[MY COMMENT]
I wanted to stick close to the Canon storyline, but the emergence of an unrestrained Buu Saga Gohan disrupted that plan. While canonical events may still unfold on specific dates and times, they will undoubtedly be influenced by Gohan's presence. Character deaths should be permanent unless Gohan manages to obtain the Dragon Balls.
For a more sensible approach, Echidna could offer assistance to Gohan in creating a pair of Dragon Balls and an artificial wishing Dragon after delving into his memories. This process might necessitate dragon blood, making it crucial for Gohan to win the Royal Selection. Additionally, spells that previously failed Roswaal or Echidna could now find success, given Gohan's seemingly boundless power. If you know a lot about Re: Zero Lore, please feel free to message me.
While Gohan showcased his ability to manipulate powers without a mana gate, the consequences should persist and remain irreversible. Healing Gohan's mana gate would be unsatisfying, as it would diminish the impact of the established consequences. The intention is for his gate to stay permanently destroyed. However, this doesn't mean he lacks the affinity for manipulating his natural energy without a gate. Although not necessary, if it enhances the story, Gohan could discover how to manipulate mana without a gate.

[Chapter 3, Part 1 of 1]

The night prior...
Elsa found herself ensnared beneath the weight of the fallen tree, desperately grappling to free her body from its crushing hold. Frustration and humiliation mingled in her thoughts as she noticed bits of grass, dirt, and traces of her blood marring her once-pristine complexion. The dual defeats at the hands of Gohan in a single night left Elsa grappling with the undeniable acknowledgment of her inferiority as a fighter.
'Over the years I've left a trail of maimed and broken foes in my wake.' Thought Elsa, unable to forget the face of the man who had defeated her. 'My exceptional skills have set me apart, earning me the Moniker of the Bowel Hunter. Despite it all, I feel that this defeat has dealt a severe blow to my pride as an assassin.'
In her mind's eye, Elsa couldn't help but compare herself to a helpless child resisting an Ogre that was beyond strength. In her losing fight against the verdant-robed man, each of her strikes was easily blocked or misdirected. The defeat left her torn between the desire for revenge and the realization that she doesn't stand a chance in her current state.
As if brushing off the sting of defeat, a sinister grin now adorned Elsa's expression. Her cheeks flushed red as she pondered aloud, "How would this Gohan character fare against Mother?" Reminiscing on Gohan's naive display of mental fortitude, she could only wonder how such an encounter would play out.
"Will he stand strong just as he did against me?" Elsa wondered in suspenseful glee. "Or will he crumble under the weight of Mother's cruelty?"
"You may have superior fighting skill," Mused Elsa, as if speaking to a mental image of Gohan. "but I've observed your disdain for violence and the brutality that accompanies it. It is evident that you're not a true warrior at heart."
Elsa recalled how Gohan refused to fight her, instead opting to convince her to surrender. This was proven by how Gohan refused to strike her during their first encounter. This made Elsa eager to witness Gohan falter against a monster that was beyond reasoning.
While Gohan showed obvious disdain for conflict in his manner of confronting Elsa, that didn't stop him from getting his hands dirty. Elsa thought of Gohan as a man who hated fighting, but if he fought, he would give you the fight to end all fights. She noted that while Gohan may have initially refused to fight her, he ultimately relented to his anger when she threatened to Kill Emilia. Even after Elsa sealed her fate for her wrongdoings, Gohan still warned Elsa that he would hit her, almost as if he was asking for permission to do so.
As Elsa's thoughts returned to the enigma that was Gohan, something about him fascinated her, and it lingered in her thoughts continually. It was his furious glare, a soul-piercing expression that could only be recreated by the offspring of the Son bloodline. Gohan's furious eyes, boring into hers, transformed him into an irresistible target, instilling a newfound motivation within Elsa. It ignited a desire that could consume the world ten times over. The Bowel Hunter envisioned a new goal, a new prey to hunt—one that wouldn't yield as easily as the rest.
Followed by a soft giggle, she continued pondering aloud, "Oh, Gohan~. Your soft-hearted nature is your downfall. Your unwillingness to do what must be done will cost you dearly. I wonder what expression will adorn your handsome face if I were to slip my fingers into your bowels~."
"Oh dear~," Elsa covered her rose-tinted cheeks in abject embarrassment. "I shouldn't get ahead of myself." Elsa mused, realizing how delusional her desires were. "Once I've honed my skills and sharpened my fangs, only then will I stand ready to dance with you again~."
Elsa's thoughts now paused as the sound of rustling grass drew her attention. She tensed as she turned to face the direction of the noise, believing that a group of knights had come to apprehend her but to her visible relief, it was only her young companion from the assassins' guild.
Despite Elsa's dire situation, the young girl regarded her with fascination. "Wow sis, was he that strong?" inquired the voice of the young girl. It was Meili Portrute, seated atop a colossal, Rhino-like beast that caused the ground to tremble with each step. It was a magnificent and fearsome creature that exhaled hot fumes after every breath.
Watching them come closer, Elsa nodded as she explained, "Indeed he was, Little sister. I was wholly ill-prepared to face him."
Now that the beast stood before the downed assassin, Meili peered down from her towering mount seemingly unperturbed by Elsa's predicament. It was as though she was fully aware of Elsa's formidable ability to survive deadly encounters.
Meili began, "It's good that Reinhard is as gentle as people say he is." Said Meili with newfound relief. "I'm happy that he chose to spare you." Nervously averting her eyes, Meili scratched behind her head, saying. "I'm not sure what I'd do without you, big sis."
Elsa smiled tenderly before a stern look adorned her visage. "It wasn't the Swordsman who overcame me."
Meili was ready to command her beast to relieve Elsa from underneath the weight of the fallen tree, but the girl froze in a brief moment of confusion. She then readjusted herself on her mount before asking, "It wasn't Reinhard that bested you?"
"No, little sister," Responded Elsa with a shake of her head. "it was the Dragon Priest who trapped me here." Elsa tried using her inhuman strength to break free but was still too weakened by her previous confrontation. The massive log was simply too heavy for her to move at this time.
Now oblivious of her current task of freeing Elsa, Meili's eyes widened as she started making mental connections. "The Dragon Priest? Was it the Silver-haired girl with the bloodied dress? From where I hid, I saw that she still keeps her royal touchstone."
Shaking her head to clarify once more, Elsa responded, "No, Meili, the one who bested me was the green-robed man accompanying the Master Swordsman."
"Oh, the other guy?" Meili muttered aloud. Her eyes shifted upward to recollect what she had seen. "He looked kind of strong," she commented while shifting her eyes back to Elsa. Now smiling innocently, Meili remarked, "But he's nothing you can't handle, right, big sis?"
"As I said, he provided me with a dance I wasn't prepared for," Elsa replied, her tone somber, but she blushed slightly at the end. "Nonetheless, it was a unique experience~."
Remaining silent to contemplate what she heard, Meili then asked, "Could he be strong enough to fulfill Mother's wishes?"
Returning an intrigued expression of her own, Elsa asked, "What do you mean?"
Meili became visibly flustered. "Have you forgotten already?" Asked Meili with pouting cheeks. "We haven't given Mother any gifts, and our time is long overdue!"
Elsa nodded, amused that Meili took Mother's wishes more seriously than she did. "He seems to surpass Mother's list of requirements," Elsa responded with assurance. "We might have discovered a powerful man who can fulfill Mother's desires. That man might not be the Master Swordsman, but he's perfectly qualified to please her."
Eager about the prospect of a job well done, Meili offered in an excited tone, "Should we hurry and tell Mother about what happened here?"
"Dear me," Elsa covered her mouth and pondered aloud, "though interesting, our discovery provides little relief from the imminent threat of a humiliating death. My stroke of luck is rooted in the fact that Mother isn't directly overseeing this task and knows nothing regarding my client. However, should Mother uncover the details of my humiliating defeat, a severe and merciless punishment would likely await me. Do you understand this, little sis?"
Meili's expression changed to horror, and she nodded, fully understanding the consequences of Elsa portraying herself as incompetent before Mother. While Mother acknowledges her loyal children who bring her great gifts, it would be best to remain cautious and selective in how they approach Mother.
"I understand, big sis," responded Meili with a downcast expression, comprehending Elsa's dire predicament. "Does this mean we should keep what happened here a secret?"
Elsa shook her head. "Mother would be displeased if she were to discover that we hid crucial information from her. If we value our lives, it would be best to divulge a half-truth. That way, Mother is satiated by being well-informed on the subject that interests the Nobles. She will still learn about the Male Dragon Priest either way."
Elsa didn't like the idea of being transformed into an inanimate object or a shapeless pile of meat, but should she wisely choose her words, Elsa would live just a little longer and would successfully spare the life of Meili in the process.
Meili's expression found new life as she lifted her gaze. "Let me help you out from under that tree," she offered. The Rhino beast violently rammed the tree aside, allowing Elsa's damaged lower body to eventually heal without leaving evidence of prior damage, making her as good as new.
Although trembling with weakness, Elsa arose from the ground and gazed upon the mountainous city, dominated by a magnificent castle perched at the very top. The revelation that Gohan was a royal candidate meant she knew exactly where he would be heading in a few weeks.
In a moment of quiet contemplation, Elsa couldn't suppress a subtle, chilling giggle. "This Gohan will be an exquisite offering to Mother~. I wonder what will become of him should she get hold of his body..."

The scene transitioned to the present, precisely where Elsa had been trapped beneath the fallen tree the previous night. However, there were discernible differences. Firstly, the fallen tree was now displaced from its original position, the very spot where Elsa was expected to be pinned underneath. Second, it was daytime, with no sign of the dangerous woman's presence.
Gohan and Reinhard stood before that fallen tree, serving as witnesses to the true events of the prior night. With no other choice but to initiate their search, they reached an agreement on how to proceed in their quest to arrest the Bowel Hunter.
"Sounds like a plan," Reinhard approved with a nod, his voice resonating with enthusiasm. "I look forward to our success."
Each of the powerful fighters shared a look of acknowledgment as they regarded each other. It was as if they had always trusted each other despite having only known one another for less than a full day. Gohan didn't know much about Reinhard but he somehow felt like he could talk to him about anything, while Reinhard sensed Gohan's vast fighting potential and usefulness to the side of justice.
Reinhard's keen eyes remained fixed on Gohan as the Saiyan sensibly moved with purpose. In a graceful mirroring of Gohan's actions, Reinhard smoothly shifted to the side, allowing the Saiyan to pass him by. He anticipated Gohan's imminent departure, however, to Reinhard's evident surprise, Gohan chose an unexpected course of action. The Saiyan settled gracefully onto the lush grass, assumed a lotus position, and closed his eyes in deep concentration.
Reinhard, usually composed, wore an expression of visible confusion. His head tilted slightly as he asked, "Does something trouble you? Why this sudden pause?" Reinhard inquired, his curiosity evident in the furrow of his brow. "Weren't you about to put your plan into action? You would search one likely place, and I would search another."
Still seated on the grass in the lotus position, Gohan glanced back to respond, "Yes, I know I mentioned that, but please, give me a moment." He returned to his original posture before calmly finishing his statement. "I'll explain once I'm finished."
An awkward silence settled in as Gohan remained deeply engrossed in his meditative state. The calm wind, accompanied by the chirping of birds perched atop the long branches of the fallen tree, created a tranquil environment. The chirping birds prevented this moment from becoming entirely dull and strange. Surprisingly, the nearby animals weren't bothered by the presence of the Sword Saint or the meditating Saiyan, as if their calm energies were somehow attracting the innocent creatures into the vicinity.
Choosing not to press Gohan any further, Reinhard opted to find a seat on the fallen tree, favoring the sturdy wood over the soft grass. The birds perched there simply hopped aside, unafraid of the Master Swordsman. One particular bird even approached, inspecting the Swordsman with innocent curiosity before scampering away upon discovering something of interest among the swaying grass.
Moments passed as the Saiyan meditated, the birds continued to chirp, and Reinhard's thoughts revolved around the subject of the Royal Selection. Once again, Reinhard's contemplative gaze shifted to the self-proclaimed hermit, who remained in serene meditation, seemingly unaffected by the passage of time. Reinhard's eyes then shifted to the curious birds observing the Saiyan as if they had found something of interest. Ultimately the birds took off in random order to join the rest of their kind in the vast Lugnican sky.
'A truly intriguing enigma,' Reinhard reflected internally, his gaze shifting back to the tranquil Saiyan. 'He employs unconventional abilities, which have so far proven reliable. Might he hail from beyond The Great Waterfall?'
Thinking back to the abilities Gohan had demonstrated and his explanations of Ki, Reinhard suspected that Gohan might not be from this land, also wondering if just about anyone could truly manipulate this strange new energy.
'Given how Gohan's mana gate was destroyed during his selfless rescue of a damsel, it was strange to see him manipulating a completely different form of energy without much issue. For this power to have always existed, and yet for the world to know nothing of it, is astonishing. Did he always have access to this formidable energy, and why am I only learning about it now?'
'Either Gohan's from beyond The Great Waterfall or he had only recently learned how to manipulate Ki. However, his lack of knowledge regarding the ways of our land strongly indicates that he's not of this realm. Nevertheless... how formidable is he?' Reinhard wondered with a determined expression; his intent gaze on the meditating Saiyan was enough to cause the animals to flee from the vicinity. As if sensing the tense energy from Reinhard, the birds all flew away, and the small rodents went into hiding, causing the scene to become dull and silent.
'If his power were to lead him down a dark path,' thought Reinhard, almost anticipating an inevitable future clash, 'could I hold my own against him? I sensed no malevolence, and neither have I witnessed any cruel acts. However, I'm concerned about the potential consequences that his presence may bring to this land.'
'If Puck's claim that Gohan was pure of heart is true, then I suppose I have nothing to worry about. However, if he were to act out of order and choose a nefarious path, I know that no other knight would be capable of standing up to him.'
Reinhard then raised a fist and stared intently at it. 'This narrows it down to requiring me to do what I can to the best of my ability.'
After staring at his fist for a moment, Reinhard eventually lowered his hand, his tense demeanor subsiding enough for the nearby animals to make a slow return.
His eyes then focused on a mental image of Puck, and Reinhard continued with his thoughts, 'Gohan was successful in defeating and befriending The Great Spirit Of The End, with only the use of his fists.' He then imagined the events of yesterday; The sight of Puck's transformed body being unconscious under a massive pile of rubble. It was strange to behold, yet the reason behind why that happened was even stranger than the very spectacle.
His thoughts shifted to something else; a mental image of Gohan breaking free from powerful restraints entered his mind as Reinhard wondered, 'Gohan seems to be fully aware of his abilities, as he was open to explaining his understanding of Ki. And if he's fully aware of his boundless potential, then might he intentionally be restraining himself? What did the Bowel Hunter mean when she mentioned that Gohan was hiding a monster? Could Elsa have sensed something within Gohan? Or was she simply taunting him out of prideful arrogance? If he's hiding a monster, then what exactly is Gohan supposed to be?'
Reinhard then recalled a conversation held between Ram and Gohan. His mind envisioned the front of the Guard barracks, exactly where the event took place.
"So it's true," Ram murmured as if a puzzle piece clicked into place.
Perplexed, Gohan's curiosity flared to life. "What's true?" he asked, his stance leaning to the side in a mix of surprise and innocence.
A knowing glint twinkled in Ram's eyes as she regarded him. "You're the womanizer who exclusively saves damsels in distress."
Gohan's eyebrows shot up in genuine surprise. "Wait, is that a real rumor that's going around!?"
Failing to hide a low chuckle, Reinhard thought, 'Gohan technically did save four women in a day, although I doubt that he'd be a womanizer.'
Hearing the sudden rustling of the grass, Reinhard shifted his gaze to see Gohan finally arise from the dormant position. This tempted the swordsman to ask Gohan about his stance on the Royal Selection.
'Should I ask him now?' Thought Reinhard before quickly changing his mind. 'No, I mustn't. There's a reluctance about him as if he'd rather be elsewhere. The Subject of the Royal Selection will only serve to disinterest him, so I must discern a better approach, but how?'
Now standing tall with a determined expression Gohan faced Reinhard. "It took a while,' Gohan began in an impatient tone, 'but I am certain that your criminal is nowhere to be found in these parts."
"Is she truly absent?" Asked Reinhard as he stood up from his seat at the fallen tree. He then glanced at the vastness of the grand city, his eyes scanning the uphill and mountainous districts, including the castle perched atop the highest vantage point. It was as if he was sifting through the many Ki signatures among the population. Despite being confirmed that Elsa was nowhere to be found there, Reinhard couldn't help but try sensing for her again but without success.
Glancing back to meet Gohan's concerned expression, Reinhard asked, "Might you know where the criminal is?" seeing Gohan shake his head caused Reinhard's initial curiosity to wane.
"If I couldn't sense her inside the city," Gohan began with a defeated shrug, "then I wouldn't know where she is." A moment of silence ensued until Gohan's expression changed to match his new confidence. "Although, Elsa's Ki signature is much easier to locate in comparison to..." His expression soon changed to match his forgetfulness. "Wait a minute, What was her name again?... The little girl from last night?"
"Her name is Felt." Responded Reinhard, still intently listening as he dusted off his garments.
"Of course." Gohan snapped a finger before confidently crossing his arms. "What I was saying is that the Bowel Hunter's Ki signature is pretty strong, making it far easier to locate in comparison to Felt's. Because of this, I know that Elsa's not among the local population. I just needed some time to make sure of it."
Briefly resting a hand under his chin, Reinhard then averted his gaze to the castle once more. "Given what you explained, this would imply the Bowel Hunter is far beyond my current jurisdiction."
Gohan raised a brow. "Your what?" He then glanced at what Reinhard was so focused on, also staring at the grand castle in the distance.
"I said the Bowel Hunter is beyond my current jurisdiction." Responded Reinhard with clarified pronunciation. Now shifting in his stance so Gohan can listen better, Reinhard further clarified, "Now, unless the Bowel Hunter was mysteriously abducted and killed, that would explain why neither of us could sense her presence."
"Hold on a second," Gohan interjected as his eyes searched Reinhard's for answers. "Who else would want to target that woman?"
"Potential enemies she has garnered throughout the years." Explained Reinhard as if pulling the information from his recent memory. "Perhaps someone is responding to a bounty set by one of the mercenary guilds."
"Ah, I see," Gohan finally leaned back, the two of them now distancing themselves to a more comfortable talking distance. With his arms still crossed, Gohan asked, "And you mentioned that you're stuck here? As in you can't help me search outside the city limits?"
Bowing his head, Reinhard responded somberly, "I'm afraid it's as you say." Then raising his head high, Reinhard explained, "My current duties confine me to the Capital, and I admit that it's quite arduous to explain to you what is required of me."
"I understand, there's nothing wrong with that," Gohan responded as the two of them once again shifted their attention to the faraway castle. "This might sound a bit obvious, but if that dangerous lady is still alive, then perhaps she fled on one of the main roads." Gohan's statement caused Reinhard's expression to shift to one of realization.
Gohan continued explaining, "If Elsa is riding as the passenger of a carriage, that should make finding her easy."
"What splendid manner of thinking!" Exclaimed Reinhard, as if Gohan had seemingly solved a serious mental dilemma. "I know you said the Bowel Hunter remains absent, yet I shall endeavor to remain vigilant as I resume my patrols. Perhaps I may find evidence of a body so that we may stop the search immediately."
With a thumbs up, Gohan responded, "Good plan! I'll try not to take long! And if you find anything, just raise your Ki output and I'll come quick!"
"Splendid," Reinhard responded with a nod. "again, I await our success."
With a resolute expression, the grass below the Saiyan began to sway to the wind as he casually ascended into flight before taking off to the skies.
Smirking as the flying Saiyan disappeared into the embrace of the clouds, Reinhard intended to do the same but halted in visible confusion.
The Master Swordsman stood still as the realization finally hit him, "I seem to have not picked up on how to fly." Muttered Reinhard in abject embarrassment, for his ability to manipulate Ki was limited to the physical enhancement of his body and sensing for Ki signatures.
Observing the Saiyan vanish across the horizon, Reinhard contemplated, "Could it be, that I am left to acquire this skill through traditional means?" he voiced his thoughts. "Perhaps, reliance on my innate gifts won't suffice in helping me; I may need to resort to conventional learning."
For the first time in a good while, Reinhard felt physically challenged. Yet instead of giving up, the Swordsman welcomed the difficult task with strong determination. Like with every difficult trial, he would inevitably succeed as he has always done before.

With Gohan...
From the skies, the flying Saiyan scanned the Lifaus Highway below, observing the primitive yet efficient transportation moving at impressive speeds. The majority of traffic was closer to the city, resulting in fewer carriages the farther he flew.
The ground dragons, swift and reliable, were the preferred beasts of burden, capable of hauling heavy carriages with ease. Most of the Ki signatures Gohan sensed weren't impressive by his standards, but that wasn't his focus. Gohan was determined to identify Elsa's energy signature and bring her back to the Royal Capital so that she may face justice for her crimes.
Soaring high and penetrating through the clouds, there were no distractions to take his mind off what he truly felt. This allowed Gohan to reflect on his defeat by Majin Buu and ponder the strange events that led to his predicament.
"I can't help but feel like I'm wasting time playing the errand boy," he mused aloud, easily passing through the clouds. Their whiteness dispersed like a blade cutting through a frail wall of cotton. Emerging on the other side, he concluded, "But I suppose locking away a criminal is reason enough for me to help around."
A modest town caught Gohan's attention as he glanced down, observing children playfully chasing an energetic dog while their parents supervised closely. A saddened smile on his face betrayed a feeling of homesickness.
"All of my best and worst memories are from planet Earth," he continued his passive musings, flying past the town at incredible speeds. Losing sight of it, he finished, "But if I'm truly stuck here, then none of it matters anymore."
Uncertain whether to blame himself for his perceived weakness or attribute it all to Majin Buu, Gohan mulled over the events. The dangerous pink blob demonstrated strange powers, and Gohan couldn't forget about Babidi's primitive control over Vegeta's body. It was still debatable who bore the blame for his banishment from Earth and it caused him great stress.
"Perhaps Babidi banished me while I was distracted fighting Majin Buu," Gohan concluded aloud, recalling the strange room manipulation that allowed Babidi to warp fighters between planets and locations.
With the primitively paved highway below, Gohan abruptly stopped mid-flight over an expansive green landscape, his shockwaves permanently bending the grass below. The force of his flight made it seem as though a hurricane had passed through moments prior.
An expression of realization crossed Gohan's face as he exclaimed, "So that's how it happened!"
Glancing back toward the distant Royal Capital beyond the closest town behind him, Gohan pondered aloud, "When Majin Buu's energy blast hit me head-on, Babidi must have used the distraction to his advantage and sent me to another world! That has to be it!"
Gohan made a mental image of the scheming Babidi rubbing his hands together as he sought the perfect moment to strike. That was when Majin Buu's attack hit Gohan head-on, granting Babidi the perfect opportunity to use his strange magic and banish Gohan into an alternate world.
"Damn him!" Gohan shouted with clenched fists as he seethed with anger, his voice echoing across the vast landscape. "I should have obliterated both him and Dabura with my strongest attack! No doubt Dabura would have survived, but there's no way that damn wizard would have remained unscathed!"
After seething in frustration for a few more seconds, he calmly exhaled before refocusing on his task. With newfound determination, he resumed his flight at high speeds with his keen eyes remaining on the road, ever vigilant of Elsa's unique Ki signature.
[X]
In the Lifaus Highway, the assassin's gaze remained transfixed beyond the window of the passenger cabin, her eyes scanning the passing countryside. Her beautiful orbs occasionally flicked toward peculiar sights of passing interest, her outward stillness betraying the bustling thoughts in her mind. The carriage had by now carried her several towns away from the bustling Capital, allowing her troubled mind a momentary respite.
The wind played with her obsidian hair, turning it into a cascading waterfall of liquid silk. Each new breath filled her lungs with the refreshing air of the open countryside. Her fair skin showed no trace of the injuries and bruises that had marred her appearance after the fight she had lost against Gohan. Her wounds had vanished entirely, leaving her looking as flawless as ever.
Her amethyst eyes, tinged with a hint of crimson, remained locked in contemplation as she revisited her recent encounter with the mysterious fighter in verdant robes. This young man had effectively thwarted her efforts to carry out the task set by her client, and despite her considerable prowess and sharpened skills, she had found herself outmatched by the much younger combatant.
"Gohan, was it?" Elsa mused aloud, her voice a soft, melodic whisper as she gently rested her head against her gloved hand. "Such a charmingly naive man. And not only does his appearance match his demonstrated prowess but, as it turns out, he's of royal lineage as well."
Her mind replayed the moment when she was pinned underneath the tree, watching as Gohan picked up the insignia she had dropped during their intense clash in the open field. The evidence had been clear in the way it reacted when Gohan held it, affirming her assumption. When Gohan held the insignia, it was like looking into the brilliant blaze of the sun, in comparison, when the silver-haired woman retrieved her stolen insignia from Gohan's grasp, the intense hue diminished to match the worthiness of the female royal candidate.
"It's rather fitting," Elsa admitted with a sly grin, having already forgotten the shame of defeat. "It was fortunate that I had lost to someone like him. It would have dealt a severe blow to my reputation if I had been defeated by a mere weakling."
Elsa thought about how Mother would find it unacceptable if Elsa turned out to be incompetent. Elsa was indeed fortunate to have been thwarted by someone formidable, a powerful man with the admiration of the Holy Dragon. A man with a background like this would make Elsa explaining her defeat much easier to Mother if it was ever required of her to do so.
Regardless, Elsa preferred to keep that information a secret.
Of all things to expect while doing her job, Elsa never thought she would come across a formidable man who could do far more than challenge her in battle. The mystery behind Gohan's strength intrigued her, and the white flames that shrouded him were fascinating and enigmatic. And she loved the fierce expression on Gohan's face during their confrontations.
"Then there's the intriguing scent that lingers on him." Elsa mused aloud, her eyes catching a glimpse of a field of flowers across the vast Lugnican landscape, "Gohan seems to be of mixed blood, yet he lacks the distinct aroma of a demihuman."
While Elsa initially failed to acknowledge this trait about Gohan, his scent did linger in her mind when she thought about him, allowing her to come to the sudden realization that Gohan might not be fully human.
Pondering on the subject, Elsa tried to make a mental comparison, thinking about the vile stench of an animal, which tends to be associated with how most beastmen may smell. But despite Gohan's distinct scent of mixed heritage, he lacked the recognizable aroma of a demihuman.
Elsa's mind scoured through a list of the least detestable races among the demihuman spectrum but couldn't familiarize Gohan's scent with anything she knew.
"If Gohan's other half isn't of demihuman ancestry...," She contemplated with an intrigued expression, "Might he instead be a vampire-hybrid?" Considering Gohan's immense swiftness in battle, his durability against her attacks, and his unending stamina, Elsa could only discern that he might be a vampire.
Elsa muttered with anticipation and rose-tinted cheeks, "You've proven to be quite interesting, Dragon Priest..."
Sitting across from the assassin was her younger companion, Meili Portrute. In the young girl's grasp was a small dagger she had been playing with. As the girl was innocently lining her finger against the dull edge, Meili looked over to Elsa and mused; "To be talking so much about that guy, this Gohan person must have made quite the impression on you, huh big sis?"
Acknowledging Meili's comment, Elsa gave a light nod, "Indeed, he was a lot of fun."
Casually kicking her legs against her seat, Meilia casually asked, "Do you think you have what it takes to kill him?" This question made it seem like killing was a trivial matter and not to be taken as a serious subject. The two of them are assassins, so the subject is trivial and of no consequence to their conscience.
Momentarily pondering the young one's question, Elsa replied, "At the moment, the prince has the advantage in strength and speed, but his reluctance is his weakness. His unwillingness to do what must be done will allow me to grow stronger than ever. Once hone my skills and sharpen my fangs, I shall be more than prepared to defeat him."
"No one is better than you, big sis!" Said Meilii with belief shining in her eyes. "I know you'll beat him the next time you see him!"
Elsa passively smiled at the little one's comment. Being looked up to by a young aspiring assassin gave her a warm feeling of pride. Elsa believed that by training for the next encounter, she would be more than prepared to face Gohan.
Suddenly, the wheels on the carriage skidded on the paved road until it came to an abrupt stop, leaving both assassins in a brief state of visible confusion.
"How peculiar," mused Elsa. "I was certain that the City of Priestella was further away." She then remained silent in contemplation, unsure of what to make of the situation while Meili innocently continued to play with the dull edge of the knife. Then, Elsa's expression changed to the realization that a familiar scent lingered in the air.
Unaware of their current peril, Meili casually wondered aloud, "Maybe the ground dragon needs some more rest."
"No," Elsa clarified with a shake of her head. "His unmistakable scent lingers."
Meili looked up to Elsa in confusion. "Who?" she asked innocently. "Do you mean Gohan?"
Resting her gloved hand on the door handle of the passenger cabin, Elsa explained, "Yes, for him to have found me with ease, he must be just like me."
Meili glanced at Elsa's hand before returning to meet her gaze in concern. 'If what big sis said about that man is true,' thought Meili in visible concern. 'then that would mean...'
With casual nonchalance, Elsa glanced out the window, noting that the carriage had stopped amid a densely lush forest. Now opening the door before descending onto the ground, Elsa noticed the huge boulder blocking the entirety of the paved road ahead.
Now standing to the side of the carriage, Elsa was seen dressed in a much different black cloak that modestly concealed her entire body from her shoulders down to her feet. Very likely underneath the cloak was hidden a new collection of blades that she had quickly acquired the prior night.
The coachman at the front of the carriage was visibly confused. Standing upright from his seat, he mused in bewildered frustration, "I've never seen anything like it." He eyed the obstacle up and down until finally asking no one in particular, "Why's there a massive rock blocking the entire path?"
The man continued with his bewildered expression, his head scanning around for possible clues. "A heavy stone of that size would require several ogres to work together just to place it there."
"Ogres are massive," the man concluded. "yet I see no evidence of disturbed earth to indicate proof of their powerful steps." His expression then shifted to one of realization. "It must have been placed there by magic!"
Shooting a glance at the man, Elsa was intrigued by his ability to speculate what had happened, but she knew the real culprit behind the placement of the boulder. Elsa was internally impressed, realizing that not only was Gohan very fast, capable of tracking her presence with ease, but he was also far stronger than she had initially realized.
Indeed, a massive boulder blocked the entire primitively paved road. To step around the obstacle would mean to wander into the wilderness and abandon their carriage. The freshness of the disturbed earth underneath indicated that the boulder was just recently placed there, meaning that the culprit was nearby.
After the coachman quieted down, a look of fear finally registered, "Dear heavens, is this an ambush?" He glanced left and right in a frenzied panic, the ground dragon now standing attentively after hearing the panicked voice of its master.
Now stepping into full view, it was revealed that Gohan was hiding behind one of the trees, waiting for Elsa's carriage to stop nearby.
They watched Gohan stepping onto the road, before stopping at the middle. He then faced them and spoke, "Sorry, Bowel Hunter. When I said I would bring you to the authorities, I meant every word."
The man watching Gohan heard his statement before glancing at the woman in fear, "The Bowel Hunter?" He cried aloud. "No wonder my ground dragon was restless at her presence."
In response to this, Elsa hummed a casual tune as though the revelation wasn't of dire concern. Now glancing to the frightened Coachman of the carriage, Elsa politely beckoned, "Good sir~, what was your name?"
The panicked Coachman acknowledged her, "T-the name? It's B-Bogdan." (Bogdan is a short man nearing his elderly years. He is dressed in a formal brown attire and isn't canon)
"Bogdan," Elsa began as her gloved hand reached into the crevice of her cloak. "Thank you for your services." The clattering sound of coins could be heard, inciting a look of interest from Bogdan.
The innocent man responsible for transporting Elsa seemed indifferent or ignorant to the inherent danger he was in, but his loyal ground dragon was growling menacingly at Elsa.
Bogdan seemingly forgot about the peril of the Bowel Hunter, ready to receive his pay until a blade flew at him at an alarming speed only for it to hit nothing. The blade seemed to collide against an invisible force in front of his face, causing the weapon to clatter off the coachman's seat until it hit the pavement of the road.
"!" They both stared in confusion before Elsa attempted to reach for another blade. That was when Gohan's hand met hers, deterring her from grabbing another weapon.
After appearing before her instantly, Gohan glared daggers at the woman. "How many times do I have to teach you this lesson!?" he exclaimed, causing a startle from everyone in the vicinity, including the innocent ground dragon.
Glancing down, Gohan saw the grounded blade before kicking it aside, everyone watched it skid across the field before it fell into the woods.
Then the feeling of Gohan's unrelenting grip on Elsa's wrist tightened and would have been painful to anyone, but not to Elsa. Yet, instead of attempting to wrest her hand free, she embraced her defeat, evidenced by the slumping of her shoulders and her reluctant sigh.
Realizing that Elsa would not put up a fight, Gohan asked, "What's wrong? You aren't going to resist like you did before?"
Her head now facing downward, Elsa's eyes looked up to acknowledge Gohan's downward gaze at her, "I'm a stubborn girl, but I know my limits."
"Hn! Good." Now glancing back at the startled coachman, Gohan addressed him, "My apologies, sir. I know I'm interfering with your business, but I have to ensure that this dangerous lady won't hurt anyone."
Bogdan sighed in relief before saying, "May the gods bless you for saving my life." He then stepped down from the carriage with a thankful expression.
Gohan smiled. "I'm glad to have been of assistance." Responded Gohan. "Just don't do business with dangerous people."
Reminiscing the events of the morning, the man explained, "I had a strange sensation that this woman might have been dangerous, but I couldn't bring myself to decline a generous customer. For now, I wish to spend the rest of the month with my family."
Gohan nodded. "Do be safe out there." Then he reverted his attention to Elsa with a stern glare, earning a frown in return.
The coachman placed a saddle upon the ground dragon before removing the reigns on the animal. Now mounting onto the majestic reptile, the man waved at Gohan, "Do ensure that vile woman is brought to justice." before taking off in the general direction of the nearest town. He didn't bother bringing the carriage with him, further proving his unwillingness to continue with the same job. Perhaps the man would come back and retrieve the carriage at a later time but he seemed far more eager to leave as soon as possible.
Now that the innocent man was far away, Gohan released his hold on the woman's hand, looking her over in disappointment.
"Why did you try killing him?" Asked Gohan, his bewildered eyes searching hers for an answer.
Nonchalantly adjusting her long hair with a sweep of her hand, she replied with indifference, "He had outlived his usefulness."
Displeased with her response, Gohan leaned closer and elevated his voice, "Don't you care if he has a family!?"
"A family?" Asked Elsa with lit-up eyes, as though an idea or a realization came to mind.
"Yes! Don't you have a family? How do you think your family would feel if you never returned home because someone had killed you?"
Rebuking him, Elsa interjected, "Should you bring me to the authorities, anyone supposedly related to me would never see me again."
"That's-" Gohan stuttered. "It's not the same! It's not like I'm trying to take your life."
Elsa's eyes scanned the surroundings as she changed the subject, "How did you find me so quickly?" She seemed to be looking for something in the vicinity, like a potential advantage or possibly evidence of how Gohan had found her with ease.
"I persisted, nothing extraordinary," Gohan replied, noticing the way her eyes observed their surroundings.
Elsa frowned, now focusing entirely on Gohan. "You're being evasive," her disappointed expression displayed her dissatisfaction. "You had a whole night to rest, an entire morning to feast, yet you found me with precision. You stopped me on the road as if you knew exactly where to find me."
"People call you the Bowel Hunter," Gohan began, emphasizing his disgust at her title. "but I'm something of a hunter myself, not officially, but I could earn that title if I wanted to."
"How intriguing," Elsa feigned a smile. "Still wish to remain elusive with your methods?"
"I don't need to explain myself to you," Gohan dismissed, his tone hinting at disdain. "A murderer like you should look forward to serving a prison sentence."
After being close enough to judge Gohan's scent a final time, Elsa remained clueless about his true nature. Meanwhile, Gohan openly stated that he was unwilling to divulge any information about himself to her. Because of this, Elsa determined that if she were to ask Gohan about his identity, he would respond with an unsatisfying answer.
Silence loomed between them until Gohan spoke again.
"Your energy is rising as if you're anticipating a fight, but let's put those ideas to rest. Just now, you were observing our surroundings, trying to gauge if you could use something to your advantage. Just know that it won't work on me."
"It's an old habit of mine," Elsa replied dismissively with a wave of her hand. "It's something you pick up in my line of work."
"Fine, I see how it is." Gohan suddenly held up one of Elsa's previously concealed weapons. "Hit me as hard as you can, so that you may put your grudge to rest."
"Do you genuinely think that I have a grudge against-" Now visibly wide-eyed, Elsa realized Gohan had taken another one of her weapons without her notice.
Elsa's shock changed to an amused expression. "You brute~," she playfully spat. "You portray yourself as civilized, yet you shamelessly reach into the garments of a beautiful lady to steal from her?"
Shaking his head, Gohan voiced his disagreement, "There's nothing brutish about disarming a dangerous criminal."
Hearing what Gohan had just said, Elsa suddenly wore a fanatical expression with a slight blush. "Try as you might, but you'll have to do a more thorough search~ if you wish to deprive me of my claws and fangs."
The Saiyan blushed as he remembered Elsa's inappropriate remarks the previous night.
"Don't you know... that a woman has more hiding places than men?"
Gohan visibly cringed, almost forgetting that the woman who stood before him was mentally insane in a unique way.
Elsa seemed ready to disrobe as she continued speaking, "I'd resist if it were anyone else, but with you? I'll look the other way~."
With clenched fists, Gohan rebuked loudly, "I WILL DO NO SUCH THING!"
Elsa stepped back in awkward bewilderment as Gohan regained his bearings. Then he placed a shaky hand on his head and gently ran his fingers through his hair. With a gaze of discomfort that stared at the ground, Gohan continued saying, "Gosh, you're so weird."
Gohan thought, 'I wanted to try something that Cell did against Vegeta. But this lady is so weird! I should just forget about it.'
Elsa noticed Gohan's silence. "As you were previously saying," She began eagerly. "you wished for me to strike at you with all of my strength?"
Gohan glanced at her once more and nervously nodded, "Um, yes, but don't misunderstand." To save face, Gohan's voice shifted to match his newfound confidence. Then, he extended the thumb of his other hand towards himself, continuing his explanation, "Let me clarify. I don't mean half as hard or an arbitrary amount of force. I want you to hit me as HARD as you CAN."
Flipping the weapon and catching the blade's tip, Gohan offered the hilt to Elsa, who responded by curiously looking at it. "Simply put," Said Gohan. "I'll let you go if you can hurt me."
Elsa blinked in visible confusion before a look of sensual anticipation adorned her expression once her eyes met his confident gaze. "Either you've gone insane~, or you truly have what it takes to survive one of my lovebites~." She now held the blade after taking it back from Gohan's grasp, a look of excitement adorning her expression. "Regardless, with a proposal like that, how can a girl like me refuse you~?"
Lowering his hand, Gohan further explained, "It was cruel of me to leave you trapped underneath that fallen tree, but this should make us even and put your grudge to rest. Are you ready?"
"May I attack from any angle~?" asked Elsa with flushed cheeks, readying herself into a pouncing position while wielding the blade with both hands. Her eyes focused on Gohan's midsection, revealing where she intended to attack him.
"Have as many attempts as you want," Gohan replied with an indifferent expression. "Let's put your title to the test, Bowel Hunter."
Elsa thought about it for a moment, pondering the best way to attack him. She reflected, 'Last night when my blade struck his stomach, it barely did anything at all.'
Then her mind revisited when she kicked Gohan with tremendous force, flinging him outside the warehouse entrance. Before he could collide against the ground, Elsa threw her blade at his stomach, only managing to slice through the Green Gi but failing to gut him. Only after Gohan believed that he had knocked her unconscious did he voice his complaint.
She heard him say, 'That blade almost went through me like a vaccine needle.' indicating that he wasn't fully prepared to receive that hit.
'What are his intentions?' Elsa thought, trying to discern Gohan's thought process. 'Was a small scratch to his gut enough to hurt his pride as a man that he's demanding a rematch?'
The assassin's eyes searched Gohan's determined gaze, seeking answers behind his decision to let her attack him. All she saw was a wall of confidence as if he knew the predicted outcome of her pointless resistance. If Gohan was afraid, Elsa would have already discerned that from his scent, but she didn't.
'If he's certain that my strikes cannot graze him,' she wondered. 'then why bother doing this? Could it be that he's invulnerable when his guard is up? Does this mean the best time to strike is when he's not focused on my movements?'
"What's wrong?" asked Gohan, noticing Elsa taking too long to act. "You seemed excited not too long ago. Are you calling it quits then?"
She seemed ready to pounce until she eased her posture into a non-hostile stance, causing visible confusion for Gohan.
"So I take it you'll know your place?" Asked Gohan as he looked over Elsa's harmless stance, but she remained audibly silent and disinterested in his act of machismo.
Elsa shifted her attention elsewhere, her eyes now observing the carriage without its Ground Dragon. Gohan followed her gaze until they both saw a small girl shyly watching them as she hid her body inside the passenger cabin of the carriage.
Wide-eyed, Gohan wondered aloud, "How come I didn't notice her energy up until now?" Then Gohan shouted in concern for the little girl's safety, "Stay away! Elsa is dangerous!"
Grinning at what appeared to be Gohan's focus shifting to something else, the world's time slowed down as Elsa swiftly dashed behind Gohan with an attack that was moments from slicing into her victim's neck.
Elsa eagerly watched as her blade came close to hitting its mark, but what she didn't expect was for Gohan to move with such incredible speed that it seemed like the back of his body morphed into his front. It was like the back of his head morphed into a face at a moment's notice. Furthermore, Gohan's hand was outstretched, stopping the sharp blade with only an index finger. His finger was enough to stop the full force of her body weight being pushed into that attack. Not even the shockwave of her movement caused any visible harm to his hand, his face, or his hair.
Time resumed its normal flow as Elsa desperately attacked him from all angles. She moved like a blur, slashing at his left and right, occasionally leaping onto the trees and then jumping off to pack extra velocity into her attacks, but nothing seemed to work in Elsa's favor. It was as if an invisible shield of energy guarded Gohan as he stood there, unmoving from his position.
Finally, Gohan declared, "That's enough!" and stepped into Elsa's stance, causing her to lose balance, to which she responded by easily regaining her footing. She once again slashed at Gohan's midsection, only for him to smack away her weapon of choice. They both watched as the blade clattered harmlessly on the ground before falling into a small puddle of water, their reflections being marred by the sudden disturbance.
Despite having not struck her once, Elsa fell onto her knees as if she were a helpless damsel submitting to a powerful ogre. The mental imagery infuriated Elsa to no end; the mental parallel to her past as a helpless child was insulting.
Glaring daggers at Gohan, she cried out, "Was your pride so shattered that you followed me all this way just to humiliate me!?"
Gohan stood over her with a sorrowful gaze. "I'm sorry, it wasn't my intention to humiliate you. As I said before, the way I treated you last night was wrong, so I thought we could get even if I let you hit me back."
Elsa stared with a blank expression before letting out a girlish giggle as she covered her mouth, to which Gohan responded by nervously scratching the back of his head.
Elsa then explained, "No wonder you insisted that I have some kind of grudge against you." Finally calming down, her anger completely faded. "You're quite endearing," said Elsa with a blush, "for you to believe it's appropriate to apologize to a dangerous killer."
"I only did what I thought was right!" exclaimed Gohan with a frustrated exhale. "I also thought this would serve to prove how outmatched you are, should you decide to cause me any more trouble."
Elsa's tone was dismissive as she regarded him. "Already, I had no intention of fighting you," then she wore an amused demeanor, "yet you insisted that I must brandish my fangs, should I desire to persist in my freedom."
Meili finally descended from the passenger cabin, catching Gohan's attention with the sudden movement. He observed as Meili rushed to Elsa's side, falling before her with a desperate plea. The little girl cried out, "Please don't take away my big sis! Please, mister!"
Visibly perplexed, Gohan watched as Meili clung to Elsa's midsection.
"You're her sister!?" Gohan exclaimed, his shoulders tense with the revelation.
Tenderly running her fingers through Meili's hair, Elsa spoke in a motherly tone, "Don't cry for me. I was a bad girl, so I must leave forever."
"NOO!" Visibly saddened, the little girl started tearing up, sobbing loudly. Gohan felt a pang of shame, torn between sympathy and the duty to prevent a criminal from going free. Meili continued to cry, pleading with her big sis not to leave her side.
With a look of concern, Gohan asked in a bewildered tone, "Elsa, why was there a kid with you this whole time?"
Elsa glanced back at Gohan, feigning sadness but internally amused. "It's up to me to return little sis to the safety of Mother's embrace. But now that the ground dragon is gone, how will we return home on time?"
Gohan wished to interject, but he kept listening.
Elsa continued explaining, "Will you prevent me from returning my little sister to Mother? Will you allow a child to remain homeless? How would Mother feel not knowing where her two daughters are sleeping tonight? Is her young one being fed? Is the eldest still alive? Her questions will never be answered as she cries herself to sleep."
Watching Gohan's horrified expression, Elsa reveled in his soft-hearted nature. Gohan listened attentively, showing no intentions of rebuking Elsa's claims.
Elsa continued explaining, "Will you be so heartless as to prevent me from returning this defenseless young girl to the safety of her home, where she will be safe, have warm meals, and await a clean bed to sleep on?"
"No!" Responded Gohan with a feeling of guilt. "That's not my intention!"
"If you're bound by your word, then that's exactly what you intended to do," Elsa responded in a harsh tone. "Your supposed justice would result in ruining the life of this young child."
Again, Meili cried loudly, pleading that Elsa not leave her side.
"Alright, I get it!" exclaimed Gohan, trying to conceal tears of his own. "I'll help return your sister home. And I'll let you explain to your mother that you're being detained for your crimes. That way, you can at least say your final goodbyes."
Smiling, Elsa pulled her supposed sister a little closer for a hug, to which Meili responded by doing the same. Their eyes looking at Gohan with vulnerability, Elsa explained, "We require another coachman with an able ground dragon willing to take us. We must depart to the nearest town on foot and-"
Gohan interrupted, "I can fly you back to your home."
The vulnerable expression of both girls shifted to bewilderment as if Gohan had grown a second head, but he wasn't having any of it.
"Listen," Gohan began. "I'll carry one of you, but the other must hold onto me for dear life." Now giving Elsa a stern look, he explained, "I don't care about your comfort since you can shatter the bones of men just by hitting them. I'm sure you're strong enough that you won't fall so easily if you hold on tightly."
Elsa then asked, "Is flying how you found me so quickly?" Still seated on the ground, Elsa subconsciously looked to the skies as if she would find evidence, to which Meili responded by doing the same.
Gohan nodded, saying, "Yes, I flew here by myself using... magic." Gohan didn't want to explain the intricacies of Ki's manipulation to everyone, so he preferred to remain easy to understand. Elsa still seemed to be skeptical but decided to take his word. Meili at least seemed to believe his claim.
"When will we be departing?" asked Meili as she wiped away her tears on the long sleeve of her shirt.
"We're leaving right now," responded Gohan as he presented his hand to her. When she simply stared at his hand in confusion, Gohan reassured her, "Don't worry, I have carried bigger and heavier people without ever letting them fall."
Meili still stared at his outstretched hand before finally separating herself from the embrace of Elsa. Meili nervously stepped closer to Gohan and accepted to hold his hand, to which the Saiyan responded by gently pulling her closer before picking her up with the most tender care in the world. When Meili wrapped her arms around Gohan's neck for better support, she blushed nervously but Gohan didn't notice.
Now holding the child in his careful embrace, Gohan glanced at Elsa with the stern son family expression, expecting her to step behind him to hold on tightly.
"What are you waiting for?" asked Gohan, audibly impatient and unamused by the situation. "Get up, drop all of your weapons, then hold onto me."
Elsa simply licked her lips, to which Gohan responded by raising his brow at her. Finally, Elsa stood up and disarmed herself from every concealed weapon she had underneath her black cloak. Casually taking her time revealing blade after blade, she tossed them to the side of the road where they clattered loudly on the ground.
Still holding the nervous girl in the embrace of his arms, Gohan grew visibly impatient at the Bowel Hunter. "Are you done yet?" asked Gohan, to which Elsa responded with a nod and a look of sensual anticipation in her eyes, causing Gohan to look at her with an oblivious gaze of discomfort.
Once Elsa stepped behind him, she pressed her well-endowed chest against the Saiyan's back, eliciting a nervous exhale from him. As her breath graced the back of his neck, her arms wrapped around his body before her legs did the same. Even though Elsa's entire body remained concealed by the modest cloak, it didn't help that her chest was pressed against his back. And her breath smelled somewhat nice to him.
In a mental panic, Gohan thought, 'Perhaps I didn't think this through,' only now realizing that underneath the assassin's modestly concealing cloak was a well-endowed feminine body. He mentally concluded, 'Master Roshi would undoubtedly make fun of me if he learned about this.'
Elsa could sense the Saiyan's nervous discomfort to which she teased, "Am I pressing too hard against you? Oh, how nearly I neglected the fact that your concern for my well-being matches my indifference to yours."
"That's enough!" Gohan's shout echoed through the air. Deciding to focus on the task at hand, the ground beneath the Saiyan stirred as he gracefully ascended into the air. Meili gazed downward in awe as they rose higher and higher, abruptly stopping just above the treeline.
"Wow!" exclaimed the girl. "We're hovering in midair!"
Elsa hummed in fascination, now believing the claim that Gohan could fly. It was no wonder he caught up to her in no time. But she still didn't understand how Gohan knew which carriage she rode as a passenger.
"Ah, I can't forget," Gohan remarked, shifting his attention to the huge rock still obstructing the paved path below. "I can't allow this boulder to disrupt anyone else's journey," he declared, aiming his hand at the obstacle and exerting his Ki with a powerful exhale.
"Ha!" A Kiai wave utterly obliterated the massive rock, sending rock shards into the lush green forest below. The nearby trees now bore evidence of the powerful force that had just been unleashed. Holes marred the trees and shards of rock remained etched into them creating a shocking display of power.
Elsa watched in amazement. She already knew that she was outclassed by Gohan, but the extent of the difference surprised her. With a simple gesture and a forceful breath, Gohan effortlessly destroyed a massive boulder with an unseen energy force. A chilling realization dawned on her—if Gohan had been ruthless, he could have easily crushed everyone in the carriage with that boulder yet chose to block the road instead.
With that same technique, Gohan could have destroyed the Bowel Hunter's entire body. To think that he was capable of far worse things, Elsa initially thought that Gohan tracked her down only with the most negative of intentions in mind.
Elsa pondered, 'Capella would undoubtedly want to hear about this man.'
Snapping her back to reality, Elsa's ears caught the sound of Gohan's voice, breaking through the momentary daze. "Hey! I said tell me where we're going!"
Meili chimed in since Elsa remained silent, "Just follow the road below," Meili directed, her gaze focused on the landscape unfolding beneath them. "From the sky, we'll be able to see the City of Priestella."
"Very well," responded Gohan tenderly to the younger girl. Then he glanced back at Elsa with disdain behind his voice, "And Elsa, I want you to stop pressing yourself against my back," he demanded, his tone carrying a mix of nervous irritation.
With a girlish giggle, Elsa rebuked, "I'm afraid I cannot oblige your request~, for I must hold on for dear life, just as you said~," A hint of amusement laced her words as she squeezed her well-endowed breasts onto Gohan's back again, much to his audible discomfort and her visible delight. Elsa seemed to have already forgotten the shame of defeat after discovering an easy method of causing Gohan the most discomfort without having to directly fight him.
With a discontented expression, Gohan sighed, finding himself reluctantly agreeing to the situation. He groaned in response before resuming his flight, propelling them forward through the open sky.

Spread across a noxious, swampy lake lay the battered and fatigued body of the White Whale. Lying on its right side, half of its enormous body remained submerged beneath the putrid water. A steady stream poured in and out of its massive maw as it passively groaned in pain. Though audibly breathing and undeniably alive, the Whale bore the unmistakable signs of a severe beating, rendering it in a state of gradual recovery.
On the dry shore, two figures stood before the behemoth, pondering the source of the monstrous damage inflicted upon it. One, towering and adorned in an elegant white suit suitable for high-society affairs, exuded an air of annoyance. The other, considerably shorter with long brown hair, and clad in filthy religious garments, joined in the contemplation.
"How utterly annoying," remarked the taller man with a displeased expression. "I have every right to know who caused such devastating harm to your pet. It couldn't have been the Sword Saint, as there are no visible cuts across its body, and it certainly wasn't some mindless beast of the world that attacked it."
He continued his musings until the shorter man pointed curiously at a peculiar sight on the White Whale.
"?" The taller man raised an eyebrow, seeking an explanation. "What is it, Ley? Speak up! It is my right to know what you've observed."
Responding with a starved groan, the shorter man uttered, "Regulus, that's the mark of a fist!"
Comprehending Ley's indication, the taller man did an impressive leap and landed on the fatigued beast's head, allowing him to scrutinize the prominent bruise mark that had been pointed at.
Kneeling onto one knee, Regulus commented, "How intriguing," a newfound fascination found its way onto his visage. "An extraordinary individual of the world delivered a powerful strike to the whale—with their fist, no less."
Now standing upright, Regulus leaped back to the dry shore where he once stood. Now acknowledging his shorter companion, he explained, "Unless that individual is fully capable of slaying your pet," he abruptly paused before shifting his tone to match his disdain and disgust. "it was utterly slothful of them to let it live after damaging it this much."
A certain word Regulus mentioned reminded him of someone he wasn't accustomed to being in the presence of, and it visibly displeased him.
Now calming his nerves, Regulus concluded, "No matter. We shall simply strengthen the Whale before releasing it back into its hunting grounds. And then I shall return to the wonderful life that I was entitled to."

[BONUS SCENE]
The Master Swordsman stood still for a moment as the realization finally hit him, "I seem to have not picked up on how to fly." Muttered Reinhard in abject embarrassment, for his ability to manipulate Ki was limited to the physical enhancement of his body and sensing for Ki signatures.
Observing the Saiyan vanish across the horizon, Reinhard contemplated, "Unfortunately, I am left to acquire this skill through traditional means," he voiced his thoughts. "Amazingly, my reliance on the spirits and my divine blessings won't suffice in teaching me everything regarding Ki."
Now that Gohan had completely vanished, Reinhard's thoughts delved into the details of the latest knight report that changed his perception of last night's events.
'That controversial report...' Thought Reinhard, as though rereading it with his mind's eye. 'it aimed to clarify the false belief that Gohan had vanquished the infamous Witch Beast. Instead, it stated that Gohan had willingly spared the monster's life by relocating it to a safe place, believing it to be an innocent creature.'
Reinhard remembered how the Saiyan had held the Whale by the tail and lifted it skyward. The Witchbeast had to be monstrously heavy, yet he spun it in circles before sending its body hurtling across the vastness of the world upon its release. By the night's start, Gohan had faced the Bowel Hunter twice, coming out unhurt and ready for more battles if necessary.
While it was all impressive, Reinhard shook his head in visible disappointment. 'This simply will not do,' Reinhard contemplated with internal worry. 'If Gohan is well capable of vanquishing the beast by himself, he should have done so. Despite knowing the damage the Whale had caused to the Royal Capital when it attacked, strangely, he chose to spare its life. This will surely disqualify him from becoming part of the Royal Selection, should anyone raise that as an argument against him. I fear this to be the inevitable outcome, that he won't be considered for a position as a viable candidate.'
Lacking evidence of a body, Reinhard thought he was foolish to initially believe that Gohan had slain the monster. Reinhard pondered in thought, 'The revelation that Gohan had spared its life worries me, not because I fear the monster but because I understand that he had made a grave mistake.'
'For someone like Gohan, who was more than capable of overpowering the Whale, to simply spare its life was outrageously infuriating. That was to spit in the face of the dead, all of the lives taken by the mabeast throughout the ages. Perhaps there's a way to save him, should he demonstrate interest in the Royal selection. I need only to arrange a marriage between Gohan and a Dragon Priestess.'
Reinhard discerned that if Gohan was to be disqualified due to a technicality, Reinhard could ensure that Gohan remains relevant.
'My best option would be to arrange a marriage between Lady Felt and Gohan. Their arrangement is simply too convenient. Their destiny is tied, given that Gohan was the man to discover her candidacy. Furthermore, Lady Felt was the catalyst for uncovering Gohan's candidacy.'
With his mind's eye, he envisioned the two of them at a wedding, but it didn't seem right. It was as though he knew that it was never meant to happen.
Shifting in his stance, he glanced to the left, as though he was looking at another person standing right in front of him. He envisioned Lady Emilia standing next to Gohan and thought about it for a moment;
'But what if Gohan doesn't want to unite with Lady Felt? I am unsure that he would find interest in Lady Emilia, given her visible similarities to the abhorred Witch. Although, Gohan never expressed disinterest in Emilia and almost departed to the Mathers Domain with her...'
Reinhard then glanced in the opposite direction, as if looking at another person that stood before him. 'Neither am I certain that Gohan would desire Priscilla Barielle, a proud woman with a reputation of having many former husbands. Her Moniker of the Blood-Stained-Bride might frighten him.'
Shifting in his stance again, Reinhard thought, 'Dutches Karsten had refused many marriage proposals in the past, I am unsure of her intentions, but perhaps she's far more interested in preserving the integrity of her domain than in merging assets with an ambitious Patriarch. And lastly, Miss Hoshin is already married to another man.'
Finally taking off in a purposeful walk toward the Populated city, Reinhard continued pondering, 'But might I be getting ahead of myself? What does Gohan think of the Royal Selection? Has he yet to express his disinterest in the matter? Perhaps I should have inquired of his concerns before he took off in search of the Bowel Hunter.'
"Sigh, Dear divines..." Reinhard's shoulders slumped in mental exhaustion. "Were it not for my undeserved advantages, I would have been a failed knight..."
As Reinhard resumed his patrols, he searched through narrow alleys and dark valleys for evidence that the Bowel Hunter had already been killed or captured. As he stepped out of an unmarked building in the middle of nowhere a familiar voice called out to him.
"Reinhard, it's me, Gohan."
The Swordsman stopped in place as he glanced around in bewilderment. "Where did you come from?" Seeing that he remained alone, an even more confused expression adorned his face before he heard Gohan speak again.
"I'm speaking to you telepathically. Listen, I found Elsa Grahnhiert, but she has a little sister. She has nothing to do with Elsa's crimes, so I'm escorting the kid to her home. Elsa is with me to ensure that her sister remains safe. I'm telling you this so that you can stop searching for a corpse that doesn't exist."
"What?" Asked Reinhard out loud, seemingly talking to nobody in the middle of nowhere. "And you're trusting the words of that dangerous assassin!?"
"I cannot hear you if you're responding, but I'll teach you the technique whenever I come back. I know there's still much you don't know about Ki, but I'd prefer someone like you to know more about it."
"I have to find them!" Exclaimed Reinhard in visible panic. "Before something happens to Gohan!" Reinhard became a blur as he took off in a mad dash, hoping that the Bowel Hunter didn't trick Gohan into doing something that could get him killed.

(2) MY COMMENTS:
(1) About Reinhard: While the spirits did bless him with an understanding of Ki, ultimately, that power has not been understood long enough for anyone in Lugnica or the other nations to have an affinity for it. Reinhard is the rare exception but, anyone else won't use Ki without the talent or the proper body. While Master Roshi in the original Dragon Ball anime does understand Ki, it took him many years simply to create or master the Kamehameha wave.
But for Reinhard, he just needs a pointer in the right direction or a proper explanation and he'll be up to speed in no time thanks to his talent as a warrior and his divine blessings. This should mean that nobody in Lugnica will be manipulating Ki out of nothing simply because a random lesser spirit tells them about Ki's manipulation. That is unless you're the Sword Saint.
Admittedly, allowing Reinhard to manipulate Ki wasn't properly thought about in the prior chapter, but this new explanation should balance things out.
Keep in mind, that the OG protagonist of Re: Zero was suddenly able to use magic in the anime when he held the hand of Beatrice after forming a contract with her. Still, Ki isn't magic, so unless we change our mind about this, only the Sword Saint will learn Ki because he has cheats turned on at all times. This should also give Gohan a sparring partner so he stays in shape.
(2) About the Writer: This chapter isn't 20,000 words like before because I became lazy, also, I still don't know how to write the interactions for the Sin Archbishops. Nonetheless, it's inevitable since Gohan can fly across the continent in a short amount of time and may encounter them by accident. It's going to be lame if Gohan defeats all of the tough enemies so soon, meaning Gohan's attention has to be stalled long enough for the story to not end fast. But it's a Re: Zero fic and I'm sure that nobody is interested in reading about characters who never existed in the light novel or the anime just to increase the word count.
From reading the previous chapters, where do you think the story is going next? The majority of my inspiration dried up during the last 10,000 words.
My first guess is Roswaal would be confused as to why the male Dragon Priest didn't arrive with Emilia at his mansion just like his Gospel should have stated. So he may try to intervene if Gohan doesn't put more focus on Emilia. But given that Gohan isn't a socially deprived Japanese male, he's not concerned with the same things that Natsuki Subaru wants in life.
I just want to see if people enjoy this direction in the story before I decide to continue it.
