was being attacked. With one last punch, the other Blaze finally managed to destroy the Queen by completely squashing her head with one mighty punch with her fire fist.
The two cats slowly watched as the Queen's body slowly started to disappear in front of them. The other Blaze quickly ran towards Blaze and helped her back up to her feet as they watched the final part of the Queen's body finally erased. The other Blaze looked at her Blaze who smiled at her, happy she made the right choice.
Before the two could say anything to celebrate their moment. The room started flashing in white light seeing that they were about to be separated from their minds and snap back to reality. The other Blaze had a nervous look thinking of going back, but Blaze quickly spoke before the two got separated in the white flash.
"Don't worry, we'll help you get through. You're not alone and you never will be."
Sonic and the others had been watching for a while as they looked in the sky to see the giant fire orb floating. Everyone hated that they couldn't do anything to help Blaze who might need their help, but they also knew Blaze was the only one capable of getting the job done.
"I can't take it!" Honey yelled, frustrated and looked over at Shivera. "Do you think you can take us up there to help Blaze?"
"Unfortunately I can't, even if we could my ice wouldn't be strong enough to get through the fire orb." Shivera said, answering the cat.
"I know you hate just waiting here Honey, but we gotta wait until Blaze has this under control." Sonic said, gripping the Chaos Emerald in his hand and looking at it.
"Guys! Look up! Something is happening! It's acting up!" Tails said, pointing at the sky.
Sonic looked up and so did everyone else. They saw the blue fire orb starting to flash brightly and started to slowly descend from the air as it shrank. The group went to the direction where it was falling and prepared themselves for whatever may happen.
They stopped walking and kept their distance from the fire orb. They watched as a black figure soon appeared in the orb, making the gang even more worried that Blaze might have failed in her plan. The orb let out a small burst and created a large flash bang, making Sonic and the gang cover their eyes quickly so they don't get blinded.
After a brief moment, they looked back and much to their relief they saw Blaze's back because she was still in her Burning Blue form and stood facing away from them. They looked down to the ground to see Queen's Sol Emeralds spread around them.
They saw Blaze holding something in her arms. When she turned around they were shocked to see the Queen who was unconscious and back to her original form for her Black Queen form was no longer to be seen on her. Her dark shade of purple was now much lavender like Blaze's fur.
"Tails, do you still have those bracelets?" Sonic reminded the young fox.
"Oh yeah." Tails quickly responded and took out the fire blocking bracelets.
Even though Queen Blaze was unconscious, it's better to be safe than sorry just in case something happened, especially after the things they went through when they fought against Queen Blaze. Tails took off the gold bracelet rings from Queen Blaze's wrist and placed the handcuffs on her.
Blaze gently put down her counterpart on the ground, letting her rest after what they had been to. The gang walked up to Blaze and saw the unconscious lavender cat on the ground. They started to reflect on the things that have seen and witnessed since they arrived in this alternate version of the Sol Dimension, many of them frowning at the feline seeing how much trouble she caused them.
Sonic broke his frown and gave his usual smile. He carefully sat on the ground and gently placed the Chaos Emerald next to him, seeing how he doesn't need to use it anymore and knowing it was safe to let it go.
"It's over. We won." Sonic said, looking at the sky.
Over to where Marine and Gardon in the middle of sea on boat with the villagers. The sudden intense heat was finally gone as everyone can finally start enjoying the sea air.
Everyone felt like they could breathe properly without having to inhale the hot heat. Marine and Gardon looked surprised and went to the control room to hear the radio broadcast telling everyone that the world finally stopped heating up. The man in the broadcast was talking about nothing but Radio Gaga as he kept talking about how overjoyed he was that the global heat wave finally came to an end.
"By golly! I think they did it! They beat the Queen!" Marine said. "It's a miracle!"
Gardon was at a loss for words, for he couldn't believe what he just heard. He knew the intense heat was caused by Queen Blaze and it got put to a stop thanks to Blaze, Sonic and other's efforts. Gardon didn't want to believe it was all real for it felt too good to be true.
Marine was jumping up and down excitedly, "Those guys actually did it! Gardon do….." The raccoon girl stopped jumping and talking.
She looked over to where Gardon was but he was nowhere to be seen. Marine exited the control room as everyone around her on the boats seemed to be cheering how the world stopped heating up and their lives were safe. It didn't take long to find the koala bear for Marine found him at the back edge of the boat on his own.
The raccoon girl walked towards him and stood beside. She looked up at the koala bear and saw tears coming out from his eyes. Marine didn't have to guess what Gardon was crying about and placed a hand on his back. She knew Gardon would never see another life be taken by the Queen and her actions stopped. He never thought he would see this day where the Queen's wrath finally came to end.
"How I long for this day. A day I thought would never happen. It's over. It's finally over." Gardon said, as more tears fell from his eyes.
Marine continued to comfort the koala bear as she patted his back. She looked in the direction of Southern Island. All Marine could think about is seeing her home island again and as well as Blaze and the others wanted to celebrate their victory.
Back over to Sonic and the others, the group were taking in their moment of peace as they enjoyed what was left of Southern Island. As they were enjoying their moment, they saw Shivera walk up to the unconscious cat and pointed her ice blade, making everyone alerted by her action.
Shivera just gritted her teeth in anger as she pointed her ice blade, aiming for the Queen's throat. Blaze quickly powered up her blue form and prepared herself while Sonic got the Chaos Emerald ready to use its time stop.
Shivera didn't care that she could easily be overpowered by Sonic and Blaze as her ice blade was poking the Queen's neck. It would take one slight move for it to be enough to end the Queen's life. She was filled with anger by the amount of pain and humiliation Queen Blaze did to her for it was stuck in her mind. Not only that, she can finally get her revenge on Princess Igni and her legacy.
"I could end her right here and now while she's defenseless." Shivera said, looking down at the feline.
Sonic and Blaze watched Shivera hold her ice blade steady. "I can get my revenge on her and Igni." She said.
Shivera stood there for a moment as she kept her ice blade active and stared at the cat. But to everyone's surprise, Shivera closed her eyes and pulled her ice blade away from the Queen's neck and as her cold hearted hate faded away.
"But alas, enough blood has been shed as it is." Shivera said in a calm voice.
Shivera focused her thoughts and reverted back to her normal state, no longer in her Sub Shivera form. The chinchilla looked over at Blaze and meant to show she no longer wanted to cause any more harm by giving her a bow of respect. Blaze reverted back to her regular form as well.
Blaze and Shivera walked towards each other to truly put things in the past by giving each other a handshake. Shivera still has some bitterness about Blaze's ancestor Igni but she knew Blaze was much more different than her that she could respect.
Everyone was amazed and relieved that the feud between the fire and ice princess has finally come to an end. "I must admit, I'm really impressed by your actions here today. I think Igni wouldn't be able to handle a situation like this." Shivera said.
"Thanks Shivera, I'm just glad we were able to work together despite the hate you have on my family legacy." Blaze said, softly smiling at the chinchilla.
The two stopped shaking hands, Shivera then looked at her hand carefully and turned on her ice powers for she felt a nice sensation coming from it rather than an angry one. "It's funny, I kinda do feel different judging by my ice powers after working with you. I no longer feel that much hatred as before. I guess I just…..let it go." She said, smiling.
Sonic, Tails, and Honey couldn't help groan in annoyance hearing Shivera say those three words at the end of her sentence, especially because she was an ice princess. Both Blaze and Shivera were both too confused as to why it was bothersome for the trio.
"She just had to say it you guys." Honey said to the hedgehog and fox.
"Was it something I said?" Shivera asked, confused.
"Don't worry about it, it doesn't matter." Sonic said, chuckling with Tails and Honey
Everyone looked back down at the unconscious cat as they were trying to figure out what to do with her. Honey looked down at the Queen, "What do you guys think we should do? Obviously she can't go back to ruling the throne." She said, looking at the purple cat.
"I don't know, I didn't think we would get this far after we beat her." Sonic shrugged his shoulders.
"I say we lock her up somewhere. Where she can't do any harm." Knuckles suggested.
"No." Blaze said, quickly rejecting Knuckles' idea.
Blaze got on her knees and looked at her alternate version. "She was already locked up before and after she became the Queen. I don't want her to be locked away. Not after I set her free from all that corruption." She said, with care in her voice.
"Either way, we can't lock her up if we even wanted to. This Blaze has made the whole world her enemy. If word got about the state she's in and where's being locked up. Many are gonna try to get to her after she caused so much pain to everyone." Tails said, thinking of the logical outcome.
They knew Tails was right, locking Queen Blaze away in a prison cell or dungeon was too risky and would end up in bad results. Everyone began to think of what to do with the Queen for the matter of her safety. Shivera then spoke up because she then had an idea that could help protect alternate Blaze.
"How about we put her on one of the remote islands far in the sea?" Shivera said as she kept talking. "I know several deserted islands around here that she could stay and many people don't know. It wouldn't feel much of a prison cell for she would have space to roam around freely and do what she likes."
"That's actually not a bad idea, giving this Blaze a nice island vacation." Sonic said, smiling at the chinchilla.
"But there's a chance people can stumble upon the island and discover her. We could use multiple guards protecting her, but right now they're aren't many who are keen about her." Tails said, rubbing his chin.
"Perhaps we can help with that." Said a voice.
Everyone turned to look at the Queen's four champions who were walking up to them. Everyone got in fighting positions in case they wanted to throw their fist at them. Mercury the Butterfly held a hand up making everyone stop what they were doing.
"We mean no harm to any of you. You bested the four of us and our Queen. It is clear we are no match against you." Mercury said.
"So what brings you here then?" Knuckles asked, still having fist up.
"We can't help but hear your conversation about the Queen needing some guards to protect her." Deacon said with his arms folded.
"Fortunately for all of you we were made solely to serve and protect the Queen." May teased them.
"But since you beat her and share the Queen's name and appearance. It looks like we're under your ruling now as you're the superior version." Taylor said, looking at Blaze.
The four champions then bowed down at Blaze who was looking uncomfortable by seeing them do that. Blaze thought about it and figured it might actually be a good idea to have these four watch over her counterpart. She does seem to have a connection with them if she chooses to have four champions instead of one and even named them personally.
"Very well, but I don't want you to take orders just from me. I want you to take orders directly from Gardon himself, for he'll tell you what to do mostly for the Queen when I'm gone." Blaze said to them.
"Yes, your highness." They said, not declining her order.
"But when we leave, who's gonna take over and help this world back on its feet?" Honey asked Blaze.
The feline smiled at her cat for she already knew the answer to that. "Just leave that to me." She said, fully confident in her choice.
The group waited on the Southern Island but not for long for very shortly Gardon, Marine, and the rest of the residents of Southern Island sailed back. Many were sad to see their home island in such a state but they knew their future was getting better now that the Queen has been defeated.
Many of the island residents were shocked to see Blaze, who they mistook for the Queen, but Gardon and Marine managed to calm everyone down once they explained everything and saw the actual Queen herself unconscious alongside Blaze.
Gardon was surprised to see the Queen's champions still alive but was more shocked to see them kneeling to him after Blaze made him in charge of them. Blaze and others explained their plan on what to do with the Queen since she can't go out in public anytime soon. The koala bear liked the idea because it would give Queen Blaze time to reflect on her mistakes and give her a place where it was peaceful.
Once everyone knew what the plan was. They took a boat and that was able to hold everyone. They sailed to one of the islands that Shivera spoke of earlier. They reached the island in hours and found the place to be perfect for Queen Blaze for there many tropical trees and tropical food can grow to eat. The island was large enough for her to explore to her heart's desire.
As they wanted to stay on the island with Queen Blaze and the others. There was still one more problem left they needed to take care of: it was Queen's firefly army. Gardon told the gang the best way to get rid of them was attacking the Queen's castle and help the village that she ruled over that was close to her home.
The gang agreed with the plan as they left the Queen with the four champions with Gardon saying to them he would be back to check on Queen Blaze once they have freed the world from the Queen's firefly army . The four champions bow to Gardon accepting his order and await his return to the island as they watch over their old Queen who is still unconscious.
It was later in the day, the gang tracked down the grounds of the village that the Queen lived near and ruled over. The place was overrun by the Queen's firefly army as the people in the village were living their miserable lives under them.
Sonic and others quickly appeared and started attacking the fireflies and freed the people. Despite the overwhelming number of fireflies there were. They were no match against the strength and power of Sonic and others. What also help was Blaze and Shivera in their Burning and Sub forms, wiping out the fireflies with ease.
The people in the village were shocked to see what was happening and some started fighting back against the fireflies for it gave them hope to live a better future. They let out their frustration and anger they felt over the past year of living under the Queen's wrath, finally letting it out and it felt really good.
One of the last things to show them completely that it was over was Blaze flying over to the top of the Queen's castle and burning her flag symbol. This caused many to cheer and cry seeing things are finally changing for the better.
Soon there wasn't a single firefly soldier to be seen, most were slain but some might have escaped into hiding never to be seen or heard from again. When things finally cleared after the battle. The people of the village all gathered up to thank the heroes who saved them.
But once they saw Blaze back in her regular form, they began to get scared again and ready their weapons. With Sonic and others, they calmed down the crowd and let Blaze speak her mind for she had a lot to say to the people.
"Everyone calm down! I have something to say to everyone and I like this to spread all over the planet." She said. "The Queen has been defeated!"
Everyone around looked confused because they mistook her for the Queen. Blaze quickly responded, seeing the odd and confusing look on everyone's face. "I'm not the Queen you once you serve. I may look and sound like her but I assure you I'm not her!" Blaze shouted, making sure everyone heard her.
"Yeah why else would she burn the Queen's flag and help fight off the fireflies." Sonic told everyone.
Everyone took a closer glance at Blaze, surely enough they saw how she was dressed and acting differently than the last time they saw her. The same group that helped them against the fireflies were also backing her up on her words. The crowd stayed silent as they kept listening to Blaze.
"I can't fix what the Queen did to all of you and everyone on the planet. But please, allow me to take the blame since I share the Queen's identity and try to make things better for all of you." Blaze informed them.
"How are you gonna help us then? Are you gonna guard this world?" A person from the crowd said.
Blaze nodded her head. "Unfortunately I can't stay here because I'm actually from a different version of this world that's similar. I have my own world that I need to get back and to protect." Blaze answered, shocking most of them by stating she's from a different world that's almost similar to theirs while some find it hard to believe.
The feline then turns over to look at both Gardon and Shivera, "When I'm gone, I want to leave the world in the hands of Gardon and Shivera." She said, while looking at them
"What?!" Both Gardon and Shivera said, surprised.
Blaze walked towards and first looked at the koala bear. "Gardon you've been around long enough and have taken care of me since I was a kitten. I know you have what it takes to help everyone in this world and restore it. I can't help thinking about anyone else but you and Shivera to help lead this world to a better future." She said.
Gardon was speechless but accepted Blaze's offer. The koala bear bowed as Blaze bowed back. The feline looked at Shivera who too was surprised by Blaze's choice.
"Shivera, despite what happened between you and my ancestor Igni. I know she would want you to help these people. You have experience of ruling a kingdom and Gardon here could use all the help he can get from you." Blaze said.
Shivera was shocked and was hesitant by the offer. She never thought she would actually help the world and be the savior of it. After giving some thought, Shivera smiled and nodded, accepting the role as she and Gardon nodded at each other, looking forward to working together.
It was much later in the day as the sun was starting to set. The news of the Queen's defeat was spreading all over the world as the day went on. Everyone was back at the island where they left Queen Blaze and the four champions. They wanted to check on Queen Blaze before they left.
Tails, with the help of Marine, managed to build a special mechanical glove for Sonic to wear to use Chaos Emerald to warp everyone back to Blaze's Sol Dimension. They gather materials to make the mechanical glove for they went to search around the island and gather as much as they can.
Blaze looked at Gardon, Shivera, Marine for this was probably the last time she'll ever see these versions of them before she leaves home. Blaze looked in the distance and saw her counterpart hiding behind a tree, very shy to show her face to everyone, even after being introduced and greeted by to show they were her friends.
The feline then looked at the raccoon girl as she got on one knee. "Marine, can you do me a favor after I leave?" Blaze asked.
"Sure what is it?" Marine asked, curious what Blaze had to say.
"This may be a lot to ask for, but can you please be a friend to my other self?" She said to the raccoon.
"What!?" Marine said. "You want me to be friends with her?"
"Yes, I know she has done things to you and everyone. But please, she really needs someone like you right now. Someone to treat her normally without her royal status being viewed." Blaze said.
Marine was scared at the thought of getting close to the Queen. She looked over to the Queen who was looking more shy as she hid away a bit. Marine looked back at Blaze seeing how she became the way she is because she was able to make friends. The raccoon girl thought she too can help the world by helping the Queen be a better person by being her friend.
"I'll try, just for you Blaze." Marine said.
Blaze hugged the raccoon, "Thank you Marine. Make sure she never has a dull moment. Go crazy with that spunky attitude of yours captain." She said, giving a salute to Marine, who just smiled and laughed.
The feline then looked at Gardon and Shivera. "So what plans do you have first to help the world?" She asked them.
"According to Gardon, the world's temperature is still at 2C degrees. My first plan is to use my Sub Shivera form and bring that temperature down below. I'm gonna create new glaciers for the cold creatures to live on and create multiple snow areas." Shivera said, explaining what she plans to do with her power.
Gardon stepped forward, "I'm gonna search for any possible royalty kings, queens, princes or princesses and help bring their kingdoms back. The Queen might have killed most of them. But I have a feeling some might be around and are probably hiding in secret." Gardon said, thinking about possible survivors.
Blaze smiled at the two and bowed to them. "I know you guys will succeed." She said, happy to see them working together.
Blaze then walked towards where Sonic, Tails, Honey, and Knuckles were waiting for her. Sonic got the Chaos Emerald out from his hammer space as Blaze took out the blue Sol Emerald. The two emeralds started to glow bright as they flew out Sonic's and Blaze's hands and floated in the air as the Blue Sol Emeralds was sending coordinates to its place of origin that Chaos Emerald was getting ready to warp there.
The emeralds started to glow brightly, Sonic knew the Chaos Emerald was ready for him to use Chaos Control to warp back. Everyone grabbed a hold of Sonic before he held the Chaos Emerald. Thanks to the glove Tails and Marine build, he was having better control of the Chaos Emerald.
"Until we meet again." Blaze said.
Sonic began to focus his thoughts, his mind was thinking back to moments ago after they left the altar room the first time before arriving at this version of the Sol Dimension. Once it got cleared, Sonic shot his eyes open and gripped the Chaos Emerald tightly.
"Chaos Control!"
A huge light surrounded the gang, in a brief moment they were gone from the world and have returned to Blaze's regular dimension. Gardon and Shivera stood for a while watching the spot the everyone left.
Shivera then began walking away from Gardon getting near the seashore of the island. She focused her mind and out came the seven Sol Emeralds floating around her. She turned into her Sub Shivera form and looked at Gardon with a smile
"I must admit, it actually feels good that I'm gonna help people around the world with my ice powers." Shivers said, as her body started floating off the ground giving Gardon a smile.
"You're gonna do great. Lots of people are gonna like building a snowman because of you." Gardon joked, making the female chinchilla laugh.
"I'll meet you back at the castle later, Gardon. Right now I gotta cool down the world's temperature before it gets worse for everyone." Shivera said.
Gardon smiled seeing Shivera blast off into the sky where her first stops were going to be the north and south side of the world where it needed to be cooled. Shivera waved goodbye leaving Gardon behind on the island.
The koala bear stood there and was starting to think where it would be a good start to search for any hiding royalties. As he was thinking he noticed Marine was slowly walking up to Queen Blaze who was still hiding behind the tree shyly.
"Oi Blaze! Wanna join me walking around this island? I could use an extra hand finding some materials for my S.S Marine. That would be very grateful mate." Marine asked her.
Queen Blaze was nervous and didn't know how to respond. She looked over at Gardon who smiled at her letting her know it was okay and to help the raccoon out. Queen Blaze carefully stepped away from the tree while still looking at the ground shyly.
"If..if you think I could be of some help. I will join you." Queen Blaze said, shyly.
"Great!" Marine yelled happily.
The raccoon girl walked over to Queen Blaze and grabbed her hand. "Let's go! I've been dying to know what materials we'll find on this island. I'll let you ride my S.S Marine when it fully works." She said, happily looking at the feline's eyes.
The Queen was about to say something but was quickly yanked away by Marine as they ventured further in the island. Gardon who was watching the whole thing just laughed seeing Queen Blaze's expression for it was something she didn't expect anyone to do.
Gardon watched until the two girls were completely gone from his site. He then decided to lay on the sand of the beach as he closed his eyes and took in the noise of the seagulls that flew by him and the sound of waves.
He was finally at peace, no longer having to worry about the fate of the world. He then thought of Blaze, Sonic, Tails, Honey, and Knuckles making his smile grow even more.
"Everyone, thank you for the miracle."
In the matter of seconds, the white flash around Sonic and his friends quickly vanish. Everyone looked around and saw they were back in the altar room where they first left. It was almost like they never left and all of them experienced the recent event like it was a dream.
Sonic looked down at the mechanical glove that was given to him to see it not fully functional anymore for it was a one time use. He took the mechanical glove off as he and his friends began looking around.
"Are we really back?" Honey asked.
They looked over at the large exit door of the altar room. "Only one way to find out." Sonic said, putting away the Chaos Emerald in his hammer space while Blaze placed back the Sol Emeralds on the altar.
Everyone gathered around the door, as Blaze was the one who wanted to open and see if she was home. Blaze opened the door as she and others carefully exited. As they exited, Blaze looked to the side of the door to see two of her regular royal guards protecting it. They saluted her once they saw her and went back to guarding the door as they stood still.
The group looked over and saw multiple royal guards, maids, and servants going with their daily life working around the castle. What really caught their attention was when they saw their version of Gardon and Marine walking towards them. In their hands they were holding some material they brought from the Blue Typhoon to help understand the reason behind the Sol Emeralds mysterious glow.
They realized Sonic warped them back moments ago before leaving this dimension. It made sense since nothing happened since they left. Marine and Gardon grew curious why the gang left the altar room as they continued to walk toward them.
"Hey? What's going on?" Marine spoke up.
"Did something bad happen, Blaze? Is it Eggman Nega?" Gardon said, getting worried.
Everyone looked at the koala bear and raccoon with a bizarre look. Not too long ago they were talking to them in the alternate dimension.
"Did we miss something?" Marine asked, wondering why they were given strange looks at them.
Blaze walked to Gardon, placing a hand on his shoulder and gave him a soft smile. "Gardon, I know you know this but I'm grateful that you're my personal royal guard and happy you took care of me over the years. Most importantly, you are a great friend." She said to him and gave him a bow.
Gardon was more confused than ever before but he was happy to hear that coming from Blaze who really seems to value him more for some reason.
"Ummm….thanks Blaze." He replied back.
After Blaze told him that, she began walking away from everyone. Gardon spoke up wondering where Blaze was going. "Where are you going? Don't we need to know why the Sol Emeralds are acting up?" Gardon asked.
"Don't worry about the Sol Emeralds. We already solved the problem." Sonic said, giving a teasing wink at Marine and Gardon.
"Gardon, I'm heading to my room and packing some of my things. I'm planning to stay in Sonic's dimension for a while. I really need a relaxing time with Cream and Vanilla right now." Blaze said, smiling as she was thinking about the young rabbit and her mother.
"Sure Blaze, if that is what you want. Marine will alert you if Eggman Nega causes trouble when you're away." Gardon said.
At the thought of returning home made Sonic, Tails, Honey and Knuckles sigh in relief that they made it back. Sonic just wanted to be in his home to relax with his usual routine and wait for the next grand adventure tale to happen to him. Tails wanted to get back home and work on some unfinished inventions and eat a whole bowl of mint candy that was waiting for him. Honey wanted to see and spend time with her boyfriend, Mighty the Armadillo, and tell him about her adventure she went through. Knuckles wanted to do a quick check up on the Master Emerald that he hid somewhere on Angel Island and spend the day relaxing on it.
"Seriously, what did we miss?!" Marine asked Sonic and the gang for she couldn't but feel left out, which made her annoyed.
The group laughed as Sonic looked at the young raccoon. "We'll tell you about it when Blaze comes back. She has details we don't know. It's quite a bizarre tale." Sonic chuckled.
Before Blaze entered the hallway of her castle, she glanced over where the others were and she saw them laughing and smiling while Gardon and Marine were still left confused. She stared at them for a moment as a smile appeared on her face. She wasn't only smiling, but soft tears were coming out for she realized how lucky she is to have the friends she has now and they were part of her life to help her become a better person. Many more adventures were to come. Blaze knew she would be part of them and experiencing memorable tales with others.

Author's Note: The Show Must Go On
We finally come to a conclusion to this Sonic Tales entry. This story was quite the trip. The story took me about five or six months to make, but actually planning it took me about 2-3 years thinking about it before making it. Before making this story, I thought to myself, "Has anyone ever made evil queen Blaze fic?" and to my surprise nobody has or ever attempted to make one or at least at this caliber. But of course, I wanted to make this story special if you couldn't tell by the title and cover art.
Originally this story was planned out to be a short epilogue to my "Cold Heart of Hate" story, only having like five or six chapters but the more ideas started popping into my head the more time went by. I had to delay this story a few times for I also originally wanted this to be the 35th or 36th entry of my Sonic Tales series, but wasn't ready.
I want to give a huge shout out to my good pal Xao (Formerly known as Elzetto. He changed his username since then.) who made the cover art for my story and drew some scenes of it. So what's next after this? Well the show must go on I say! I will be taking a small break from writing, but don't worry the next Sonic Tales entry is slowly being developed as we speak and of course Xao is going to make the cover art for that story as well when it's ready. What is that story you may wonder? Well that's a secret. *Wink*. But I will say, it's definitely gonna catch a lot of eyes once you guys see the cover art or the title of the story. Don't stop me now, I'm having such a good time. I'm having a ball.
